Croft Fisheries in Nuneaton and Bedworth

Very nice chip shop. At Christmas they did battered mince pies and they were lovely. It’s a little more expensive than some others around but is a little nicer.

We ordered a haddock, a cod, a curry sauce and a large chips which came to just over 22 pounds. When we got home the chips we were given was obviously a small portion (we were going to share as a family of four) so we all had a small handful each. We paid a lot of money for the wrong order...not great. My haddock was nice, but my hubby said his cod was horrible. Won't be back.

Bought chips for me and my friend as it was a birthday treat. Best chips me and my friend have ever had. Had chips and scallop and row and chips. Chips were really tasty. Go here again.xx

We have always used this chip shop for years and years,we went in on Friday 26th August 2022,for our order the chips on the faggot meal were cold and the faggott was not cooked also we had 2 minced beef pasties that were uncooked and the pastry was raw, wont be using this place again

The best chip shop in Nuneaton! Every time I come here I have a battered sausage, chips and gravy and it is always bang on. Worth the money as it is all amazing quality food. Chips are always cooked perfectly and staff are welcoming and friendly. #BestChippy #ILoveCroftFisheries

£3.80 for the smallest bag of chips ever and there cold, my mate had a cheeseburger which he said were like hockey pucks and offered him outside the for a scrap how tough it was.

The chips were cold the battered sausages were bearly warm but the roe was hot as it was cooked while we waited, so very poor quality for nearly £10.00 second time the food was cold not going there again, as last time it was cold I called the shop to be told they had no other complaints.

Completed online order process was easy enough. The portion sizes are small, medium chips was a small portion. The fish was a decent size abs the onion rings was nice and crispy. Overall not bad but a bit expensive for portion sizes compared to the other chip shops.

Bought meal deal £4.20 fish sausage and curry sauce Got home it was like a kids meal. I had to go back out to get something else to fill the gap I ll never go back

Always look forward to our Tuesday treat after taking the children swimming. The food is always fresh and hot when we get it home.

Ordered 2 x fish and chips, sausage and chips and 3 cans of coke. Came to £19.00. Got home to find 2 x fish and chips and a poxy handful of chips separate , no sausage or cans of coke. Chips were cold too. Phoned the shop to explain and got a snotty reply off a lad who works there 'so, what d'ya want me to do about it'? Was his reply. Next time we go in we've been promised a refund. So that's money lost then. I knew we should've gone to Petes Chippy.

I always used the one on Croft road £1.99 for fish & chips, but this has gone down hill in my opinion. Someone mention Croft fisheries by Tesco express so we thought we would try it out. Place is spotless , staff are really friendly & OMG the fish is the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Husband said the chips were the same. Mushy peas taste like the ones we used to get years ago delish!! Won’t go anywhere else now

Staff were lovely and faultless. Place was clean, tidy and well maintained. Batter was nice but not impressed with the scallops or the tiny battered sausage for £1.50. They only sold one size, which was half the size of others fish and chip shops. Which for the same price, are twice as big for the same quality. I would have thought paying for more the sausage, would be of a higher meat/flavour content but no. Will not visit again as I thought they were expensive for what they are. I do not mind paying extra if the quality is outstanding but not here. Batter was good, light and crispy just disappointed in what you get for the money. Poor value for money. Far better fish and chip shops in Nuneaton. One visit and never again.

Come here all the time, great service, great food and great people. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for my chips.

Croft Fisheries is a great all round chippy. The food is always top class, fish and the chips are always fresh and tasty, The service is friendly and efficient.

Just had some fantastic chips and curry sauce served by friendly helpful staff. I will definitely be using this place again in the very near future.

Ordered and paid for large doner meat and chips. This is what I got. The meat looked and tasted like leather. And a couple of dozen chips. Never again .. Pete's chip shop next time it's just down the road.

Every time I visit ‘Croft Fisheries’ I am greeted by Alex and his friendly staff. Alex’ wife is also very amiable and whoever serves me they always go out of their way to accommodate my quirky requests. I care for a friend who has Alzheimer’s disease and because of this her meal needs to be in a bigger tray with fewer chips I no longer even need to ask. Alex, his wife or their assistants will just serve the meal how we need it. They always ask how I am and make me feel very welcome. The interior of the shop is extremely clean as are the staff and their uniforms. The food is always fresh, tasty and extremely enjoyable. I have never really eaten Haddock before but I particularly like the way Alex cooks it - Perfection! I am looking forward to trying the plaice next week!

Fuimos en 10. 30 y 2 bolsas de patatas fritas y salsa curry escalope. Ella hizo 1 bolsa entonces dijo: no es suficiente para 2 y no tenía más que cocinar un cono. Bolsa tenía un puñado de patatas fritas tenía 11 fichas! cono Salsa de curry fue nuked 1 minuto y estaba fría y me cobraron más de un fiver y qué patatas fritas que tenía era asquerosa. Nunca volver!

the people behind the counter always put your opinions in to view and the fish has a nice batter they matter about hygiene when serving every customer

Ahora, yo soy una persona que le gusta su fish'n chips, y tengo que decir que Croft pesquerías es difícil de superar. Todo el lugar está impecable, y el personal obviamente cuidado y orgullosos de su producto. Siempre me saludan por una cara sonriente, y nada es demasiado problema. He probado casi todo en su menú a lo largo de los años he ido, pero han introducido recientemente Halloumi buñuelos - son fantásticos! En mi opinión, proporciona gran comida Croft pesquerías a precios competitivos, vale cada centavo - ¡pruébalo! !

Peor chips en Nuneaton, no os molestéis. Pagamos £3. 40 para una salchicha y 6 patatas fritas! Robo a la vista! Fue tentado a ir a coger mi dinero pero me di cuenta de que no merece la pena el lío sobre unas patatas fritas malísimo.

I went to croft fisheries tonight to have a chicken kebab meat in a tray with salad. The salad was fine but the chicken tasted horrible. The chicken had been got from the kitchen and then warmed up in the microwave, it was dried and parts tasted quite fatty. I'd asked for bbq sauce but I couldn't taste that if there was some on it. I find it off putting that you can't see the kebab being put together fresh.

Always have been my local chippy and from all the others I've visited I'd definitely recommend, it's one of the best in Nuneaton. They serve great food and at a reasonable cost and I've never had any problems what so ever. The staff at croft fisheries are fantastic always polite and well mannered and always welcoming with a smile it's also very clean and hygienic every time I visit. Like I said I'd definitely recommend.

Normally we would have raved about this place, and never use anywhere else but after tonight I won't be back. Our order was wrong, we ordered a kebab large chips and a pie. When we got home we realised the pie was missing (after checking it was in the bag with the lad that served us) so we drove back, explained what the problem was to which the lad replied 'I definitely put it in' basically calling me a liar, I told him it wasn't there and furthermore the rest of the food would be cold by the time we came to eat it. The manager came over and said abruptly 'what's up?!' I explained again to which she rolled her eyes and said 'you'll have to do it again' after a minute or so of whispering from behind the counter the lad took our food out the back and shouted 'the pie is here' meaning wrapped with the chips. Which it certainly wasn't, as I unwrapped the chips before taking them back. He didn't actually show us the pie, funnily enough. When we eventually got the food home the kebab was average but the chips were dried up (like they'd been microwaved) and my step son informed me the pie was Terrible. Overall an awful experience, from a previously very good chippy that we've been using weekly for almost 4 years!! I was humiliated in front of a queue of people, whispered about and basically called a liar. All because of a mistake they had made. The customer service was the worst I've had the misfortune of experiencing. We'll have to find one that treats thier customers better. So long croft

I thought I'd stop off at Nuneaton for a quick lunch on my way back to London from a business meeting. There was a parade of shops with lots of free parking (which is always a bonus). I chose the first shop which was Croft Fisheries (a take-away). My fish and chips were freshly cooked. The batter on the fish was nice and firm and not soggy at all. The chips were great and freshly cut by the owner. Had a lovely chat with the couple that ran the shop whilst i waited for my food. Hopefully I have a few more business meetings up that way.

Lots to choice from. Good alround menu. Clean and tidy chippy. Staff on pleasant and quick to serve.

Bought a mixed kebab. Lamb okay but chicken disgusting cold and hard. Tasted like they left it overnight and didn't take it from the fresh roatiseerie . Really bad. Won't order from you again I'm afraid

We regularly have fish and chips from here and yes they are good! . . . . BUT nearly EVERY time they get our order wrong!! . . .like tonight. Ordered two cod and a large chips. Get home and only one cod. Not happy. On returning home my hubby was suspicious of this as he asked me how much it should have been. I'm so fed up of keep returning to this establishment (one occasion I met the other customer returning with our mixed up orders!) . . .it's just not on, sort yourselves out. Too many mix ups. Tonight was the last straw we've refused to waste petrol returning and shared the fish!!

This is my local fish and chip shop, five minutes walk from home. I use this establishment at least once per fortnight. The fish is always cooked fresh and is of a generous size. The chips are always plentiful ( sometimes too many). I am lucky to have one of Nuneaton's best Chippies on my doorstep.

As a regular customer for a number of years, Croft Fisheries consistently provides great food. With friendly staff who are very quick at completing your order. Definitely recommend to anyone!

Used this several times and its always a lottery. Sometimes its nice but mostly awful. Soggy chips and grey fish. Kebabs are usually very nice though.

Tried this place because the staff and shop looked smart and professional but looks can be deceiving food was terrible.

The annual visit to relatives in Nuneaton is never complete without a visit to this chippy, I have always said that you can always tell a quality eating establishment when you see the owner beavering away behind the counter in a busy shop. Croft Fisheries is no exception! Always served politely and efficiently by friendly staff with the odd chit chat with the owner when he has the opportunity. The food is always fresh and hot, just the way good food should be. We will return, WE ALWAYS RETURN YUM YUM!!!!

Been to this place a number times for fish and chips and it us brilliant.The price is reasonable, the staff are very very quick with your orders and always serve you with a smile.And most importantly their cod is sublime and their chips brilliant, I shall return!
