don’t usually leave reviews but i have been craving a curry for weeks, and i ordered one and it came in like 15 mins and it is so delicious i could cry

Don’t bother with this take away it is the worst takeaway I’ve ever had no care and attention bland and just thrown together if you are a foody you can make this yourself don’t waste your money

King prawn dishes are a joke!! Price is sky high for one king prawn cut into ten pieces!! Last time I will order again!!

Absolutely dutty dutty food , ordered full mixed kebab, got loads chewy tough meat , fro. What they gave which wasn't enough , and they mainly gave donner meat , after day at work theese Egypts just topped it off won't be ordering again.......

Worse donnor meat I have ever tasted in my life if your not a big spice fan stay away from that donnor nan bread dry and boring if the food was as good as the service then they would be spot on but not for me

Ordered a keema kabab, there was literally a spoon full on it, I phoned the shop to tell them there was only a spoon full of keema on it, and that I had more salad than keema. His response was... so what you saying, you've got a snide portion... Heck yes! One spoon of keema on a big garlic nan 🙄 won't be ordering from here again!

Good food, good prices, take special requests, one of the best fills you up on a budget places in stalybridge, never had a bad experience with this place, reliable delivery times polite staff.

We have ordered from Bitish Raj for years and always loved it. Sadly our last takeaway was awful. We ordered a mushroom curry and it was disgusting. Tinned mushrooms which were chewy, slimy and inedible. Called the shop immediately only to be offered a free curry next time! They said they only use fresh mushrooms on their pizza's!!! spoilt our meal completely and having spent £36.00 we are not happy! Used to be amazing....last experience really bad....sorry guys you've really let us down!!!☹☹☹

Food gone down hill, used to be a nice takeaway but standards have unfortunately drooped, food quality is now poor like they're buying cheaper less quality ingredients and the donner meat is now the one some takeaways use which is the cheapest, no taste, just very chewy and fatty. Food arrived cold on the last 2 orders to. Shame really.

Thought we would try this place chips was warm I had the peri chips tasted plain poppadoms was good and chutney curry did not have a lot of flavour rice ok wife had shashlik kebab meat was nice but Nan was soggy

accepted a payment when they wasn’t even open phone call 15 minutes after placing order whilst i was outside staring at a closed takeaway refund took 6 days to come through

Wow! Tried by chance on way home from a snooker match! The Chix Madras was the best I've had in such a long time. Right amount of kick! Wow! Lamb tikka starter very tender too! And the Nan! So Fluffy and soft! Absolutely smashed it guys! Thank you! My new go to place for Indian food. 10/10

Worse takeaway I've had in a long time. Took 1 hour 45 minuted to arrive, kebab was cold and the chips were half cooked. My daughter was starving. Won't be ordering again which is a shame as it's usually our go to place!!

Cheap pricing which is good. Chicken burgers are average. Currys are pretty decent. Good service staff are kind and like to have a laugh ... waiting area does need tlc

Not as good as it used to be. Chips were hard as though they had been reheated. No need for that with frozen chips!

Terrible service. 2 meals were ordered.They forgot one! It was in the car apparently. A new meal was requested and with much reluctantly on your part,the driver returned with the original meal which was cold! We then called back for a refund, and the person on the phone did not offer a refund,as he said we had already eaten and had the food over an hour, which was not true. Not a nice experience really as the food isn't the best to be honest and small businesses should be grateful of the custom in these difficult times. In a word: NEVER again. Boycott.

Last time we use this takeaway, Food was stone cold on delivery and nothing like the standards we were used to, we will look elsewhere for a better option.

Don't order from here. Used to be nice but not anymore. Bad attitude and wrong orders on 2 separate occasions. I purposely asked for no cucumbers and plenty of sauce and salad on 3 kebabs only to find the opposite. They also sent me crushed poppadoms and then argued with me saying they resent them out which they DID NOT! They would only take £4.50 off the order which is not acceptable.

Service was good, though the food didn't agree with me, not sure whether it was certain ingredients or the chicken as it had a rather tough texture to it. May have just been a busy evening but food not as tasty as it used to be.

Dependable Curry house, been here a very very long time, remember going there in the late 90s in my teens. Love the Chicken Tikka Mr. Naga. One bit of advice I'd give though is please put the popadom dips in a cool bag when you do a delivery.

I feel bad leaving this review as this place used to be my favourite place but last 5 times the food is chips and nan are undercooked raw and arrive wet and soggy I rang they apologised offered fresh I declined and said was just informing then it happened 4 more times it’s not hard to cook chips properly or even put them in a paper bag not a plastic tub that makes the undercooked food sweat so when it arrives it’s mush Ive just had enough tonight I waited an hr for food to arrive cold wet and soggy I’ve asked for a refund let’s see if I get it

Disappointment again! Thought I would try them again after having a kebab from them 6 months ago which was cold, sloppy and had little actual content and when I got home (four minutes later) I had EXACTLY the same experience! I called them to inform them about their very substandard kebab(s) and the guy "Ali" was quite indifferent, he did offer to "sort something out" next time I come in but I won't be returning. I said that I ordered a medium strength sauce but the one on my so called food was hot to which he replied that they make their medium sauce by mixing their hot and mild sauce - that's like making rose` wine by mixing red and white! This place was very good a long time ago and I thought my bad experience six months ago may have been a one off but it seems that they are now producing constantly bad kebabs.

Absolutely swimming in grease!! This was Donner meat with salad, never have I had grease coated Donner meat, chips were far too salty and inedible, pizza was ok but extra toppings that were paid for were missed, tray base was hard lard. Unfortunately it's a definitive never again I'm afraid

I have ordered from British Raj for years and never been disappointed the curries are delicious, always have lamb madras and the lamb is always tender and plenty of it, as is the nan bread the order is always on time and the delivery guys are always polite

Just had my first ever British Raj Curry recommend by a friend and he wasn't wrong the lamb was amazing so tender and melted in my mouth it was worth every penny service was great aswel think this is my new favourite curry house from now on be very hard to beat that

Just had the worst takeaway we have had in ages, was late so chased it up to be told the driver had a puncture, well he turned up not long after an said they were busy, food was luke warm an to be honest could be a lot better, will not be going back anytime soon

I am a simple guy with simple needs I just walked in this place the other day for a pizza I was welcomed by a very nice guy who took my order right away no messing about we had a little chat while I waited a few of the delivery guys walked in both said hi, this place has a good little atmosphere the pizza didn't take to long to come and when I got home it was still hot and tasted fantastic I will be trying the currys from here soon. Customers service goes along way 👍

Best takeaway in the north west hands down! My dad is a food inspector and after inspecting this place (and leaving an excellent review) he brought us food back for dinner. It was absolutely delicious!! So good had to drive all the way from liverpool to see the place, guys, the fact that you can see the food being prepared and made right in front of your eyes (something barely any takeaways do) is absolutely outstanding! They aren't hiding anything like everyone else and are willing to show how freshly cooked everything is as well as how greatly hygienic they are! Highly recommended, trust me if my dad being a food inspector recommended and loved this place, then you will too! Abz.
