Crown in Camden

This is truly one of the worst pubs I have ever visited. I have never reviewed a pub before today. In the early evening you don’t have to blast awful music at full volume. It was practically empty too. This will damage the hearing of the staff before long.

My kinda pub atmosphere to share

We use this pub when around Seven Dials. Nice place for a stop and a drink. Always a nice crowd at lunchtime.

Amazing experience, at the crown, a bit crowed although everything else was flawless, Sam was knowledgeable and friendly will definitely be back.

What an experience. We went on an incredibly busy and loud evening. However, we had booked a table so it was waiting for us. Ordered via app so cut waiting time. Food was very tasty and timely service. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Recommend

Obviously a great location, beer was good, service was ‘spot on’ a lovely barmaid called Sam looked after us and made us feel welcome, most impressively she showed a great work ethic, serving multiple customers at one time, while recognising those that were waiting. Even more important when there was no customers to be served she kept herself busy, cleaning, collecting glasses etc.. a breath of fresh air.. well done

We dropped in for drinks and this place is a West End gem. Traditional old pub but with modern cask and keg offerings. Really friendly staff as well, which makes a hugely positive differ. Will return for sure.

Sam was the most efficient barmaid i have seen in years. Credit to her work ethics.

Late night drink after show. Bar staff had no idea how to open a bottle of wine or seen a waiters friend. That said very friendly & good selection

On our visit it was very quiet. The food was great and served quickly.friendly staff.

Very bad experience ordering my sticky toffee pudding today. It supposed come with honeycomb ice cream not vanilla as it does show honeycomb ice cream on the menu with the sticky toffee pudding. I won't be coming back to the pub again. You should of told me before hand or otherwise I won't be complaining otherwise. The food was very tiny potion is not worth the money I paid for the dessert. The dessert was excellent 👌.

I’m just a normal man … an innocent man … I popped in as was waiting for my lass and 4 year old watching the matinee of the nearby Matilda musical… it was a lovely day and thought I’d get a quick bevvy…. Saw the neck oil and thought ‘that won’t be cheap’ so went for a Hells . … I was aghast when he said £7.80 … seven pound eighty!!!! They need to put a sign outside saying about the prices just to save innocent men

It's ridiculous that asking IDs to everyone even if you're 40 years old. Also, they don't accept PDFs.

Andas who was so helpful with dealing with queries when booking - extremely prompt replies and even arranging wine to be kept chilled for us when we arrived. when we got to the pub Anna M looked after us. Again, she is was absolutely exceptional - ensuring we were looked after, even on a very busy afternoon. Thank you for awonderful afternoon 5*+ service

Proper boozer. This is a great place in Central London to enjoy proper pub life. Small but enjoyable.

We had a very good experience here. Not much knowledge of beer and so we asked for the bartender’s recommendation. He patiently introduced and generously to offer us the tasting. We enjoyed the relaxing moments and the beer much!

Great for and good service nice small bar for a quick drink. Right next a Theatre on a corner of seven dial. But one thing. The door open the door where the outside smoker areas is A. it was cold even thou the sun out. B.all the smoke enter the small bar. That day families where in from watching Matilda.

Relatively small pub but has a nice lively atmosphere. Friendly service. Good place to chill out. Also show football.

A nice little Greene King pub. A good selection of drinks including three cask ales. I opted for a Buffalo Trace bourbon which was very reasonably priced, for the area, at just under £8. This was due to a special offer, double up for an extra £2.50. Service was friendly, a pub I will visit again.

Robin & Ratmyr are the best bar hosts I’ve ever met, they are so lovely and entertaining, we are definitely coming back for more, love you both x

Beautiful, with its preserved structure

Arrived at 10:54….we asked if they were still serving…they said yes….my wife and I ordered a half pint each. At 11pm the security guard said they were closing and we had to leave. The staff were aware that he was doing this. I said I thought we had 10 mind drinking time from the bell. He said we didn’t and that there were special rules for the pub because it was listed! They were happy to take out money and then turfed us out after 6 minutes, I’m glad we didn’t order a pint. I font think what he said was correct and the staff should not let security behave this way simply because they want to go home a little earlier. Very unprofessional. If you don’t like working late…get a different job. I suspect this is common practice. Most unfriendly. We won’t be returning.

£7.55 a pint. Oooooooooof. Still, decent enough boozer bang on Seven Dials and it felt proper lovely and buzzy around Christmas. I'm sure we'll be back.

No nos han querido atender por llevar un tupper con manzana troceada para nuestro hijo de dos años, que ni siquiera ha llegado a comer dentro del bar porque según lo ha visto lo ha rechazado. Si lo que no quieren son niños, un "only adults" en la puerta sería más educado. NO era horario adulto, 19:30, estábamos haciendo tiempo para ir a cenar.

we went in and ordered two pints, in less than 5 minutes they rang the bell to say they were closing. It’s bad that they serve you and don’t tell you in advance that they’re going to close, because there is no time to finish the drink

A decent place for a Thursday night.

Was in your venue this evening and over heard security arguing with 2 young ladies over the fact they had brought a board game with them. We loved our first visit to this venue but from what we witnessed this evening we will not be returning from the actions of one individual!

I was having a lovely evening with my friends until , one of them was refused entry because we had been playing a game ‘for 3 hours ‘, which was in fact a miniature Ludo and we had arrived 30 minutes before . We all had a drink , we were not being loud. However the security guard clearly wasn’t having a nice evening himself and took it out on us . Will not be returning.

Great bar in covent garden, London 🇬🇧 We wanted to try a few English beers and took the recommendations they gave us, the staff is friendly, the bears are good and the atmosphere is also great!

I got the wrong pub and feel dreadful as I have heard this pub is absolutely fantastic and can’t apologise enough.

Popped into the Crown for a drink, asked a member of staff behind the bar where the toilets were and I was met with such a foul attitude for no reason. The young girl was smiling away to herself before I asked and instantly dropped her tone, was so disrespectful and was so unprompted? Also the drinks were awful, my boyfriends beer tasted off to him and I just had a Pepsi and it tasted watery and weird

Nice local place, courteous service

I arrived at the pub extremely hot after a rushed journey on a hot day. I asked the bartender (Esmeralda) if there was a shop nearby that sold womens body spray etc. She then proceeded to get her own deodorant and perfume for me to have a quick spritz, so I felt fresh for my afternoon out. Top customer service and selflessness. Thank you, you saved the day!

Um autêntico exemplar de pub londrino. Ótima carta de cervejas e boas opções de alimentação (apesar de não termos experimentado as comidas). Você pode ficar dentro do bar onde há opções no balcão e também mesas, ou ainda ficar na parte externa na calçada. Tem opções para todos os gostos. Foi um ótimo achado no centro de Londres, com a cerveja bem gelada e atendimento excelente. Certamente voltaremos.

We did not stay at the hotel but used the bar. Its a very understated space but a welcome retreat from the craziness of London's Seven Dials and Covent Garden. Its brilliantly located. Cocktails and drinks were gorg and the staff were wonderful. The menu though didn't have the full range of cocktails they could make. So you end up ordering cocktails either you might not want or asking 'can you do...' with no idea of the cost. The waiting staff were a mix of discreet and engaging - perfect! But we have cocktails in London often and this was really expensive without any kind of killer draw. Based on the staff would def recommend. The birthday macaroons were much appreciated.

The bar staff actively go out of their way to avoid seeking drinks. Tasking, cleaning glasses and organising the mixures served to be the primary concern. No point making it look nice if you don't sell it. Underwhelming service considering the price of a pint. Need to raise your game.

Location, location, location. What a lovely place to watch the world go by. Super busy area and interior isn’t as ye olde as some but it’s friendly and efficient and well worth a visit

Filthy stinky toilets. Really rude staff apart from the blonde guy that was nice. For the amount of money that they must make I would expect cleaner place.

Awesome night, highly recommended! Check out the bartender, Tomas or Thomas, all I know he is European with an accent... ask for a Baby Guinness! The speed delivery was insane, I had my doubts but amazing. Dude knows the trade!

My boyfriend loves Guinness & we’ve tried it in many bars. By far his favourite & by Tomas who was lovely & very welcoming. Highly recommend :)

Use to like this pub. Now the staff are rude, all the lights turned on at 10:30 on a Friday night. Plastic glasses. Pub locked up and every one out, including the staff by 11 on the dot. Never felt less welcome in a pub in my life. Avoid

Stay 8 days in the hotel, breakfast was good try different type each morning until complete the range request match and mix item like portabella, avocado,toast and they serve you without question. Staff all smile and polite, quick to notice guest need service. The conceige staff was very helpful too, each day I will go to them check about places to go, food to try and direction. We enjoy our staff though the rate is not cheap. The room is very spacious they make the room daily. Will stay there ago if visit because has explore the area and know how to move around without transport.

Nice little pub, but Neck Oil tasted watery and barman seemed judgey when I ordered a half.
