Terrible food. I complained again the oil and the chilli's they are putting too much. The food has gone from bad to terrible.

Lovely food, service was good. The waitress was very attentive. It was very noisy as extremely busy. We sat in the middle of the restaurant. Maybe, it would have been better sitting in booth around the edge.

Good food menu and choices. It has a decent bar offering and also has cocktails and runs offers like 2-4-1 all day on Thursday. Venue does show sports matches (mainly football) so worth checking if you are dining on match days although the atmosphere is always really good.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The only drawback is that the chicken & black bean sauce dish had way too much sauce.

I have been ordering delivery via UberEats for the last couple of months regularly. Keep noticing the portions of food is getting smaller & smaller every time. Very disappointed. Won’t be ordering anymore.

First time really nice lovely food and great atmosphere

Looks like a pub from the outside but then have plenty of dining space at the back of the restaurant. There lunch time special 2 meals for £13 is a bargain. Not the largest portions but was more than enough. Highly recommend and will be back again.

First time eating here. It was great. Atmosphere, food, cocktails. Try the passion fruit mai tai it's delicious. Salt and pepper chicken wings also delicious 😋 will definitely return.

My first time at Crown and Pepper. Food and service both first class. My server Rohit was very attentive and was interested in what I was wanting to eat and gave recommendations. The great thing about Crown and Pepper is you can mix between Chinese and Indian dishes and on my experience the quality of both was top class. They run a 2 for 1 cocktails between 1600 to 1900 which I took advantage of. All in all a great experience food nicely spiced and seasoned Chill Shredded Lamb and Chicken Dumpling soup. Highly recommened

We are lucky to have the Crown and Pepper in South Croydon. It has many great assets but I just want to mention the amazing lamb chops 😄 They are juicy, massive, and amazing. Sports, Indian and Chinese Food, beers, clean, friendly, etc. They are running a really good show 🙏🏾

A fantastic establishment to conclude an evening or a day of imbibing. The prices are reasonable, the service is excellent, and the cuisine is exquisite.

We had two different noodles, a sauce to share, and two cocktails. The food was amazing and we happened to walk in on a Sunday during Karaoke, which we loved after our meal.

Went with friends 17/2/24. Good atmosphere everywhere clean. Very good service.

The worst customer service I ever see. I have ordered on Uber some noodles and nuggets for my kids. After around 80 minutes I called the pub to find out what happened with my order, why it hasn’t been collected. The lady said that my order is been collected like 15 min ago. Waiting for the driver, but not driver. Calling again the pub and they said I should contact the driver, cause the order is been picked up, but on the app still showing that they waiting for a driver. After another 20 min I see the driver by the pub and collecting the order. When I called the pub back they said the order it’s been picked up long time ago, and when I said they lying, he put the phone down, no apology, no nothing and they cancelled my order. Very poor customer service and no respect for people.

Great starters, in fact really good. My mixed vegetable curry main was disappointing, but friends who had the lamb dishes enjoyed their meat dishes.

Popped in for a nice Saturday meal and my husband and I were throughly impressed! Great customer service, delicious food, reasonably priced! We will return!

Ate here last week for a midweek evening meal. Food was delicious. We ordered starters and mains. Portion sizes were great and the food was so good! Service was excellent too from Jaimin and his team, very attentive. Would definitely go back regularly and recommend them to anyone who fancies a good meal in Croydon.

Pros: Great food, no issues there at all Football was on and ambience was live albeit a bit too noisy for conversation Cons: Service was appalling, we were sat at our table for over 2 hours. It must have took 30minutes to serve the starters and then they seemed to have forgotten about the mains. We had to make multiple complaints only to be told the food was only being prepared at the time of complaining which was 60minutes post starters coming. I would say if you are not in a hurry and you are happy to wait then that is fine, but if you want to be served on time then do not go here.

Hard to find a better pub/dinner in the local area. Always good energy and a good vibe. Showing football match's and other sports, this pubs loved by many regulars, Great food good portions best to book a table.

Great food!! Reminded me of Regency in Queensbury, very homely feel. Nice atmosphere. Football was on a bit too loud and we had to ask several times before our tap water and drinks arrived. But food was great!

The worst takeaway I have ever eaten. Smallest portions. £7 for poppadoms. Do not order a takeaway

From the outside we didn't expect to much but I have to say the food was a pleasant surprise. I was there with work colleagues and the waiter said he was unable to split the table so we had to order at the bar which wouldn't of been an issue if we hadn't of ended up getting starters before our mains. However the food made up for this as it was truly delicious and enjoyed by all of my colleagues

Lamb curry and dhal makhani were the most flavoursome consumed in a while. A busy location with multiple TVs and seating.

The staff here are extremely Rude. There food and Beer is so expensive and there always increasing there prices and giving you less portion size etc. Its a shame because the food Quality's good. Sorry but I can't give you more stars ⭐ for this reason

The Indian isn't as good as the Chinese but they are equally delicious. Only problem is that it's slow service but the food is always worth the wait.

My server Bhanu is one of the most professional and engaging servers I've met in a while. He bought my food in a timely manner and also made some good suggestions. Will definitely be coming back

What a vibe!! Traditional pub with Indo-Chinese cuisine. Authentic Indian food. I’d recommend their Prawn biryani and chicken wings if you can take the heat. Cocktails were great. Prices are reasonable too. They also have space at the back, a beer garden which you can hire for functions and parties.staff were courteous and attentive. Definitely a place to relax and mingle with friends and family. Parking is usually on the main road which is free after 5pm. Or park in the Spice yard car park which is after six around £4.40 for whole night. Their owner Raj is quite friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely staff meal here. We all enjoyed our food and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Have visited a dozen times and the food is always of a high quality and is consistent- which is hard to find at a lot of Indian restaurants. The mixed grill is a must here and all of the curries are tasty. I have always ordered from the Indian menu so can't comment on the Chinese dishes.

If you can please avoid this place… Crispy chilli beef was cold not properly cooked was sent back Masala chicken thigh was salty to an extent Egg fried rice was soy sauce rice mixed with egg (not a regular fried rice) Chilli paneer was a shame Paneer tikka was pathetically cooked Lastly we just wanted to leave, service was not that great second drink was never given. Only thing promptly served was the bill so 5 stars for that. Worst and going to be last experience ever

I came here for the first time and ordered PANEER TIKA MASALA, but it came with lots of methi (Fenugreek), I complained but the manager refused to accept that they had given the wrong dish and care to correct the mistake. Worst customer handling. The manager is incompetent, would not recommend anyone and the rest of the food is average.

Where do I start, it’s a causal busy pub/lounge vibe - a place to hang out and get some drinks and grab some Chinese or Indian food while you’re there. The lounge bar staff do not know how to mix cocktails, no matter where I travel to I always order the same drink “strawberry daiquiri” which is a frozen drink or at least crushed ice to give that island vibe. So I definitely know how this should be mixed, sadly the bar attendant mixed a quarter of my drink with water, I thought that was odd considering this is £10 cocktail served in a 500ml wine glass, and to make it worse there was not any taste of alcohol rather than a sweet after taste of concentrated juice. So to the food: I was in attendance with a reserved party of 30 people, the waiters were all over the place and stretched to the limit were I felt sorry for them. Food took an hour and 30mins to arrive by then I wasn’t even hungry because it was getting late and I boxed half of my food to take home. I ordered steamed dumplings, vegetable biryani and vegetable dhal. The dumplings were delicious but the rice was super greasy as if it had been deep fried and that is not how it should taste - believe me! I tasted biryani from around the world, and unfortunately this didn’t match it - I tasted more grease rather than the spices. I could see from my friends they did enjoy the Chinese food they ordered, perhaps I should selected Chinese rather than from the Indian Cuisine menu, I might’ve had a better experience and overlooked the wait time. I know it was a busy Friday evening and they seemed under-staffed and overwhelmed, not sure if I would run over my heels to come back so soon. Nice atmosphere though…

Booked a table for a meal.Once seated, nobody offered us a menu or to take our order for drinks. When I went to the bar to place a drink order they told me to sit back down and someone would come to take our order. Nobody did so I went again to place a drinks order. Once I picked up the drinks I then had to get up to ask 2 servers to bring menu’s. Once brought over, nobody came to take our order for 20 mins so we left lol, its a Sunday and wasn’t even busy😂. wouldn’t recommend, service was terrible.

Unfortunately it’s not a good review this time ! My husband ordered Briani from your restaurant in Croydon and found a big piece of metal in it. He did call you and the person who was on the phone ignored the complaint. We have notified Croydon Council - health and safety as it’s quite a serious matter if he would have eaten it , it might have seriously injured him. We were shocked with the way matter was dealt with actually not dealt with at all !!!

Went in here during the Croydon food festival for a quick beer, but regrettably no real ales on tap so decided to have a cider. Quite an enjoyable atmosphere which was busy and vibrant. Did not purchase food on the premises which is reason for Nil stars. Although the restaurant appeared to to very busy!

Went there for first time. DJ was playing great music.

We got a dish not like and asked to get a refund not eaten. The manage refused because we ordered and had to pay even if tasted not good

Strange night, classic karaoke ( meaning most singers were terrible) but the customers ( lots of locals)loved it and sang with them, atmosphere around people dancing & child friendly Was busy so a bit of a mess around, but you would expect that. Service was ok, and the essence of the menu ( Indian food was in the air) though we were to late to try Fun in a confusing way

I live in the northwest, so beer price was a shock, but it is what it is, food was good, + a good price, menu for lunches was good all round, got on well with staff & locals, (that's how I am), all in all a good experience. Will go again.

A nice pub at the front of house in what looks like an old Victorian building. A good selection of drinks on offer. The staff were helpful and friendly. To the back of the building is an Asian fusion restaurant. I did not eat on this occasion but the food looked very inviting. The restaurant was busy with customers who booked in advance and others who were seated without reservation. It was noticeable that it was also a popular choice of takeaway, as many deliveries were been collected throughout the evening. The atmosphere was a buzz of family and friends talking, laughing and enjoyment. The night of my visit, had a singer performing classic and modern songs. I certainly will return.

Ordered an Uber eats. Prices are £9.50 per dish on average which is super excessive. 2 Nan, 1 rice and 2 Indian dishes costing £37. Safe to say won’t be ordering from here again.

Lovely venue inside. With a good size section at the back. Didn't eat any food but bar staff was friendly.

Food is a hit and miss! Some dishes are good, some not so good. The service is horrible and won't be going back. I also ordered popadoms with my order which was not correct and I was unhappy. They asked me to come back of which I was unable to do at the time. They then said I could come back for a refund for that at any point. Which I did.. after waiting 10 mins outside in the rain, eventually, I was was given my refund in change which seemed petty. Very masogonistic atmosphere and managers which is my order was a take away. The men who are the owners and the customers inside are very rude and pervy on women which is very uncomfortable. Would not recommend based on crowd, management and service.
