Another visit here, and it just can't get any better!! Run by lovely people and in a gorgeous location, staying a bit longer this time, so we explored the local area- food at the yellow deli is a must!!

My 4th day into a seven day stay and it's been absolutely fabulous! Got treated to a rendition of Pachebel's Canon in D by a fellow guest who knew his way around the huge piano by the bar. A really well looked after accommodation!

Cara was such a lovely,warm host.The accommodation was STUNNING. If I ever need a stop over again,I will DEFINITELY be using and RECOMMENDING To book with Cara.. NOTHING was too much trouble,its dog friendly which was /is brilliant. I only stayed overnight with my Husband and Daughter,and our dog...and we would of loved to have stayed longer.

I have stayed at Monkton Court on a number of different occasions and have dined here for several events. Every time I have been beyond impressed by the kindness and generosity of the staff as well as the high quality of service that I have received. The food is exceptional (everyone must try the rice pudding) and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. I will continue to stay and dine here, and will recommend this establishment to everyone who asks.

Since the chef left the food has gone downhill.

Monkton Court Hotel is no doubt a pleasant place to stay, and the staff is indeed friendly, but our simple lunch there on 14th September 2018 was outrageously overpriced. There is a constant stream of traffic past the Hotel, which make sit almost impossible to get away.

Lovely place. Friendly staff and good coffee. Was a place to go for us in our time of need when avoiding a road closure.

Great service, lovely staff, awesome food. Lost WiFi for 3 of the 4 days we were there and noone seemed to care, and with no phone signal for 3 or 4g we were stumped.

Stopped here on the way to a sky diving day. Staff were pleasant despite our late arrival, the room we stayed in was clean and tidy but a bit run down in places with parts of the 4 poster held on with cable ties

Popped in whilst the A30 was closed. Brilliant service and good food once the chef made it through the traffic.

Good plowman's with a mix of meats and cheese. Could do with some more real Ales. Worthwhile stop on a long drive. Much better than the little chef along the way.

West Country hospitality at its very best. A beautiful period property with modern conveniences. Four Poster Beds, Open Fireplaces, Flat Screen TV's and WiFi. The restaurant is worth a visit on its own.

Fabulous food, with great lamb, steak and burger mains and delicious desserts. The honeycomb icecream is devine! Four very satisfied customers on the drive from London to Newquay who took a chance and were very impressed with the results!

We had our wedding reception there on 22nd May 2010. The whole day was just amazing thanks to the service thoughout the day and evening it was first class. We stayed the night. all the rooms are Ist class too. We would recommed the Monkton Court for a wedding day you will not be disappointed. Thanks to Colin and Jenny.

Pleasant environment and good food.

Monkton Court Hotel is an old manor house sited alongside the A30, just outside Honiton, in The Otter Valley within the Blackdown Hills. Very comfortable surroundings, excellent welcome and service, beers are very well kept and the restaurant offers excellent meals at reasonable prices. Above average and well worth calling in if passing.
