I bought my two little grandsons a bubblegum ice cream and think you should check what is going into the ice cream as the colour was still strong after two days. I know many people don’t care but I am against anything unnatural going in children’s food please research

After looking on line thought it looked like a very nice place to have breakfast with great views of the sea. 1st they dont do breakfast only a sausage in a roll pre done so just warmed up or bacon roll. Young girl.serves us but not very friendly no smile even on a lovely day Sat outside but not very clean needs some cleaning up On a positive note inside looked better than outside and the cakes looked nice But wont be going again

Such a shame, first visit to this great location with sea views. Disposable cups and cutlery are the norm and the two staff members took turns in vacuuming even though it was not near closing and two new groups came in, had their orders taken and were subject to quite a high pitched vacuuming noise rather than listening to each other and the low level piano soundtrack. I’m not keen to return but I’d like to have had this as a regular stop off. It seems that the staff wanted to get home after a long day but reported being well paid. Maybe a split shift pattern would help?

Really looked forward to having lunch here. It’s an interesting building, with gorgeous views over the sea and Mary’s Shell. But, unfortunately, those are really the only positives. Took absolutely ages for them to heat up a ready made toastie and bowl of soup - didn’t get any proper plates or cutlery and it really wasn’t very nice food :( Like other reviewers I didn’t feel the staff were at all friendly or helpful (watched us struggle with the door/wheelchair/weird accessible table with no seating in sight and didn’t even offer to help once) Such a shame cause Cleveleys is lovely and we wanted to support a local business.

Nice little cafe next to the sea. We stopped here for a hot chocolate and cake . Service wasn’t the friendliest but they were a little rushed of their feet at the time . Chocolate and cake was nice we sat and watched them install the rocks on the beach from a distance. Not sure what the thing in the water is ment to represent but I would recommend a visit

What has happened to this coffee shop? It is now called FB Kafe (formerly The Cove). Although opening hours were a bit hit and miss when it was The Cove, if you found it open it was a nice place to be - we visited often. A recent visit showed how things have changed. We went in, two guys serving, one said “what do you want” ? No smile, no welcome, nothing. Ordered two coffees which came in paper cups (although they knew we were sitting in) , were pushed infront of us and were literally the worst coffees we’ve had out in a very long time - or probably forever! Push button coffee, no barista style here ! The seating is crazy for an establishment of this type - as a couple we had to occupy a sofa set up that would have accommodated a large family, so the remaining seats would be either wasted or we would have had to accept company while enjoying(?) our refreshment. We frequent coffee shops on a regular basis but this one we won’t be returning to! Needs a total overhaul of staff attitude, quality of drinks and atmosphere.

We had two panni’s and a potion of chips not great any of it to say the least the BBQ chicken panini 🤢 cheap and soggy filling . It’s such a shame as such a lovely setting . The rude and abrasive manager (owner?) suggested we could leave - so we did. As did others. There are ways of talking to people - customers - and this person is singularly lacking in that skill. Being local it has been a favourite stop off for a morning coffee or ice cream. I shall now go elsewhere. We arrived at 10.25 and I was told by a member of staff that they would be opening at 10.30, whereupon we took a couple of chairs and sat at a table, as a few other people did including disabled people. The manager (owner) arrived a couple of minutes later and shouted abruptly that they were not open. Now, far be it from me to advise, but a "Good morning" would have helped. How about "We're just opening, and we'll be with you in a few minutes”. Anyway, that didn't happen and was followed a minute or so later (by which time it was 10.30 - opening time!!) by yet another curt "instruction" - "Will you all stand up and move away". This was so that tables and chairs could be set. There then followed an exchange about social distancing by which time it was 10.30 when she suggested we could leave if we didn't like it. I do not appreciate being spoken to in such a hectoring manner. Even more amazingly that this should happen from a cafe manager (owner?) to customers. Another suggestion - start work and prepare your space earlier. We are locals and have visited and recommended this cafe many times. We will do neither, again.

I fully understand that were in a pandemic and as such people are causious. We visited cafe cove for some lunch on Wednesday, there was only one other table being used by a customer. The lady who asked for my details was very abrubt, aggressive and rude. We asked for a menu and was told it's all in boards behind. She then gave us a paper menu while we were still looking at the board and again told us t sit down.Again she was very rude and told us to sit at the table and someone will take your order. We decided that her attatude was terrable and left.Bring literally being barked at is not a good way to talk to customers and retain business. For the record, we were not rude, or do anything to receive such attatude.

I've reviewed here before but feel that the owner and staff very much deserve a mention for how they are adjusting to life under Covid. The inside tables have been redesigned to allow for plenty of room between tables and the outside has also been laid out similarly, excellent. The food is beautiful, very well presented and very enjoyable too. (Especially the breakfast.) The staff are very much on the ball, as soon as a table has been vacated it's cleaned thoroughly and I mean thoroughly, so are the chairs too.I've yet to come across another establishment that demonstrates such cleanliness.Well done to all and I have the pleasure of saying that I definitely recommend Cove Cafe.

The cafe has responded to the Covid situation very well and all the rules are strictly adhered to. The coffee is first class, I drink latte's and like them very hot and they arrive steaming and very tasty. The cakes are gorgeous with a very good selection. The hot food is of a high quality, the jacket potatoes are delicious and served with a nice salad and coleslaw. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The prices are competitive. It's has been a haven during the present crisis and a visit always cheers up our day.

Cycling from Blackpool to Fleetwood is a real pleasure, we stopped off at the cafe and got a table outside to enjoy the sunshine and watch the world go by. We intended to just have a coffee but the cakes were just to good to pass up. The Café was busy but it was clean and tidy, staff were quick to clear and sanitise after each table became vacant. The cafe is in a nice spot and easily accessible via the ramp, there are toilets to the side of the cafe but due to social distancing some are not in use atm, I didn't notice if there was a disabled toilet and the available toilets would not accommodate a wheelchair or pushchair. Staff were pleasant and efficient, not at all flustered by being busy, great job, thankyou :) Highly recommend you stop by and sample the cakes!

The best feature about Cafe Cove is its location. It's one of the few cafes on the Fylde coast that has a beach side location and coastal views. Most days you get a view of the Lake District also. Truly fabulous. I believe that the cafe changed hands and it is certainly an improvement. As a fussy coffee drinker, I am very happy with their coffee now (it was pretty awful in the past) and would highly rate their flat white. We rarely eat there but today I had brunch there which was a regulat breakfast. It was delicious, great value and piping hot. The staff are lovely and I'd really recommend a trip to Cafe Cove if you're on the Fylde coast. Lovely! Oh they have gluten free cakes, which is an extra bonus.

After a lovely visit to the beach with our daughter we stopped off at the cafe for a late lunch, we were hungry!! We ordered and waited for 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches, a hot cross bun and a portion of chips. My husband went to enquire and was stood waiting for ages whilst staff ignored him. Eventually he was acknowledged and our food was brought to us, not with an apology but an accusation that it was our fault because staff had called out with our order which we must not have heard. The order number given at the time of ordering was displayed on our table the whole time that we waited. The food was ok but I felt a tad expensive for what we got. Perhaps I would have felt this was more acceptable if we had not got the attitude received.

Outside temperature 5deg with cold wind - with no heating the cafe wasn't much warmer Their coffee is the worst we have tasted, and very disappointed with the size of a £7 Panini - cost for 2 x small Latte coffee's and 2 panini: £20 - we feel robbed ! This cafe was the best and deserved the 5 star rating via the original owner but standards have gone down dramatically of recent times. Food arrived gorgeous side salad, loads of hot crispy chips and a burger in a nice bun. Upon eating the burger i found it didnt taste like beef at all more like a sloppy ham burger. With closer inspected the burger was pale in colour and was more like a cheap ham burger. Not sue how it could pass as beef? I left mine couldnt eat it disgusting, At a cost of over £17 for 2 x Latte and 2x Beef burger and chips i would have expected more. But can fully understand why not on a cold, wet day in winter! However, whenever they are open and we are walking along the front, we call in for a drink and something to eat - just like we did today. Two americanos and two fruit slices ( chosen from a very tempting array of home baked goodies). Service was prompt and friendly. Tables are cleared and cleaned quickly and the whole place look well looked after. Lots of seating inside, though it can get crowded as it is rightly very popular, with a great view of the beach. There is seating outside as well with the same great views, though it was so windy today there might have been added grit ( from the sand) in anything you ate!Just over £7 for the food. Good vfm - the view is free but priceless!

Really well placed cafe on the seafront. Friendly staff and good range of cakes to go with a very decent coffee. I had the bacon sandwich which was piled high with bacon, well cooked and piping hot, perfect place to sit and watch the world go by. Love this little cafe.

went for a psychic evening and a meal was in with the price. The food on offer was either lasagne or quiche, and the whole table of 9 chose the lasagne. When it came it didn't look very big but there was plenty, very deep and it was delicious, it was served with bowls of hot fries and lovely garlic bread which was all placed on the table for every1 to help themselves. I had blackcurrent cheesecake for dessert and it was excellent. The staff are lovely, you feel like you already know them, ,without being overly attentive. Will certainly be back.

This café is beautifully appointed. The views are second to none and the décor is modern stylish and extremely comfortable. The staff are very capable and helpful and they clearly make everything themselves including the superb patisserie items. We had the home made quiche, baked potato salad and coleslaw which was perfectly presented and very tasty. It was reasonably priced at £6.95. We felt relaxed and unhurried and had ample time to drink our tea afterwards and enjoy the view. the only negative thing is that there is a sliding door which kept on getting left open as people came in and the icy wind from the sea kept on blasting in. Maybe they could have a spring on this door so that it would automatically close after people came in. Apart from that could not fault this beautiful venue.

A nice modern cafe with big windows right next to the beach for a great sea view across to the Lake District. Good outside seating area and a big car park across the road as well as one outside. We only had scones and coffee but we both commented that they were excellent scones. The staff were friendly as well.

In summer last year I visited this cafe and was very impressed. My son visits regularly. So today myself, my 17 year old and two of his friends visited for breakfast. We came 3 miles on a tram so that's how much we rate it, we are willing to travel on a wet and windy day to eat there! Even though it was early afternoon they still do breakfasts. My son and friends ordered the large breakfast, and i ordered the American one. Food came piping hot, and when i pointed out that the black pudding was missing from my son's breakfast it was immediately rectified with freshly cooked black pudding bought over with apologies. As I mentioned before in a previous review, it isn't cheap, it cost me £18 mine and my son's meal, with a mocha and a pot of tea for one but it definitely is worth it, can't fault it. Also worth mentioning was all 3 of the lads were wearing 'hoodies' typical teenagers, which some cafe's may view with suspicion in my experience, however we were all made to feel very welcome. It wasn't busy and we did wait a short while for food but that is because of how freshly cooked it all is. There is a limited menu, breakfasts, paninis, soup, few burgers but all served in a nice setting overlooking Cleveleys beach, their cakes look gorgeous. Will definitely go again.

Called into here whilst walking along the prom at Cleveleys on a very windy and cold day. It was lovely going into a warm cafe. We only wanted a snack and so had tea for 2 with toasted hot cross buns and we shared a bakewell tart. There was a large selection of cakes on offer. It was lovely sitting near the window and looking out at sea. The tea was ok but the water wasn't majority hot in the first pot we had. Hot cross buns were lovely but we found the bakewell tasted very sugary glad we only got 1 to share. I would go again when on a walk on the front nice place to visit.

Perched at the end of the " new promenade " this ideal .Panoramic large glass windows enable you to look out to see and regularly see the isle of man ferry bobbing past with Barrow and the Cumbrian fells providing a stunning backdrop. The café is just that adequate but not a stunning choice of food but certainly no greasy spoon that would be an insult. The access is comfortable and serviced by parking 50 metres away and toilets adjacent to the café with a charge of 20p. This is superb for families the childrens fountain rainbow area is wonderful and such fun as an option to the beach at high tide. For dog walkers the outside area is wonderful and welcoming with over a dozen tables over looking the sea and in good weather this is so relaxing ( and for non dog owners). The attraction of this clean and modern facility is the location, amazing , so versatile and welcoming , use it on a cold brisk winter walk along the prom magic ....

The Cove Cafe is on Clevelys Promenade. It serves great food from breakfast to afternoon teas. It's location means that you have stunning views across Morecambe bay and up to the Lake District. The cafe itself is within easy walking distance of the town centre and is a pleasant walk along the promenade. For those with cars there is a car park opposite and a small car park adjacent with several disabled places. The food ranges from snacks to full meals throughout the day and is is freshly made and serve by helpful staff. The prices are fair and the quality is very good. It is well worth a visit and the walk along the promenade is great. The Cove cafe is an outstanding example of the new Cleveleys Promanade,

We were in Cleveleys, my son and I, for the dentist and his friend came with us. We were all hungry and the friend recommended we go to the Cove as he said (in teenager speak!) 'It's Best'. I was a little skeptical coming along the prom as the outside didn't look up to much tbh but once we got inside, wow. Clean, well laid out, and what gorgeous views over the sea. We ordered 2 regular breakfasts, and I had the quiche with jacket potato, coke, a latte, and a milkshake. It was a little pricey at £26 but the portions were huge and presented very well.My Son said the milkshake was the best he'd ever had! Would definitely recommend to anyone and will be taking the husband when we are next in Cleveleys .

This truly is the place to go for a full English breakfast. It is on the pricey side but well worth it. Cooked to perfection. Take cash, you have to pay 50p charge to use your bank card! The only other niggle was they said I would have to pay for an extra egg if I wanted scrambled egg instead of fried with my breakfast!!

I love this cafe the food is lovely and they do the best ice cream (Wallings) and come rain or shine the views out to the Irish Sea are truly amazing. The only down side is the cafe does not have toilets. If you want to spend a penny it will actually cost you 20p to use the public toilets next door. But apart from this the cafe is great.

Lovely contemporary cafe serving snacks and icecreams. Snacks include things like breakfast sandwiches, cakes, cookies. Smiling, friendly staff. There is plenty of room to sit outside overlooking the beach and bay, but we sat in as it was windy. Still lots of tables along the curved windows, so still able to look at the view whilst enjoying a latte.

Went in with my family after a lovely walk on the beach, the cafe it's self is clean & with impressive views of the coast, & the food we ordered was nice, small breakfast was adequate, for me menu just not extensive enough & really could do so much more....it's not like the kitchen isn't capable of producing more than a Panini....for example my 4 year old daughter requested a soft boiled egg, ok it wasn't on the menu but surly they had a pan, water & a fresh egg, perhaps no egg timer...apparently not. Iam sure they could of whipped up such a demand if they really wanted too but unfortunately they couldn't....shame really. Will we return? Yes probably but I next time I will perhaps sneak into the kitchen myself and give what the customer wants.

Visited Cleveleys on a very cold windy day, passed the Cove cafe which looked very nice inside and very inviting. We went in to have a drink to heat us up. We both chose hot chocolate with everything on top, this was the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted we were sorry when our drinks were finished would defiantly visit to the Cove again when in the area. The girl behind the counter was very friendly and chatty. I would highly recommend The Cove

Found this cafe by accident - after a stressful morning we drove to Cleveleys and parked up by the sea front to have a very bracing walk along the prom - what better way to forget about horrible people and cheer us up!Very windy day so glad to be sheltered yet have a wonderful sea view and a really good cappucino and a generous slice of custard. Pleased to see that they also cater for gluten free with a number of packet treats.Highly recommended and will visit again, wonderful cafe, a very happy visit, thank you!

Poor service on arrival, no welcome greeting or anything. Could cut the tension between the staff in the OPEN kitchen with a spoon. No staff wearing gloves whilst handling meat and vegetarian options or anything in the kitchen for that matter. Share one fryer for meat and hash browns which are supposed to be vegetarian. Lady who handled food at the end just winged it into the hot hold as if it was rubbish. No wonder the hygiene rating isn’t on display.

We went for a large family meal 12+ people reserved. When we arrived they had run out of carvery knowing they had a reservation so we made due but when ordering we where also told they had ran out or steaks for the mix grill. We made due yet again but the food was cold and bland only redeeming quality was the outside area for are party. I will also add when paying the card machine automatically asks for a tip before you have even tasted your food or had service min options being 15%.
