Website says dog friendly Called day before to check if dog friendly before coming and was told it was in one area. Arrived after a 30 minute walk to be told no they aren't dog friendly any more. Bit ridiculous really

Without a doubt, the worst pub I have ever visited absolutely disgusting and needs shutting down. Where do I start. The toilets stunk, were filthy, flooded with p*ss there was a rusty old cold only taps, no soap, just about mirrors half the drunks that crowd the bar, scruffy, rude and perverse. A male with specs seated at the bar kept on looking at all the young lasses as they approaches the toilets. Very shifty, people come out for a drink, not to be googled at by a creep. Turning to his mates and making rude remarks. The bar staff were friendly and polite, a shame that the pub they work in isn't as friendly. A lot of people on drugs, you can tell by their eyes and their demeanour. The staff turn a blind eye, likely because these are their regulars and without them they would struggle for money. The name crooked billet suits the pub as most of the folk looked liked crooks making the place look like a right dive, save your money and spend it elsewhere, AVOID THIS PUB.

Nice pub & beer garden .they did bbq which went down very well...some of furniture inside needs bit of repair though

Was fairly quiet when we went in, the service was good and lager tasted great.

Such a warm and welcoming pub, something different going on everyday. Nothing is ever too much trouble. A great place to be.

In tonight for the karaoke and disco Compare of karaoke never even introduced himself and never sang one song. Just kept filling the place with his vape in-between vaping he was checking how much liquid he had left An absolute disgrace Wouldn't advise anyone to come see this Ever Poor show

Popped in just before closing time fairly merry and the staff excellent and accommodating cannot fault them at all drinks were decent enough, though you should probably drop the Fosters and get a better draught lager selection.

The staff at crooked billet were great when we visited for a 21st birthday party, they couldn't do enough for us, will definitely be visiting again, well done everyone.

Nipped on on a Wednesday afternoon for a quick pint, it was rocking. Over 55's afternoon complete with singer and buffet. Would of been 5* but unfortunately was driving 😞. Would have stayed longer otherwise. Very pleasant place

If you need a local pub to book for a function I recommend the crooked billet. I was actually there for a funeral wake today, there's plenty of room, the staff are friendly and helpful and they'll lay on a buffet if required (for a price of course). There is on site parking although the car park is a bit on the small side.

Very tired in need of an update some outdoor seating had its day got up and the seat.fell to bits on the upside though the bar maid did give me a free blackcurrant shot in the Guinness I ordered

Shocking decor needs a massive refurb. Long time waiting for coffees and teas and when the coffee arrives there loads of scale in the cup.

3 course Christmas dinner for 9 of us and it was fabulous!!! The service, the atmosphere and the food wad 10/10...and only £11.95 a head. Proper home cooked food...was lovely!

Under new management. We held a wake there and the staff did the catering. There was soooo much food all freshly prepared and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The venue is in need of a little TLC but I wish them luck for the future

Well since the takeover the pub has gone right down. Beer tastes of the pumps , waiting for a pint, and the worst one WARM BEER !!!!!!!!

Popped into my local for a few beers and a game of darts wasn’t to be as the new management have started doing funerals and private parties in the bar come games room ended up having a not very cold lager then leaving and going elsewhere for the evening ,shouldn’t try fixing what isn’t broken,,the bar lads won’t put up with that for long
