I came to the Crab and Winkle on Sunday and the food was amazing! Staff are very polite and helpful . There's always a great atmosphere here. Would recommend.

We love the crab and winkle! Our fab spot to watch the game and grab some dinner. Food is always hot, tasty and well cooked. We had one of the best roast beef dinners we have had in a long time at this little place a few weeks ago, for what you pay we were seriously impressed! Atmosphere is always good, friendly people, locals and staff. Would definitely recommend 👍🏼 The Katsu chicken is amazing and if you love a picky starter- the ultimate sharer is the one 👌🏼

It was lunchtime, and it was not too busy. I had a butter chicken panini, but the panini was hard to cut, and the odd chip wasn't completely cooked

Fantástico lugar, fue atendido en el bar por una joven encantadora, que llevaba un lazo en el pelo, me explicó cómo pedir tanto en el bar como en la aplicación, era más que servicial, mejor que el hombre mayor que estaba trabajando junto a ella, y parecía ser muy lento y distraído. La joven revisó dos veces mi pedido de comida y bebida antes de aceptar el pago, y fue muy agradable al preguntar si una copa de ginebra estaba bien para el vino, ya que no había copas de vino limpias, definitivamente muy bien entrenado. Siempre tenía una sonrisa. ¡Volveremos! Sin embargo, por favor consiga más copas de vino.

Had a great afternoon in the crab and winkle Werrington ,Peterborough, the lady behind the bar, black hair, sorry didn't get her name, could not have been more accomadating, friendly, chattey and a pleasure to be served by. I would highly recommend this pub.

Not a good day experience especially as it was our first time here Poor service sticky menus dirty tables and not a lot of choice My friend and I decided to give this restaurant a visit as we’ve enjoyed others have been to others with the same menu in the area We were We arrived early shown to a table , after looking over a sticky menu, which was obviously in need of a clean as was the table which we wiped ourselves which left the tissue black !!! We were told by other customers we had to order at the bar , which I thought should’ve been told to us by the staff Went up to the bar 3 of the non alcholic were unavailable, we ordered scampi chips and mushy peas and on arrival no mushy peas and no reason why We found the whole experience poor especially the hygiene , we left without ordering any dessert We will not return here or recommend to our family or friends

Food was great, friendly and fast service, really nice atmosphere

First visit here for several years, I took my elderly parents for lunch . It was very full for a Wednesday lunchtime .. (The tables all needed clearing as they were so busy and this was soon done ) We couldn't fault the service it was excellent and friendly , the food was good value and soon arrived . I left my handbag behind and when I returned it was safely behind the bar , thank you for that , we will definitely come again x

Check out the burger and a pint on Wednesdays! Bar staff are friendly, food is quick, hot and delicious. Bad reviews must be from other local pub landlords or staff! Better than staying at home on a cold dark winter night. Say hello to Bianca when you go, it’s nice to see someone actually enjoy their job!

Had a really nice steak inches crab yesterday it was cooked perfectly and hot, my partner had a salt and pepper chicken ahe said it was really tasty will definitely be back

Food was OK, not hot but edible, limited availability of alcohol free beer not lager, generally clean and tidy, biggest problem was there was some men sitting on the stools who was using foul offensive language, but none of the staff said anything, generally not a bad meal but could be served hotter. Didn't complain as I was on a time limit.

The older gentleman behind the bar is incredibly rude, I'm not too sure why he works with people, it has taken many rude comments for me to wright this review, also please wash your hands and have a mint after smoking, it's not a pleasant smell when we are being served food. Won't be returning, plenty of pubs in Werrington where you are not met with an unhappy face and a grumpy attitude.

Booked online, arrived, no table booked, was told by staff, we don't check online bookings...then told expect food in 30 mins or longer, food affixed 40 mins later, all lovely, no cutlery, no condiments, staff quite rude, didn't order dessert, felt like it was an imposition..

Called in as usual to watch the football, great quick service, love the Green King App! Lots of screens to see the football where ever you are sat.. great pub!

This was our first time in your pub and we loved it there so much! The staff was attentive and very friendly , quickly sorting out our order, the food was absolutely delicious! I ordered blue cheese burger and it was one of the best burgers i ever had! fries were perfectly crispy as well 😊😊 my friend ordered rump steak with mash (instead of fries) and he said mash was perfect and creamy 😊 we really enjoyed our dinner , also overalll price was very reasonable :) Hopefully we will be back whenever in peterborough :) Thank you so much, great team of chefs and bar staff 😊

Popped in after moving back to Werrington and thought we would have tea at the local, lovely staff and lovely food keep up the good work

Me reúno con mis hermanas y primas para nuestra reunión anual. Habíamos reservado la comida. La comida era absolutamente horrible. Las patatas asadas eran irreconocibles, eran trocitos de patatas que no estaban cocidas y parecían puestas bajo la parrilla. Las chirivías estaban igual de crudas y blancas y duras. En general era insípido. Diciendo que el desierto era muy bonito. Nos quejamos pero todo lo que obtuvimos fue una disculpa cuando pagamos la cuenta. Realmente deberíamos habernos negado a comer la comida y salir.

Friendly staff , food tasty and reasonably priced

Nos atendió muy bien el personal. A menudo las cenas de Navidad son sobrepreciosas y porciones decepcionantes, esto fue lo contrario. Buena comida por un precio muy razonable. Éramos 7 del trabajo y todos nos divertimos mucho. Muy divertido tirar de las galletas y usar los sombreros.

El servicio estaba bien en el restaurante. Sin embargo, solo tenían tres servidores y nos llevó cinco minutos de estar allí para conseguir que alguien nos ayudara a nuestra mesa. La comida salió bastante rápido sin embargo era pobre. Tenía los scampi y las papas fritas, pero la mitad de las papas no estaban cocinadas y mi mamá dijo que su pollo estaba seco. En general no fue una muy buena experiencia y no volveremos de nuevo.

Visited here today, we did not feel welcomed the bar lady seemed in a rush very quickly spoken and short sentences, rushing about, when she did serve us at one point had her head resting on her hand, I would not expect this sort of service! food was ok small portions compared to other green king venues. We would not recommend this venue based on our experiance - not feeling welcomed was the main issue.

I popped in with an old friend for a bite to eat and a few beers. Everything was great and the beer is well kept. Staff friendly and helpful. It was very busy and they managed well. Sticky table was only down side and that’s a first time after many visits

2 Beers in a cheery atmosphere, not too crowded but enough people to be lively.

Arsenal vs Brighton.... atmosphere was good, service was great from bar staff he was behind the bar on his own at points leaving a wait at points but nothing crazy. Had the steak sandwich, steak was really chewy and had to be taken out to actually eat it as part of the sandwich which was annoying but taste was nice, had the lava cookie for dessert, it was not a cookie or a cake it was a really weird texture more like partly cooked oats, taste was very unpleasant aswell as the texture

We came with the family today for a meal the food was hot and tasty I had the Lasagne and the kids had burgers. Will definately be back for another meal

I have previously given this place four stars, that was six years ago. Today 27 August was probably one of the worst meals I've ever had. We waited 45 minutes at a sticky table for what was described as a classic burger and chips, I suggest the so called chef might be more suited to a job at Marholm crematorium. The only saving grace is the barmaid/waitress was polite and pleasant enough. Won't be back ever.

I thought the young lady that served us was very patient and polite and very helpful as I am on a GF and Dairy Free diet, so was asking so many questions with regards to food and drink, but she met my challenge and helped me find things at an ease.

Quick service ... however food was poor, my 8oz sirloin was 4oz of sinew, and had to order a side salad for something green on the plate .. 2.50 for a bit of lettuce was extreme. Sons honey burger was dry bar last bite that was drenched.

Gemma is a credit to Greene King always gives great service with a smile .... If there was an extra star she would get it...

Warm & friendly welcome. Managed to find a table (probably as we were early). Easy ordering. Only had soft drinks (driving). Food arrived quite quickly & hot. Very tasty 'Sunday lunch'...plenty on the plate, very much enjoyed but sadly l had no room for dessert. Recommend a visit.

Best green king pub in Peterborough

Nice pub, not big but well looked outside area, which is always a positive thing, especially when the sun is out! Bit pricey £6.10 for a bottle of cider is rather expensive, but overall, nice place to sit with a friends.

Poor menu, staff were lovely though. A couple of loudmouth drunks swearing at the football ruined it

First time at this venue as we had a family gathering due to a funeral. Lovely pub and friendly staff. A wide choice of drinks too. We all had food which was nice but my mum's lasagne did not not look very appetising . Very dry and overcooked. She does not like to complain, so she ate it. Tasted ok but didn't look nice. Overall a nice place but as a visitor, will probably not go there again.

Was greeted by Gemma and Solomon (mental name). They were so friendly and helpful. Clearly very busy but took the time to talk to us and tell us about any events that were occurring for example, quiz night on Thursday night etc. Really lovely time had by all of us 😀

Arrived at the Crab AND Winkle and a fight was just being stopped. We ordered our drinks and told we couldn't order food as the chef was outside sorting out the person who started the fight. They said they would let us know when we could order... half a hour later we were told we could order. Food arrived my Lasagne was burnt round the edges and very bland, the Gammon was OK but not many chips, one of the burgers was very dry and the other one was lovely so my friend said. I was very disappointed as reading the reviews I was expecting good food!

Not a bad place but not amazing, pretty middle of the row. Decent food and the price is very good. When I went to order my food the gentleman at the bar was stuffing his face with food which didn't really please me and there were cobwebs in the corners of the building.

Solid Greene King pub popular with locals. Food solid of unspectacular. Service was excellent

The staff were friendly, the service was fast, the cost was more than reasonable and I honestly think this may have been the best burger & fries I have ever had - and as someone who has spent a lot of time looking for the "perfect burger", this was probably the closest I have come to finding it! Will definitely come back whenever we're in the area again.

Popped in for some food, they were very busy but very friendly. I had scampi and the wife had lasagna, both very nice. Didn't have to wait too long either, staff working very hard, certainly worth a visit

Pleasant enough pub on the edge of Peterborough

I really love this pub. It is always so friendly with a smile and the food and drinks are always good. It is one of our first options when we want to get a drink or food.

My group of 12 Red Hatters visited today. The staff were very welcoming, and the food was great value for money. Highly recommended.
