We went inside and sat down with our dog and got ice cream the gelato was amazing we will definitely come again friendly staff and dog friendly

On so many times we have visited so called "coffee shops" only to be served something akin to dish water. There no danger of that happening here, these guys serve coffee of the finest quality and there ice cream (available in a wide range of delicious flavours), is simply superb. Great coffee, great ice cream, great cakes, and dog friendly, what's not to like !

The food, drinks and ambience are all authentic southern Italy.We visited for the first time today after being strongly recommended it. We weren't disappointed - we both had the lunch aperitivo. Absolutely delicious, I tried the Crodino (a drink I'd not heard of before) and it was spot-on - it tasted a little like an alcohol free negroni.We then stayed for dessert - my wife had a hazelnut ice cream (best she's tasted in England apparently); and I had a couple of mini canolli (a favourite of mine) and they were good too.Thoroughly recommend it

Stumbled across this amazing place one evening, the best ice cream desserts ever. Lovely and clean, really nicely decorated. Both of the owners were helpful and welcoming. We will return, the strawberrys and ice cream were so delicious

Came here for the 1st time today, the staff is super and friendly. I wasn't sure which flavour to pick because it has lots of chocolate options which I can't eat. However the mango flavour was the BEST ONE I ever had soooo I definitely recommend this place, just sorry I didn’t take a photo because I digged in straight away.

This small cafe is a wee piece of Italian heaven in Scarborough, with superb homemade ice cream, sundaes , cake, great coffee and unusual soft drinks from Sicily. Friendly service and great food what more can you ask for .

Stumbled upon this excellent Italian cafe on the way down to the harbour. Best ice cream in Scarborough - proper Italian ice cream, not the rubbish overpriced mr whippy stuff found on the sea front. The Tiramisu ice cream was amazing and we will definitely be back. Just like being in Italy.

We are always visiting here as the gelato is sensational. I had honeycomb and bounty it was delicious as always. They are always so kind, helpful and patient with my youngest son who isn't the most decisive he had bubble gum and fruits of the forest. That was equally as delicious. I always thought the harbour bar was the best but that was before I visited crema e cioccolata. Also the canolli is to die for. If you want to go to a family friendly place in Scarborough with a relaxed vibe and impeccable service this is the place for you.

This place sells the best ice cream I've ever had. The owners are so friendly. All the ice cream is made from fresh ingredients on the premises. We even got to help make some once! It's always a favourite for our family.

Absolutely love this place! An absolute gem! Always visit when we are in Scarborough, no matter the weather, you will get a warm and friendly welcome here, the owner is such a lovely man. The BEST ice cream we have both had, I had the Jamaican and it was absolutely gorgeous! My partner couldn't choose, so had 2.. :) The coffee is exceptional and we had a fantastic chat about Italy and the new taster menu with the owner. We will be back in summer for more ice creams and an evening platter/drinks, as the shop now opens later and offers quality and authentic drinks too. BELLISSIMO . x

Fabulous Italian bar and gelato place. Best Gelato we have had for ages. The Jamaican (choc rum and raisin) is the best ice cream flavour I've ever had. Really friendly service. Very definitely Italian. Really good value. Will have to go back.

So happy we stumbled across this absolute gem of a restaurant whilst visiting Scarborough! We were offered a taster style menu of tradition antipasti dishes and each one was truly delicious! It was more of an experience than a meal and my whole party loved it. The two owners are so so friendly and took the time to explain where all the food came from and the method of making the dishes. They also told us the story of how the restaurant came about which was really interesting. I would love to go back in the evening and have a few drinks from the bar. The best bit was saved until last..the homemade gelato... OMG, literally incredible. We have already spread the word to the rest of our family who plan to visit. Thank you for a great experience!

We love this place. Discovered it in summer and have been back to eat-in on a rainy day. Today, we had three, two scoop gelato - chocolate, cherry, Roche (think Ferraro Roche in gelato form) fruits of the forest, Biscoff and Bounty. They were all Delicious! Coffee was fabulous too.

Genuine Italian gelato, proper coffee and cakes - what's not to like. The location on Newborough is just behind the sea front and similarly just down from the main are of the town centre but its so worth walking a bit further to enjoy a friendly Italian welcome.

We came in when there was no chocolate gelato available, and instead of asking us to leave and come back later, or hassling us into ordering things we didn’t want, he kindly let us sit in and wait whilst the ice cream was prepared in a back room then made into a delicious sundae - it was just as delicious as it looked!!

This place is heavenly. The staff are amazing and passionate about what they do. The gelato and coffee are faultless. The Knickerbocker Glory is massive and the stuff of which childhood memories are made.

What a find! Real gelato served by a real gentleman. Friendly service, several (about 20, I forgot to count) flavours including dairy free options (fruit flavours). Also serves coffee & cannolis but I didn’t try them as I picked up a kilo of gelato to take away. They are participating in the UK Eat Out to Help Out scheme if you sit inside (M, T, W in August 2020).

We stumbled on this by accident and I'm glad we did. I had the hazelnut flavour and it was amazing. 2 of the kids had mint, choc chip and vanilla and they were equally as good. All homemade too. My sister couldn't decide which flavour so they gave her samples to choose from. Amazing service. Highly recommend. We all ate it too quickly to take a photo.

Excellent Gelato and friendly staff. It was the first time my little daughter tried gelato and it didn’t disappoint, she loved it! We had a two scoop tub and tried Amarena Cherry, strawberry and peach. The cherry was so good we had it twice.

We discovered the wonderful ice cream here last year on a visit to the area and so had to seek it out once again this year. This time around we not only indulged in the ice cream on our first day in Scarborough (when I spotted on the sign that they also sell it in larger quantities) but we went back on our last day in order to bring some home. On that occasion we decided to sit in for a coffee and mini 'cakes' first (which were also delicious) before choosing what we took home.As others have said, it can be tough deciding what flavours to choose but they will always allow you to try something if you are unsure.My husband is a Rum & Raisin fan and can highly recommend that but he has also found both the chocolate and salted caramel to be equally delicious. Personally I would recommend the Amarena Cherry and the Hazlenut.Word of warning, don't take it onto the beach in the South Bay or the seagulls will try (unsuccessfully) to get it - they have obviously heard how good it is!!!

The most delicious handmade ice cream with a massive choice of flavours to choose from. My favourite is Cherry but it is difficult to choose, the lemon is gorgeous too very refreshing! Friendly and welcoming staff, small seating area where we enjoyed a cuppa after our ice cream. Definitely recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed.

This place is amazing! We popped in at the weekend and the ice cream is delicious! Creamy, fresh, variety of amazing flavours and I could of tried them all! The owners are so lovely and make a real effort to chat to you and make you feel welcome. Forget the rubbish ice cream on the sea front and get yourselves here!

Just visited here and it was honestly the nicest Gelato I've probably had, and I've been to Italy twice!Luckily that isn't a bad thing to say as you can tell this is an authentic Italian place and the guy working there was lovely and helpful.Would definitely come again and recommend anyone coming to Scarborough to check it out.Much nicer than the ice cream places on the seafront and very reasonably priced.

Can’t rate this place high enough!! Absolutely the best welcome and outstanding coffee, the owners of this cafe are so friendly and such a lovely atmosphere and they have some fantastic murals on the wall!!! Don’t pass by without trying their coffee, true Italian style! We will be back!!

Despite lousy weather, a thoroughly enjoyable ice cream which improved my entire day. Couldn't see prices on display, which made me a bit nervous, but when it came to the crunch I was asked for a smaller sum of money than I'd dared to hope. Can't wait until I'm in Scarborough again! Why do so many other establishments NOT provide ice cream this good???

Called whilst on holiday and had a coffee and ice cream courtesy of our daughter. My wife went as far as to comment that it was the best she'd ever had and I must admit it's along time since I'd had any as good. The co-owner informed us they make all the ice-cream on the premises. He was also very friendly offering tastes of the available flavours. All our choices were great and I'd be happy to recommend to anyone.

The usual coffee shop that our friends usually visited was closed...so we found this one by accident. What a find! It is now our must go to place for coffee when we visit Scarborough. The coffee was perfectly made - two Americanos and two Lattes...all good strength and perfectly served. The cafe also serve ice cream and other customers were certainly enjoying thiers...and we noted vegan ice cream was also available. The seating area is quite small, so you might want to plan your visit at less busy times.

I had a cone of rum and raisin and vegan peach ice cream--both were delicious. The vegan selection was fantastic and the quality of the gelato was second to none. Chatted to the man behind the counter who was very friendly and telling us about his home life in Napoli.

Outstanding coffee specially imported from Naples! Fabulous pastries and excellent service from the charming owners. Even a guitar propped up against the wall inside which customers can play. This is a real treat when visiting Scarborough - do not miss it!

Went here today and had a chocolate vegan ice cream . The best ice cream I have tasted . Really friendly . There were a 6 flavours to choose from which means a definite return visit whenever we next are here. This is like being in Italy for ice cream and tastes divine.

We normally try to fit in a nice ice cream at this place when we visit Scarborough but today we opted for a coffee and a chill. My husband had a mokka & I had a latte and they were great lovely taste and hot hot hot We also have some complimentary biscuits which added a nice treat. Would we go here again .....most certainly and we would highly recommend them for both ice creams and coffees. The atmospheres is very relaxing and the service is very customer friendly they are so cheery and polite SO when is Scarborough don’t just walk by give them a try you won’t be disappointed that’s for sure.

Just passing and noticed this delicious shop. Plus it does on line orders and delivery. The lady makes some of the chocolate in the shop. You are offered a tasting as soon as you enter. Bought lots of loose hand made chocolates so far they are excellent

After a day spent on Filey beach we fancied some nice ice cream and remembered Crema. They very kindly allowed us to take our dog in as well. Enjoyed a really good latte and a fantastic hot chocolate. Then the main event...two Eton Mess sundaes! SO good!! Very friendly atmosphere and staff. Will be visiting again soon.

My wife loves ice-cream when we are abroad - but seldom enjoys what passes for ice cream in the UK. 'Crema' is an exception. The young man who runs it is passionate and experimental when it comes to ice-cream and his concoctions pass my wife's most exacting standards. Too easy to pass by without noticing, it is a business that thoroughly deserves to prosper.

Been here many times, never disappointed, the owner very helpful. Ice cream exceptional, try before you buy coffe and hot chocolate. Vegan choices Dog friendly. I had the Affogato Al Cioccolato, highly recommended. Reasonable prices and takeaway. icecream.

We wanted a good quality ice cream milk shake and found this place. The family/locals also seemed to be having ice cream in here so that was a good sign. However, it was a really hot day and it was really, really hot inside this cafe/shop. By the time it came-good things take awhile to make....we were boiling. It was a good job we were drinking something cold as I was ready to leave. So my review is that the ice cream quality and selection is excellent but dont go on a hot day and perhaps the manager/owner could buys some fans???

We recently had a holiday in Scarborough and went to this cafe twice for ice cream.

My first visit to this fabulous gelateria. Spent some time trying to find an alternative to whippy ice cream and found this gelateria. I've visited Italy many times and eaten the gelati but have to say this is really good ice cream. Not only that the cones are good too and the price and servings are great.

Forget the usual boring choice of strawberry, banana or chocolate milkshake that everyone offers - the choice here is limited only by the ice-creams on offer! I've tried them twice. The first was peanut butter and the second time I went for mint - fantastic both times. The ice-creams are amazing and there's a good range of vegan options and sorbets available. The range changes regularly so there are always new options to try out.

This is the place to go if you are vegan/dairy free in Scarborough for ice cream! Not far from the beach and had about 5 vegan ice cream options (as well as dairy options). I had the vegan strawberry ice cream and it was absolutely delicious! Really made my weekend to be able to have a seriously good ice cream cone at the seaside, would definitely recommend!

The most amazing ice cream I have ever had and all the family agree! Coffee was excellent too and very friendly people. I will visit Scarborough just to go there as it is so brilliant.

We take A trip to Scarborough every summer and always call here at least twice. The staff are so lovely and welcoming, the ice cream is always delicious, we have never once had a bad experience! Our favourite go to flavours are salted caramel and Nutella and lemon but my daughter this week tried green apple and yellow peach and they were amazing, just the right balance of sweetness and tart with really strong flavour. I think it often gets overlooked because the cafe isn't on the front but I hope more people realise what a gem it is and either take the tram or tackle the hill, its most certainly worth it! ☺

We came in for ice cream today and I got to say it was one of the best ice creams I've ever had! I had a chocolate and a caramel ice cream and it was to die for! The Italian man who served me was so nice and welcoming and he let us try the ice cream before buying, I can deffently see this place going a long way and I will recommend it to anyone!!!

I went there for the second time the other evening when I drove over to Scarborough. Both times the Italian coffee was the best coffee ever! The first time I went I was given a taste of their beautiful ice cream which is made on the premises. The two Italian guys who run it are so friendly, I must go back in the daytime to sample more of their lovely ice cream.

The vegan ice cream here is amazing. Its my go to treat in scarborough. Lots of flavours to choose from but the Mango is to die for. The guy who makes the ice cream is so passionate about his ice creams its a treat to discuss it with him too.

This is easily the best coffee and ice cream shop in Scarborough. The atmosphere is authentically Italian, the coffee is excellent and the ice cream is sublime.

Delicious ice cream hand made by a charming Italian man, don't go anywhere else! Vegan/dairy free options available. We tasted hazelnut, coconut and peach - all delicious. Available at the super cute Seastrand cafe under the Spa Bridge, which we would also strongly recommend!

This ice cream parlour/ cafe has recently came 3rd in the UK for the best ice cream, and quite rightly! The two Italian guys who own this place make it on site, amazing flavours. The last time I was here I took along some friends- instant converts! The hot chocolate is so delicious and thick , the cakes are scrumptious! They also do vegan ice cream as well, and if you’re unsure which flavour, they offer you free samples.

The only true Italian ice cream finally in Scarborough. Several flavours whitin which amaretto is my favourite one. Not to mention the espresso caffe' that helps me not to miss Italy.

We absolutely love the ice cream here, in fact we made the trip to Scarborough just so we could visit! The two gentlemen running the shop are very warm and friendly. The Gelato is incredible, we ordered lemon (vegan), salted caramel and Nutella and we were in heaven. Very reasonably priced too. We are already counting down to our next visit!

Fabulous gelato made on the premises from ingredients imported from Sicily. Very generous portions too for £1.80 for a sugar cone.

Visitando Scarborough ci siamo imbattuti in questo angolo italiano. Abitiamo in Inghilterra da qualche anno e siamo stati attirati da I CANNOLI e le CODE DI ARAGOSTA! Rarissimi o quasi impossibili da trovare nello Yorkshire, abbiamo quindi deciso di entrare!Il bancone dallo stile di un italianissimo bar ed un'ampia scelta di freschi e saporiti gelati! Ci siamo sentiti un po' a casa! I proprietari sono italiani e conoscono bene la qualità dei loro prodotti! Cannoli e code di aragosta farcitissimi e deliziosi e i gelati davvero buonissimi! Tanti complimenti!

Apart from the genuine, Italian warmth and great service, this gem of a place is extremely vegan-friendly: there were six dairy-free flavours to choose from. Oh, and the ice cream is buonissimo!

The ice cream was good, although some flavours were better than others (tiramisu was amazing, chocolate... not much). The guy serving ice cream was very kind, letting us buy ice cream when he was about to close and letting a kid having a scoop for a discount price! Visit this place :)
