Saturday Evening. Busy when I went, but Connor working on the bar, was an absolute star, went above and beyond with service. Polite, helpful and even helped me with setting up the free WiFi on my laptop. :)

Mid week birthday tea, Callum was a star, polite, professional and attentive. Food cooked by Alfie and was perfect, defo recommend and will be going again

Visit Bridgnorth frequently and this is my go to pub for food, it’s dog friendly staff are very friendly, drinks reasonably priced plus sports are on lots of screens, much better than spoons

We stopped for breakfast and enjoyed it so much we came back for an early evening meal. The food was brilliant ,especially breakfast 😋 and Lee, the chef does really good breakfasts. Nick who served us was so kind and friendly, he was very informative of the town and surrounding areas, which we found really helpful. A brilliant pub serving great food via a great chef, and served by a really nice staff member who felt like family by the time we left.....he was lovely. Nick and Lee... wrll done guys xx

Nick the barman and Paula who brought our food out was extremely helpful and very welcoming, me and my partner ordered 2 large breakfasts and I can honestly say one of the best breakfast I’ve had in a very long time. The food was piping hot and good local produce was used. Would definitely recommend the crown Bridgnorth to anyone 👍

Called today for morning coffee (as we often do) and received excellent service from Nick and Paula. The coffee is good and reasonably priced.

What a lovely place, people, service and food. Excellent value for money. We were there late morning but any time of day would be an experience. Great vibe.

Today I came to The Crown pup on my own , an decided to treat myself to a nice rum steak and drink, The bartender named Connor was brilliant and polite an the chef named Lee was amazing , as I got great service and the food was on time. The steak I had was cooked medium rare which was amazing and I would recommend coming again. The Crown Pub brings out a good atmosphere, They also allow pets and there’s a mini dog bar which is perfect for peoples furry Little friends.

Lovely breakfast always served with a smile by Nick trusty barman. Very convenient location and dog friendly. Happy days.

I always have a great time here. The building is spacious and even though it has many levels, there are level access entry/exits and a level access toilet for wheelchair users like myself and also people with limited mobility and people with pushchairs. Nick and Paula and the other staff are always very welcoming and helpful. The food is always really tasty and nicely presented.

The Crown is a excellent warm and friendly pub/restaurant who's staff are so warm and friendly..myself and my dad who's 90 nxt month used to go in wetherspoons untill 2 years ago we dicided to try here,we now come in here at least twice a week and travel 20 miles to get here,,NICK,PAULA AND GEMMA who work their treat us like family,,just friendly and beautiful people who really look after us both,,SO NICK,PAULA AND GEMMA,THANK YOU X

Me and my friend who left a wonderful review on here , came here on 4th April with a campervan I wanted to to put a review too , I am absolutely blown away by the hospitality of staff at the crown , nick has been the perfect host. Also I don't know the names of the other 2 that served us a young lad and a lady also were very welcoming and we felt like we knew all the staff for ages , the food was spot on too , we found the prices reasonable and highly recommend this place for food and drinks if you go to bridgnorth. Thanks everyone for making us so welcome and when we pass by we will pop in again

Gem of a pub. Called to ask if we could stay overnight in our Motorhome in the carpark. We spoke with Nick and he said we could have his parking space when we arrived. On arrival at 11am Nick made us feel so welcome. We had a coffee then decided we'd stay for lunch. We pre-ordered for midday but as we had mentioned we were going sightseeing afterwards they went out of their way to cook our lunch straight away. We opted for a mixed grill which came cooked to perfection. We then headed out and about in Bridgnorth and on our return to The Crown we were made to feel like old friends. We were even told that if we "needed to use the facilities" after 7am the next day to just knock on the door as someone would be here to let us in. Service like this is so rare these days. Every town needs a place like The Crown.

Very poor. Only one (and a half) staff behind bar. When he saw me approach with a menu politely told me 2hr wait for food.also told me it was a bank hol (I knew that lol). Decided to just have a drink as unable to wait. One of the barmen was doing his best but the other eas a waste of space, flitting up snd down the bar and would help the good one rather than servi g other customers himself. Expecting one barman to manage both drink and food orders was, quite simply, far too much. Waiting staff didn't seem at all happy or enthusiastic. I would have thought that if they were busy then they might have quickened their pace! Having kept The Swan in Bridgnorth some years ago I can remember The Crown being packed on a regular basis. With the number of customers today (it was nearly empty this lunch time) I could have made a better job myself on my own. Seemed like the ordering system on the tills was far too complex and exacerbated the bad situation. Went to the little cafe next door instead. See review.

Incredibly poor service, ordered food advised 40 min wait, got to an hour asked how much longer, told 10 mins, 20 mins passed, asked again for a very rude staff member to tell us any second with no eye contact, waited further 10 mins - ended up with a refund - they tried to advise they were busy but in the whole time waiting only 3 order’s appeared to have come out of the kitchen - won’t be back !

Great pub. Mothers day lunch was lovely. Food really tasty and good value. Enjoyed by all ages from grandparents to grandchildren. Staff friendly and helpful. Dog friendly. New owner Craig, very pleasant and welcoming. Recommend you try it

All the staff were pleasant and the food was spot on. I highly recommend the crown. Will definitely be going back, the staff were very welcoming with our dog too.

Very bizarrely I ordered dry brown toast with very very very crispy bacon on the side( really wanted full English but diet said nooo🙄)..and it actually arrived EXACTLY as I wanted it!!.. normally when you ask for it well done a good vet could bring it bk to life!!!..so I left happy.lovely staff..our goto place for breakfast whenever we go to bridgenorth..thankyou😃x

Very dissappinted at the lack of service. My friend and I had to wait over 40 minutes for a couple of cheese baguettes. When the food finally arrived my naguette had next to nothing inside it. I took my friend there as I had always wanted to visit this place but now I won't be going back!. That's a real shame because the inside is actually quite a nice space. .

Called in for lunch.. I have to say the food was excellent value for money.. What was more impressive was how good the staff were, very polite and informative. This pub has something for everyone..

Be careful when using there carpark. Me and wife drove on to park up to have a quick pint because wife was driving. .and was no spaces available to park up.and because we was in a van.took 12 minutes to get of as the carpark was tight and got blocked in. Was issued with a £60 parking fine in the post.disgusted.

I would not recommend going here ever! The staff are rude, unfriendly and discriminating! I understand the rules on masks during this pandemic however I am mask exempted. As you can understand I have a disability. When arriving to the pub I got shouted and screamed at by a member of staff because I can’t wear a mask. They are no where near accommodating to disabled people and will treat you with no respect and even embarrass you in front of all the customers. Highly disgusted!!

Don't go its either a burger or a salad, come on please its not hard to please us .but when I order and say can i have the nachos without the salsa cos I have an allergy to tomatoes and the poor undertrianed lad says I will check I don't expect it to turn up with said offending devil fruit ,I accept this is a chain and all food bought in ( no problem) but please if you can't change it tell me I will gladly have a drink and eat elsewhere ,will go again because i like the pub but not for food

Came here for food Bank Holiday Monday. I ordered a chicken Tikka Massala. Food came after 45 minutes. Found a large plastic film covering in my food...proving that the food served was microwaved. Told staff...was offered a small diet coke as compensation...which I declined. Very expensive for meals considering the standard of food..£9 for a microwave meal! My first and last visit.

5 pounds for 3 tiny chicken wings with hot sauce poured over what a bargain I shan't have to eat for days after that fill.

I visited The Crown in Bridgnorth and ended up having lunch. I had not been to Bridgnorth or The Crown for many years. The venue was pleasant and lots of seating and space. After getting a drink I decided to stay for lunch as I was quite hungry. My food took a little longer than I expected but it was nice tasting, good portion and nice and hot. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The only downside I can think of is the men’s toilet need renovating, they let the place down but they were clean.

Having never been to Bridgnorth before we wandered into this place as the menu looked good. The place was pretty empty for a lunch time but this just meant we got served quicker which was good! Polite staff quick service and tasty food. I got the chicken tikka masala which was just the right amount and was really flavoursome. My partner chose to get a burger and he really enjoyed it. Maybe we just picked a good day judging from the previous reviews but it wouldn’t stop me returning to give it another go.

I went for lunch last week with my husband. We both opted for the lunchtime special fish and chips at £8,50 for both. When it came, I was staggered at how tiny the fish portion was, mine was about the length of my thumb, no joke, and my husbands portion just a bit bigger. This came with chips and mushy peas. When our plates were collected, I did comment on how small I thought our meals had been and was told, well it was the lunchtime specials menu! Instead of being a light bite and value for money, we thought it was a right rip off. I’ve eaten at many places and paid about the same for a decent size meal. No wonder it was very quiet. We won’t be hurrying back!!!

Since last January we have been to this pub 5 times to eat, on each occasion they have either had no chef, closed early cos it's quiet, had no power or last night at 7.10pm shut early for a deep clean. Total waste of time no wonder it was empty and Wethetspoons was full.

Never again, went for my first visit took ages to finally find a seat and took ages for the table to be cleared, so sat down to order and go to the bar to then be told it was over an hour wait for food as they had 30 orders already, really poor no apology , awful place

Went in on a Saturday for food and the service and quality was dreadful. Stayed here until later on in the evening, unfortunately to then realise how busy it got later on, to then witness the maltreatment of members of the public by the doorstaff, this is truly unacceptable. Would not recommend or visit here again.

Came here with my mum and dad who were up for Christmas. Had to wait a while for the food but that was ok and the food was good pub food. My only complaint is that they allow Vaping in the pub. As a non smoker if this had have been said on the door I would have gone else where......

Having lived in bridgnorth nearly all my life decided to go to the crown bridgnorth for Sunday dinner. Only had chicken which was perfect for me as only eat chicken or fish. Very nicely presented with a selection of vegetables and roast potatoes will definitely go back to the crown bridgnorth now i know they do a proper Sunday dinner and well worth the 7.99 paid.

Myself and a friend had a 3 course xmas meal for lunch last wk and i would highly recommend the experience if you are looking for friendly staff and a tasty meal on a budget .

We ordered 4 meals, the 3 meals, 2 for children and a small bite were good. The most expensive meal a 10oz Gammon Steak with egg or pineapple plus chips was awful. No eggs!! and declined the pineapple. The Gammon Steak the size of a mini burger, at least if there had been a egg it may not have been so obvious.We spoke to waiter immediately the plate was put down, apologetic (but not his fault). Very poor effort from kitchen/management. With so many really good pubs and food in Bridgenorth I'm surprised you survive ( place was almost empty)!

Visited with a group of 25 and ordered in advance. The food was good value and well presented and all came out at the same time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely go back

Always used to have a meal in there when I went to Bridgnorth on the Severn Valley Railway. I went shopping to Bridgnorth today with my Mom, and decided to treat her to a meal, I was told a 45 min wait. Went there 3 weeks ago and was told the same. Only stayed in there a few minutes as there was football blarring out on all televisions, it was sitting in Wembley stadium. Used to be nice in here, won't ever bother going in again.

We have eaten at the Crown at lunchtime before and have had a reasonable experience but unfortunately today we had a long wait for our food to arrive, despite the pub being very quiet. We ordered fish and chips from the main menu and the fish was very overcooked, to the point where the batter was so hard it was very difficult to cut. The rest of the meal was ok. We debated sending it back, but, having waited so long for the meals to arrive, and needing to get back to the station to catch a train, we decided to eat it and put it down to experience. We won't be going back though.

Long wait for food, burnt garlic bread, tiny fish portion was all batter, rock hard & contained almost no fish, lasagne was dried up and rubbery, disgusting toilets some with no locks, toilet paper or blocked. Worst meal we've ever had. The only positive is that we were refunded our money without fuss when we sent the meals back.

Long wait for food; don't know why as the portion was less than a child's portion. Very disappointed as the place appears to have gone downhill since we last had food their.

15 of us visited on a thursday lunch the food was awful we was overcharged when my wife tried to speak to the manager he threatened her with violence if she didnt leave the premisis, so i took her out of the premises . we have photos of the specials board which 2 adults 2 children and a baby had chosen from , 2 lots of meals 2 for £8 total £16 a pint for £1.50 and three glasses of pop for £16.50 2 full price meals £7.95 each and 2 drinks £23 yet there was more food on the £4 specials plates then we get to the real trouble makers 3 OAP'S 73.80,and 83 years old couldnt eat their jacket potatoes the manager refunded one and moaned that we should try cooking in a kitchen thats hot , and all this happened before he threatened my wife who is severely disabled , i recommend that you starve before you eat on these premises.

Friend recommended this place. Food was lovely and loved the atmosphere. Only down sides was we asked for onion rings with cheese only. Came with bacon. Told waiter and he said he would check but never came back. Then afterwards went to order pudding was told kitchen now closed. So few areas that spoilt it a bit. But enjoyed food and would go again

Oh dear we made a bad mistake! We walked through the door! We had decided to go to The Crown as it looked nice from the outside. Sadly that's where the niceness ended. It was early evening and the place only had a handful of folk in, however that didn't seem to matter to the management as the music was very loud for such a few people. = But we thought we'd give it a try - 2nd mistake. It's difficult to sit without being in a draft as both doors were open at both ends of the room. We ordered food - stake pie dinner and a fish and chips dinner. The pie had the appearance of being microwaved, the pastry was in very poor condition. The chips were hardly cooked. The portions were questionable. I had to ask for a glass to put my drink in as the bottle was just left on the counter. The disabled toiled was dreadful. We won't be back.

Me and my friends went in for a meal and when we ordered our food this lad said its 45min wait and we said yes that's OK we don't mind waiting we're have a drink till our food come. So a hour and 15mins after I went to the bar and said to the staff where our food we been waiting over a hour now and the girl who served us said hold on let me check... She came back and she did not know what we ordered so I said how can you not know what we ordered and then she said your food was given to other people so can you wait a other 15mins I said nope I want my money back and she was so rude and snotty to all of us so I said where your manager she then pointed he over there I said well I want to see him this is not on At all.. So the manager came over and said your have to wait for your food I said you what I don't think so he was so rude to us all he said it's not our fault we're busy and I said to him well it is your fault you gave our food to someone else at this time there was no sorry or nothing he was so rude and he needs retraining as how to run and sort his staff out and I said I want all my money back and he did not know what we ordered so we had to tell him what we ordered to get our money back so he gave our money back for just our food and I said I think we should have our money back for our drinks we got in the place waiting for our food and he said nope I can not do that at all and I said I think this is real bad how we all been treated and he was like here your money for your food and walked off I was so mad how we all got treated so I walked out before it kicked off even more and I said I'd be ringing head office and he said do what you want this is head office I was so mad and I think all the staff and managers there should not be there if they can't do there jobs prob and plz stay away from this place and I think the place needs shutting down with all what's going on and treating people the way they do

Visited here on 22nd April 2019 bank holiday Monday myself my husband and a friend . We ordered food at 1pm and was told the wait was 45 minutes which we said was fine but by the time we had put the order though it had gone up to an hour wait which we said that was ok. However an hour and half later we were still sitting in a very cold pub because of the air con, still with no food. I then decided I would go to find out what was going on as people that ordered after us had eaten and already left. I was asked what I had ordered and what table we were on , the girl looked on the till and said hang on I’ll find out for you , she came back from the kitchen to say they were very busy and our order must have gone to the wrong table and it would be at least another 20 minutes but could I tell her what we had ordered I said look on the till and she just kept saying I don’t know what you have ordered. I said well if no one knows what I have ordered how can you send it to the wrong table there was no I’m sorry for the inconvenience so I said I wanted to speak to the manager. I explained everything to him and all I got back was well we are busy and it’s gone to the wrong table . Which I replied I understand it’s bank holiday and yes you are busy but please explain to me why we have waited an hour and half then get told you don’t know what we’ve ordered and it must of gone to the wrong table but if we wait another 20 you would get it out to us there was no sorry nothing. I asked for my money back and on questioning the amount given back I was told they couldn’t refund me the drinks as well, but they refunded for the person that was infront of me . I just took what money they gave me and went elsewhere. Absolutely disgusted with the service. All the staff were very miserable with no manners not even a please or Thankyou and that goes for the manager too . I think a bit of staff training and how to treat the customers wouldn’t go a miss . I will definitely not be going there again and i would advise anyone else thinking of going not to bother you will be left very disappointed.

In Bridgnorth for a few nights, decided to try the Crown, turned up in the evening for a family meal to be informed they weren’t serving food as the friers were broken. No signs outside and no alternative menu.

Myself and my Fiancé visited here on Saturday afternoon. The pub was quite busy, mostly people sitting in the bar. We found a table that had not long been vacated, it seemed sticky so after around 10/15 minutes I saw a waiter and got it cleaned. We went up and ordered food which was the Tennessee Burger & Lamb burger. We were told there was a 45 minute wait on food but was so hungry we decided to stay and wait. After about 20 minutes we were brought our knives & forks by a young lad, did not say a word or even smile. We waited a while again and our food arrived, the plates honestly look like the kind you would serve sauces and dressings on they were so small. The waiter again making no comments and just no smiles at all you can tell they really love their jobs! The food was terrible, chips were luke warm the salad on the burgers and even the slaw side had all started to go off and discolour. The sauce on the Tennessee burger was so strong, I know its a BBQ jack daniels but my god its a good job I wasn’t driving or that alone would have taken me over the limit!! The lamb burger was ok my other half said but again containing gone off lettuce. I left most of the meal and we went to the chip shop instead. Will not be coming again, tell your staff to cheer up a little a smile won’t crack their faces!

Was busy cause of the weather,it wasf 2 for 1 on burgers cause it was a monday,food didnt take long was luke warm when arrived almost like it had been waiting longer then it should of to go out,the buns couldnt hold the burger after a few bites it fell apart also nobody came to check if everything was ok,other tables were having to find condiments and lend our menus,just before we left there seemed to be confusion on what food was whos so the staff were just shouting out the names of the food they had in the hope someone would say thats ours, i had a mojito it was awful and to be honest my partner did say the barman said itd been months since he made one...

Adequate but not outstanding lunch eaten sitting in beer garden. Pleasant and friendly staff and quick service. Ladies loos left a lot to be desired at lunchtime - I shudder to think what hey would be like later on at night.

Visited The Crown on a day trip to Bridgnorth. Had been in here a few years ago and found it was looking a bit tired. Ordered drinks and a couple of meals, the bar staff were quick to serve. The meals arrived in good time and we were told to watch the plates as they were hot, shame the food wasn't! Having the first mouthful of the chicken Tikka I found it to be freezing cold. I told the bar staff who apologised, offered me a complimentary drink and replacement meal. Not the best experience when there is a lot better to choose from in the town.

We have fone for Saturday lunch as a group of 5 with my partners family - we all said we will pick a different place next time. Service for drinks was slow to start with but mainly dissapointed with food ordering and the rest of the dining experience.We have placed our order that included 2 Mexican stack burgers, only at the end of the order when we wanted a side order of Jalapeno poppers we have been told they don’t have any and when i pointed out what about the ones on the burgers reply i got was ‘oh i didnt think of that’ we were offered to pick other topping instead and paid. When i returned to the bar to advise them what we want on the burgers - i was told jalapenio poppers were discontinued therefore we cannot have anything instead!! Wasnt happy as we already paid and was offered a substitute - to be then told otherwise. After speaking to the manager he agreed to have cheese put on the burger. We have been waiting for food 45 minutes ! ( we was not earlier warned of any wait on food) When food come out - one order was completly wrong and steak was waaaay overcooked, burgers were missing toppings and food looked like was sat on the hot pass for ages. I questionned the meal that come out wrong - the girl gone back to the kitchen and came back with some older lady in glases. The woman was extreamly rude pointing fingers at our food explaining what it is ( we knew what it was still not what we ordered) Then she told us if we want her to bring us a correct meal ( so what we originally ordered) we have to wait another hour as thats the wait on food !!!! They have made mistake to start with - new meal should be provided as priority !! After we et - went to the bar to speak to the manager as we were all not happy about all the above - i was told managet will see me - waited by the bar for 20min - manager kept serving other people fid not acknolege me at all and no one spoke to us at all so we just left So next time in Bridgenorth - avoiding the crown!!!

Specifically went in to ask what time food served until and was told 8pm, not 8pm unlessWe are quite or it's a miserable Jan night. Arrived at 7.30 to be told kitchen closed cos it was so quiet. VERY DISSAPOINTED .Went to WETHESPOONS had a lovely meal and they serve til the time they say they do. They will get our business from now on .

Lovely place to have food.Really nice and piping hot.Management are lovely and friendly same with the staff who work there.But they won't put up with bad language or bad behaviour.Lovely place to have food and drink.

Visited here with some friends to have food. Was near enough empty on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered food and it arrived within 20 minutes . I had the Route 66 burger which was really nice. I didn’t really like the coleslaw but there was nothing wrong with it-just wasn’t to my taste. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would go again!

Not only is the restaurant kind of shabby and out dated, it also can’t seem to provide 95% of the food it promises. If you’re looking to drink a scummy glass of water, then I would definitely recommend this place, otherwise I would stay away.

Recently popped in for lunch ,excellent menu choice,good drink & fantastic customer service. Food was cooked to perfection will definitely recommend to friends and family.

My friend and I regularly visit the Crown to partake in their two meals for £8.00 on a Friday. (12 to 5pm) I had fish chips and peas and she had the gammon & eggs. The meals are such good value for money and at that price it really isn't worth cooking yourself. We have found the staff to be friendly and will definitely be returning.

Myself and my partner came here on a Saturday afternoon on our outings and we called into the crown and it was jam packed so we had a lovely drink with polite staff who managed to keep on track of the busy afternoon. Whilst we had our drinks we decided to have some lunch. My partner had the 8oz steak and chips and was impressed with the lunch and I had the chicken wrap and sweet fries (cannot remember what it was) my goodness the chips were beautiful shame the portion for chips were small however a lovely dinner out! Shall visit again hopefully a quieter day!

We were a family party in Bridgnorth, early afternoon, looking for a lunch. The Crown didn't look too promising, but we entered the expansive premises - and there were only a few other customers so we had a wide choice of seating.The laminated menu was quite extensive, but we all found something suitable on their 2 for £8 deal - so with soft drinks all round a bill in the region of £25 for 4 - excellent value.Food was served fairly quickly and four empty plates afterwards showed we were all happy with our choices.Will be happy to use the Crown when next in Bridgnorth.

It was such a pleasure to perform at this place. Not only were the staff and customers so nice, the service was wonderful also. After performing i enjoyed a nice pint and some food, the food was full of flavour and delivered quickly. I wi definately be coming back.

Visited for breakfast what both a excellent services and wonderful food. Great quality and value Staff are extremely helpful and friendly well worth a visit.

Popped in for a drink before dinner.I wanted a strawberry gin,however they didn't have any!I settled for a violet gin and tonic,ok it was a double,served in the wrong glass but I had to pay £8.90!Considering Wetherspoons are literally opposite,who themselves only charge £3.80 for the same,I feel The Crown are certainly pushing more than just their luck!

Rude bar staff and over cooked food, would never go again. The are plenty of much better places to go in bridgenorth.

Went here with my family for an outing on a Wednesday night, was disappointed to say the least. First of all was greeted upon arrival with a blank stare from one of the workers (made me scared). Ordered a steak with chips with a pint of carling, turned up 1 hour later might aswell of ate the cow raw after asking for well done!!!!!!. Never again!. My kid ordered fish fingers arrived as sloppy fosh!

I came here a few weeks ago and ordered two meals for £9, which is quite cheap for a nice lunch. Upon arriving it was dimly lit and quite dark. It looked very dated inside and didn't look like a pub sitting down the table was uncomfortable and sticky. Ordering our meals took quite a while as staff didn't understand the 2 for 9 offer which was plastered on the menu and on posters in the windows alongside paper menu's on the table which offer. The meals took a while to come however were very nice apart from the fact my burger and chips were given to me in a dog bowl a literal dog bowl. I didn't understand if this was a gimmick of the place however everyone else seemed to have plates. We had also ordered brownie for after our meal which was forgotten about and we had to ask staff twice about the brownie after waiting 20 minutes we finally got a brownie which was hardly warmed. Overall the meal is nice the service and the presentation not as much.

Average food that took over an hour to arrive. Wasnt advised of any waiting delays.wouldnt be rushing back for such slow service

My wife and I went into the Crown, today at 12 noon. It was not busy and there was more than enough people serving behind the bar. We ordered two meals, one of which was Burger with Chips, and with that I ordered cheese as an extra.At 12.20pm, a member of staff came past our table with what looked like it might be our order, and took it to another table at the other end of the dining area. There appeared to be some uncertainty by the customers there, however the meal was left and the staff member returned to his duties. At 12.30pm still no sign of our meal, so I made enquiries at the bar and was told it was on it's way.At 12.40pm, a meal which looked like ours was brought out and taken to the next table where the people there said it was not theirs. We called to him and stated that it was very likely our meal and so it was. Except the burger had no chips with it, despite it clearly stating on the menu that it came with chips. We expressed our disappointment in the service and asked where the chips were, to which we were told that they would be another 5 minutes. By which time the rest of the burger meal would have gone cold. So we requested a full refund and walked out never to return. Whilst sitting there, we noticed one member of staff trying to fill two mugs with coffee to which he made a right mess, overfilling the mug and spilling some in the tray. Also we witnessed a member of staff walk past trying to carry too much, and dropped a opened bottle of cleaning fluid onto the carpeted floor just above the small set of steps. He then proceeded to rub the fluid into the carpet. He did however return sometime later with a Wet Floor sign, however in my days as a Health and Safety officer for local government, it was proper practice to not walk about with and open bottle of fluid that could cause contamination in other areas. In all, most of the staff looked like scholars doing a Saturday job. Obviously the large number 12 on the table, and the reading of the menu, is beyond their capabilities. WARNING do not go into this place there are much better eating establishments in Bridgnorth. This experience marred, what was up to that point, an enjoyable visit to the town.

Well, no complaints with the food. Considering the pub was closed for a refurbishment , much needed one, pleasantly surprised downstairs. Heres the BUT can someone explain to me, WHY something as important as the toilets remain untouched.No locks on doors. Toilet seats were absolutely disgusting ....All very well having ornate doors but privacy should be a keen factor.I wasn't the only person disappointed, to see that the cloakroom was as ever, been a let down for the Crown.

Just over £30 for two adults and two children to get a main course and a drink each was really good value.We had desserts too on top of that and they're a little overpriced when you compare to mains.Dog friendly which was a great find in a busy rural high street location.One down side was how long the bar staff took to serve you at the bar and how they didn't seem to recognise who was next. Having worked in bars I think knowing who is at your bar and who needs serving next is an essential skill.

Had lunch at the crown yesterday had to wait 45 minutes for a sandwich and a starter which when I got them was nothing to shout about had 4 small pieces of garlic bread which cost £4.50 if any one is thinking of having a meal here don't bother go to McDonald's

Called in for a drink before going to Kings Head. Wouldn't have been my choice but give it a go! Only a handful of people in there at 6 pm but most had there dogs with them! nothing against dogs but not on the seats! My pint of beer was very average, wifes cider was ok and the Hobgoblin that the brother in law and his business colleague had looked horrible. Hard to get a good atmosphere in an empty bar the size of the Crown, Probably suits the younger ones when the disco starts later on!

Didn’t read the reviews before I went my partner wanted to treat me out for lunch and this was my second choice of dinner out as we played a few games of pool whilst we there. It was quiet Monday afternoon and a pleasant atmosphere with all staff polite and friendly. My partner had the burger and chips and myself had the fish and chips it took 10 minutes to come to our table and there was NO FAULT with the dinner spot on and we both enjoyed our dinner - we shall return again very soon!

The pub is a total shambles, the the staff untrained and rude. Halfway through the first half of the match, the tv was switched from the rugby to football by some clown. The Crown was once a diamond in the town, now it is rough and ready.I don't know who owns the establishment but they should be ashamed of them selves and are obviously clueless.

Went for a quick lunch. Wasn't expecting the world in terms of quality but managed to get both of our meals wrong. The waiter was fine but when he got the manager she was very rude and told us we had ordered incorrectly, probably because she took the order. No apology, no remedy, only refunded our food. Disappointing food and management. Avoid.

After having a revamp the crown has defiantly changed. The food is so much better , the staff are friendly, the prices are more competitive and the whole experience is more pleasant. It’s a great social experience and still one of the only pubs in Bridgnorth worth actually going to. The only thing that lets this place down is the parking as you either have to park on the high street or round the back in the extortionate pay and display. Overall a great Local and it’s good to see it coming back to the way it used to be.

We stepped in to the crown thinking 2 meals for £7 was too good to be true. It wasn't. The food was basic but on a cold winter day filled a gap wonderfully. On top of that a pint thrown in for £1.50 and a soft drink for a quid. Two meals. Two drinks. £9.50. The pub was warm and welcoming and had a lively buzz to it. Thank you.

Went to this pub on Tuesday 5th December 2017 at lunch time. Myself and four friends ordered food we waited at least 30 minutes before getting food when it arrived there was only one person's food came out then waited again and again same thing happened I eventually got my food 20 minutes after the first person. I ordered a steak which I asked for it to be cooked medium when cutting in to it I found it to be rare and when I say rare it was very rare. When the bar staff were told about this there was no apology I would not go there again and wouldn't advise anybody else to go .

On Friday the Christmas lights were turned on in the town, we met with some family in the crown as they didn’t know Bridgnorth very well, considering it wasn’t very busy it took forty minutes to get served, two of the bar staff completely ignored me and my friend, the staff did not have a clue who had been waiting to be served and just kept asking who’s next.I will not be going to the crown again and would not suggest it to anyone else unless the want to witness the worst bar staff ever, especially the young girl with the tattoos, what a joke.

We were visiting Bridgnorth for the afternoon and wanted a quick place to have a sandwich for lunch. It was a quiet Thursday afternoon and our sandwiches arrived quite quickly. They were quite tasty and we had no complaints.

Positives: Good choice for 2 meals for £7. Clean restaurant area and spacious. Quiet, calm atmosphereMain meals not too big so at least there is room for pudding. Negatives: Wait a very long time for food after ordering. It you want to eat at 5pm, order at 4:30pm even if it appears quiet.

Went here with family for lunch. Nice atmosphere. Ordered drinks and food as was impressed with the food menu. Staff were friendly when ordering at the bar, the place was quite busy. We waited a long time for the food to be served. When it came the child's meal was great and the trio selection mum had chosen for £9 was good too. Then it came to my steak wrap and my sisters steak and chips. The steak on both meals was grisly, chewy and unpleasant. We mentioned it to a member of staff who quickly offered us to order something else off the menu which we kindly declined. Full refunds for our steak meals given. Can't complain as the staff member was apologetic and had no hesitation with providing a refund.

The food was amazing, Whetherspoons have got nothing on marstons, excellent service and food ever since the new ownership, I highly recommend this pub in the Bridgnorth area
