I have never had dissapointing food from here. It can get busy at lunchtime but its so worth the wait. I have been going on and off for years. This place doubles the house prices of the entire village

they stopped, and buying them in now been going there for many years, but charging the same price for rubbish pies. the assistant said there not making them anymore, and yes you can tell. i wont be going there anymore .shame

Was stood waiting with a work colleague and other customers waiting for a very long time. Didn’t even come to take our orders just left us waiting. Ended up leaving along with other people waiting to be served. Ridiculous wait time, but they had enough time to have a chat in the back but not to serve customers

We are so lucky to have this little gem in the village - the food is exceptional and always always super fresh I wish the opening hours were longer as it closes mid afternoon - but use this place regularly for lunches etc

Very nice produce but please open during your advertised hours. Called during the tail end of your hours many times to find you’ve closed early.

Fresh sandwiches pies and curry, lunch order from work ..... delicious we will defo be returning next time someone is passing.

This small and friendly village shop has the best (and biggest) sandwiches and homemade pies in Bolton, not to mention their daily specials. Well worth a visit.

This is a great local store selling a lot of your basic products and other amenities as well as a range of fresh pies, pasties, cakes and sandwiches. However, like many other independent local stores the prices are higher than your larger stores but the fresh goods as listed above are delicious and worth dropping in at a lunch time.

Crabtree's bake daily the best pies (Steak,Cheese & Onion ,Minted Lamb & others) we have eaten.Thin crisp pastry , excellent fillings.

The Shish kebab salad flatbread was amazing. Compliments to the chef! Great shop and not many good ones around the Egerton area. Down to earth and friendly. 👍🏻

This little gem is the best pie shop in Bolton and beyond,all home made with a large selection of fillings that you wont beat anywhere. Carol and her team work really hard to make these fabulous pies and filled barms and people travel for miles for there daily fix. Once you have tried her delicious pies and cakes you to will be a regular .(good tip always try to ring in your order for sandwiches as they get really busy at lunch times). Keep up the good work team Crabtree you are doing a brilliant job ! .

I use Crabtree's on many occasions for my lunch, my favourite sandwich is the turkey,bacon with spicy mayonnaise. Great value for money and a really great sandwich. This place can get busy at times so I tried telephone ordering but can never get through as the phone is unanswered. My only blot on their copy book.

Love coming down here on a sunday morning getting buttys or pasty or cakes. Food is very nice and would definitely recommend 😊

Pop in for a butty, bap or barm (i'm not getting into the argument of what they are called) but take my word - if you're out for a walk with the dog or the kids (or the missus for that matter) pop in and get a hot beef and onion (Barm,Bap,Butty) and you won't be disappointed ;)

We called today and again tasty food! Barms are the big,they have plenty filling and are value for mot.We call here when visiting family and we are never disappointed.A good wide menu selection and is well worth a visit!

On visiting family we paid a visit to Crabtrees excellent fresh food as before. We went for ham salad barm on brown and prawn salad on brown, meat pie and pastie all fresh and tasty the biggest barms I’ve ever seen.Its worth a visit and reasonable prices to!

Lovely little shop,friendly staff,lots of choice on the menus,cakes and pies looked really tasty. Definitely spoilt for choice in the end we went for prawn salad,tuna salad and beef salad barms . They were the biggest,most filling ever had and tasted great,will definitely call again

Crabtrees is a small shop on BlackBurn road it sells anything from cereal to alcohol it is at a slightly higher price than the supermarkets but that is to be expected like any small shop but it does also serve hot food such as pies pasties and breakfast barms and is a good place to buy items that you have left off your shopping list

Me visita Crabtrees sobre una base regular y la razón es, son sin duda la mejor en el pueblo. Comida casera deliciosa, el personal era extremadamente amable y el nuevo diseño de la tienda es incluso mejor ahora. Deberían de estar orgullosos. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente a gente o simplemente folk pasando por Egerton

they make great bacon & egg butties, working on site up the road we just order over the phone then pick up 10-15 mins later great service

This place is certainly a talking point for miles around, their famous pies are outstandingly tasty! The choice of food is superb, and a fantastic shop to nip in and pick up some groceries too at very reasonable prices! Friendly family team!

Often call in here when up in Bolton on business. The ham and cheese toastie is the best I've ever had.

Esta pequeña tienda en el pueblo de egerton es una verdadera joya! Hay sándwich son muy generosos con muy fresca abundante. Lo mejor es que han comenzado a hacer su propio pastel y son fantásticos! Con el tipo de llenado de que rara vez consigues desde la mayoría de tienda. Incluso el pastel de carne y patata simple es mejor que puedes comprar en otro sitio y, una vez que pruebe que no vayas a ningún otro sitio son simplemente el mejor!

Como un Ex Casa economista, que me duele decir que cada vez que vamos a los lagos con nuestro hijo mayor entró nieto, tenemos que parar aquí por él para conseguir algo de comer. Lo que empezó como un regalo para ayudarnos a descargar el coche y mi moto de movilidad, ahora es una tradición.

Pasando esta tienda me decidí a parada para una tarta como yo he probado estos pasteles antes. Me alegro de no muy sabrosa sin duda las mejores tartas que he probado! Sin duda lo recomiendo y te tienes que probarlas!

Passed this cafe by chance,, i planned to call in for carrot cake as a treat for my wife and child,, upon entering the shop i was confronted by the the best looking desserts and pies id ever seen, shop owner had no carrot cake so i opted for the millionaire short cake and the chocolate dipped flapjack , then i was introduced to the pies by the friendly guy behind the counter,,, i opted for the beef tomato and mushroom,,,, wow ( this pie is the best ive ever eaten .,,,,,, you must try this shop

Local, homemade, lovely pasties, plenty of meat in, different types of pies, friendly service, open pretty much every day of the year!

Not a restaurant but a shop that also does outside catering. We have had delivered cold buffets and also hot meals such as corned beef hash, chilli, pies etc etc The cakes are amazing as well! We have ordered here for small birthday parties and just general family occasions. Sometimes there has only been 8 of us but It's much better than a 'takeaway' and much cheaper! We have ordered food from here a couple of times a year for the last few years. Highly recommended :)

having bought beautiful butties and pies from Crabtrees over the years, we recently asked them to cater our 25th Wedding celebration (70 guests). The food was fabulous and really well presented and all the guests commented on how tasty everything was. Excellent value for money and thoroughly recommended.

We moved from Egerton a over a year ago and whenever possible we go back to get some goodies. They catered for a family birthday last year and everyone wanted to meet the caterers to thank them. Highly recommended. The home made food is incredibly delicious and has never disappointed us. Very creative pie choices too. Thank you to the family, praise is due. Well done and keep up the good work.

This shop is family run and the staff are friendly, hard working, professional, intelligent and efficient. The takeaway food is as tasty as anything you could find in a good restaurant. The food is all completely home made and the pies are made with only the best quality ingredients, and the range of fillings is imaginative and clever and they taste delicious, with melt in the mouth pastry. They also do home made soups and meals to take away including full English breakfasts. Most of the locals in the village seem to prefer going to the shop to buy their breakfasts there rather than making their own at home. They have a wide range of choices for sandwiches and they are always packed full with the freshest food. They also do buffets for all occasions with home made cakes if required, which are always extremely well received and are quickly followed by recommendations to others. I have heard the buffet food described as "outstanding". The shop is open every day of the year for long hours for everyone's convenience. This family works extremely hard and they deserve to succeed.

Ive been to the shop a couple of times on passing. The staff are very friendly and I noticed that there was a larger variety of different flavoured pies like cheese and chorizo, lamb and mint, saag aloo. Ive tried of all of them and they are the best pies I ever tasted. I also went to a house warming party where the crabtrees did the catering. Again the pies were excellent. I will definitely use crabtrees in the future for any function I have.
