Crispy Cod Greek Delight & Pizzas Denton in Tameside

Only just had chance to write this but i was in on thursday and ordered a gyros and it was the best food i’ve tasted and way better than expected. The staff were so friendly better customer service than i’ve seen before in there, I will definitely be back. After being told they’re expanding their menu i cant wait to try it. Thankyou.

Crispy Cod in Denton is a lovely little take away. The quality of the food is excellent and there is a splendid menu to satisfy any appetite. The food is fresh and tasty and I highly recommend this take away.

This is one of the best chippies around. Cant fault their fresh greek food either. And their fish is always cooked lovely. 100% recommend and the staff are always so welcoming.

Our first visit as lot’s of chippys closed on Mondays. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and quick service!

Really nice take away food but as the lock down hit, prices almost doubled. Profitering. I will never use these rip-off merchants again. Don't use the excuse that you had to put prices up to alleiviate the corona crisis either, none of the other take aways in the area have done this. Hope you go bust.

Over priced. Poor quality food especially in a child's meal full of black, horrible ends of chips that were not edible, 4 chicken nuggets and a small fruit shoot (25p) this cost £5.99! Adult meal was a bit better but still would cost less in local chippy. Guess people hiking prices because of covid19 then sending poor quality meals.

I ordered 1 large fish and chips and a chicken gyros...When I got home, I was very disappointed. Did not leave me with a great 1st time impression of their food... The chips were mostly the crispy bits you get when the chunky chips are all gone. Well that is what I got mostly served with. The chicken gyros, was tiny bits of leftover roast chicken. Not even decent cuts or pieces of chicken. To top it all of how could they forget to include my mushy peas?? I won't be going back there again or ever...

We ordered this meal online as our regular chippy was closed due to the current crisis. The chips were amazing big chunky golden brown chips, 2 nice portions of battered cod which was very tasty. Lovely really mushy. Mushy Peas.A really good chippy. I would love to try some of their greek food. A good delivery driver working hard in difficult times.

I asked for fish cooked on the grill with no batter; this was no problem and the fish was cooked to perfection. I had this with a greek salad which was huge. The service was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

I ordered a variety off the menu as everything appealed to me! And I am glad I did it was all perfect the chips and curry was like traditional chippy and the gyros was like I was eating from a Greek islands I enjoyed it that much I visited days later and will continue to do so!! Definitely worth a visit!

We often have food delivered, and found this originally through Ubereats as we were becoming really jaded with the standard local takeaway fare, I love greek food and the Mr wanted chippy so it was ideal. He had the fish and chips and loved it, excellent batter, cooked well, tasty chips, mushy peas, bread and butter, perfect. I was a little apprehensive at first as we find that takeaways usually do one type of food well, but are not as good with a different type. My worries were baseless as I ate my gigantes and grilled halloumi with a pita bread. I had been transported to a little greek island, every flavour was fresh and distinct and the pita was soft, pillowy, and delicate. We discovered that they are not far from us, and now make the effort to actually go to the shop and try different things. We have recently had the chicken gyros - I am not a "things wrapped in flatbread" lover as I have had so many bad experiences with kebabs in the past, but remembering the pita from last time I was eager to try, and once again I was not disappointed. Every ingredient in the gyros was tasty in its own right, the chicken, the bread, the tzatziki sauce, the salad ingredients, and especially the chips, but all together it is food that makes you stop and savour. We are quiet eaters, but mostly heard from us were the words "oh my god, this is so good", several times - and we are fussy. We aim to try everything on the menu, but we keep getting stuck at these gyros and are not complaining about that. Eating as much take-out food as we have throughout the years, it becomes clear which establishments actually care about the experience of the consumer. Sure they all want repeat customers, but we get the impression the owner wants to share pleasure with everyone, in a similar way to when a grandma cooks for you. Last night we had been out to a performance, rang ahead on the way home and picked up our food, it topped off a great night out. We love that this shop is in our town.

Called in with my son on Thursday the 25th. Who is very fussy with his food. We ordered 2 kebabs and a small chips. £12.50. I asked for salad and garlic mayo on the dinner and chilli sauce on the mixed kebab. We waited a while. Which I like it's being cooked fresh. We took the order home and the doner kebab looked nice and fresh salad look nice. Although for 4.95 there was not much dinner meat on it. But on the mixed kebab which should have had chilli sauce on it. Also had mayo which he does not like and a few chips. That's not what we asked for.. Competition in Denton with takeaways is very high and there are plenty of good quality takeaways. So my son's mixed kebab went in the bin because he could not eat it. For the price I was expecting more. But sadly disappointed and will not return for kebabs. Although the fish and chips are quite nice.. Come on crispy cod we like to support local shops so try and get it right?.

I ordered the skepasti, but if your expecting chicken peppers tomato and lettuce on it then You better provide your own. A cheese mess is what you should expect with the occasional onion. Takeaways is always a low expectation but this one excels at being the bottom of the list. Don’t waste your money Maccas is cheaper and better and that’s setting a low bar high

Called tonight...20 minutes after opening. Chips were bone dry and crispy. Ordered 3 x barm cakes. ALL were freezing cold. They must have come out the fridge. Entire meal went in the bin. Not even edible. Will not return. Stick to what you know. Plenty of nice chip shops in the area. This is NOT one of them.

We have been on many occasions and have never been disappointed with the choice or the food. Quality ingredients and quality service, a must tried place as you will soon become a regular. Some staff could do with smiling but quality food and service out ways a smile.

I went here looking forward to a chicken gyros . I used to live in Greece and have been wanting one for over 10 years. well this did not disappoint , simply amazing quality food , you can taste it's fresh and the service was great ! only problem is now I can't stop going

Tried this place for the first time tonight, always apprehensive trying a new takeaway but the fab reviews swayed me. Ordered the gyros chicken platter that comes with pita, chips, sauce of choice and Greek salad. The meat was gorgeous and crisp not at all greasy, the salad was obviously freshly prepared and dressed, not the usual limp lettuce in a bag and even came with feta and olives. My partner had the large gyros and it was stuffed with meat, chips and salad. The food is clearly home made fresh produce which reflects in all the great customer reviews! A great healthier fresher choice if you fancy something other than the usual curry, Chinese stodge!

This place is amazing. The food is wonderful. Freshly cooked and the taste is unbelievable. The greek food makes me think Im back in Tsilivi Zakynthos on the beach having a GYROS. Def worth a visit. I love it and so do my family and friends

I have eaten from here 4 times in December after I discovered it! The fish batter is gorgeous and the chips are so fresh tasting and excellent quality. Then I discovered Chicken Gyros! Well that was a Greek delight, so tasty I now crave them I’ve been telling everyone about it and have a couple of converts now in tow
