Cricketers in Harrogate

Can only give it a 1 star as we didn't stay after we had travelled 2hrs in our motorhome and had pre booked a parking space. Upon arrival in the congested and compact car park with a caravan parked and a mobile food van it was very difficult to A, Navigate the car park and B, Find a pitch. It's advertised on Motorhome Web sites and there's even a video showing numerous motorhomes parked up but unfortunately we were unable to see where we would be placed. I went into the pub and explained that I had infact booked a space. The lady said " Oh we'll move a car." I politely declined as I felt the car park was far too congested to safely leave our vehicle . I understand the car park is free but having pre booked and travelled it was more than an inconvenience.

I can't comment as I was only dropping off, however I would say I was driving a limousine at the time and dropping off my passenger's was straightforward due to the more than adequate space in the Car park and the ability to renter the road was good. Thankyou

Great pub, very friendly and lovely beer garden overlooking the cricket pitch. Stayed overnight in my camper, quiet and relaxing night.

Main issue here is food not served very often. Boards outside say daily food. Not so. Will alter my review if they sort out the food situation Shame as venue is good. Plenty of seating outside. Beer garden overlooking cricket ground and woods. Cost, £1/10 each, as no food whenever we visited, Have now had message from owners to say they don't serve food now and signs have been removed 👍

We have had a lovy evening in The Cricketers. The staff are friendly as well as the locals.

Went for lunch today and were pleased with the service and food. We had he Gourmet Burger which came with side salad and chips, fresh coleslaw & mayo. New Management very friendly & it's nice to see the pub busy. Will definitely be back.

Stopped overnight in our motorhome absolutely a gem of a pub , so welcoming and friendly we will definitely recommend and return.

Great place,service with a smile,clean facilities. Landlady is lovely as was the barmaid. Lovely friendly place. They serve a great pint and warm pork scratchings are delicious. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended

Sat outside overlooking the cricket pitch. With the sun shining it a fantastic venue for a beer in the sun. Staff were super friendly.

Great place to stop for a pint, especially in summer. Lovely garden area to catch some sun and either watch a live cricket match or a game on their outdoor TV. Plenty of covered areas as well if the weather isn't in your favour! Staff are lovely!

Best pub in knaresborough and surrounding area. The pub quiz on Friday is a speed quiz and such good laugh followed by bingo or play your cards right. Brilliant for football and sports and will not get a better beer garden with outside Tv for summer. Staff are brilliant especially Abbie who is always friendly and remembers your orders. Definitely worth going anytime of year 😀 danyell the landlady has made this into a amazzing place to drink and socialise all year round 👌

Fantastic place with lovely staff. Abbie the manager was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Russell was lovely and friendly too. Danyell the landlady and her partner are very good host and nothing was too much trouble for them! So glad we found this place!

Stayed here overnight in our Motorhome last night with friends. Great pub with lots of choice and good prices, fantastic outside area, landlady and staff very friendly and helpful will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended

Lovely little gem of a pub.. Has a pool table and a beer garden.. plenty of screens to watch sports, beer garden with and outside tv for games… outside pool table And outside bar for the lovely summer evenings… car park at the side and opposite a bus stop!! Staff are very friendly and accommodating.. always happy and nothings too much trouble

Travelled from Bridlington to pick my son up from Knaresborough and thought I would watch the Leeds v Man United match whilst waiting for him to finish work in Harrogate.I had to write this review as I was so impressed with the Landlady what a lovely lady from when I first went to the bar,she was so welcoming.I had lived in Knaresborough before moving and never been in the pub before wish I had now.This lady is always busy cleaning,serving and always nice,she even apologised for the swearing because of the football not that there was much.Beer and customers were great fun as I watched the match on my own.Thanks I will be back again😁😀👏👏

A fantastic local pub. And one of the best bonfires around. No crowds just good old fashioned bonfire and a bar and a whole cricket pitch where the kids are welcome to play!

Visited on 4 occasions last week and due to the excellent weather sat outside in the garden overlooking the cricket field. Service excellent, everyone following covid rules. Well worth a visit.

Since the new landlords have taken over, this place has had a massive refurbishment and made huge improvements. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the selection of gin is excellent. Decent price for what you get, it's a great place to meet for a few drinks and even better in the summer out in the garden

Dropped in to the Cricketers for Lunch today as heard the bar snacks were good. Was certainly not disappointed - wide range of sandwiches and light lunches available all cooked from scratch and more than ample portion size, the best burger I've had in years! Extremely welcoming staff and great beer/wine. Will definitely be returning and highly recommend to anyone looking for a really tasty pub lunch, good drinks and welcoming atmosphere.

Really nice traditional pub. The beer selection is very good and the food is basic pub food which is well presented, big portions and well cooked. The all day breakfast is recommended. The landlady is very welcoming and friendly. Worth a visit!!
