Nice place, most staff friendly, and helpful! Would rate higher had it not being for the incessant bother from tiny flys! Have reported this many times here, the fly zapper is small and clearly inadequate for purpose, owners of the franchise won't allow a better zapper, such a shame! There an absolute niusesnce and a health hazard! Time this was addressed properly and a better professional fly zapper installed that can attract and kill the flys! It's being the same since it opened a few years ago!

As the shop closes early around 5 to 6pm its no use fir the night life around the main street in garforth, Does serve sandwiches but can run out not much into the afternoon on occasion, toast is available daily if there delivery has arrived and hasn't gone by 1pm? Buns are on display but alas not covered to keep the flies away from them! This has been mension on numerous occasions but nothing happens! Mist Costa shops have cabinets with sliding doors on the rear to stop any infestations from flies? This alas has no back but does have the cakes covered by a round glass lid! Over cakes and slices do not! There is only one fly zapper and faces up ward and does little to catch flies as the light is hidden inside! This place needs better fly deterents with electrecutor type defences? I have complained many times about the flies in the shop and get flies flying and landing on you and the products purchased but the manageress has said the company won't allow them to get more open fly catchers to zap flies and has to continue to use one that is useless so uts down to the owners of the shop and not the staff, there hands are tied? But not a good advertisement fir the shop for sure! Or the health and safty of the clientell, This week the shop is having a refit so hopefully it will improve if not we simply won't frequent the shop any more? Such a shame as mist tine you get goid coffee from some staff who can make it well, other staff can't make a good coffee? It looks like dishwasher water! And one young man can be quite rude when asked for blue light discount from someone he's seen as a regular and didn't on one day couldnt find her card at the time refused the discount but when she showed him the card still charged her the full price! I find him offensive! Staff should be trained fully on both counts as to giving the customers what they want and making coffee far better than dishwasher water! The refit when ahead on Monday 26th June 2023 and shop will be closed all week that week! Shame they didn't state that the week before when we popped in for coffee? We found out by calling in on Monday 26th only to find the seating etc all outside on the pavement and then told shop closed all week for refit!

For a chain as big as Costa can't understand why the place so unclean. Floors not done for weeks really dirty Nd can't blame the weather as its under the tables and everywhere On a + side teas coffee and buns nice as in all Costas

Absolutely disgusting store! Dirty spoons along with lip-stained cups. Dirty tables and piles of rubbish on the floor. Then after sitting at the table I receive a nice glimpse of the ugly dirty BOH areas. What a disappointment for the brand!

Today I went to Costa with my girlfriend. We had a hazelnut and caramel latte and salted caramel brownie and my girlfriend’s coffee bean didn’t go on at first. But before we left a member of staff called Richard solved the issue and gave my girlfriend 2 coffee beans on the app which is absolutely amazing customer service😀😀 We will be coming back again 😀😀

Whoever is managing their facebook page has damaged the branch, damaged the UK brand and damaged the international good name of a well established company. I’ve no need to buy a coffee I don’t make for myself. I’ve no desire to pass that chore to Costa. I used to buy sweets from Woolworth. I cope very well without them.

Always a nice coffee and their hot chocolate is very good. Also nice to be able to ask for Lactose free milk. Shame the food isn't as varied and I was unable to find anything other than a brownie with 515kcal that was gluten free.

Costa does what it says on the tin " sells coffee", so to stand out it needs to be a bit different. Costa in Garforth does just that , it has a friendly almost family feel when you go in . I spent an hour in here today drinking my americano and working on my tablet , great service and atmosphere.

The shop is lovely and clean and tidy and a good place to meet. The staff are friendly so a nice atmosphere. However, there are no vegetarian OR vegan sandwiches etc to choose from which means those of us on a meat free diet have nothing to eat. I know it's a franchise but it's not catering for everyone and it's putting a number of us off.

I normally like to support independent shops and restaurants rather than the big national chains. However, this Costa has all the attributes of a family run coffee shop. A warm welcome whenever you walk in the door from 7.30am until the last minute of the day. The team that work here are all fab. There’s a real community spirit here with lots of regulars nodding to each other and passing the time of day. This Costa is a real asset to Main Street.

Garforth is a little bit of a surprise. At first glance, the map suggests it is merely a suburb of Leeds. On closer examination, it is a rather pleasant village on the edge of the countryside. The main street has a range of shops, bars and cafes/restaurants. One recent addition is Costa Coffee. Critics may say that one should avoid visiting national multiple outlets in favour of supporting local traders and I have sympathy with this view. At the same time, one has to recognise that Costa is one of our more successful national businesses (yes, it is a UK company, albeit now part of the Whitbread group) and, let's face it, they do have very good coffee! And it is a hallmark of the status of Garforth that they have recently opened a branch here. This outlet is surprisingly large for a relatively small settlement, and it offers a spacious area of outdoor seating (west facing, so nicely sunny on a fine day). The coffee was up to its usual high standard, and service was efficient, speedy and courteous. As a recently opened branch, this Costa has the benefit of numerous wall power sockets to replenish the inevitably depleted batteries of mobiles, tablets and laptops, including the added bonus of USB charging points. The toilets are clean and well appointed. In summary, this Costa is well up to the usual standard and is recommended!

I took a walk to the bakery to see if they supplied fresh bread. I checked the opening hours and when I arrived it was closed. Wasted journey. Looks a nice place from the outside though.

We’ve just been to the art gallery café for lunch we won’t be going back. They sell scones but they’ve run out of jam What kind of business can’t even organise going to the shop and getting a pot of jam. Leeds city council should be ashamed of themselves.

Went for the first time for my son's birthday to give him a treat. The atmosphere was the first ick, sadly. Using outdated fabrics and an odd table and booth layout. And during a time they should have been busy, we were one of only a few. For much of our time, we were alone. Their cold stone for the ice cream was severely broken, and it looked like it was filthy, or sludge, coming out from under it. Only positive for the atmosphere is the display of all the sweets. They did look really good. Tables had empty dishes on them while the girls in the back didn't look very busy. The one was polite and apologetic, and didn't seem to know much about what was available or not. The other was quiet. For food....sub-par. Taste was alright, brownies for the fondue were really good aside from being a bit old/dry on the edges. They were out of half of the things we asked for. Many of the drinks, including OJ, were missing. We had to go to their cooler ourselves to see what they had, which wasn't much. Same when ordering, I ended up not getting anything for myself and had to modify my son's chocolate fondue order because they didn't have enough cookies for the order. This place has potential. If they modernized it, make it more sleek and professional to match the style of the menu, deep cleaned, updated their equipment, and actually trained their staff, and had better product management....this place could be a hot spot easily.
