Cup + Lid in Leeds

First visit in need of a good coffee. Tried here in this very modern minimal setup. Although they seem to focus on hot choc we went coffee and it didn't disappoint. The seating seems a little odd, not enough stools for the tables.

When I went in the staff were really busy serving a large takeout order but were really friendly and welcoming Enjoyed the hot chocolate Good to see an independent cafe Hope it continues to thrive it deserves to do so from my experience

I was disgusted to learn of the vile hate campaign being directed against this business by dishonest hateful people who have probably never even been in. I would always choose an independent coffee shop, such as Cup + Lid, rather than a chain, and this is now my number one choice when visiting Leeds city centre.

Lovely spot with reasonably priced goods. The service was warm and friendly. Definitely student friendly! Give them a visit with friends or for a study session!

Sadly, the staff were rude and ignorant. They seemed far more interested on what was going on outside, and actually left the shop to go and see. Shame really as the place was dirty with used cups left on tables. Better places to grab a coffee.

Very easy going, staff v friendly and don't rush you ordering, some of best coffee in Leeds (hot chocolate is actually their specialty and looks amazing )

We had awesome drinks here: I had Classic Dark and my husband had Even Darker with cream and marshmallows. It was so tasty! And was actually hot, which is important, because in so many outlets where I ask for hot choc, I get tepid choc! There are lots of different flavours and topping available, plus milkshakes, tea, coffee and cakes. We will be returning soon.

Had a two hour changeover in Leeds and found Cup + Lid. The service was really friendly and the choice of hot chocolates and other drinks was impressive. I’ve just come back from a trip to Europe and the hot chocolate I had here beats the ones I had there. Really nice, relaxing atmosphere. Would totally come back to Leeds just for this place.

Just had one of the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had and believe me, I’ve tasted a few. Went for the ginger (wanted pumpkin spice but sold out) and whilst I did really enjoy the hot chocolate, I couldn’t really taste ginger and for that I couldn’t give full marks. It’s a little expensive but as a treat now and then it is well worth it.
