Cottons Vauxhall in Lambeth

A group of my friends that hadn't seen each other in 30 years and I went for a catch up/ brunch today. The starters lunch and the rum punch were out of this world. Our server the lovley Rochelle is such a lovely young lady, her helpfulness and beautiful nature outshone as she served us. I will say to the manager Rochelle is a credit to your establishment and she makes the experience at your restaurant an enjoyable one. Thanks again Rochelle and Cottons for making our get together a success.xx

We had a delicious meal and lovely cocktails on the 4th September my son's birthday. We were served by a nice gentleman called Gianluca, who presented my son with birthday cake, shots and sparkling fountain candles. Thank you very much Gianluca! ❤️

I have been here a few times & enjoyed myself but now they have changed the menu & chef, they limit the choices of drinks for happy hour, the food menu has shortened & not much options like the last time was here, our starters was OK, drinks was good just a little too much ice, the service was rubbish because I don't see why my table was full of empty cups if it wasn't busy. We didn't enjoy our mains apart from one of my sisters, with my food my oxtail wasn't cooked properly, the rice was so dry, the dumpling was dry in the middle like it's been sitting in a warmer all day, so I told our server, he offered to make us another dish but we didn't want another dish because we all got different things & it wasn't good, so I asked for discount, he said he can only give us stuff to takeaway & pricceded to bring takeaway boxes, so I asked to speak to manager, explained about our food, he offered to take off the service charge, I asked him can I have 10% off as it is my birthday & going to have to find somewhere else to eat, he did & I'm very thankful, but I'll never go back again it spoiled my birthday & feel bad because we all spent quite a lot of money for food we didn't enjoy. The ambience, atmosphere is beautiful to look at, but the energy & vibes wasn't there like normal, servers wasn't really good, they was so slow to come back in between food & drinks. I was so disappointed this time. I wouldn't be recommending this restaurant to any of my friends or family.

Alex, Rochelle and Gianluca have been nothing but the best at Cottons Vauxhall. Could not recommend it enough. The service, music, drinks and food has been nothing short of magnificent. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun dinner and drinks.

Bottomless brunch was great. Nice menu choices and decent portion for brunch. Food was really tasty. Rum punch was good. Great service. Regular drink top ups. Really nice setting and lovely decor. Highly recommend!

Had the vegetarian option. Holumni and beetroot salad. There wasn’t a lot of beetroot on the dish so for £16, I expected a bit more than 3 strips of Holumni on a bed of rocket salad with homus. Very disappointed, felt ripped off. Salad was drenched in dressing and oil which I didn’t find enjoyable. Rum punch was £14.00 and service another £4. Very expensive meal for £32 and I wasn’t even full.

Had a birthday celebration and overall they have Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely atmosphere, lovely drinks .....yeep i loved it there! Ha ha .

We went to celebrate a birthday. We got there for 4pm. We ordered our started and Mains at 4.30 and I had also asked that what I had ordered was suitablefor a vegan. The waitress said yes. The Starter came over an hour later. I had ordered the vegetarian Starter of fritters. When eating I could see tiny little bones which looked like salt fish to me. I asked my friend to try it and she agreed. I spoke to the manager who actually tried to tell me that it was fibres from the chickpea. At this point I had to ask the manager if he has ever eaten a chickpea as they definitely do not have bone like fibres. He would not admit that they gave me salt fish fritters by mistake. He offered to remove it from the bill. The main meal we had ordered came at 6.50pm after consistently asking the waitress for our food. The whole experience of waiting for food, getting served something different from what I ordered and waiting for drinks really ruined the celebration. I will not be going back again.

Lovely Jamaican Jerk Sunday roast of pork belly and chicken with rice and peas - all washed down with rum punch and shots.

Fantastic time we had. The service was impeccable and very timely. I celebrated my birthday here and they were so kind to celebrate me and give me shots as well. I would definitely recommend it

We paid nearly 100 pounds to celebrate New Year's Eve in this bar. Unfortunately, we were treated very poorly. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait in the cold for over 2 hours. Waiting in the cold wouldn't have been an issue if we had at least been served a drink. We didn't receive our complimentary drinks, which were included in the ticket, or anything else. Just before midnight, we decided to leave the premises due to these conditions. We attempted to speak with the bar's manager, but he instructed his staff to ask us to send an email for a refund. We followed his instructions, but to date, we have not received a response or our money back. We are deeply disappointed

Would 100% recommend! The food was amazing and I would recommend the mix build platter the lamb was to die for and one of the best lambs I have had. It was juicy, tender, and flavourful. The staff were super friendly and accommodating making the experience even better.
