Fabulous food and a lovely atmosphere. They had taken the time to work out which dishes I could eat due to being gluten and dairy intolerant. Great choice of food for everyone.

We came across ‘Cribbs’ upon visiting Falmouth to see our daughter, a MUST visit when in Falmouth. The food was absolutely incredible, we had the Jerk chicken and will 100% be visiting again. The flavours were magnificent. Thank you.

Fancied something different, beautifully presented fresh food, lovely lively atmosphere with excellent service. Family with picky kids & all plates cleared. Cocktails quite nice too..

What a terrific meal. 3 very tasty courses. Attentive staff and truly delicious food. Fish soup & golden mussel starters recommended, as was the ice cream / sorbet desserts.

Have been going to Cribbs for many years and visited today for lunch with my Daughter and Granddaughter. We have never been disappointed. The food is amazing and John is an excellent chef!! Good value for money a great atmosphere and staff always friendly. Would recommend everyone gives this Caribbean restaurant a try

Don't be put off by the basic/authentic Caribbean decor, this is a properly good restaurant. My starter was an open brisket beef taco, & whilst I may not have liked the presentation/method of delivery, the flavours were incredible. I then had the red snapper, which I had previously in Jamaica (awesome) and then in Greece (much smaller fish, so not as good), this was a proper fillet (similar to Jamaica) and was just superb. Give this place a go and expand your culinary horizons, it's brilliant.

We paid £10 for a pint of lager, small portions and the bread with my soup was a joke; a piece of sliced brown bread cut diagonally with a small packet of butter! Then they kept my change that I had to ask for, and they then gave me the wrong bill! This is the first time I've been moved to write a review.

We went to Cribbs on the last night of our holiday. We shared the bread and dips to start which were lovely. However my mains which was the halloumi jerk was way too spicy and was just burning my throat. I can handle a bit of heat but this was the next level. Unfortunately this ruined it for me. My partner had the salted fish and said his had a kick but not as much as mine. Perhaps they should ask how spicy you would like it.

Popped in about 11am so had brunch, which was very tasty. We checked out the lunch and dinner menus and felt disappointed that we would not be around to try these. A great cafe, loved the music and the very friendly staff especially our charming waitress Sadiye.

Food ok, although very expensive. Went here for a 2nd time and it was again tasty, it felt very expensive for quite basic cooking. Service is good, cocktails interesting. Although won’t be back due to price

We stopped here for coffee and cake only £5 each.. lemon drizzle and a vegan, gluten free banana and cinnamon cake .. both were lovely.

An unimaginative, mediocre tasting curry broth. Hardly any liquid broth or Caribbean curry flavour . The tofu tasted dreadful . In my opinion one of the worst Caribbean meals I had. Pity, I was really looking forward to eating a vegetarian meal here.

We had a wonderful meal at Cribbs on Saturday evening. All our meals were very tasty and full of flavour. The ambiance was stunning and the staff were very friendly. We shall most definitely return in the future.

We were lucky to get a table on a Friday night. Best food we had all weekend. I had the snapper which was very tasty. Defintely one to visit in Falmouth.

Nothing like Caribbean food. Turtle bay is better! Jerk chicken tasted nothing like jerk chicken and was just hot chicken. Food came before cocktail within minutes, so obviously precooked and just microwaved. Portion was tiny. Had food in the Caribbean and cooked for me by Jamaicans and this was nothing like either.

Superb food with lots of great flavours. We tried a mixture of meat and fish dishes and they were all great. Definitely felt like an authentic Caribbean experience. Even had Caribbean lager!

Stopped in for some coffee and cake after walking out of a neighbouring establishment. Met with a genuine warm smile, attentive service and a overall positive experience. Think we will return for dinner at some point.

The food was really tasty, arrived quickly and hot. They were clued up on the distancing measures and had have sanitiser for use on enter. The bucket of treats is so tasty, the coconut in the prawn was delicious, the pork belly too. Service was good.

Caribbean heaven! The food was just delicious we had the pot of delight to share to start with which was a mixture of Chicken, Pork , Squid and Prawn with a fiery dip!The mains were delicious, very well cooked; the jerk Chicken was fiery, but not so that you couldnt eat it. My Salmon was bursting with taste.The place itself was relaxing and friendly with attentive staff and the decoration was cheery and trendy.

Eaten here twice now and both times the food has been amazing. The place is a really cool restaurant with good beers and spot on service. We will be back !!

We had a good experience here, the meal and service was very good, we had booked, but didn't really need to, there would have been a table spare for us.We both had fish cakes, which had a touch of Caribbean spice to them, it was good, followed by Goat Curry, which was simply superb, the best goat curry I have ever had.Caribbean food at its best !

Garlic ciabatta for starters, very juicy and tasty. We then ordered two jerk chicken dishes. On the plate there was coconut rice, green beans, plantain and mango chutney. The jerk was well seasoned and thought through, the right amount of spice vs sweetness. The green beans were cooked to perfection with a little bit of crunch. For cocktails we had one carribean queen and one banana pina colada (not actual name). Both cocktails were well made with the right amounts of liquor in. Would strongly recommend visiting this gem for something a little different!

Came here 6 months ago and had amazing jerk chicken , and I mean proper jerk chicken ! Couldn’t wait to go back, had a couple of awesome cocktails and we had jerk chicken burger and salt fish, both were lovely.Nice size portions, well cooked and great atmosphere in the place Highly recommended

I went here simply because I couldn’t get in the place next door (it was a Friday night).I thought the food was very good and for the price, extremely so.The staff were all rather charming and friendly and to be honest, I couldn’t really see why this place wasn’t as full as the place next door.I would certainly recommend it here.

A nice simple menu. Polite and attentive staff. The salad was fresh and also freshly cut. The food had good flavour and it felt like we’d eaten a healthy meal upon leaving. Fairly priced too. £10 for jerk chicken and rice Recommended

mientras estábamos de vacaciones, vinimos aquí para un sándwich a la hora del almuerzo. la comida estaba muy bien presentada. Tuve un sándwich de atún de mayo que era excelente, servido con una ensalada adecuada (no solo lechuga floja y tomates sin sabor!). Mi esposa tenía una papa chaqueta con chile y lo disfrutamos muchísimo. con dos cafés excelentes, una parada en boxes totalmente agradable.

We popped in for lunch as the menu looked good and we prefer to spend our money in local shops and cafes rather than large companies. We had a jerk chicken burger that was a cold sandwich chicken put in a burger bun. The nachos also came with a few strips of cold chicken on them.

There is a list of twenty original Carribbean cocktails to choose from, and served by a woman who loves cocktails and is happy to explain them all. The menu is a variation around burgers, but replacing burgers with pulled pork, and replacing buns with sour dough bread. There are also some stews and curries on the menu. The pulled pork is well cooked and the sauce is delicious. Even the salad has a few extra ingredients that make the meal exciting and worth visiting.

Four of us visited Falmouth for lunch - looking for something a bit different from the ubiguitous Cornish pasties or fish & chips. We found it at Cribbs Café Bar. It was pretty quiet at lunchtime, and, judging by the décor and posters advertising all-night Caribbean cocktails, it really comes to life after 10pm.

Return visit after having many very good meals here but I felt something was missing?

We arrived to Falmouth late on Saturday night and we chose Cribbs because "Caribbean Street Food" sounded interesting. And that was our best decision ever! The stuff was very friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. We came back few days later and it was amazing as well.

I had never eaten Carribean food so was looking forward to it.I loved it! The food was so tasty with spices. It was well presented and the portions were very generous.The staff are very friendly. There is plenty of seating and a small seating area outside.Well recommended!

Just visited Falmouth and found Cribbs by chance, possibly the best Jerk Chicken I've ever had especially as my wife is half Jamaican (I could die for these comments) the kids had a Smoking bun burger, pulled pork nachos and the wife had Akee and Saltfish. The guy behind the bar was excellent very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Thank you WE WILL BE BACK.

Great selection of Caribbean food, the chicken Roti were brilliant and the rum selection is the best I have seen. Great place to sit and watch the world go by

Seemingly spoilt for choice of fish restaurants in Falmouth we thought that we might try something different, and my wife and I were certainly not disappointed. This is fresh food, beautifully prepared and with a Caribbean zing. My wife and I were amazed by the experience. If you try it I am sure that you will agree.

Our second attempt to eat here after going to the cinema. The first time we arrived at 20.50 and were told that the kitchen was closed. Closing time was 21.00.Tonight we arrived at 20.30 and we're told that the kitchen was closing at 21.00 and felt harassed.The meal was ok - ribs and a minuscule portion of sweet potato fries. We ordered plantain which was actually fried banana. I've had plantain in the Caribbean and I know the difference.

My wife and I are on holiday and came into Cribbs to look at the menu. I was quickly drawn to the Cuban burger and the endless types of rum!My wife is vegetarian but quickly settled on the curried chana. My burger was melt in the mouth and so so tasty! One of the best burgers I've ever had and right up there with Johnny Rockets in America. My wife commented that the curry was the best food she has had in a long long time!The food took a while to come out but I think that proves everything is cooked fresh and it is well worth the wait!!I'm enjoying sipping a rum and my wife is enjoying the cocktail menu. Cribbs is amazing and a must try!!

We went in for lunch, chose the veggie burger and the spicy lamb burger. The wait for the food was longer than anticipated although the rum cocktails were excellent.The food when it eventually arrived was really delicious. Would we return of course. Having eaten in both the Cribbs in Falmouth there is nothing to choose between them.

Went for lunch on a Sunday - great curry wrap and good service. Kindly wrapped up what I couldn't manage to eat for lunch the next day. sensible pricing for very tasty food

Excellent today, had a gorgeous lunch here, with jerk, sticky chicken, wedges & macoroni pie.(my macoroni is still the best tho).. well done to the Irish guy who looked after us very well... he did my rum punch extremely well(fussy bajan I am too)..... we will be back chaps!! This is a more laid back street food vibe unlike the other Cribes which is more Caribbean finer dining but both owned by the talented John Duncan.... 9/10 today

First the good points, the place is clean, my jerk chicken was very tasty, coffee was good,now the not so good points, wife's lunchtime special was very tiny , she was still hungry so had a slice of cake which was dry and a past its best, there was only one waitress who was struggling, poor girl was doing everything, as a result the service was slow, also it was freezing inside. It was a shame as we had read good reviews. Maybe it was just a poor one off !!

I had lamb curry with rice and peas which looked and tasted delicious! Good sized portions and great value. Cocktails are mainly rum based and were 2 for 1. Look forward to going again.

Amazing food, and a huge choice of cocktails, a must try for anybody who likes the taste Caribbean. I can definitely recommend the Jerk Chicken Nachos, they were so good! Me and my girlfriend, who is half Caribbean, absolutely loved it, we will definitely be coming back again soon. Also, the friendly professional service provided by the guy working behind the bar was second to none. Thank you very much again!

Wandering around a near deserted and almost closed Falmouth it was pleasing to find Cribbs open. We had the jerk chicken and the curry.Great food nice staff

The staff were so rude to me and my friends, looking down their noses at us just because we are younger. We booked ahead as it was for my friends birthday and they obviously can not handle big bookings. Forced us to pay extra because 2 people didn't come. Fair enough a certain amount of food was prepared but the staff were not even polite about the matter and made it all far more stressful than it needed to be. Especially for our friend as it was her 18th birthday!Food wasn't anything special either. Wouldn't recommend.

Popped in for a quick bite. And was pleasantly surprised with just how nice the food was we had the calamari a side order of fries and a jerk chicken and avocado burger it was so tasty and nothing over cooked. Good value for money and the bar man/waiter was knowledgeable and friendly well done well worth the visit

I love Cribbs as I love Caribbean food( I'm half bajan). I love the restaurant on Arsenal street but I do like the restaurant on the moor for a less formal eating, do more street food here, but one of the best rum punches I have ever had in Cornwall!! Not as good as barbados I'm afraid tho.. the owner john is a nice, friendly, charming man too!!! See u soon

Came here for an evening meal on our second night in Cornwall. Lovely service and excellent food and drinks menu! Had the lamb curry which was gorgeous, the lamb was tender and just the right amount of spice. Bar tender was excellent too. Would definitely visit again!

Wonderful food.. I had the calamari... so good I had two plates!! My wife a vegetarian who doesn't like spicy food was,none the less delighted too...the CHIPS were Superb! Did I say the Calamari was wonderful? It was! I then "tested a few of the Rums...so good We returned to try again!! More Rummmm!Two wonderful evenings "we" felt part of a family as everyone staff and customers joined in... Well done Joey and crew superb!!

We really enjoyed the food here. I had the Saltash and my wife had the meat curry both was delicious but was disappointed with the portions. Also both dishes had very little pieces of plantain. Despite all this I think we will be back as the food and service was very good and the atmosphere transported us to the Caribbean. If you want a full belly it's not the place to eat but saying that it is worth a visit if you don't mind small portions.

My wife and I visited both Cribbs in Falmouth and both are awesome. The food is really really great and worth every penny. The atmosphere is friendly with great background music. Highly Recommended for a meal or a few drinks to relax!

Authentic freshly cooked dishes served with a smile. This place serves good mouth watering portions at a reasonable cost. Our children loved the place for somewhere different to eat. Will visit again!

Came for my birthday and loved the food, the service was good and there was a large variety of drinks on offer too! Lovely range of food on offer including lots of different sea food.

I went to see if I could have flavour without heat as a gluten free customer. I was the only one there and ordered chicken nachos etc and said I didn't want salsa or the chillies as I couldn't take the heat. My food took nearly half an hour....I was the only customer. I had a Diet Coke which was literally full of ice not just a couple of blocks. The food was prepared beautifully and looked lovely but as I continued to eat the chicken it became hotter and hotter. I would have loved to have eaten what I paid for. I managed to eat half of the meal. I left the rest told the waiter my concern and he just asked if I was ready to pay the bill?... So I paid full price for half a meal. Bit expensive and not very thoughtful of the chef.

Cool setting, great menu and very good value. Staff seemed a bit pushed at lunchtime so a bit of a wait for food. Worth the wait though, not huge portions but really tasty. Would recommend a visit

The restaurant had become a family favourite after our first visit around 2 years ago in which we were extremely satisfied with both the menu choices and standard of food. Since then we have always made an appearance every time we are down in Falmouth visiting family. However our last visit we were very disappointed, the menu had clearly changed for the worse. It seemed that they are just trying to mirror the menu from there sister restaurant, Cribbs and consequently loosing there identity as a cafe/bar that we always found perfect for a light lunch with explosions of flavour. We still look forward to visiting again and hopefully the standards and variety of food will be returned.

We ate here on a wet evening - the decor and music was great - but we found the food disappointing and expensive for what it was. We both had a vegetable roti - mine was burned on the underside and consisted, it seemed, of 90% sweet potato. I didn't find any other vegetables and there was very little goats cheese. We did receive a 5% discount without asking as the curry sauce was made with rice instead of lentils because they had run out of lentils. The sauce itself was very tasty and was the best part of the meal. We were the only people in there the majority of the time so there wasn't a great feel to the place but I understand that the bar gets lively late in the evenings.

Went in after the Christmas Lights switch on ceremony for something quick and easy to eat as previously enjoyed the food at Cribb's Restaurant up in the main street earlier in the year. Whilst the barman/waiter was friendly, he had to ask again what food we wanted as he'd forgotten and then when he brought our drinks my partner got Guinness instead of cider. When our mains arrived it was a bit disappointing. Whilst my partner said the burger was fine it was nothing to write home and "not as good as The Shed or the Meat Counter and more expensive", the Jerk Chicken Nachos were the worst nachos I have ever eaten. The salsa and guacamole weren't homemade and tasted like the over-processed ambient ones that come in a jar and are sold in the crisps aisle of supermarkets, there was hardly any melted cheese and what was meant to be jerk chicken on the top was just slices of reformed rubbery chicken that had a texture like they'd been microwaved with no seasoning at all. The barman/waiter did ask if everything was ok and I said I wasn't enjoying the nachos and explained why and whilst he apologised there was no offer to exchange them, knock them off the bill or a free drink and I'd only eaten about 20% of them. My glass of wine was £6.50 so at £28.65 in total it was a pricey mistake all round. Shame as we live locally and there is a nice relaxed atmosphere in there but we won't be going back or recommending it.

Called in for something to eat after visiting the local cinema and what a pleasant surprise, the food was very tasty. Enjoyed sharing excellent calamari and fishcake plus some beef chilli nachos all was down with a bottle of pinot grigio. Will definitely be paying this place a visit again. Bill £36, great value.

Had dinner here a couple of weeks ago. Can't fault it! The best calamari I've had this side of the Atlantic and jerk chicken to die for! So many flavours on one plate! The wine was lovely and the selection of rum is a delight! Service was excellent and the atmosphere was great considering it was a Monday night. I would highly recommend you try cribbs. I came here with my other half for lunch on a wet Monday before going to the cinema. Both of us loved the vibe of the place, the waiter was really friendly and helpful which made thE experience even better. As it was lunchtime we didn't want a big meal so went for the Rotis.... The lamb Rotis we both had were delicious. Would definitely come back if I was in Falmouth again.

I has a jerk chicken on the bone. With rice and peas and plantan. Was delicious and reminded me of growing at home, South london. My wife had the curried lamb and said it was good. Wish we could get the curried goat down here and patties would be lush too. Also had a lamb rotti on one of my luch breaks and it good food for the day.

Decided to eat here whilst on holiday. Menu looked interesting - so we went in & ordered burgers & drinks. Only 1 other table was occupied at this pointOur drinks arrived - and then so did lots of people for a 21st birthday party!!! All the other tables were quickly cleared away to leave a dance floor.At this point the barman came over to us & asked if we'd like to move upstairs where it would be quieter.We did this - the food came - we ordered more drinks & then we were completely forgotten about. The party had taken overIn fairness the food was very tasty - but when we went downstairs to pay - the party was really going and there was a big queue at the bar. I waited 10 minutes but could not get anyone's attentionI guess we could have just walked out without paying - but I'm not like that - so I spoke to the doorman & eventually he got them to give me a billI could have given a 1 star rating - but the doorman said they had no prior knowledge of the party. We did enjoy the food & we do have a tale we can tell our friends

We wanted a mid week meal out and decided to try Cribbs as it has been recommended to us before. The café bar is really relaxed and homely, the staff are great, very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. They looked after us and we had a fantastic meal. Good value too. the rum bar is amazing and the guy behind the bar knew his stuff. Took our 10 & 6 year old boys for lunch , sat on the mezzanine level overlooking the cocktail bar which kept them amused . Lovely chilled atmosphere listening to reggae music , nothing was too much trouble , even making "mock tails" for the kids. Food took about half an hour but when it comes you understand why , WOW , all cooked from scratch and full of the flavours of the Caribbean . Curry in a roti was gorgeous ! Special children's menu too.

We noticed this bar on walking past and noticing the words gin bar on the side we walked in to the bar and strait away where greeted by a gent behind the bar who was there working his first shift the member of staff talk us trough all they had on offer and we said we would be back later for something to eat we did come back later and this time a lady staff member greeted us and sat us down. And because of the conversation we had earlier about Hendricks gin and tonic I had this and my gf had a lemonade made fresh in house in front of us. we ordered and where told she would come around with everything soon. we waited 10 min and are order arrived and the sandwich was just amazing and and the drinks where beautiful and showed that the staff new what they where talking about when it came to there menu and drinks the food was served on a large tray and really had a rustic steetfood feel to it witch suited the theme of the bar once we finished our meal we where asked if everything was ok as well as being Asked by both staff members if all was ok but we whernt however given or asked about coffees or deserts and if we would like them this was a shame as I would of stayed if this was offered in a menu to us as it wasn't we left but felt that we would return very soon with our family to eat and drink again as this place is a gem and the best place to dine and drink in Falmouth 5 out of 5 star the only thing they could improve on is more detail given to customers things like service table seed and menus and nearing and greeting.and side plates handed out if shareing ? Other than this it was perfect

We had a great impromptu lunchtime at Cribbs. The food was fabulously fresh, hot and tasty. Service was very friendly and attentive. We couldn't fault the whole experience. Try it. We can't wait to go back.

We expected big things from this restaurant and as a group of friends all with Jamaican roots we know what want. Firstly the cocktails are very good, always a winner.To start we had scallops cooked to perfection and the sharing starter, the belly pork was fantastic as was the spicy chicken but the prawn in coconut was a strange combo. The kids mac and cheese was an absolute winner, possibly the best we have ever tasted......ever!Main course was lamb curry, now, this wasn't as I had been lead to believe by the waitress, I asked was it the " lamb carry" in coconut milk she said yes.It wasn't, it was more like the curry goat recipe but with lamb instead which was delicious just not what I thought I was ordering. The Rice and peas was rather tasteless but the sea bass on spicy rice was wonderful as was the fried plantain and the belly pork which just melted in the mouth, heavenly.I can't wait to revisit and try the rest of the menu, and some more cocktails of course!

Called in for a late lunch, no trouble to the young lady who greeted us. Seated us, poured drinks gave us fabulous pulled pork tacos & then proceeded to get her own lunch. Strictly speaking we were on overtime for both her & chef. That I really appreciated, try this place out & you won't be disappointed.

I was expecting great things from this place, but was sadly disappointed. I went on a Sunday evening just after opening time and found the place to be lacking in atmosphere, service (although I think this was down to shortage of staff, rather than the waiter/barman in question) and value.

Really friendly staff and a fun Caribbean theme. The food was nice and spicy. The cocktails were pretty good too. we went in the afternoon with a small child when it was fairly empty, I imagine it fills up in the evenings for more of a pub/club vibe.

We have just returned from our second visit to Cribbs and I thought the last time was good, but this time it really was amazing food, service, style and atmosphere. The soup was a party with every mouth full and then I had ribs for main, just simply delicious. The whole table of 8 didn't leave a mouth full, starters, mains and desserts. Happy food served by happy people. Go !

Went in on the off chance and had a box lunch of plantain, rice and peas and it was freshly cooked, gorgeous flavours and perfect for a lunch in the go! Staff were very friendly and helpful!

We were looking for something for lunch on a short visit to Falmouth, and were attracted by the promise of something unusual and interesting. We were not disappointed. We ordered spicy squid with salad, and a grill Halloumi wrap, with two Jamaican ginger beers. The plates arrived quickly, and we were served with a smile. With Bob Marley playing, and a nice, Carribean decor, we enjoyed our tasty lunch and left happier than when we arrived. A sure sign of a restaurant worth recommending!

A good selection of yummy cocktails. I was particularly impressed with the decorations, very pretty drinks. The staff aren't particularly friendly but I felt like they were focusing on correctly making the cocktails. -Which was an interesting process to watch.Will visit again.

Have eaten here a couple of times now, and both times were a great experience.The food is really tasty, and good value for money as it is very filling :-)The bar itself has a lot of character and authentic atmosphere.if it wasn't for the English weather you could actually believe you were somewhere in the Caribbean....The staff are always very polite and helpful.The only downside is with the sauces available with your food ..... Mayo or ketchup..... Didn't see any Caribbean type sauces .... Like reggaeor chilli ..... Needs more zingy sauces

Stop at Falmouth, we only have time for an hour to drive further, and we had a drink here. It was more or less like a bar than cafe. The staff was very friendly , we ordered the Cappuccino and we could see he really made it by heart. A nice short time here.

Tend to go here with a few friends as its our favourite place to chill together. Relaxed vibe and great music cocktails, lots to chose from!

By chance found Cribbs and thought a Caribbean lunch would be a nice change. The decor is nice and retro, though it is evident it is a bar foremost. Honestly wonderful simple food and good size portions. Between 2 of us we had chicken wings, beef chilli tortillas, wedges & crispy squid. Did not take too long to arrive after ordering & the only glitch was that the chap serving us forgot to bring my partner water twice, but nevertheless was pleasant and chirpy. Over all I would say Cribbs is a fun little place to grab a bite for a good price & look forward to returning for more scrumptious food!
