I recently visited Count House Cafe in Geevor on a Sunday, and it was a great experience! They offer an all-day breakfast that is honestly one of the best breakfast menus I’ve ever seen. As someone with a dairy intolerance, I was pleasantly surprised to find an amazing vegan breakfast option available. I opted for the vegan breakfast, which included French toast made with local sourdough, hash browns, vegetable sausages, and pancakes. It was a huge breakfast, but every bite was delicious! It was so refreshing to have a different option for once, and I truly appreciated the effort they put into creating such a satisfying yet truly delicious meal. The cafe also has an amazing view from the window, making the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Count House Cafe to anyone looking for a great breakfast spot with plenty of delicious options. I can't wait to return and try more from their menu!

This place runs out of items really quickly when busy and that was really disappointing. Several items on the menu weren't available when we went. We had to wait 30 minutes for our food to arrive and that was only after reminding staff we were still waiting. The view is breathtaking. The staff are lovely but we won't return as we can't be sure of what food will be available when we get there.

Fab cream tea with gorgeous jam, the best Cornish pasties ever and HUGE ham, egg and chips for not a lot of money. Really lovely view (weather permitted) and friendly staff. A great end to a damp, cold tour of the fab Geevor Mine

This is fairly local to us and it is a favourite for so many reasons. We visited on Tuesday 27 August which was a wet day, so lots and lots of people queuing for a seat in the cafe. The staff managed the turnaround of people finishing their meal and seating people in the queue superbly. The staff, almost all female are young and they certainly work very hard. They are the best crew I’ve come across, they are all polite, helpful and smiley…all the time!!! Our food arrived less than ten minutes after ordering, a small portion of ham egg and chips( which I’m told was brilliant, home cooked and hand carved ham, fabulous chips and an egg fried to perfection, with coleslaw and side salad….declared the best anywhere! My pasty ( ordered because I had them before) was again the best anywhere ( a real accolade in Cornwall). Margaret….pastry, filling fabulous…keep doing them. Our bill was so reasonable too. Often, I am cautious about recommending anywhere…not so in this case. Thank you to everyone involved there, you are simply the best!!

Excellent value coffee and cake, just what I needed after a bracing wet and windy walk over the cliffs. No frills but friendly staff and delicious cakes. The breakfast looks good but I couldn't fit one in! Plus you can come in without visiting the mine (well worth a visit if you haven't been before). But I was on a walk this time!

This unassuming cafe at the Greevor Mine was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Cornwall. The cafe was packed but the host was kind and got us a table quickly. A few items had been sold out but everything our family ordered was delicious. Everything from wraps, soups, sandwiches, barbecue topped chips, and 3 types of high teas were served. Very high quality food served with crisps and salads. The portions were very generous so we all took home sandwich baggies to eat leftovers for dinner. My only regret was none of us had room to eat any of the tantalizing deserts. Coffees, teas, juices, and soft drinks were available. And I really enjoyed my Oat Cappuccino.

We visited the Count House café twice whilst on a visit to the Geevor Tin Mine on a Wednesday in May during a weeklong visit to Cornwall. Our initial visit was whilst visiting the mine works buildings prior to visiting the Wheal Mexico works. The café is very light and airy with a high ceiling and large picture windows giving views out over the industrial landscape towards the sea. There is a good amount of seating here and many tables were either taken or in the case of the ones by the windows, reserved. We enjoyed a cup of tea / coffee before continuing our tour of the site. Our second visit of the day came later in the afternoon after returning from the Levant Mine. On this occasion the café was much quieter and we managed to get a window seat to enjoy the view. We had hot drinks and a large slice of cake from the counter to keep us going until dinner time. On both occasions the café was clean and well organised and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The slice of cake we had on our second visit was huge, and very nice too! I understand from other comments on this site that the café may be used independent of visiting the mine and we would certainly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Arrived just in time before the breakfast menu closed, and ordered the veggie breakfast to share. We got a table by the window and it was such an amazing view: what a great setting! The food arrived quickly and was a nicely presented on a platter, with everything perfectly done. Good quality ingredients and the flavours were excellent. We really tried to eat it all because it was so good. Pancakes were outstanding. Best cooked breakfast I've had, I think. I'd definitely go back.

Emphasis is on quantity over quality here. We had a cheese toastie which is served with very artificial tasting fries and a sad, limp salad. Would’ve been better just with a fresh salad and no fries. If you look around nobody seems to finish their food so rethinking the menu might be a good idea! Service was slow, though the person serving was friendly. Lots of lunch menu items not available.

Always had good food and service at Geevor. However was disappointed today when I tried to reserve a table for Friday and was told that I could not book a table over their busy period. Thought that was the idea behind booking a table. Anyway being a local I might not book a table there again.

We visited the Count House Cafe today and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We received a friendly welcome and found the place easily accessible and very clean. To be frank, it was one of the best restaurants/cafes we've visited during our travels. The menu is comprehensive, and the pasties are to die for. The views and food are on another level. My only regret is that I didn't find this little gem sooner. Well done, staff of the Count House Cafe, you've nailed it! P.S. We will be back for more pasties... haha!

Great little place with fantastic views over the ocean and surrounded by wonderful countryside to walk on following the generous portions that are the breakfast. Most of us had a small english breakfast, which came with egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomato, beans and toast - a feast. The pancakes were good with a generous helping of fruit, but most of all everything arrived nice and hot. Service was spot on with the waitress most helpful. friendly .... Recommended

This very same pasty used to be baked in Butters Bakery Pendeen years ago, and the Cafe usually does the same. But we bought three today, and the salt level was over the top, all three of us were disappointed, one could not stomach it. I will try again, but if the same will have to give one star, and tell the staff. Sorry you misunderstood, I said Butters made this pasty, meaning quality and taste, your pasty has allways been great, just like Butters used to be, and how I like it. The review is for the last order I had of three salty pastys, all three of us noted the level of salt. Certainly I will buy again, as I'm sure they will be ok, as history shows.

Good breakfast, service pleasant, although the kitchen is a little slow. Requested granary bread instead of sour dough as I didn't want to cut my gums on hard crusts again. Accepted by the waitress, but ignored by the kitchen. The table next to me had the same problem. Why bring me my coffee promptly when they know that it will be cold when the food arrives?

Not rushing back we was a large 7 person group. i think the staff need to be a bit better trained they where very unorganized and not very helpful and need to brush up on their food hygiene wearing jewlery and nail polish while serving food.the woman who ran the was not bothered with any complaints my potato was almost raw and my filling was tasteless and didnt seem very fresh. we was charged 2.75 for a slice of toast and also charged for a tea that we didnt order and the pasty was very under seasoned .we asked for a refund and was fobbed off with excuses. they odvisly dont care for locals eating in and to top it off we also had to wait 45 mins to a hour for the order i would rather take a pack lunch than eat there agian ......

We went for dinner and although the setting is imaginative and creative the dining room is dark. However, yet again extremely over familiar staff who have clearly not been schooled in how to look after guests. The food was actually disgusting. 3 out of 5 went for the signature fish of pork which was served with 70% lumps of fat (not crackling) my sardines were clearly not fresh. The best bit was the bread. Expensive piss take.

We loved the cozy, comfortable, and clean atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had the Naan pizza appetizer, roast pork with brandied apples, and the rice bowl. We paired it with cider. It was wonderful. The owner was friendly and very pleasant and visited each table. We really enjoyed our 38th anniversary. Thanks for the wonderful night.
