I want to love this place so much - its a little local cafe in a lovely spot with outdoor seating which makes me want to go every time I walk past. However I've been twice now and I definitely wouldn't bother again. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt - I don't mind a relaxed vibe in terms of service - but the staff are just don't seem to care and as a result it is unenjoyable. Both times I've had to ask for menus and later to order after no one came (most people around me have had to do the same both times), and both times the food has been missing things - the first time my coffee had no syrup and the second time someone had forgotten to put any ham in the ham and cheese croissant. Honestly such a shame this place is let down by the staff. They seem lovely but can't do their job.

My young colleague had extolled the wonders of the Curious Yellow Kafe on Pitfield Street, so we went. The lady behind the display was on her own, so wasn’t serving coffees; we opted for one of the specials of the day, a roasted dhal soup with rustic bread. It was delicious.

I’ve been going here almost daily since September, It has a special place in my heart because the staff are so welcoming and friendly and the food is excellent. The dog Louis is gorgeous and so nice and loves to play. My favourite cafe in London :)

Everyone in or around Shoreditch should visit this cafe. The charming Persian lady, Shoko, makes an amazing iced coffee. It reminded me of the iced coffee we used to have in Sri Lanka, back in the 80s. It's one of my all time favourite drinks. One also comes across interesting people here. The location is ideal as the area is never crowded and one doesn't feel rushed. Shoko is very welcoming, charming and friendly.

No pressure. Welcoming. Outside tables near a little grass. Inside some old wood stuff and shiny metal trunking. Good choice from omnivorous and veggie selection of quality basics. Coffee OK too.

Great food, great atmosphere. Really enjoyed it! Fresh orange juice was really good, pancakes tasty, avocado toast very Good. And the mango porridge was the best porridge i have ever tasted!

A really friendly place with great food and coffee. Top location. We sat outside in the sunshine watching the world go by. Music was spot on too if you like disco/soulful beats

Definitely not a place to go when in a hurry. Friendly staff but you’ll find yourself waiting for even a basic coffee. Good place to unwind no doubt, but no more than an ok place to pop into if you are passing by.

Le meilleur pancake que j’ai jamais goûté ! On a également testé le brunch typique anglais (moi) et scandinave (mon copain) et s’était délicieux ! Petit à l’intérieur mais très confortable et accueillant (terrasse en été je pense), déco scandinave, plats pour tous les goûts (vegan, sans gluten), les serveurs sympathiques. Top.

Bonne découverte en allant à Shoreditch. Brunch végétariens, vegan ou pas. Inspirations British, scandinaves ou orientales. Produits frais et plats bien servis. Note spéciale pour le dessert de pancakes aux fruits, un vrai délice.

I liked my vegetarian plate, but I also helped myself to my boyfriends sausage - disgusting. Also the giant beans we had cane cold in me middle, they were not reheated properly. Also my kale was just taken out of water - boring and flavourless.

Endroit très sympathique. Très bon accueil. Les produits sont très bons et les quantités généreuses. Jus de fruit frais et produits frais. Avec une terrasse extérieur. Un brunch savoureux au soleil.

I’m not exaggerating when I write this review. My friend and I ordered two breakfast plates at 13:13 and did not get our food until 13:52. The staff did not check up on us and was unapologetic when I went up to check on my food.It was not even busy... I ordered the eggs Benedict and the eggs were over cooked. It was very bland and sloppy. You would hung the food would’ve came out perfect due to the long wait but I guess not. Stay away and go to the surrounding cafes.

We went here with my son on a recent trip to London. The cafe has a really relaxed atmosphere, teh staff were firendly, and we felt at home straight-away, the menu had a nice variety to it. The service was very friendly, our food took a while to arrive, but I guess when something is being made from scratch it takes a bit of time. The coffee was great, the food was very nice and we had a great breakfast watching the commuters pass by the front window on their way to work.And it was also a very good value.

Had brunch here today with friends and more of a mixed experience than the last time I was here. Our food took FOREVER to come despite this being such a small place. I got the aubergine and tofu curry (sans rice) which I thought was quite tasty and a good value; not the best food I’ve ever had but nicely rich. I also got the spiced pumpkin soup with kale and that was a huge disappointment. The portion is enormous but the soup was totally flavourless. I took maybe a few spoonfuls and the rest went to waste. My husband liked his lamb burger and my friend got the Swedish meatballs and found them tasty enough. Not sure I would return here again unless the food I had on my first visit returned to the menu.

All I can say is that I will certainly never return to this place... Slow service! Slow everything! Spacing is limited! "Friends Of Ours" is a much better option which I have been going to more regularly!

There are some very fine cafes on Pitfield Street but the coffee and the atmosphere make this place the best. Great breakfasts and soups too. And the staff are always smiling and chatty. Perfect.

Ein unglaublich nettes und gemütliches Café! Das Frühstück war toll, auch die Smoothies und Tees und das Team unglaublich freundlich! Tolle Bagles, super Atmosphäre, hat uns wirklich sehr gefallen!

10. 30 a mediados de semana y les gustaría salir de croissants. . OK! Así que pedí tostada con jamón y queso y un café. Como Russell H, el café llegó muy rápidamente pero estaba tibia y descuidada. . . . ¡PUAJ! Esperamos otro 11 minutos y recibido mi llevar orden de tostadas secas, una jarra de mermelada y una taza de mantequilla! Esperar. . Qué? ! Volvimos a la tienda donde el cocinero me dijo, eso es lo que pedí? ! Cualquier servicio de atención al cliente aquí o están todavía aprendiendo? ! Es lo que realmente tome 11 minutos + para hacer dos rebanadas de pan. . E incluso entonces. la orden estaba equivocado! Simplemente, no podía estómago otro minuto en ese lugar, así que me dieron mi dinero y a la izquierda. . . . . También me devolvieron el café! Mal servicio. El cocinero cuidado aunque evidentemente no fingió tranquilizarme y luego rápidamente me ignoró. Tostadas no toma mucho tiempo. Yo creo que saben que valor cuyos negocios y obviamente no era mío ese día. Claro que cada cliente no es tratado igual. Hmmm, no es la nueva Hoxton aunque la gente! Mi consejo, no aproveche la oportunidad! Hay un montón de restaurantes cerca a lo largo de la preciosa y antigua calle del mercado. Pensé que iba a seguirlo porque no había probado antes y estaba de paso.

lovely staff, delicious food and warm atmosphere. One of the few places in London you are truly welcomed in. A little escape from the cold. Highly recommended.

Lugar muy agradable café acogedor, ideal para el desayuno o el almuerzo. La comida era deliciosa: Me encantaron los pasteles y panecillos, y hay una gran variedad, también el café. Servicio muy relajado, que, en días muy ocupados, tales como los fines de semana, podría ser algo lento, pero no tanto como un problema para mí. El ambiente es muy agradable y en verano las mesas de afuera son increíbles.

Great little cafe near old street, and The Swedish meatballs are great. They have seperate menus for lunch and breakfast, with a good selection and some tasty Swedish dishes, the pricing was really good especially compared to nearby well worth a visit.

Stopped by the Kafe for breakfast with my family. Lovely coffee, food and service. It's a little cramped and a bit expensive but definitely worth a visit.

This little cafe` is really cute and it has a good selection of tea and coffee. The food is homemade and very tasty.

I came here on a Saturday for a brunch, I had the Eggs Benedict for £7 and a banana shake. The food was lovely, the hollandaise was perfect and the service was quick and courteous. Would definitely come again and highly recommend.

I've picked up lunch from the Yellow Kafe several times and it's always been both very tasty and given me the feeling of having a healthy, 'proper' lunch. It's tastes and looks likes it's 'home-cooked' in the best sense of the word. The service is personal and friendly, if not always super quick or efficient. The coffee and tea selection is broad and so far they've all been very nice.

Popped in for a cup of tea while waiting for my car to charge over the road. Very friendly staff and very accommodating. I didn't eat so can't comment on that but the cup of tea I had was great and very reasonably priced. I will return when next in the area.

This place is my local. Whilst the coffee may not be as good as some other East London cafes, the service is generally second to none. All the staff are so friendly and attentive, you never get a side order of condescendence that is becoming omnipresent in the area from baristas.The choc beetroot cake is heavenly and their swedish meatballs with mash and lingon berry jam always hits the spot.

I have been about 6 times before meeting our son who is in halls around the corner. In 2 minds as to go again. I had the farmers breakfast today. Bacon done to within an inch of its life and the sausage very underdone. Replaced the hash brown with chips as they had run out without asking me. THis breakfast costs £7.50. I complained about it and left my chips and sausage but they did not follow up on it. I am not sure that they care. They have a rule about laptop usage at peak times but customers ignore it. So sit nurses a latte or tea for hours. Uphold your rule or abandon it otherwise it just irritates. The plus side the coffee is fantastic and maybe this was just a bad day at the office for them but I fear standards are slipping.
