Once of the best burger joints in and around Manchester.

We gave this restaurant a try during our stay in the UK. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and attentive.

Food was good, place was freezing though!!! and whilst it wasn't busy the staff weren't that attentive, Scanning a code on your phone and reading the menu really takes the feel out of a restaurant where you can cast your eyes over the entire menu and go back to other things, you don't get the same experience on your phone, it's rubbish We would return, as the food is good

The food is decent but the service in the restaurant is poor and the delivery service is even worse. Decided to give them one more chance but never again. It’s not worth the hassle.

Worst place I've ever eaten tonight four of us and all had issues with the food. First: starter bbq boneless wings was cold and tasted like curry not bbq told the waitress she said ok and walked off. Second: main meal came my poutine came after watching it on the heat lamp for 15 minutes as the guy was taking pictures of the food when it came there was a skin on top of my gravy, my 3 pig burger was stone cold and tasted like pure salt and the coleslaw was just raw cabbage that's not coleslaw. ( I can teach you how to make it if you like) again told the waitress and was told there will be no refund as the manager was not there I ended up taking it home adding some flavour to it and cooked it myself. However the coke was great very bad service and needs a proper chef

Absolutely amazing food but they don't mess around with the spice level on the spiciest wings. The second spiciest level is good but the spiciest one will make you question your life choices.

INSANELY good food!!! i've been here a few times and tried a few different things on the menu and was so impressed every time! it's done up really nicely inside too, with canada-themed decorations everywhere! service is lovely (the ordering system is pretty unique where you look at the menu on your phone but use a coloured light system to let the wait staff know you're ready to order?) and prices are totally reasonable for the quality and portions! my friend is vegan and while there are no vegan options on the menu (there ARE vegetarian), the staff were very happy to make alterations to accommodate this (although i will say his burger looked a lot less exciting than the standard menu options, as a lot of the toppings have some form of dairy)

Small restaurant, BIG ENERGY! All the front of house were lovely, even with it being super busy they didn't let you wait long for service. The food is unbelievable, and the portions were generous. Absolutely worth every penny! Dirty Canadian comfort food. Highly recommend visiting!

After seeing this place on social media, me and my bird thought we'd give it a go. Food was really nice, perfectly cooked burger, mac and cheese was delicious. Poutine was lovely and chicken tenders tasted freshly made and not from frozen. They could do with offering a double burger or some type, I didn't see one on the menu (I may have missed it) so ordered a triple (it was huge) and took one off, not an issue but not desirable. Staff were friendly enough but waitress was run off her feet, I suppose this is the curse of social media blowing you're store up and then the store not staffing to meet the new demand, just my opinion. From asking for the bill to getting it was a good while because she was so busy. Now the cutlery, and table were perfectly clean but the floor could have done with a good mop, it was slippy throughout which im guessing was coming from the kitchen as it felt 'greasy' rather than wet. Restroom needs a little more maintaining too, TP was out, and the floor was manky and again very slippy. Overall I would eat here again but can't see it being a regular place I'd come too, every now and again.

Arrived to our 19:00 table booking 15 minutes early. Ordered quite quickly. Had to chase our food order several times and were finally served starters and mains altogether after 90 minutes! Really disappointing. Food quality varied. 2 dishes cold despite one of the plates being boiling hot to the touch! Have been here several times before and had a much better experience. They were not on their A game today.

I’ve ordered from here multiple times because the food is just THAT damn good. My favourite is probably the True Canadian pizza, it’s a definite must try! On a rare occasion tonight, the maple syrup was missing from the pizza (no complaints from me because it was still delicious) BUT the amazing Cowtown Grill guys decided to surprise us by delivering two free ice creams to apologise. Thank you and I’m sure I’ll be ordering again soon 🫶🏻

Waited 40 minutes for bill asking 3 times pathetic

Been here a few times and usually the service and food is fab. This time though…..wow! No this isn’t a good wow, we ordered and got our drinks fairly quickly then 2 other tables ordered after us along with loads of takeaway orders. Great to see a business doing well BUT when you have customers in the restaurant surely they come first. Asked where our food was (2 adults 2 teenage boys) I was told it was next and was in the hot plate….the 2 tables after us got their food and we still hadn’t had anything. Asked again and was told it was coming next. The lady serving us then disappeared…..A man appeared from the kitchen looking a little grubby started to serve food….took a burger to a table whilst coughing over it, then took it away then took it back then away again. Asked where my food was as my family had started to get their food….we’ve now been seated for approx 90mins! The burger that has been coughed on, walked about the restaurant and put back under the light then appears on our table. Asked if it was the same burger that had just done the rounds and was told no it was fresh. Food was ok….. So, all other customers in the restaurant that also had a wait for food were given small ice cream sundaes for the inconvenience. We on the other hand because we spoke up were given our bill and sent on our merry way! Can confirm we won’t be returning for awhile if at all! Shame really 🤦🏼‍♀️

Got the steak Poutine, which was absolutely amazing and probably the best I’ve ever had. However, it was a takeout, and they don’t provide disposable cutlery so had to eat with my hands. Would definitely return to Have a dining experience there.

It's been a fairly long time since I was last here, and I'd remembered it being so good that I was starting to second guess myself, if it was really that good. I was looking around even thinking it doesn't look like a high end burger place..... But then the food came, let me tell you you just don't expect something that good to come from a little restaurant on the main road in Sale. First up, presentation is 11/10, I actually haven't had a better looking burger anywhere, the mac n cheese looked perfect, and the fried chicken was perfectly crisp. The burgers are big, really most of them are the size of "challenge" burgers at other restaurants, but yet they aren't a mess, the buns are perfect, the sauces are on point, and the whole thing just holds together great. Everything which is added fits well, the flavour is so on point, and there's no extra stuff just for the sake of it. Meat is totally fresh, burgers are served pink. The owner is there cooking and serving, happy to chat to people. It's got a great home made vibe in the place and it's a real personal feel. I'm sure the menu has changed a fair bit since I was last there so it's nice they keep it fresh. I can't believe I haven't been in so long, I can't wait to go back.

Best service I would have asked for. Food was so good i could not stop eating even when I was full. 5 of us had a very good time! Kids meals are also amazing.

We had dinner here and the food was delicious. The 3 little pigs burger and the salt and pepper poutine were tasty and the shrimp starter was fantastic! Also worth noting, the pecan pie is worth trying

Such good food! Best poutine I’ve tried in Manchester Got there at 9pm on Saturday so was really quiet but still jolly with Christmas music on!

loved eating here, had the shrimp tacos and they were really good I haven't found anywhere else doing poutine as good as here either the boneless wings seemed more like chicken strips though still really good. Couldn't fault the service at all either. Well worth eating at for some good comfort food.

We enjoyed our evening at cow Town grill (2 adults 1 kid). First up, the neg, the food service was slow... but the staff kept us updated on this throughout our wait, and did all they could to keep us updated on the delays and keep us happy - I guess Saturday nights are just busy Now, the food... wow, it was certainly worth the wait! The burger and poutine was awesome (maybe don't order both like me, this is a lot of food!). We all really enjoyed our food, and the drinks kept flowing, and some nice (german) beers on tap Overall, despite the long wait for food, it was most certainly worth it and we will definitely be returning!

Over 2 hours for food, ended up Collecting instead delivery and still wasn’t ready. Poor communication from staff, such a shame as we like to support local businesses.

Extremely delicious food - always!! Soooo good

On the 28th of October my family and I enjoyed a meal at The Cowtown Grill, I found the service to be especially memorable. It happened to be my birthday and at the end of the evening I was presented with a complimentary desert which was absolutely delicious and a rendition of happy birthday by the staff. Totally unexpected and I was thrilled by their thoughtfulness

I unfortunately haven't had the pleasure of eating at this establishment, but I found the office blokes on YouTube trying the food and I'm now seriously looking into moving to Manchester just for this food and this establishment. Even here in the states it can be incredibly difficult to find an amazing burger. The menu alone makes me drool.

Great service. Just go when you are hungry because the portions are massive. Has a burger after reading other reviews and wasn't disappointed, the burgers are out of this world. The starters are brilliant. Didn't get around to desserts as we were easy too full. We will definitely be going back. Just been back and couldn't decide between a burger and a pizza, so they made me a cheese burger pizza which will be on their menu next week. It was simply delicious, again make sure you are hungry before going. Pizza burger is now on the menu. This time I tried a normal pizza and that was simply delicious as well. Will be recommending this to all Been here several times now and always a pleasure to eat here.

Cowtown Grill is amazing! I was soo impressed with the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxing. The restaurant was clean and tidy and the staff were so hospitable :D, I had a burger and it did not disappoint, my meal was filling and tasty! I will definitely be recommending this spot, and I will be back again in the near future :)

Really good food and service. QR code menus are awful (not just here, anywhere). Chicken tender portions are decent, all the food portions are decent to be fair. Bit cold if it's cold out so bear in mind

Honestly one of the best burgers and fries I've ever had. We went here today and will most definitely be back. The atmosphere has a Canadian log cabin feel. And the staff were lovely. The food was amazing. We had the three little pigs burger and the big bad wolf burger. Along with an amazing milkshake. We will definitely be coming back

Absolutely amazing food. They were short staffed. It was very hot. And it was very busy. But the staff were super sweet and working their butts off to get everyone taken care of. The burgers are massive and so delicious!!!!

The food was unbelievable! I was genuinely blown away by the quality! However… just give me a piece of paper with the menu on it, I don’t want to be scanning codes to look at menus. I also didn’t like the light.. what a waste of time and ultimately completely pointless. I was over charged for the buffalo bill burger too unless the menu on the code needs updating.

We ordered quite a few things the burgers are great here, but I noticed the quantity of the nachos has reduced from the last time we were here had that not been the case food would have got 5 stars 😀 service was a bit slow atmosphere was fine, but I did notice people vaping in the kitchen which is not acceptable for a place that serves food.

Sensational food ordered the Mounties platter which was incredible best burger around by far had them both cooked medium cooled to perfection full of flavour. First time I've sat in to eat and definitely better than ordering on takeaway will be back again. Thanks Cowtown grill

Went for a birthday treat after having it recommended. Great service with a smile. It was unusually busy apparently but the staff coped really well and were very professional. Really nice burgers and skin on fries. Everyone was really happy with the food. Will be back soon.

First time visiting yesterday and we were very impressed. The staff were polite and friendly. The food was gorgeous - there were so many things on the menu that we could have chosen. Food came in good time and was piping hot. We will definitely be back!

If you are anything like me, you may have scoffed when you heard Sale’s best restaurant is called “Cowtown Grill”. Hold your scoffs. Better yet, muffle them with some of the best grilled beef this side of, well, presumably Canada. This is no mere Canadian Charcoal Pit - this is the real deal. Get an amazing burger. Get a glorious beef hotdog. Get a milkshake so good you only need the vanilla. And if you’ve never tried poutine, this is the poutine to try. (Cheese curds aren’t scary - it’s basically halloumi.) Just don’t get that all on your first trip, because the portions are belt-bustingly huge. Come back later for the rest.

One of the best burgers I've ever had.

We visited Cowtown grill at the end of May, this was mine & my boyfriends first outing as a family with our newborn. The food was absolutely delicious as always. We’ve eaten here before & tried different meals & they are all fantastic. Highly recommend any burgers, the halloumi fries & the steak. Maisie our server was a gem, she made me feel really at ease & was really attentive to us, offering to turn the music down as our little one was a sleep. Maisie also made our night really special by putting a candle in our cake for us, I thought this was really really sweet. Thank you very much for an amazing & special night 😊

Absolutely amazing food! Easily the best burger I’ve ever had (tried both the MacDaddy and Signature) and both the Halloumi fries and Parmesan Truffle fries were addictively good! My niece had the poutine and said it was the best she’s ever had. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and we can’t wait to go back!

We visited this place on a Sunday afternoon. It was not crowded and we went through the menu and ordered Buffalo sauce wings. We also had an option of making our own Pizza by choosing the customized ingredients. The wings were served hot. The Wings were yummy but tasted bitter. Pizza was very delicious and had a soft base. The waiter was helpful when requested for Chilli flakes. Overall a good experience.

Nice relaxed atmosphere, good range of choice on menu. I really enjoyed the poutine, other family members had salad, hot dog and burgers, all fully eaten. Would certainly visit again.

I rarely do takeaways but I discovered them during lockdown and I've dined here a few times since. They make the tastiest burgers so it was an easy choice when I had a last minute urge for one this week. I had their Signature burger and my pic does not do it justice. So juicy with cheese, mushroom and caramelised onions. Delish! The halloumi fries are so naughty but so good 😋 They do a great poutine too!

I've been here twice now. Portions sizes are massive! You could probably share a main between 2 people. Food is really tasty. I really liked their caramel coffee milkshake! The service is great too, talkative, friendly, informative and they go out their way to make it work for you.

This is a place of many mysteries, food is always great but the restaurant is starting to show a bit of age with wobble seats and pieces of folded paper wedged under table legs to stop them wobbling and on our most recent visit the online ordering system was only being used as a menu as we couldn't use it to order which was a real shame as the restaurant was busy with a massive party and it would have freed up staff to serve and bring out food on time (see below)... As always this place has great food, on our current visit there was a birthday party going on when we arrived and was told all our food would be brought out together (starters and mains) due to the kitchen being busy. This was odd on retrospect as when we received the food the starters weren't hot anymore so had been waiting around for a while for the rest to be cooked and finally brought out. Staff were friendly as always and they told us the wait time for food in advance which many places don't do. I recommend Cowtown they just need more staff when busy especially when a massive gathering is taking place which was obviously booked in advance.

If you're a fan of burgers and happen to be in Manchester, I highly recommend checking out this place. The burgers are definitely up there with the best in town - the meat is always juicy and cooked just right, and the toppings are fresh and tasty. What I really appreciate about this spot is that the staff clearly take pride in what they do. They're always working hard to make the burgers even better, and you can tell that they're passionate about their craft. Overall, I think this place is a solid choice for anyone in the mood for a delicious burger. It might not be the fanciest joint in town, but it delivers where it counts - on the plate.

*Halal* make sure to tell them .. ordered the Chicken Taco’s and beef burger both tasted amazing no complaints. Defo would go back also customer service very friendly parked on one of the sides road and they do take card payments.

The best!!! Burgers BUT! £5 "small order fee"/ £35 minimum spend for delivery which always takes minimum an hour up to 1.5 hours. It just means I now order elsewhere because they've gone selective with who they want to order. Shame

Cowtown grill was the most impressive joint from our Manchester trip - this spot is a must visit guys! This spot is so easy to pass by because it doesn't look remotely halal but it is! We were all really impressed with the food. There's lots of similar joints in London but none have the level or attention to detail like this imo. From making all their sauces from scratch, they also make their own buns for their burgers! So how was it? Everything, everything was on point! The burger was meaty goodness and brisket was beautiful. The only change I'd make is remove the coleslaw so we can have a pure meat patty. Highly recommend you try this burger! - It was the best burger I had in Manchester! Poutine was the best I've had hands down! Steak was great and cooked perfectly. Even the wings were a hit. Can't fault this spot, if you're in Manchester it's a must try, we loved the level of detail and passion from the guys behind it. Taste a solid 9.5, Quality: 8.8, Value: 8.9

Wow, where so I start. Came in, 2 separate orders. My and the wives drinks came, waiting 15 minutes for my mates drink to come after asking about it. His food then turned up straight away, me and the wife waited nearly an hour for ours 🤷🏼‍♂️. In that time I had accidentally spilt a drink. Turns out I was only asking the manager to get something but not once, not twice, however on the second time I asked her she went outside to speak to sone other people so made a lickle scene asking a 3rd. The manager turns up with a floor polisher so just literally spread the split drink all around the floor by our feet, absolutely brain dead. Service is the worst I've ever seen. Avoid man absolute Shambles

Two of visited on a quiet early Saturday we both had a Cowtown burger and fries and I can only say the service was excellent and the burger was probably one of the best we have ever had absolutely delicious and full of flavour we will definitely be back.

Ordered for collection to pick up at 7.15pm, to be told it will be another 15 minutes, my other half is still waiting in the restaurant 40 minutes on still getting told 'won't be long sorry'. This isn't the first time this has happened, it seems whenever it's a busy night in the restaurant they struggle with the takeaway option meaning they have took on too much work and not enough staff to accomodate, disappointing as it's great food and local
