This is really a review of Opentable, not the restaurant, since the latter was closed when I turned up with my confirmed booking. It appears to have closed permanently a while ago. Opentable are poorly run, do not check their links and waste people's times. Opentable never reverted to me after I sent them my comments. I shall continue to seek compensation. Generally, avoid Opentable and book directly with restaurants.

The food and drinks are are consistently good but the service lets it down every single time. For what you pay, its excellent value though and always a good option for a group of friends. Second time we went to Crazy Homies. First time was very nice (good atmosphere, good food). This time was very disappointing. Service was very very poor. Grumpy girl who didn't seem to care at all. Cocktails and starters (ceviche) were nice, but the main courses (enchiladas, burros) were very boring. We were looking forward to this dinner, but left very disappointed. The service fee of 12.5% is also out of proportion (not worth the food or the service). Will not go to Crazy Homies again.

The decor was cool, I like the style of the place and the food was pretty good. We were the only people in there at 6pm, but the service was pretty disappointing... took ages for our plates to get cleared, to get the bill (30 mins after we finished eating) we asked for recommendations and the waitress couldn't make any. The churros were really good. I'd go there again for casual drinks, but wouldnt rush back for dinner. Not bad, not great

The food and drink was, as always, delicious. Unfortunately the rude, arrogant and unhelpful waiter/manager (beard, glasses) spoiled an otherwise fun evening. He actually had the audacity to accuse of me lying about calling earlier to request an upstairs table. So not only did my call get ignored, I was mistreated for having a specific table request.

We booked a table for five through Open Table but when we arrived we were told we had to take two very small circular tables adjacent to each other, that were bolted to the floor so we couldn't even join them together. The service was shockingly bad. Drinks took 30 minutes to arrive (it was just a lemonade) and we were told this was because there was only one bartender on duty. The maître d' (if you can call him that) Jimmy wasn't very interested in the fact that we were unhappy at the service and just said that this was because they were short staffed. The waitress who brought our order couldn't identify what we were eating so we actually started eating the wrong thing before we realised and swapped. The food itself was really good, but there is no way I would ever go through the stress of eating here again. We had to enquire three times to three different people where our desserts were and then we were told that the kitchen was short-staffed also. Not good enough. From crappy tables through to disinterested waiting staff I would not recommend this place to anyone, which is a shame because when the food did arrive it was very nice, but the damage was done and the evening kind of ruined for us.

The food was terrific but the size of the restaurant makes noise a problem. There was a raucous table seated behind us that not only dominated the noise of the room, buy also seemed to take precedence over the remaining tables. The wait for food was excessive and the single bartender was egregiously slow to fill orders. So much so, our second round was comped. I would try it again if I lived in the area but it was a bit of a disappointment given it was our final meal in London.

I had a stool to sit on and was constantly being rubbed against by waitresses due to the lack of space between myself and another table. This place was busy and hard to get a table, last night was quiet; Quality of food is way down to what it used to be. Service is nice and the place is cool, just need to bring back the freshness of the beef tacos which are now way too chewy and stale, as was the rest of the dishes. We had guacamole and chips to start, which weren't warmed up or home made , the guacamole was expensive and the serving very stingy. We then waited for about 40 mins for the waiter to come back and take our order again. We ordered mahi mahi tacos and the vegetarian taquitos. First things first, the presentation was awful , as if the food had been literally thrown on the plate, and it took a very long time to arrive, however the portions were generous. The taquitos were fine, no complaints there, but the mahi mahi did not seem fresh, we all noted. All in all, it was a 5 out of 10 and I wouldn't return.

Impressive selection of tequilas and cocktails are matched only by the deliciousness of the food. So overdose on the chunky Guacamole and you will find what true happiness is. I recommend getting a margarita and ordering bunch of dishes to share with your friends. Me and my friends recommend trying these with lashings of guacamole; Yucatan Ceviche, Melting Pork Picadillo and Spinach, Sweet Potato & Goats Cheese Tacos as well as I think you should try their churros to complete your meal. Crazy Homies is another one of those great Mexican food places in London that is far from the beaten path. Although noted as being located in Notting Hill, in reality it is quite a ways away on Westbourne Park Road. In practicality, what that means is that it is going to have to make it on the basis of the Westbourne Park locals, and since it appears to have been doing just that for a number of years, it can be inferred that they are doing something right.I made the trek based on the online reviews and was rewarded with an outstanding lunch. I would classify it probably as being closest to TexMex in style, but no matter, what was offered (cheese enchiladas, beans, rice plus three varieties of salsa and guacamole) was excellent. In particular, the guacamole dip was some of the best I've had at any restaurant anywhere. This was definitely a calorie bomb meal, so bring your appetite. The only thing that maybe isn't so great are the crazy prices, but given the neighborhood and the quality on offer, it is probably to be expected. Another poster below mentioned that staff that seem to be sitting around alot, intently focused on their iphones. I observed that also, but I'm prepared to cut them some slack because of how good the food was. I'll be back.

This place looked quite cool from reviews online. Went for an early dinner at 6.30 on a Saturday. Was empty when we walked in which was fine as we just wanted to catch up over dinner. The decor is cool but the seating is quite uncomfortable and after walking around London all day it wasn't the comfiest place to sit down for dinner. Suddenly people started pouring in and we were sat next to a large group of loud people. The seating is all quite close together so we couldn't hear a thing each other were saying. It seems more of a lively, lots of drinking and shouting kind of place which just didn't suit what we were looking for. The food was average, not the best Mexican food I've had. and portions were small - I was hungry about an hour after. Service was moderate. It took me a while to finish my beer and kept getting looks and stares from the staff as if they were waiting for us to leave. It was a shame we had to rush dinner and sit in silence because the atmosphere isn't really the chatting over dinner kind.

First, I have no issues to raise re the food, very enjoyable menu, good ingredients and high quality grub. Have been here in person and have visited numerous times - no complaints. The décor is cool, the place is set up well. What needs to change, however, is this mentality of hiring these stoners/hippies in an attempt to look trendy. These guys care more about how well their cap is aligned on their heads, checking what is trending on twitter and saying "awesome" rather than giving customers the what they need - attention, promptness and a general good service. Its not an enjoyable experience when you have to ask your waiter for absolutely every little thing - to bring the menus, napkins, side plates, cutlery, to clear the table, to bring the desert menus, etc whilst they are busy checking their facebook news feed...have an "awesome" service first and then you can act trendy.

My wife and I live near Crazy Homies, and we have previously really enjoyed it. When some family came in from out of town, we thought it would be great to bring them. Unfortunately, the experience was not good...and is emblematic of a noticeable decline in quality over our past few visits.

This time, it took us (quite literally) a half hour to be served our drinks - and the restaurant was not even very crowded. On top of that, they forgot to bring us water, which we asked for three times. The drinks are good, once they come.

It was only after this half hour wait that we were asked if we would like to order.

Secondly, we had to modify one of our appetiser order because a member of our party has a food allergy. We were told that this would be no problem, and the waiter wrote down our request. However, when the food came it still had the allergen so some of our party could not eat it.

The main meals were good, as they always are. The quality of food is high.

Overall, I like this place....but it's getting worse and worse. The service is quickly going downhill, which makes it less and less desirable to bring guests: it's too much of a risk.

We came here for lunch and it was a bit quiet, I think in the evening there would be more of an atmosphere. The huge taco basket of salad (including lettuce, black beans, guac, cheese, mushrooms and sweet potato) was delicious. The Baja shrimp with pineapple relish in home made soft wrap was fantastic. Everything we ate was lovely and fresh and generous portion-maybe a little mild but we eat a lot of hot food so maybe it is to cater to all. The cocktails are super tasty and there is a huge tequila menu for connoisseurs. It isn't cheap here..but the value is good, it is just tempting to order several dishes from the menu and with 3 dishes and 2 cocktails we had spent £45...Would highly recommend.

I went here as I read its a buzzy place however it was just too small to even sit! We were a party of four and it was sweltering! Also I think maybe they should change the menu so its only bar food as the table is tiny even for 2 people.. only big enough for drinks. So when our food arrived we were worried it would fall off the end! Also the table behind us was too crowded, they kept pushing my partner and knocking into us which was annoying. The staff were nice and took our orders correctly. Food was ok.. but I think it should just stick to being a bar!

I had late night drinks at Crazy Homies recently, there was alot of tequila, my liver was in pain the next day. The place has a fun vibe with furnishings to match its name, a good crowd of people the bar staff were nice and service was quick, a thoroughly enjoyable evening unless you were my liver then maybe not so much, but that's nothing to do with Crazy Homies.

O Crazy Homies não é apenas um Tex Mex como todos os outros: decorado com bom-gosto, boa música, e bem frequentado, é um ótimo lugar para comer bem, tomar ótimos drinks, e passar um bom momento. Muito recomendado.

Food was tasty, with good portion size. The service was great as well. We ordered a mix of tacos, nachos, ceviche, salad and was pleasantly surprised that it as all tasty and was good sized to share. I enjoyed it more than Wahaca and I usually refuse to go to eat Mexican food in London, as I am from California.

If you like Tequila, Crazy Homies is a must go-to. We tried the Classic and the Chilli Margaritas: both were great and Wow was the Chilli one hot! We snacked on cooked-fresh-daily Totopos and the Yucatan Ceviche - no complaints whatsoever.Friendly, informed staff and a relaxed atmosphere - we will certainly return.

Delicious food, friendly service, great music makes it a perfect trifecta! We are from the United States and we struggle to find good Mexican food in Europe. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the experience we had at Crazy Homies in London. We came back 3 times in one week! Their anejo margarita was outstanding! In fact, that might have been what I kept coming back for. :)As we all know good food doesn't alway equal a great experience. In this case, the manager, Jimmy, and his staff were extremely friendly...making us feel at home. The "cherry on top" of the experience was the fantastic music. After asking Jimmy about the music, I found out that he is also a DJ...which of course made sense. Jimmy was generous enough to spend time talking not only about his music experience, but also the history of music in his hometown neighborhood where Crazy Homies resides. Anyway, it was a great experience for us and highly recommended!!

I have been to Crazy Homies before and thought it time for a review after eating there yesterday. The food is good, albeit it not truly authentic Tex-Mex food. The venue is really fun and vibrant, but the seating isn't great. The tables are small and the venue definitely wasn't built to be a restaurant, but they have done the best with what they have. The servers are friendly albeit a little slow. It's a unique place with decent food and the Margaritas are great. A little pricey for what it is but all-in-all good.

We have been coming here for years and it's never a disappointment. You can't book so go early and grab a margarita whilst you wait. Great food and love the decor.

The food and service was good but the tables are tiny and seating is terribly uncomfortable. Three of us were seated at a table so tiny it didn't fit our plates.

Coming over to the UK often for work I am continually looking for a Mexican restaurant which are very rare in UK. Crazy Homies is not only great Mexican food most of it is very authentic. The Margarita's are amazing too. I love the Tommy Margarita which is made with fresh lime juice and agave.

The food here is good Mexican street food, tasty and good portions although probably not the best you will get in London.
Loved the atmosphere. We were downstairs in the booths for group bookings and it gets quite raucous with good music. Not a venue for a quiet date but the name should give that away.
Great tequila cocktails with quality tequila as well.
Reasonably priced for both food and drinks

If seeking authentic mexican this is not your place. The menu looks great but the flavours are a miss and the meats (pork/beef) are lacking flavour and come out bland. The guacamole is delicious and the chipotle salsa is on point but intense and not for everyone. The chicken taquitos were cooked too long and came out dry. Wouldn't recommend this to any friends until the kitchen starts braising their meats with the correct spices to actually get the food to taste mexican.

Upside, there was a wide range of tequilas available and my margarita was well made even if a bit on the sweet side.

Very good Mexican / Tex Mex. Watch out for the margeritas, they can sneak up on you. I have been going here for years, and it is always consistent. Try to get a table upstairs if possible.

Hailing from El Paso, Texas, I've been in search for good Mexican food in London since I moved here two years ago. Crazy Homies finally satisfied the craving that I've had for so long. Their guacamole was an excellent way to start the meal with salsa that actually had some kick. The corn tortillas used in the tacos are superbly made and have that home-made taste that you just can't fake. The margaritas were great (I had the Tommy's) and service was decent. My only complaint is that it doesn't cost the same as Mexican back home, but then we're in London, so nothing does!
