I kept my birthday dinner at Crown and Pepper Restaurant with family, friends, and staff. It was a great experience, and everyone had an amazing time. The foods were delicious foods and I was happy that everyone enjoyed the food. I will encourage everyone to use crown and pepper venue if you would like a friendly and warm environment. The staff demonstrated a friendly approach, and the atmosphere is great. Thank you, crown and pepper, for having us there. We have already booked our staff Christmas party there. I love Crown and Pepper Restaurant Croydon.

As always staff are amazing, food is amazing never had a bad day been coming here over 15 years every fridays.

The food here was super tasty as always. There are so many vegan options, my favourites being the salt and pepper tofu, vegetable chow main and cauliflower manchurian! Harishma was really friendly and attentive with our service, and we were made to feel really welcome. Great food, great service and great atmosphere! Highly recommended!

Lively pub with good food, don't bother with the cocktails even at 2-4-1. Good vib but local gangs frequent and get a bit lively but if your from South London/ Croydon it's all a part of the charm lol

We held a 40th birthday party for my partner here a couple of days ago in the Buddha Lounge and it was everything we could have asked for. The atmosphere was great, the room layout was fantastic and everyone enjoyed their food. Thanks again to the team and everyone that helped set up and serve us on the night. I’d highly recommend hiring out the Buddha Lounge for an event!

We held my son' 40th birthday at this venue. Theres a big function room with a bar. Really nice atmosphere, staff were friendly and obliging. Almost everyone enjoyed their food. The food was great though & served quickly. Would recommend this venue to friendly/colleagues.

Marinated Meat for BBQ Didn’t actually eat in the pub this time but when I do I always enjoy. This time I ordered pre marinated Lamb Chops for a BBQ at home and was perfect. Service great, food very tasty, the chops themselves were very generous in size!

What a pleasant surprise! This pub is a bit of a hidden jewel. Looks dull and drab on the outside, but inside, it is huge and welcoming with a really lovely outdoor space. Food was amazing and great value for money. Finally, a pub with a decent selection of whiskies too! The only fault was the bar service, which was a little slow, but to be fair, the place was busy. Will definitely return.

The lamb Briyani was really good however many dishes like the panner which was heavily drenched in sweet chilli sauce plus the butter chicken was too much on the sweet side

This is myself and families favourite place for a meal, the service is efficient and the staff are incredibly helpful. The atmosphere has a good vibe especially on a Friday and Saturday night.

This is the best place for indo- Chinese food served fresh with tremendous authentic spices and flavours. The owners and staff went out of their way to make our evening a great success and the overall friendly atmosphere, food and drink was first class.

Been here with a group of friends and it’s one of my favourite place to go in the Croydon.The food was amazing and they got a wide range of options for both Indian and Chinese dishes. The chicken kebabs are highly recommended. Though it was busy, we still got a table in the lovely garden as requested and the service was really great. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a perfect spot to come down and have a 2 4 1 cocktails with good food. Highly recommended and will be back again.

This is my friends' and my favorite spot for a meal. The food is always served quickly and to a high standard. The portion sizes are generous, and I never leave without being completely satisfied. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall great experience. I will be returning very soon!

A great pub/restaurant with friendly staff, great food and ideal place to hold a party/gathering. I am a regular at Crown and food and drinks are always nice, atmosphere during live sports (especially football) is great. The function room is also very spacious and is a great place to hold a private event. Recently held my Dad’s birthday party in the function room, and everything was flawlessly organised by the staff and with excellent food. Have also used Crown for catering external events, as well as their marinated food for BBQs which is ideal for these great summer evenings. Thanks!

Been to this place over 5 years ago.. was going through Croydon. Thought we should pop in for a meal.. effortless to say the salt and pepper dishes are how I remembered them.. Will be making a monthly visit great food and vibes!!!

The staff are nice enough, I found it lacked any lustre and was unimpressive.

Only had the Chinese menu but the food was so fresh and tasty. Mocktails are great too! So good I’d go just to get the takeaway as all their tables seems booked for the evening.

Used to go here a lot when I lived in Croydon few years back. I was in the area so thought to grab some food which was a complete disappointment no flavour in any of the food. Got an Indian mixed platter all meat was dry and chewy, Jeera Chicken wings was basically bone not much chicken on it. Chilli Paneer has to be the worst I have ever had, cut into small peices and overcooked. Got a Lamb Curry, the lamb was smelly and was full of fat and oil! We ordered the Naga chicken on the bone curry which if you know what Naga chilli is this dish was bland, no spice and was more sweet than spicy. On to the staff one of them was behind the bar serving drinks to other customers so he asked one of his colleagues to take my order and as I was walking up to him another staff member said to him 'she can wait' and for him to go and give drinks to one of the tables which I found extremely rude when he was just standing there and could have done so himself. This used to be my go to restaurant for food & drinks with friends and family but I will not be going back there which is a shame!

The moment you walk into the place someone runs out from behind the bar and aggressively asks "can I help you?!". You're then faced with many questions as to who you're with and why you’re there. Answers are met with disbelief and suspicion, and you have to prove that you're with others and be followed. There's no justification for this and it’s happened here before. Usually, you can enter a pub on your own and enjoy a drink. Not here!! If I was not with a larger group, then I'd probably be sent away. It's appalling. Clearly no hospitality experience or skills whatsoever, just a focus on making money. The food was poor, serving cold mushy stir fired rice, more like mash potato. The ambience was so so - even with the Euro's on. My advice would be to avoid here totally, as I suspect profiling takes place. Also, if you do pass the aggressive door vetting process, then avoid the food. If like me, you like a welcoming environment where you can eat, drink, and socialise, then forget here. The focus is on money grabbing rather than polite, professional service. Cleary the owners have acquired a pub, come restaurant and shisha bar and have no idea about the hospitality industry.

Very good food. Beer a little pricy

Food is very tasty, and the salt and pepper prawns are to die, for you definitely need to try them if you haven't yet done so. The cocktails in here are also very lush and is everything a cocktail should be. It's not too expensive either, and most of the dishes can be shared which is always a good thing if you like to try different things.

Food always tastes great, there's always going on in the pub too from parties to karaoke. Great vibe.

Friendly staff, excellent food and a staple of mine when I visit London.

My niece had arrived from Ireland to go and see her friend who she hasn't seen for a while. They decided to go to for a meal at this establishment. She ordered crispy noodles and mixed vegatables with a side of salt and pepper nuggets. The meal was visibly burnt and, stale and unedible. She politely asked the girl server if she could replace it and was told she could but may have to pay the difference. Not even 2 minutes later the same server comes with what looked like a manager (as he did not announce himself) AND with the same plate of food which she had carried around the whole bar before presenting it back to her table. He began to justify the burnt plate of noodles, took his fingers around the rim of the plate to further make his point about how its prepared, talking over the food and cohoursing her to eat it as that's the way the dish was prepared. Despite both the girl server who brought the food and the guy behind the bar who all agreed the food was unedible. Even after she had complained it was inedible, he then encouraged her to order and buy aomething else of the menu if she didn't like it as thats how the meal.is prepared. She paid 18pounds for salt and pepper nuggets ABSOLUTE CON! Crown and pepper is a cash cow! Because where theres booze (no matter how overpriced) and stoggy overpriced food, unsophisticated people will plough in . Customer service is poor, owner unethical and clearly only cares about money and the punters that drink their taste buds away around the bar. As clearly they are the only ones that can eat burnt noodles!!! The business may do well now but with ethics and a manager like that, it's only a matter of Time before people wise up. If I could give no stars I would!

We typically order from here on deliveroo but visited for dinner a few weeks ago. Good food with reasonable prices. Dog friendly in the garden, but it was a bit odd that they didn't even let us walk to the garden from the main entrance and made us walk through the back door to get to the garden with our dog. Felt a bit awkward being denied entry at the main entrance - the dog was on a tight lead after all. But other than that, the servers were lovely (and apologied for the delay in the food coming) and we enjoyed our dinner.

Looks are very deceiving. I have lived in Croydon for over 40 years and I'm not a pun person however, The Crown and Pepper has changed my mind. The Buddah Lounge at the back hosted the best Hip Hop brunch from 1pm-5pm or 3pm'5pm, you can stay and dance the evening away - food was amazing, Chinese and Indian, super tasty and well seasined, service first class, music lively - going to London for brunch isn't going to be an option for me - would absolutely 100% recommend, will bring the girls next time. Thank you for a fab afternoon 😊

I had my daughters Bridal Shower there. The organiser was great. The menu was perfect and the food was delicious. The service was good. There was a live singer and the atmosphere was buzzing. We all had an amazing time and would definitely book other events there.

I ate until my stomach hurt. 2 for 1 deals on cocktails, really nice down to earth staff and loads of food. They have a lovely outdoor area (great shout for the summer) sports on the TV and karaoke (check when before going, if that's your thing). Limited vegan options but definitely enough for me to feel absolutely stuffed so ... Yeh defo worth a visit!

Visited the restaurant for the third time, but unfortunately, the chicken sweetcorn soup tasted different each visit. First time included veggies, second only egg and chicken. Asked for veggies, got charged extra this time. Also, noticed dirty water jugs and glasses with water marks. Disappointed with the inconsistency and unfair charges

Great place for drinks and bites!!

During my recent visit with my all lovely colleague (PARK GARAGE GROUP across the road) to Crown & Pepper at Croydon, I had the pleasure of being served by BHANU who truly enhanced my dining experience. Their professionalism, friendly demeanour, and impeccable attentiveness stood out from the moment I was seated. BHANU was knowledgeable about the menu, but they also provided excellent recommendations that perfectly suited my & all colleague's preferences. BHANU ensured that every aspect of during our stay of 6 hours as we all were drinking and had lunch . I sincerely appreciate BHANU's exceptional service and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience at Crown & Pepper. BHANU was really looking after us when we had lunch inside and later we went outside in garden for drinks and to be fair the garden was closed but BHANU arranged a seats for us out side and we been looked after by BHANU for 6 hours.

Terrible food. I complained again the oil and the chilli's they are putting too much. The food has gone from bad to terrible.

Lovely food, service was good. The waitress was very attentive. It was very noisy as extremely busy. We sat in the middle of the restaurant. Maybe, it would have been better sitting in booth around the edge.

One of my favourite pubs, I have been coming here for many years now! I often visit with a group of friends to watch the football, have a beer and most of all eat. The menu is extensive with a great range of Indian and Chinese dishes - and the chinese food is so irresistable that I have never tried the indian options. A good level of flavour and spice in all dishes, it keeps me coming back. Service is always great, and wherever you sit, you'll see a TV for the sport. Maybe not the place to bring your partner for a romantic date night, but certainly the spot if you're looking to watch the football, eat fantastic food and neck a few pints! Good atmosphere, and they have an events room for hire at the back of the pub which is a little ore upmarket than inside the pub!

Good food menu and choices. It has a decent bar offering and also has cocktails and runs offers like 2-4-1 all day on Thursday. Venue does show sports matches (mainly football) so worth checking if you are dining on match days although the atmosphere is always really good.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The only drawback is that the chicken & black bean sauce dish had way too much sauce.

I have been ordering delivery via UberEats for the last couple of months regularly. Keep noticing the portions of food is getting smaller & smaller every time. Very disappointed. Won’t be ordering anymore.

First time really nice lovely food and great atmosphere

Looks like a pub from the outside but then have plenty of dining space at the back of the restaurant. There lunch time special 2 meals for £13 is a bargain. Not the largest portions but was more than enough. Highly recommend and will be back again.

My first time at Crown and Pepper. Food and service both first class. My server Rohit was very attentive and was interested in what I was wanting to eat and gave recommendations. The great thing about Crown and Pepper is you can mix between Chinese and Indian dishes and on my experience the quality of both was top class. They run a 2 for 1 cocktails between 1600 to 1900 which I took advantage of. All in all a great experience food nicely spiced and seasoned Chill Shredded Lamb and Chicken Dumpling soup. Highly recommened

We are lucky to have the Crown and Pepper in South Croydon. It has many great assets but I just want to mention the amazing lamb chops 😄 They are juicy, massive, and amazing. Sports, Indian and Chinese Food, beers, clean, friendly, etc. They are running a really good show 🙏🏾

A fantastic establishment to conclude an evening or a day of imbibing. The prices are reasonable, the service is excellent, and the cuisine is exquisite.

We had two different noodles, a sauce to share, and two cocktails. The food was amazing and we happened to walk in on a Sunday during Karaoke, which we loved after our meal.

The worst customer service I ever see. I have ordered on Uber some noodles and nuggets for my kids. After around 80 minutes I called the pub to find out what happened with my order, why it hasn’t been collected. The lady said that my order is been collected like 15 min ago. Waiting for the driver, but not driver. Calling again the pub and they said I should contact the driver, cause the order is been picked up, but on the app still showing that they waiting for a driver. After another 20 min I see the driver by the pub and collecting the order. When I called the pub back they said the order it’s been picked up long time ago, and when I said they lying, he put the phone down, no apology, no nothing and they cancelled my order. Very poor customer service and no respect for people.

Great starters, in fact really good. My mixed vegetable curry main was disappointing, but friends who had the lamb dishes enjoyed their meat dishes.

Popped in for a nice Saturday meal and my husband and I were throughly impressed! Great customer service, delicious food, reasonably priced! We will return!

Ate here last week for a midweek evening meal. Food was delicious. We ordered starters and mains. Portion sizes were great and the food was so good! Service was excellent too from Jaimin and his team, very attentive. Would definitely go back regularly and recommend them to anyone who fancies a good meal in Croydon.
