I went here after a friend booked a VIP table for one of their Saturdays and it was amazing. Table service was fantastic, staff were so lovely, and the place was generally nice and clean. Would definitely come here for a night out again

Came on a night out with friends and had a very good night. The staff are very friendly and management where happy to help with questions I had regarding upgrading a VIP package. Had some lovely cocktails and the was a really good vibe in the building. Would 100% recommend coming if you're in the city! :)

Really nice bouncers who actually care about you 💓💓💓💓 friend was upset and they checked on her, made sure it wasn’t something that happened in the club, genuinely really cared about customers x

Vinimos aquí para una fiesta de cumpleaños en diciembre. El personal del bar absolutamente fantástico, la única preocupación era que era un poco genial y algunos problemas adicionales. Aproximadamente cada hora, más o menos, alguien venía con un teléfono móvil y hacía controles, le pregunté qué era y él respondió "Es un Sistema de Prevención de incidentes" ¡Me sentí tan seguro después de esto! La compañía de alimentos que utilizan fue excelente, buen gusto, excelente comida, si acaso, ¡había demasiado! ! ! Hubo una pelea con uno de nuestros amigos y un cliente al azar más tarde en la noche. Nuestro amigo fue visto perfectamente. Cuando el joven se acercó para hacer su inspección, nos vio y se acercó para comprobar si estábamos bien. Luego nos consiguió una persona con primeros auxilios médicamente capacitados y un gorila. (No puedo agradecerle lo suficiente) Gran sentido de atención por los clientes, luego le agradecimos. Después de que todo esto se resolvió, nos fuimos pero agradecimos a todos los que ayudaron. En general 10/10 Definitivamente volveremos! !

Went out with a couple friends and hired a booth, overall great night out, and much cheaper than other bars in sheffield.

Banging night out and just the bartenders alone will keep me coming back. 10/10 would New Years again

I recently visited Crystal for my sister in law's 50th birthday. All the staff were very accomodating and helpful, as well as easy on the eye. Special shoutout to the management to who stopped at nothing to help when my nephew hurt his elbow. 5 stars would definitely come back!

Bar staff knew what they were doing and were quite good. However, I was in the middle of the bar and I was waiting for half an hour for a drink. considering it wasn’t as busy as it usually is. It really is a joke. Some staff were rude and the place on a Friday is just full people thinking they’re better than everyone else, promo and doorstaff were really the best part about the place.

I had the most amazing 24th birthday at Crystal last weekend! All staff we so kind and very attentive. I really enjoyed having one of the booths in the main room, will definitely be back again!

Booked a function in a lovely room on a Saturday night, all very nicely decorated! All staff were nice and accommodating with pretty much everything! Unfortunately they didn’t have as much furniture as we’d like but that was the only slight negative :) Would massively recommend this to anyone wanting a great night out with house music! Was nice and busy too!

Great place for a function of any size! I came here for my 46th birthday party last weekend and have been meaning to write a review as the help and support I received when booking was second to none. I originally made contact through their website and a few moments later a lady called Josephine called me to discuss the party. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with her as nothing was too much trouble, and wasn't pushy in any way! We came in during the day to set up and decorate, one of the staff that was working there offered to help carry the decorations up to the function room (House of Gin) for us - there was quite a lot! I also chose one of the hot and cold buffet options as it was far less stressful than making all the food myself! Through Josephine I also got a DJ, there was a cost to the food and the DJ but it was very reasonable! The staff on the night were extremly smart and polite and nothing was too much trouble for them even got one of them to make a rose out of a napkin when I was chatting to them! Overall a great venue to choose from, I've already booked again for next year! The only downside was that they didn't serve draught beer in the function room, the staff did accommodate though as they did go to the main room to get the pints. Granted there wasn't much served but if you are holding an event that requires draught in volume, speak to Josephine first to arrange something! See you next year!

My father and I wanted a venue that we could use to celebrate our 15th Year of trading. We needed a space that could accommodate up to 150 guests and had a private bar that we could use on a Saturday night. Needless to say, it was struggle until we found Crystal! After meeting Josephine we spoke through our requirements and found that the House Of Gin room was perfect for us! We could use it on a Saturday and were given wristbands for our function. We had our own dedicated door staff to make sure that only people we invited could attend and the night went without a hitch! The staff were extremely pleasant and lovely, they had great knowledge of the products sold. After speaking to Josephine we were able to pre-pay for drinks the week before. When we arrived they were on ice and it made the night work so much smoother so everyone didn’t have to queue at the bar. We didn’t have a DJ but could use our phone to play music through the speakers – we also requested a microphone for when my father said a few words to the staff. All in all, a really good place to have a function on a Saturday night. We found this was one of the few places that could accommodate us on such a busy night in the city! A big thank you to Josephine and all the team at Crsytal! Only bit of advice we’d give would be book as soon as you know a date, we had to swap our dates because the gin room was being used on the day we originally wanted!

Horrible disgusting bouncers. 50% of them need sacking! Was not allowed to go into the club because I was on a crutch and was told “this isn’t a day care” . Absolutely appalling behaviour!!!!!! Genuinely disgusting. NEVER GO HERE

El personal era distante y los cócteles eran absolutamente abismal. Parece más un lugar para ser visto, en vez de ofrecer un producto de calidad. Una oportunidad perdida en mi opinión

Fui a una despedida de soltera/un sábado y no era el lugar esperando como basado en las críticas anteriores, pero posibles me preguntaba si nuestros críticos había estado en el mismo lugar.

10 de damas se reunió con nosotros en cubanas para mi madre soltera. Tuvimos una comida y luego a la izquierda y tenía una copa en walkabout.

El personal de la puerta es simplemente espantoso. Los comentarios groseros, agresivos, hechas por ellos. inapropiado El bar es caro y música aburrida. No puedo creer que pagué para ir a este lugar, lleno de engreída millonarios de fin de semana. El personal del bar nunca sonríen y nunca jamás volveré, puramente personal a la puerta! Este podría ser un lugar encantador, tiene para sentarse fuera y si el tiempo es bueno, que es una buena ventaja. Sin embargo, encontré que el servicio general de detrás de la barra un poco lento y dentro es ciertamente de una buena limpieza. El suelo estaba pegajoso, las alfombras sucias y la mayoría de los vasos estaban rotos o necesitaba ser lavada. A group of 9 of us came here for my friends birthday. We don't usually enjoy Carver street/West Street because it isn't our music but we went on the off chance as it was our birthday girls choice. We got a wristband before we entered which meant we payed £4/£5 for entry. The bouncers were ok - not as friendly as other places and also seemed to prefer the ladies than our guy friends. When we got in it wasn't too full so we were served at the bar straight away. The price was good for Carver Street but the bar staff were embarrassing. As the place got busier the more the bar staff ignored you. We were in the queue at the bar for half an hour before our friend had eventually got attention (she had joined the queue that very minute). If you aren't in a big group of pristine and clean looking men or don't have your chebs out you will not get served. The staff were nasty to a girl next to me when she asked when she'd get served.Not to mention their uniform! It is so outdated and so is the women's. They make the men wear tight shirts and trousers and the women in heels and a low cut dress. Hello 2000's. The clientele is so so so wrong everybody is blunt and nasty along with the cheap music. I'm embarrassed of Carver Street and would never step foot in there again. It's full of posers and 20 year old boys wearing their 12 year old sisters jeans spending their pocket money from mummy and daddy for visting their Great Nanny Elsie on bottles Grey Goose vodka. Seriously get your own style, stop being so basic and visit somewhere real like Bloo 88.

Simply wouldn't let a small group of middle aged people in with no reason apart from a last minute "you are too drunk" when I hadn't even been drinking. Totally undeserving of a prime spot in a friendly city I have lived in the whole of my life. Avoid this place if you want to enjoy your night,

We paid over £100 for a VIP table and after one cigarette break our table had been taken by other people who we didn't even know.We had to ask a bouncer to move them. But still people kept coming and sitting at our table who we didn't know and we didn't invite them to.Still had to pay entry as well which is ridiculous. Only good thing was the extra space in VIP so you don't get trampled in the main room.

It is a nice bar, new to the Hallam guys and is fantastic, cheap drinks and a good lot of music and good atmosphere

We booked the vip area for a surprise for our friends 40th birthday. It cost us £500 - what rip off!! . We did not feel like vips at all. The area was separated from the main room and we felt we were out of the action really. It was freezing in there and they did nothing when we asked. We had only been in half hour and there was a massive fight, bottles and glass flying all over the place. They never cleared it up all night and neither did they clear the stinky sick toilets too. The last straw was when they evicted our friend for being too drunk, on his birthday. What a dump, dirty cold and a waste of money.

been here twice, the first time we went was really good, however we then went again when it was #Hallamnation...big mistake! music was so cheesy and you literally couldnt move or get to the bar, we stayed for an hour and then decided to leave...

I've been a few times on a Wednesday for Hallam nation and its usually a fairly fun night. Drinks are quite cheap and there is a fairly good range. When I've been at the weekend it's normally not as good.

I booked a VIP booth for my Sisters Hen night, a few weeks prior to the night I spoke to Jess at Crystal to pay for balloons that I wanted to put on the table and she told me that Crystal was closed for refurb but we had been upgraded to House of Hugo, I thought great. Myself and 15 other ladies arrived excited to find the entire building completely closed. We were banging on the doors calling them and nothing!!They were completely closed.They ruined my sisters hen night. They are the most unprofessional company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with and now they tell me that there accounts lady is off so cant give me my money back. Absolute morons.DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Prior to booking @ Crystal night club I and the bride-to-be when to look around and the manager spoke to both of us in person. She told us of her VIP table package and made both believe we would get a choice of house spirit with a bottle of house vodka, bottle of Lanson champagne and all the mixes we wanted, for a stated price. In organising the booking after at least 2 phone calls neither I nor the bride-to-be were told different when confirming what the VIP table package and what was included. However I could not find the table prices on their website and had no reason not trust her word. When we arrived on the night I was told that I had paid for the bronze package which instead of a choice of any spirit it only included a choice of 3 spirits which were all strong shot drinks. When looking at the drinks package menu she had told both of us the sliver package when speaking to us in person and over the phone. Most of the Hens didn't like or want any of 3 choices it was hardly drunk the manager would not swap with another as the bottle had been open by one member of the group. Which on reflection, the bottle should not have opened as the manager might have swapped it for something else. (Too late) Although there should not of been any confusion on packages especially after speaking to her in person and twice over the phone. She also implied it was going to be very busy due to a closing down party and there were only two tables left when booking. But on the night it was nowhere near busy and lots of empty tables. It felt like she would have done anything to get bums on seats. Overall it was ok and most of the group enjoyed themselves regardless.

We got there really early so sat waiting for the bar to open, but had a good chat before the storm! Drinks are quite expensive and the music is OK, just not how good it used to be. DJ was lovely lad, clearly bursting to play dance floor fillers - eg bit of funky house, but wasn't allowed. He recommended private functions for parties where DJ can play exactly what you want. Just seemed an odd policy when the floor is empty!Outside area good do with a clean, door staff were friendly

Awful,loud music blaring out all Sunday - no one there to listen and yet all around had to close our windows!!! Terrible public relations - and even worse 'music' !!!

Went to Crystal for the first time on Saturday and have to say the place was great. It was clearly the place to be as it was very busy. I went with a group of friends so called them on friday to reserve a VIP Table as advertised on their website, which was easy to do, just asked for a table, paid them £120 to get entry a table (which had a lovely waitress called Olivia) and a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka which came with unlimited mixers. The table was great, just off the dancefloor area but non table bookers couldn't get to you so was fairly private. Table also had a martini glass of fruit and a plate of chocolates which I thought was a nice touch. Didn't have to go to the bar once as the staff in their always got our drinks for us.... I'll definitely book this again when I'm in Sheffield!

I went to this bar on Saturday night with three friends. It cost us £5 each to get in. We thought this was perhaps to prevent the place getting overcrowded, and leave space for people to dance. This was obviously not the case. The whole place was heaving, and it took ages to get served at the bar. The bar staff were rushing around and trying to serve people as quickly as possible, so I would not be critical of them.Okay it was late Saturday evening, so we expected it to be really busy, but there were so many people in there we kept being spashed by other people's drinks as they walked around, as there was no-space to stand comfortably or sit down with a drink. There was also loads of broken glass on the floor which you could not help walking in. I would not expect a bar that advertises as being sophisticated and classy to have broken glass all over the floor.We have been in Crystal on previous occasions and had a really good time - however we have never had to pay £5 to get in before. What did we get for our fiver? Nothing!!We had been in other pubs throughout the evening where there were live bands playing, and the entry was free. We will be returning to these pubs, but definately not to Crystal on a Saturday night.I havnt been in Crystal during the day, or eaten there, but the venue is beautiful, and I'm sure it must be lovely to go in and have the full benefit of the surroundings and ambience.

We went in here on Saturday night and the drinks were so very expensive, £4.50 for a bottle of cider and £1.50 for a flat tastless coke. The amount of mark-up on the coke was hideous. Who says its cheaper not to drink? Not in Crystal bar it isn't.
