The restaurant is currently closed and doesn’t look like it will be opening anytime soon

I feel like this should be a zero star rating never mind a 1 star. We called in last weekend for an evening meal and really should have known what to expect given the fact there wasn't a single person in especially been Saturday night. After a 45 minute wait what resembled food came out pretending ro be our starters. After 1 mouth full of the oil based prawn toast we knew it wasn't going to good and how right we were. Cold chicken satay the mistake goes on. And here's a tip. If you visit the toilets don't make the same mistake i did and glance in to the kitchen. How this place hasn't been closed down I have no clue. Maybe the food hygene and safety standards don't make it across to mull 🤷‍♂️. Needless to say we didn't stay and didn't finish the meal and certainly won't be returning

Would give this place a miss. There was only one other table with two people at it when we sat down. Waited 40 minutes on starters, not even half way through starters and main courses came out. Food not good at all, chips were like rubber, chicken balls were brick hard and burnt, rice was cold and sweet and sour sauce tasted like vinegar and was very runny. Curry sauce was thick, cold and congealed, curry sauce you would expect to get from a chip shop, not a Chinese restuarant. Total waste of £33!

All the food is frozen, even the seafood, and it is right next to the fisherman’s pier. The restaurant os grubby, and the decor is tired. Service is slow. You can always get a table even when the town is rammed.

Decided on a Chinese as too tired after a long day to cook for ourselves. Very average and over priced. Chips were not fresh and sweet & sour veg, although it came with a lot of sauce, was very boring and unadventurous! We ordered a takeaway, but sat inside to wait. Had all the atmosphere of a damp cave. Wouldn't use again.

This was so fresh and delicious, the sweetcorn soup was one of the nicest I've ever had. I wish I lived closer so I could go again and again!

Had a decent selection of thai and Chinese dishes. I went for the paneang curry and my partner had a chilli basil stir fry. The food was spot on and the service was very friendly.

It was OK service was slow and we were the only ones in the restaurant, and not told till end of meal that it was cash as card machine not working

Only visited once for take away. The restaurant is large very clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. Fairly typical menu for Chinese. The food we had, mixed seafood, ribs, sweet and sour, egg fried rice..was all very good and generous portions. Pricing is reasonable.

Poor quality to the point I put in the bin.a total waste of £25 chips half cooked & cold the chicken curry was congealed the spare ribs tasted bitter and a portion was only 4 ribs. I complained to owner but she wasn’t interested I said I had put food in the bin she said or your stomach she was rude.i live in the town and I will not be in the restaurant again.

Good food and service with good company and reasonable prices

Probably the worst meal we have ever had. If you like your food over cooked, cold, over seasoned and just poorly presented then this is the place for you! The chances are you won't have checked beforehand like we did.

Salt and pepper chips came burnt and stale, clearly cooked the night before. This cost £4 Also ordered stirfried brocoli and garlic, instead came brocoli in oyster sauce. Phoned up again to try and get what we ordered, abrupt service and problem resolved. Paid £20 for two people which is the most I have ever paid for a Chinese and it was the worst Chinese I have ever eaten at! If you are on Mull then eat at any other establishment on the island because I can guarantee that this is the worst.

Really enjoyed the food, all cooked fresh and good value, Peking soup, house curry and s+s chicken balls all very nice, nice lady serving, would definitely return.

A great restuarant with what I can only describe as one of the best views in the world. Amazing service with a great attention to detail of taste and texture

Great location, friendly waiting on staff. I don't have anything else positive to say. We left food as did the only other couple in the restaurant. Such a waste.

We turned up without a booking and were met by a friendly, efficient lady. Four fussy adults ordered five different dishes, we cleared the plates and really enjoyed our meal. Our experience was very good.

Asked for chicken chow mein and salt and pepper chicken, £19 down the drain!.

Expensive given what it was.The takeaway forget to pack my egg fried rice which I had paid for. And the duck in pineapple sauce had been precooked and merely warmed up ; resulting in very tough to eat meat and a glutinous sauce .Horrible

Not good at all, but I suppose with no competition they don't really have to try very hard. It's a shame really.

If it were possible, I would leave zero stars. I ordered lemon chicken, but instead received a chicken-jelly combo dish. I’m not sure if this was intended by the chef, but it it was he/she should consider another career. I’m currently sitting here contemplating whether or not this has given me food poisoning. Would not recommend.

There isn't terribly much to say unfortunately. Prices don't correlate with the size, or quality of food. It is ok if one just wants something to eat. But it certainly isn't the highlight of what is available in the area.

Lovely food and excellent service. Prices were reasonable. It was cold in the restaurant but they provided portable heater.

The worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had! Rice was nice and chicken balls hot and tasty, but the rest was virtually inedible. Mixed meat stir fry was frugal to say the least and beef was like shoe leather and we couldn’t eat it. A few small bites of chicken. Virtually no vegetables and a watery sauce. Mostly onions and tepid mushrooms. Sweet and sour sauce thin and meagre. Portions small. Also got home to find I’d not been given enough change. Waitress very nice but had too many things to do at one with a restaurant customer to serve and two takeaway orders to deal with. Ate a little, threw most away and dined on snacks from the fridge instead.

Restuarant cold. Cans of soft drinks out of date - two cans 4 months and one 8 months. Only table in. Waited 30 minutes for starters - appeared more interested in carry out food. Sweet chilli sauce tasted funny but after reaction by managerial staff to cans didn’t comment. Small portions of Salt and Chilli chicken. Only had two courses but took 1.5 hours in total. Waitress obviously embarrassed by treatment by managerial staff to us and couldn’t have been nicer. Only bonus to our experience. Certainly wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t eat there again.

The food was really tasty and good service. Staff friendly and cheery. Nothing was any problem to the lady. 😊

Ordered a family meal , drove 25 mins each way to collect. Ordered ribs , got squid. Chilli and basil fried rice was boiled rice and tinned green beans Complained over phone, was told ‘you don’t know anything about food’ and they hung up twice. They said ‘give me my food back and you can have your money back’

Visited here twice with my daughter, food was tasty and we'll presented and a good portion. Lady was super friendly too we would definitely eat here again.

My partner and myself visited here recently- we will definitely be back. Pros: Affordable, Friendly Service, Tasty Food, Good Portion Sizes. The staff member we spoke to was incredibly welcoming and we enjoyed chatting with her a lot.

What a disappointment, again. Terrible frozen pancake rolls don’t go here, if they can’t reheat food no chance of cooking fresh food. Preying on tourism, overpriced poor quality, you are better going to the CO-OP for a sandwich.

Correct Chinese restaurant. Nice people to welcome you. The food was good, but not exceptional : we had a pleasant evening, but had already eaten better during our holidays.

I dropped in around 9pm and was the only guest there except for a couple ordering a carry out. Excellent meal with a very refreshing beer. Quick service and pleasant staff. Good value for money

Worst curry ever tasted in my life

We visited this restaurant with friends and were delighted with our meal. The service was good and the waitress delightful. Two of us ordered from the Thai section and were pleasantly surprised with the tasty food. Would have no hesitations in recommending this restaurant in Tobermory.

Had a takeaway meal. A much smaller choice than we are used to at a Chinese restaurant but made us choose something different. Lemon chicken was lovely as we're the salt and chilli chips. The Chinese chilli chicken was nice but VERY watery sauce(not sure if meant to be!) but overall was a nice meal. Not best I've ever had but not bad either.

Went here for a meal on our last night in Mull. I had Kung Po king prawn with cashews and fried rice and hubby had chicken curry and fried rice. Mine was quite spicy but manageable and had a total of 6 king prawns. Hubby’s had one bit of red pepper, green pepper and yellow pepper - that’s a first and he thought very odd. Food was ok. Table was too small for all the dishes. Surroundings pleasant enough.

This restaurant may not look nice from outside but it’s nicely decorated inside. We order takeaway and the food was great and authentic (it helps that the chef is Thai).

Our last night and decided to have a Chinese meal that evening . Nice staff, good food and pleasant surroundins.

A little cafe on the Main Street in Tobermory, this restaurant has very friendly and helpful staff. The food (we ordered chicken/cashew and friend rice) was surprisingly good with a very tasty sauce. The menu is, in fact, quite extensive, including Thai food as well. Reasonably price, we definitely enjoyed our meal!

Lovely meal any Crystal Palace, friendly and fast service. Freshly cooked and good sized portions. If you like spicy food, this is the place to go.

Ok Chinese nice and tasty, which we bought for the kids.came in plastic container so was probably microwaved up.

I visited the Crystal Palace several times while working on the Isle of Mull at the start of 2018.

We recently stayed in Tobermory for a week in April and most times we walked past this restaurant in was empty or had very few people dining. I ordered a takeaway...I requested Fried Rice and Curry Sauce in the same tray (usually around £3.50 elsewhere) and was charged £6.45. When i saw how much they were charging they said they charge the same if it is together or separate and which point I asked for it separate.The food was average , nothing to write home about. Be careful as most extras are expensive

We visited the restaurant, the girl serving was very pleasant and we had a wonderful meal, myself and my wife had the Thai menu whilst our friend went Chinese. The Thai food was superb, certainly the best we’ve tasted in scotland, fresh ingredients and a nice chile warmth. The Chinese food was also very good, service was quick and attentive, will certainly revisit if we’re lucky enough to get back to Tobermory

Food was poor and overpriced. Would not recommend visiting. There are better options in Tobermory although this is the only Chinese.

We ordered our food, and while doing so we were asked for the numbers next to the items (which was weird) nevertheless we ordered our food and it came before the people who had been the when we arrived before us. We were missing two appetiser items, we did not complain as we were conscious that other people still had no food. One of our parties food was the portioned the size of a starter and was soggy.

Experienced poor service with staff unable to cope with 12 customers before 2 separate couples walked out. Should have realised that having to ask for a menu after being seated for 10 minutes that things were not quite right. Our meal came out after 25 minutes but others were not quite as lucky. Portions could have been bigger for the price paid. Unfortunately, will not be hurrying back.

A wonderful chilled out meal. The waitress kept my 11month old baby entertained whilst we ate a 2 course meal. They were truly amazing! We had a delicious meal, the beef & broccoli dish was particularly good. Thank you!

Après avoir fait des allers retours multiples sur le port de tobermory pour trouver un restaurant qui convienne à notre fille (23 mois), où il y a de la place (très difficile ) , nous avons finalement opté par hasard pour cet établissement , je n'avais pas vraiment envie de manger asiatique , mon mari était content , bref , agréable surprise à l'arrivée des plats, très bon , copieux , notre fille à adoré la soupeTrès bon moment

ate here twice on my stay in Mull, not impressed by the dumplings but everything else was good with the scallops either on there own or in a seafood dish being very good. had I known earlier that the owner is thai I would have trusted the thai menu and tried that as I love thai food.

Enjoyed very good food and service from a happy smiley waitress. The quality was as good as any we have experienced in any Chinese restaurant. The only reason for lack of a 5 review is that they did not have milk for a coffee.

After checking out the menu at the local pub we decided to opt for the nearby Chinese and we're glad we did. Hubby and I shared the platter for two as a starter, which was lovely then he ate off the ordinary menu whilst I chose a curry from the Thai menu, I love Thai food so was pleased to see this menu, and both meals were delicious. The Scottish waitress was friendly and helpful too. Would recommend

Visited this place yesterday for the first time and were so impressed. The food was wonderful, ample portions and delicious. It was so good we went again tonight. Highly recommended.

Food was ok, we ordered from the Tia menu and advised it would be a 20 to 30min wait however 50mins later we were still waiting & when the food eventually came it was wrong however to avoid further waiting time we made do, beware the complementary prawn crackers as these are soft,stale with no crack :(

Had a takeaway from here on our first night on Mull. Can't understand negative reviews on here as 8 of us all had different things and the food was great. The lady who served us was very friendly, even accommodated some of our unusual dietary requests! Would recommend getting a takeaway from here if you get the late ferry over to save the hassle of unpacking and cooking on your first night. They do Chinese and Thai food and both were really good, very good Pad Krapao! Give it a go and don't listen to the negatives below!

Unbelievably bad experience. We ordered and patiently waited and waited and waited even though we were the only people in the restaurant. When our main courses arrived, part of the order was incorrect--even though we had ordered each dish by number (so it seemed strange that so much was wrong). We told the (very nice) waiter. He had not been the one to take our order so he went to try to fix things. Very shortly thereafter, the lady who took our order came to our table and YELLED at us, "reminding" us what we had ordered (except, hello...we hadn't). We travel quite a bit and have never had someone act like this toward us. Plus, the food is only average. I don't plan to return and risk such behavior just to eat food of that (again, average) quality. No wonder the place was empty.

Used this place a few times last year for take away food and really enjoyed it so had no hesitation to use it again but we were very disappointed. We asked for curry sauce but were given sweet and sour instead, asked for a bottle of soy sauce and there was none in the bag but we had been charged for it and the fried rice was tasteless, will not be going back.

Staff are very friendly and welcoming from the minute you walkIn the door. Really lovely food,lots of choice and great value for money.

I had an overnight stay and needed an evening meal. Having looked at the available restaurants (there are plenty including a mobile fish and chip venue that was very busy) the Crystal Palace seemed to suit.The service is good, friendly and quite quick.The menu is extensive with a good range of selections at reasonable prices. My meal was tasty and filling.
