Love Singapore orchid. Really lovely to sit in with food and they do great cocktails too. The take away is also fab and we order regularly. Top notch Asian food.

My order arrived early by 15 minutes which was brilliant & the lady delivering it was very friendly & polite. The food was absolutely delicious! Besides being piping hot, every dish was cooked to perfection, tasted beautiful — and the portions were generous too. The whole meal was so tasty, freshly-cooked and full of flavour that it has to be right up there with the best Chinese I’ve ever had. I shan’t go to any other Chinese in this area now, as it was simply superb in every way. 10 stars!🌟🌟🌟

Delicious food across the starters and mains. They offer an extensive menu for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans. Service was very good. We'll be back when next in the area.

Excellent food as always. We visited on Friday as a group of six and were made to feel incredibly welcome as we always do by the staff and owner, exceptional service and food. Big shout out to the fantastic cocktails too, they are a must try.

We didn't dine in the restaurant, as we have done on many occasions, but we ordered delivery for a gathering of 15 friends. As always the food was delicious and the Singapore Orchid staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating with our complicated order. Everyone was very complimentary about the authentic tastes of Asia.

Dined here last night, food was excellent, we especially loved the soft shell crab & the Pad Thai was as good as I have experienced anywhere. Service was great too & the prices at just under £30 per person are more than reasonable.

A good selection of Singaporian, Malaysian and Thai cuisine. Friendly service and reasonably busy in there, looking forward to our next visit.

I really like Singapore Orchid...we love their food ...but after waiting 1 1/2 hours for a delivery & then phoning to find it was still in the queue to be cooked we gave up & cancelled the order. I wanted an evening meal not breakfast.

Amazing freshly cooked food, great menu. So glad this place is local as it’s a cut above any average takeaways. Eaten in several times too and service has been great.

This was our first experience eating in a few weeks ago and I couldn’t feel more uncomfortable when we entered. A very rude and disrespectful woman, (short blondish hair), she looked like the owner. She looked at me up and down and failed to say hello- a look of why we were there. When I told her I had a reservation- she was stunned and was very dismissive and after I said we made a reservation she was rather perplexed. We were sat to the table and given one menu to start with…. ( they had a large group dining too- so took up all the menus). There was a nice gentleman who I believe took our booking who was friendly- that’s your lot! Upon ordering, I had forgotten to order a small portion of egg fried rice and when I asked to place an order, the waitress who took our order snapped and said it will take a “long time”. It was for my 3 year old- rice is a staple dish, which does not involve extensive cooking (also pre cooked) I found this pretty unreasonable, how could you deny a child food- they didn’t want us there. You can't whip up a small portion of rice, she didn't want our custom. The food in general was good- however the staff and ambience was abysmal. As an owner, you should be welcoming and friendly- the woman who greeted us- was far from this. She did not want our business as she was seen to pander to the large group of customers she had in the restaurant. A real shame, given this could have been our new local. Note the owner: don’t dismiss people who are coming to your restaurant, we are the people who keep your restaurant going. I would really score this no stars for service or ambience. I feel discriminated by the entire experience.

Such a fantastic evening at Singapore Orchid. Ananda, Annie and the team were warm, welcoming and funny! The food tasted excellent and I would recommend trying the Tomyum cocktails!

A real shame as we are regular customers, but wont be anymore. We order or eat in at least once a month, tonight we ordered a takeaway in which was £30 for 2 chicken chow mein and 2 rice. We was told on the email it would be an hour and half. I then called the lady to make sure the order was ok and she didn’t make us aware that our food would take 2 and half hours. I then called the restaurant 2 hours later to see where our food is and the response I got was the lady laughing at me and saying do you want food or not. I then asked to speak to the manager in which she replied I am. I then said what is the situation with the food is it on its way she replied with it’s still cooking. I asked if there would be a complimentary prawn crackers as for some reason they dont come with some which is strange as every other Chinese take away does. She said no as the energy bills since covid have been high. I will definitely NOT be going there or ordering again. Such a shame

I love coming here! The food is amazing and it’s always such a lovely atmosphere. I always feel like we get such a personal experience and have recommended Singapore Orchid to many people. Ananda takes to time to sit and talk to you and makes us laugh every time we go. They also make great cocktails! Can’t wait to go back.

All the food here was well presented and tasted first class. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They were able to advise and recommend specific dishes. There are many vegan and vegetarian options. Prices are reasonable. Car parking spaces can be found in the nearby streets.

Not bad food, sometimes service isn’t great. They don’t like to take orders over the phone on Fridays and Saturdays. Yes you can order online with an additional fee, but why when I’m collecting myself.

Ordered from here for the first time yesterday, as a treat for my daughter. Money is a challenge at the moment so I was hoping for something special. Very busy in the restaurant so was advised to order online. That was easy enough to do. Order time quoted was half an hour but it was more like 45 minutes, which was fine. Friday night and they were busy. Ordered spicy chicken, egg fried rice and spicy shredded beef. The rice was good and the portion was enough for two. The mains were not good. My chicken was a breaded piece cut into portions, served with a hot sweet ‘chilli’ sauce. It was very sweet and sickly and had no spice at all. The chicken was flavourless and limp. My daughters beef was more batter than anything else. The beef inside was minimal, the pieces were chewy and tough. Again no flavour an hint of eastern spices or flavour. This tiny meal cost nearly £24. Disappointed does not begin to describe our experience. Will not waste my hard earned money here again.

This restaurant absolutely delivered for our special occasion. They opened slightly earlier to allow us to do small decorations and bring in the birthday cake. They were incredibly accommodating. The waitress Elena was so attentive to our needs and served everything with a smile. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The place is small and cozy. Highly recommend!

Had a meal out on the 4th October 2023, not too enamoured by the food, or the bill; £75 for 2 people with no alcoholic drinks (small soda water £4:95 and small sparkling water £4:95), but this is not the reason for the review. On the evening of the 5th, I fell very sick, vomiting, diarrhoea, having to take 2 days off work to recoverer. I thought nothing of it, until I found out the person I dined with had exactly the same over the same time frame. Look at my reviews, I am not one to complain, but this wiped me out for 2 days!

To celebrate a big birthday our family enjoyed a lovely meal together here on a Saturday evening. Food was delicious. But more than that the staff were very friendly, attentive & were so considerate to my allergies. Making sure everything I ordered was free of specific allergens. Which was much appreciated.

This is the first time I write a review for a restaurant. And the first time for the whole of my life they charged me a cup of hot water for 1.5pound!! And it even wasn't listed on the menu！Water is free in a restaurant everywhere! Also they charged me sevice fee, and said it is a must and non-removable. The girl served me wasnt so nice, it was an empty restaurant and she asked me to move to a dirty table! Such a shame! Never come back again!

Came to this restaurant on a friends recommendation and the fact it had a fusion menu. I am allergic to chilli and asked that my food was chilli free. My family all ordered and were extremely happy with their choices. I had a noodle dish and it tasted spicy to me. I was assured it was chilli free, but as they could see I wasn't happy, I was offered a different dish that was absolutely spice free. It was very tasty and I really enjoyed it. The vegetarian duck with pancakes was also delicious. Would definitely recommend and I thank the staff for being so considerate.

I purchased a takeout after work, this food was soooo delicious! I had salt and pepper chicken, sweet n sour prawn balls and Katsu curry chicken , I should of got the prawn crackers too. Thank you Singapore orchid I’ll be back 😊 Deborah

One of best take away we had in long time. We have had both eat in and take out. Is now our go too always. Beautiful flavours and seasoned so well. Honestly we couldn't fault it. Wish the portion were bigger but again really good food. Thank you, our Saturday night was saved.

Have ordered from this place for collection many times over the phone INCLUDING ON A FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT- ALWAYS. Called up this evening to make a simple order for 1 dish however the customer service was terribly lacking. I was told very rudely to place the order online, despite explaining that to order for collection online you have to spend a minimum of £20.00 where my dish was only going to cost 10.95. Woman on the phone was very rude and said well I am too busy right now to take an order from you right now. In the time she took to say all of this she could have simply taken the 1 order. Very Poor service and I will not be ordering from this place again.

Disappointed: Food is usually much better than this, but on this occasion I received very cold food and it arrived late. Of note, the food was not sent in a thermal bag, it was delivered the in the usual white plastic bag. Hence, the number of stars from me fell significantly.

Amazing food, always great tasting and food will be ready when they say it will be. Good selection of dishes across Asian countries so if you're in the mood for Chinese or Thai or a mix then this is your place. Wouldn't go anywhere else,

This is my second time coming to the Singapore Orchid. It did not disappoint! Firstly, customer service was excellent and the young lady who served my friend and I was very polite and friendly. The food was delicious, we had a set menu and everything was tasty. The cocktails we had, pina coladas, were to die for! The prices are also reasonable. Highly recommend this local gem!

The service was lackluster. Need to work on greeting customers in a more friendly manner. Did not make a booking before hand, and this seemed to cause consternation. We accepted a table at the bar, but this could have been handled better. The food portions were small in my opinion but tasted very good.

Ordered from these guys only to be cancelled again. Probably because of my last review. Absolutely useless. I will endeavour to tell as many people as possible about the poor service. They didn’t even bother to call and advise of cancellation

Just had a takeaway from here and the food is great. I really like that the veg/vegan food is clearly labelled- I feel confident ordering from here that I won’t have to inspect my plate just incase. It was delivered in the time window and the food was really hot when it arrived. Thanks!

Great restaurant and very reasonably priced! I had miso soup and sizzling tofu + rice to eat and ate it all with biggest pleasure - both dishes were very tasty! The staff was also lovely and very informative, especially when it comes to catering for special dietary requirements such as food intolerances or allergies. I will most definitely come back for more one day!

My usual Chinese was closed. This has to be the worst I've ever had , just salty , doesn't look or taste like real chicken , gave me another dish not king po chicken , real disappointment.waste of petrol and money .

We were longing for a chineses resturant when we saw Singapore orchid advertised on line. A warm and friendly wecome. Food was amazing .,we tried quite a few dishes and was not disappointed at all with any of them . Great staff and customer service. Will definitely retune in the near future .

The great thing about Singaporean cuisine for a large family with diverse tastes is that it was pan-asian before the term existed. One of the best things about Singapore Orchid, is that the cuisine is well prepared. Two of my children love Chinese food. Their sweet and sour chicken and chicken chow mein were perfect. They also loved the chicken satay. My wife, who loves Indian cuisine, found the claypot chicken curry with roti paratha too her liking. My daughter, who also has a preference for Indian and Thai cuisines found the curry king prawns to be spicy and tasty enough enough for her - which is a rare event. Her vegan boyfriend loved the vegan crispy duck and vegetarian (vegan) lamb curry. I enjoyed the Singaporean Chinese Fried Kway Teow. The biggest surprise were the cocktails. Finally, an espresso martini that actually tastes of espresso. A peach cocktail whose name I do not recall was amazing too. They were the best cocktails I have tasted anywhere in the world. The waitress then told me that many customers come in just for the cocktails. Great food, great cocktails, lovely restaurant, and excellent service. Ticks all of the boxes.

The food was absolutely delicious and the vegan menu was incredible. Me and my family have struggled for ages to find vegan food as good as this. The staff are lovely, and were happy to change the spice levels of any dishes. We have known about this restaurant for less than a year, but it's already a favourite. I would highly recommend.

Quantity was very little for the price paid. 4 small dumplings for £6.95. No rice with chicken katsu currys and cost £8.95. Delivery cost £3 (highest I ever paid) and took 1 hour 15 mins even though it is less than half mile away. When called on phone, attitude was - it is how it is. Won't order again.

Usually the takeaway is good but had a disaster last night. Food arrived 25 minutes after ordering which was an immediate red flag. Sadly the quality of the food was indeed poor, sauces were watery and meat rubbery. Would assume had been microwaved.
