Delicious hamburgers. A definite revisit!

The burgers here are absolutely incredible. Service was really good and efficient, despite being a walk in on a Saturday evening. It's small though so worth booking if you can!

Nice place, burgers were good, my kid enjoyed the shake, but the chips were amazing, they were crispy, and crunchy, like a mix between a roast potato and a chunky chip. Maybe the best I’ve ever had!

Unfortunately the falafel burger didn't taste good at all. There was nothing reminiscent of falafel. The burger bun was totally soft and already collapsed. It's a shame because the food is already expensive... the ambience and service is good.

Visited at 5pm , wasn't busy at all. Saff were polite and attentive. GF mushroom burger was excellent. Good food. Definitely no cross contamination. Fries and coleslaw were delicious.. Great value for money . Will def be back.

Great place for you burger fans as it's great quality, great taste and not like those macy dees burger its well worth a visit if you are in Yeovil. Good service and great staff, apparently the cider is great based on my parties feedback.

Service was wonderful. Fantastic selection of ciders. We enjoyed the chips but unfortunately the burgers seemed to be microwaved - grey and overcooked, no caramelisation from a grill whatsoever.

Maybe it was the hype that let it down. But a bland burger mixed with exceptional waiting (despite pre ordering) meant that it didn't live up to expectations.

What great way to turn a hamburger joint into something more than a hamburger joint! Full marks for originality. Food was pretty reasonable and certainly came quickly - especially considering we were quite a big party. Service was prompt and faultless, and the prices are quite a bit lower than you'd expect to pay when out for an evening meal. I "went light" and wouldn't do so again as a) a burger stops being a burger when you take the buns off, and b) it cools down much faster. If I'd had a normal burger it would probably have got an extra star. Chips are another curiosity, because they are scalloped out - effectively they are C-section - so you get less volume per bowl, but then they just bring out another bowl when the first one's done so you get as many as you want, AND...... they are fresher and hotter than if you just get them all at the start in the one bowl.

Nice restaurant with good dairy free and gluten-free options. The staff are knowledgeable about allergens which makes it enjoyable for those with dietary requirements who can eat there with confidence. Food is also pretty tasty too.

Loved this place! Burgers from the reviews looked great! So we had to wait for kitchen to open after lunchtime rush but that was fine :) our waitresses we attentive and customer service was excellent. Definitely will be back!

Popped in today and had a delicious meal,my wife is gluten intolerant and catered for with care. Staff were welcoming and friendly, lovely place for food and drink highly recommend.

We've had their food as a delivery but now they have more room in their new location we thought we would have a family treat before a film. Nice ambiance, even at 5pm, with pleasant outlooks. The staff were very friendly and attentive and we didn't have to wait long for the wonderful food. We knew they can cater for gluten free and we felt relaxed knowing that they take care about cross contamination. Thanks to you all.

All around fine, Gurt burger was more than meaty enough. I would recommend some coleslaw to counter the overwhelming gaminess of the meat. Generous with the sauces on nachos!

Place is nice and spacious, an improvement from their last place. Service was good. The burger (combine) was OK but did not feel like the gourmet burger the prices seem to promise. Patty was dry, bun did not feel fresh, onion rings heavy on the bland battery and stalking was way off. I did not feel it was cooked and assembled with care. No option to buy just a burger making the deal not good value for money imo. There's definitely better burgers out there for the money.

Waitresses were really helpful regularly asking if we needed anything, music wasn’t loud in there like some places so we could actually talk, really nice drink menu. Now for the most important part- food was best I’ve had in years I had the Alright Hen chicken and bbq pulled pork burger with the best chips I’ve ever had, coleslaw was perfect, tasted so fresh and good quality. Would definitely go there again on occasion. If you’re in Yeovil I recommend giving this a go as a treat.

Really poor service at the Cow and Apple. Came out for a meal for 4 - staff were young and inexperienced and food was freezing cold. By the time our burgers arrived, they were inedible. Very expensive only to recieve cold food & small portions. Bar staff stood around chatting & kitchen staff shouting with door open to service area. Overall, very disappointing, poor quality food and incredibly overpriced. Will not be returning.

Ordered a meal from Cow & Apple for my birthday. Never again. Food was stone cold by the time it was delivered. The burger was dreadful. Fries were soggy. Overpriced for what you get. No idea how they've got good reviews. It was a very disappointing meal.

The Cow & Apple is Phenomenal. I visited with a group of 4 for dinner, never having tried this place out before, wondering what all the rage was about. It lived up to everything my friends had told me. There is a sizeable yet concise and fun menu that offers classic burgers, and some more exotic options with room for extra pattys and fillings for that little bit extra. I ordered a Combine Burger which was one of their cheaper options, along with a Premium Cider since cider is their other speciality. You order food at the bar when you are ready and the lovely staff will let the kitchen team know what you want asap and get your drinks prepared. Service was great and really fast too. None of my group had to wait more than 10-15 minutes for all our food to arrive and it was all piping hot. The quality of the meat is incredible since it is sourced from a local trusted farm and prepared by chefs who know what they are up to. Combining that with all the other flavours in the burger made for one hell of a feast. With a side of rustic fries to go along side and a cider in hand, the meal I had was not one to be forgotten. I would definitely return here in the future and love to try some of the other options this place serve. If you live in or are nearby to the Yeovil area, definitely give this place a try and dont sleep on it like I did!

I'm not a big person and don't need much to feel me up, but ...this was the smallest meal I've ever had in my life. After this "brunch" which looks more like starter, I've left hungry and went somewhere to eat. Definitely not worth the price. + Taste good, lovely as local with nice stuff. - Overpriced, small portions.

Had a lovely meal, 5 of us ate and we all were stuffed. The burgers were huge and delicious. It was very quiet the evening we were there, and although adequate, the waiting staff seemed lack luster.

I loved the new premises, the layout works really well. There are options for outside dining and as ever the staff are great 😃 my burger was delicious, there's an amazing menu to choose from and the cider selection is fabulous! Only ever so slight downside, (and not the restaurants fault) for those with sensory issues, the background noise level I found quite high at first, however, because the tables are evenly spaced, it was manageable.

Food is always good but you pay for it. Avoid the chicken starter. For £8.25 I got 3 of the skinniest chicken slices that would deep fry. The salad and dip (which was way too much for the portion size) didn't make up for the dissapointment. Kinda still hungry tbh

A good place with a nice view outside on a Cathedral. Probably better to visit during warm weather as outside seats are the best.

Always enjoy this restaurant for its unique burgar and cider choices. Lots to choose from perhaps a little overpriced but still good food and drink.

Came for food here on Friday, didn’t realise how big it was! Staff were so lovely and friendly! We had the nachos as a starter and then both had halloumi burgers. To be fair… could have just had the nachos as a meal because they were huge. Best nachos we’ve ever had! 10/10 would recommend

Great food at a reasonable price and despite the restaurant being busy we reviewed excellent table service and finished our meal with a lovely brownie served with ice cream.

Ashamed to say first time I've been to cow & apple, we came in a group of 12 for a work meal. To the point the staff were fantastic, the food was delicious and overall a lovely vibe, from the rustic interior to the lovely outdoor seating with a cosy blanket looking over to the church. Service was excellent throughout cannot fault. I've also ordered take out from them before and it was just as amazing.

Spur of the moment walk-in and couldn't fault food or service. Took a little while to take our order but then food arrived very promptly. Can definitely recommend the fish finger roll.

The restaurant had a very chilled atmosphere with amazing interior design. The staff were welcoming and friendly to us throughout our meal.The burgers were good, the portion size wasn't too big or too small. I also enjoyed the cider I had with my burger, which was included in the Wednesday food and drink deal.I would definitely want to revisit this restaurant to try the other burgers available on the menu.

I wish we had one in my home town! Apart from Deliveroo riders we had the place to ourselves during Covid restrictions, so I hope they survive. Really good vegan/veggie options and charming service. Highly recommended.

We visited the Cow & Apple last night for a bite to eat. We searched places to eat in Dorchester so decided to try it out. So glad we did, firstly reassurance of Covid regs in place, it was very comfortable and not worried about distancing etc. The young waiter was great - excellent customer service! There is usually about 50 ciders on offer but understandably they couldn't provide the full range. Coming from Somerset we take our cider seriously! We decided to try the Cow & Apple draught cider and met our approval. The food was just as good! Large portions, not long to wait and very well cooked and presented. I had a combine burger, a recommendation and if you want to go bigger, the Gurt burger was hubby's choice! We would highly recommend this establishment, if we are near Dorchester in the near future, we will certainly visit. It was also popular with locals as a take away too!

Had lovely starter and main meal! My sister is veggie and there was LOADS of option for her and a whole separate vegan menu! Service was quick and friendly and food is good quality for a good price! Will deffo be going back again it was lovely!

Ordered through deliveroo, freezing cold.. waste of £47!Everything had congealed and was absolutely stone cold. Couldn't heat it up as dishes with salad. Very cross as no need!

Picked up a takeaway this evening I had the combine burger with sweet potato fries which was the best burger I’ve ever had, as I’d ordered on Just eat I had to wait 10 minutes, the owner came out of the kitchen to apologise for the wait and gave me a delicious bottle of elderflower and cucumber cider I will definitely order from here again.

Restaurant very quiet, one other family and one single diner, so not much ambience. Our waitress was friendly and we let her select us a ‘taster’ menu of 6 ciders (1/3 pint each) which we shared. Hubby had a beef burger which he said was good, son had pulled pork burger off the children’s menu which he enjoyed and was good value. My falafel burger let the side down - tasteless and a bit cold. Also the kitchen sent starters and mains at the same time and forgot an item. Sadly probably wouldn’t visit again with other better options close by.

My partner and I have been in a few times over the last year and the food is that good it’s worth writing a review with praise. The huge variety of ciders is excellent, but they also do soft drinks like Oreo Milkshakes, fantastic. The burgers are really tasty, good value for money and plenty of chips. A*******

Service was slow and it was deserted! The food was alright, I mean it wasn’t incredible but it was a burger restaurant so what can you expect! The options were pretty limited but if you are vegan/veggie or gf they did have some alternatives.

Been here many times before, never been disappointed. Unfortunately on our most recent visit was disappointing. They have changed their buns, to the cheap supermarket type. The beef patty was very dry and lacked seasoning. Not terrible, but sadly below average on this occasion.

After eating in their Yeovil restaurant and having a great experience with great food, we thought to give the Dorchester restaurant a try before heading to the cinema. And I'm glad to say the evening was just as good as the Yeovil night. The girlfriend and I had what we could say is the best burger we have eaten! Service was really good and staff were really friendly. Highly recommend eating here or in their Yeovil restaurant. If you like great food, you will not be disappointed!! Good work Cow and Apple!!

Stumbled across this gem whilst visiting Dorset, had a fantastic burger and tasted a couple of fantastic ciders. So good that we went back for breakfast a couple of days later!

I haven’t visited for a year or so as the last time I did I wasn’t massively impressed however I was this time! It seems improvements have been made all round. Good service, great tasting food- really good quality meat, flavours were delicious. Very fairly priced. Before you would only get a burger and have to order sides but this has been changed and fries and coleslaw come as standard which I think is a good idea. My one and only criticism is there is no full fat Pepsi or Coke option. I prefer Pepsi max but my partner likes regular, however this doesn’t deter from an easy 5* rating just maybe something management may want to consider stocking.We will definitely be returning and will also recommend to friends and family.

Hubby had been trying to eat here for a while, we made it today at last. Located a few doors down from the Plaza cinema. It was very busy for a rainy Sunday with most of the tables taken, which is always a good sign.Nice choice on the menu and I like the special touches of "no bun" and upgrading/changing the fries. All burgers are hand made to order so it took a little while to arrive however it was worth the wait. Burger was nice and meaty and very tasty with a nice chilly kick. You can go up a size if you wish for about an extra £5. Both of us had the "Sloppy Cow" with chilly on top - fab! Staff were in short supply today (only saw one waitress) and she was kept quite busy however she remained calm, friendly and pleasant.Really enjoyed our lunch here and we will be back again soon. I have previously reviewed this restaurant and been disappointed on the basis that they were not open as expected. This review was responded to totally appropriately by Meg explaining the reasons and it appears I had been unlucky, twice. I promised to update my review once I got to eat there and now I can.Just before Christmas, we dropped in and had a great lunch there. The two of us each chose a burger and then because we were both tempted by both, we cut them in half and had half of each, each! They were both excellent, very tasty and good sized portions. We accompanied these with a couple of delicious ciders which were recommended by the host after he discussed our palettes. The standout cider to me was the "Whisky Cask" from Thistley Cross brewery, but go and try some for yourself.The staff are knowledgeable and service was quick. As it is right next to the cinema, why not arrange trip to the Art Deco cinema and then grab lunch or dinner.

Me and my girlfriend decided to end 2019 with a visit to the Cow and Apple. It was the perfect start to our New Years celebration. Friendly service, chilled atmosphere and great food and drink. Would recommend to anybody looking for a new but tasty restaurant to try.
