Came after parkrun because of the reviews and wasn't disappointed. What a charming little cafe. Excellent bacon & poached eggs on sourdough and flat white was just what I needed.

I so much wanted this to be a positive review after a good experience but I'm afraid this isn't it. Came here with a friend after reading so many positive reviews, but we were both really disappointed. The coffee wasn't at all pleasant. Weak, milky and had nothing going for it. We had cake and pastry and neither were tasty. Both were dry, almost stale and didn't come close to what we would have expected. Maybe my standards are too high, but after having experienced cafe culture across Europe this was a real let down. I was hoping this would be my go to place for the future, but that isn't going to happen.

One of my better decisions - came here Saturday lunchtime while my son was playing hockey at the nearby Crystal Palace sports centre. Had a lovely French toast and coffee, enjoying the calm and friendly service. Looking forward to more nearby hockey fixtures - plan to sample everything on the menu!

I love this little place near the station. Best coffee on the hill. Recently opened their sister shop further down Anerley road. Rustic and kitch interiors. Always friendly with a range of quality coffee and delicious food and beautiful home made cakes. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful little find, just across the park from the caravan park where we’ve parked our camper for the night. I’m always going to love a cafe that has its own dog welcomer! Gluten free coconut yoghurt bowl, freshly squeezed orange juice and a lovely coffee - perfect breakfast. We’ll be back.

£6.80 for a hot chocolate and cake. It’s not a competitive price against other Crystal Palace coffee shops and some of them are on the high side. You can only charge this price if hot chocolate is actually melted chocolate as part of the recipe somehow otherwise not of value. Good ambience, layout of the place

Wonderful, inventive bakery and relaxed coffee space on Anerley Road. I’ve been here I don’t know how many times, just to get away from it all for an hour. They do very good coffee, great salads and light lunches, but the main draw for me are the incredible cakes and pastries they make fresh. There is always something different on display, with some firm favourites on repeat - like chocolate tarts and caneles - that go down so well with a macchiato or just a cup of tea. Also, their resident boxer dog is an absolute sweetheart who will trudge up to you for a stroke before going back to her bed and observing the customers. Will be coming back many, many times

I thought this spot was absolutely charming. Excellent menu - lovely eggs benedict! Delicious cakes too. It's directly opposite Crystal Palace railway station and on several bus routes. Bravo!

It took us a while to check out this place but since we did a few months ago, we have become regulars. The interior is very welcoming and if you enjoy feasting your eyes on lots of little curiosities like plants, artwork, vintage cups and saucers then you'll enjoy this place. There's some gorgeous vintage clothing as well, reasonably priced too. It has a lovely atmosphere which is created by the owners who are welcoming and engaging. There are many homemade cakes and pastries for me to have but those I have tried I enjoy and keep going back for. If you appreciate a good sausage roll you'll find this to be the best in the area! Do I spend too much of my money in this cafe? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. Besides, you can always walk off a few pounds across the road in the park, when you eventually get around to leaving.

It’s local, has character and is a quality place. Service good and friendly. Coffee very good and loved the cakes. What’s the problem? None - it deserves to compete alongside the other independents in the Crystal Palace triangle in terms of location.

The coffee and cakes here are sensational. I'm serious about coffee; it is an obsession. I source my own green coffee beans, roast them and work hard to be a good barista. Hence I am always dissatisfied with coffee 'out'. I fell upon this place while waiting to pick-up my wife from the hospital yesterday. It is the best prepared coffee I've had out in recent years. The one that came close cost £8.50 from a Michelin star restaurant. The only down side is that I need a better excuse to go back! The service was great too. Keep-up the great work.

Visited for brunch on Sunday and the Turkish breakfast feast was absolutely delicious and plentiful for 4 adults and a 3 year old. Highly recommended. While we were there, there was a small film production shoot going on which was wonderful to observe and my daughter was invited to be a part of since it is her area of study. A unique and pleasant place to to visit and have some lovely food. We will definitely be visiting again for a delicious breakfast/lunch.

I love this place and have been coming since it opened but the last few times I’ve been, I’ve had to wait around 15 mins for a takeaway coffee. Staff are getting stressed and flustered, mixing up orders and on two occasions they simply stopped taking orders because they’d got so behind (but didn’t explain this to the waiting customers). I’m sure they are trying their best but it’s awful to see customers walking out. Such a shame as I really want to continue to enjoy coming here, and the coffee is great! I like supporting local businesses and want to see them thrive. Not sure what the problem is - maybe the kitchen is too small to cope with all the food orders or perhaps the staff need dedicated roles eg. One person making all the coffee. Maybe the menu is too diverse for that little kitchen? It would help too if a staff member perhaps explained that there would be a long wait due to it being particularly busy, and then we could decide whether to leave the queue. I’m putting this review on here in the hope that the owners will see it and make some changes. I really hope it improves.
