Really tasty breakfast, well prepared and lovely sausages! Great value too and good service, a real homely feel. Would visit again

40 minute wait for a couple of rounds of toast. Not a busy morning, but clearly they had forgotten our order. No apology, just said they do orders in the order they are taken. Been here many times and never had such poor service

Saturday morning breakfast out . Taking 3 x dogs 🐶 always a challenge. Sadly our pup somewhat embarrassed herself in not reading the page on how to behave when in company . I understand totally that dogs are not everyone’s cup of tea , so I accept complaint and apologies to you , and hope that your morning out, was not ruined too much . I can not think of anywhere else I’d rather go for an amazing breakfast. Since first dropping in a few months ago, we have now become regulars, enjoying a regular Sunday morning breakfast! The food is exceptional, amazing big breakfasts , the staff are friendly and welcoming, the cafe it’s self, located next to the stables, has an amazing cozy feel and is stylishly decorated with beautiful handmade wooden works of art. There is even a a little shop selling beautiful hand crafted wooden pieces. I highly recommend visiting

Hugely impressed by the Cottage Farm Stables. Such a hidden gem - I couldn't believe the attention to detail on the interior of the restaurant. Fabulous breakfast, superbly cooked and excellent, lean ingredients, crusty bread and a choice of eggs and even tomato's! These guys have really paid attention to delivering an exceptional, hearty meal. with friendly, attentive, but unobtrusive service. We were both very impressed and will definitely be going back regularly! Compliments to the all the team.

Originally came here after being turned away from Elderberry Blacks for the second time in 3 weeks. This time at 12:00?! As they had no hot food left... Anyway! We headed to the stables (first visit) We wanted breakfast but they had stopped serving it so we had the 11.99 Sunday lunch instead. Wow! Just wow... From the open fire when you first walk in, to the final bill. Everything was perfect. Pork and Beef were so good. Gravy, Yorkshire's, stuffing, little sausages etc. Portion size was so generous too. Staff absolutely great and lovely homely atmosphere. Would happily pay 14.99 not 11.99. We will 100% return and try the breakfast next.

This cafe is hidden away but is an absolute must. With a horse riding school on the grounds you will forget the city stress. The home made sausages are nice and thick with great espresso with friendly staff it’s a great experience and taste. The owner is an amazing family man who is an absolute Gent. I don’t make many reviews but this was one I had to do. See you soon Simon.

First time visit to the Stables having walked past there so many times. Popped in for brunch. Very friendly staff, good breakfast, both the full English and the vegetarian version...lots of it...Good price and very good value. Will definitely visit again but will possibly order the smaller version....highly recommended.

This was the first time we had visited this café which is located within an equestrian centre not far from Solihull but in a rural location. There was an extensive breakfast menu which seemed to be very popular. We both had a cappuccino as flat whites were not on the menu. The staff were very pleasant.

Had breakfast and carvery during two visits in Dec 21. The breakfast is well priced and excellent quality, they put a lot of other places to shame. As for the carvery, it’s the best we have every had. Lots of meat that is cooked to perfection and a veg range that spoils you. Got to say also that the gravy is that good I would have it on everything even cornflakes! If you have room for desserts then you won’t be disappointed with that either. Fantastic family atmosphere and excellent food. What more could you want?

What a hidden treasure, the food is amazing. We had a sunday carvery the best I've had to date. Really friendly atmosphere and the staff can't do enough for you. We will definitely going back. Hugely recommend this place

Tasty full English breakfast reasonably priced and served well. Everyone enjoyed. Menu small which is probably a good thing. But maybe pancakes with fruit and maybe another vegan option would be good.

Parking might be difficult but we were lucky. Initially you wonder what you have come for but when the food arrives you are surprised at the quantity on the plate . We left empty plates. I had the hotpot whilst my wife had the gammon and eggs. She commented the chips were the best ever. From where we were sitting we could see a riding lesson taking place to add to the interest.We will return. Amazed how cheap for what we ate.

Saw this as a local recommendation and gave it a try. Great range of breakfasts - plated or as sandwiches - and excellent value. Decent pot of tea, and a video link to the neighbouring riding ring in the stables. Lunch menus look good too, and will be tried soon

We found this place on trip advisor and decided to visit on out way north. What an amazing find it is too, definitely a hidden gem. Staff lovely and attentive and served the most amazing breakfast and coffee. Told a friend about the place who travels a lot for work, and he's been there too now, and said he will always make the detour now!

Met with family for breakfast and all were very impressed. Sausages in particular are lovely and of a high"local produce type" quality. Staff were superb and(Zack) couldn't do enough to help and offer recommendations (amazing cake!). Very much look forward to visiting again.

We have recently had visitors from Denmark, and we took them to a breakfast, a lunch and the Carvery on the Sunday. It was just fantastic.. The Restaurant was full for the Carvery. You have to make a reservation at the beginning of the week to get a table.

This is a carvery which my friends thought was excellent. I am a vegetarian and had a pie which was also really good. the carvery is only on a sunday so best to book.

Good food, good service but our small group found the place decidedly chilly. Nice to see a small range of vegetables on sale along with other bits and bobs. If it had been a bit warmer I would have given it a 4 star rating.

The breakfast was nice but the place was dirty, full of dog hairs. Just as our food came out , the owners dog threw up on the floor behind our table, which put me off eating anymore.

booked for carvery over the phone after family member had been for breakfast and said it was lovely, had to pay deposit over the phone due to numbers, nice decor inside, busy, left sitting waiting till the staff advised you have to go up to carvery before it closes, wasnt aware it was this kind of set up, meat looked nice enough and nice portion size, no yorkshires or mini sausages left, when we sat down to eat all ten of us thought the same, everything was pretty much tasteless, veg overcooked, the mash potatoe was the worse ive ever tasted, definitly no seaosning or butter etc used, looked grey in colour, roast potatoes bland and luke warm, gravy was like water and tasteless, honestly so disappointed we couldnt believe it, worse carvery we have ever had, pudding arent much good either, had the chocolate brownie which must only be served warm when it is first cooked as we had four slices all cold. definitly wont be going back.

Excellent food never been disappointed always a good choice if entertaining friends. Out of the way place and can be easterly missed but don’t give up. Look out for the sign slightly hidden by the trees. Feel sure you all will have a memorable time there. Fresh cooked food and a very good portion no place left on your plate. No short measure.. Friendly popular and interesting place put it on your bucket list.. Excellent value guanatee you will go back.

Arrived at 10.30 on a Saturday morning, place was busy but found a table. Service was quick and friendly and the food was excellent. Highly recommend.

My husband and I called in for a short visit around 11am. The restaurant was busy and had a great, friendly atmosphere. We ordered coffee and cake, both at a reasonable price, and it arrived quickly.

Having been shown to our table, first thing i noticed was flies flying on the uncovered cranberry sauce, apple sauce etc, this put me off having any of these, Having been served my meat which was not covered or had any heating over it to keep it to the legal temperature, I asked if there any yorkshire pudding to go with the beef only for the person who had cut the meat for me to go into the hot cupboard and bring yorkshire pudding out in a polythene bag then processed to throw then into the container with the roast potatoes and parsnips, the mash potato was a grey colour which tasted like dehydrated potato, Gravy was coloured water and the whole meal was cold and tasteless. by the restaurant been so close to the stables more care is needed for the food to be covered at all times,

We had a reception here after our daughters wedding blessing.Great venue, top service and very helpful staff. Not many places have this character and setting. Delicious pig roast and extras. Laid on favourite beer. A happy day, highly recommended.

Go here regularly and love the place. The food is fresh and delicious as well as plentiful. Dog friendly. Apparently does an amazing carvery on a Sunday but booking is essential.

Marvellous food, best carvery we have eaten for a long time. Well cooked and plentiful. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Always on hand to assist with plate carrying as there is rather a steep walkway from dining area to serving area. Excellent value for money.

Have visited here before but this was the first time for midweek lunch , i had the ploughmans baguette & my wife had the tuna melt baguette ,both baguette were excellent ,both came with a side salad & crisps ,we also had a lovely pot of tea for two ,Total cost was £12.30 which was unbelievable value

What a lovely welcoming eatery. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and the food is great home cooking. Extremely good value. I cannot fault it and, as an amazing bonus, dogs are allowed. It is a perfect puppy training setting in a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. You can even watch riders in the adjoining indoor horse riding centre.

Incorporated within equestrian facility so expect a lot of flies,which is what we encountered.The cavery not ideally best placed,next to bar and kitchen areas so whilst queuing for food a steady stream of waiting staff are constantly back and forth.The actual food is edible but is very bland and only lukewarm.Also the gravy is coloured liquid,thin and tasteless.This food is cheap,so all I can say is you get what you pay for.

I had never heard of the Cottage Farm Stables until I was looking on TripAdvisor for somewhere new near to Solihull to have breakfast. We have now visited three times in just over a month and the restaurant offers very good breakfasts at reasonable prices.

We have visited here twice, and was impressed with both the breakfasts and the carvery, both were very tasty and enjoyable will definitely be attending again.

My friend and I visited for brunch. Although the review said there were gluten free and vegan options there was no soya/plant milk for drinks and my friend who is allergic to wheat had fried bread put on her breakfast. We had to ask 3 times for some jam for our gluten free rolls - and then received one small portion between 2 of us - and had to ask for some more - twice. We had to ask twice for some cutlery too. The staff seemed quite unsure of what they were doing, and didn't seem to listen.

We spotted by accident hidden away. Looks a bit rough and ready but us a little gem. The tmosphere is really chilled, the breakfasts are tasty and good value served hot and pretty quickly and the staff are really friendly. Will definitely return...

Went here on recommendation and was not disappointed. I had the full English for less than £6 and the bacon and sausages were high quality too. Included everything, egg, bacon, sausage, tomato, hash brown, black pudding, mushroom, fried bread, and beans. The coffee is good too. Generous portions well cooked. Are coming back to try Sunday lunch.

Second visit to The Stables and on both occasions ate breakfast that could have done with being hotter . Like other reviews suspect food cooked earlier and left on 'warmers' Standard of food good so shame about not being hot enough. Served on both occasions by same person who could really do with going on some customer service training course or work through some issues.

Needed to find somewhere for breakfast one Sunday morning and as we were not local we found this place on trip advisor. Very charming rural location where you could observe riding lessons in progress. They serve breakfast till 11.30am on Sunday. Very busy when we arrived at 11.15. Staff were very welcoming. Good choice of items on the menu. The full English was great value and good portions. Coffee was really good quality. The breakfast sandwich was like an manwich! The bacon and sausages were also delicious and you could tell they were high end. Very child friendly and dog friendly. All in all we loved it. When we left we saw the carvery being prepared and that looked amazing. Must try that next time. Would recommend this place for sure. Great value for the money.

We were looking for somewhere that served breakfast a little later than most and found cottage farm stables. We found an excellent tasty breakfast at a very reasonable price and very friendly staff in a fantastic setting. Will definitely return for breakfast and will look into other menus they offer. What a great place. To be able to watch the horse riding lessons and also to be able to eat lovely food in the restaurant! The food was very good and decent size portions. The waitresses were very friendly. I would definitely recommend and I will be returning again very soon!

The owners of this business obviously failed the entrance tests for the popular carveries where the meet is somehow sliced within the thickness of graphene - The Sunday Lunch portions here are huge and well prepared. The staff are attentive, efficient and friendly.

breakfast was fab and a good price . very rustic .very friendly. dogs welcome .. good staff. car park was a muddy patch and we soon realised most people were in riding boots or wellies . nice view of the horses and rider training area . worth a visit. if we go again i think we will wait for better weather . bottle of wine was pricey at 16.50 .dog loved it .

Four of us enjoyed cooked breakfasts with a few tweaks to the menu. Friendly fast (but not hurried) service. Delicious breakfast especially the sausages. Just one observation, if you don’t like dogs especially round food then this is not the place to come.

Very nice full English, quickly served and generous portions. Perfect for anybody who wants a quick meal, well cooked and very fairly priced. However, not for me as I found the wooden chairs uncomfortable and could not stretch my legs under the table due to some elaborate ornate metal work taking up all the space in which one would normally place ones legs. I could not hear the waitress due to the intrusive noise coming from a loud radio, whoever went for a meal and asked for a radio to be switched on? For people who may not know the dining area is reached by crossing a stable yard so be prepared for muddy shoes or wear wellintons.

Three of us visited today and enjoyed a really good carvery meal and for only £7.95! I had 3 meats, a huge slice of roast beef, pork and turkey carved by the owner Adrian. The most meat I’ve been offered at a carvery anywhere and all 3 tasted very good. You help yourself to veg and there’s a nice selection including mash, roast and boiled potatoes and 2 gravies. Best value carvery I’ve eaten. The puds are home cooked and were superb. I had a berry and plum crumble and my brother the spiced apple sponge, served with cream, custard or ice cream. Excellent meal served by very friendly staff. We’re booking to go back to take some friends, whose children will enjoy the horses, as well as the food!

Keep your coats on. When walking in you come across a huge open fire burning logs, it’s really nice and very warm, however when you enter the restaurant the sign on the door says it all, Please Close The Door, it’s not warm, however the staff and the food are. The food is very good and the waiting for it is minimal, the inside is like a barn where someone who has collected a lot of trophies and nic nacs has found somewhere to store them, we loved it, and our grandson thought it was great picking out the bits and pieces on the walls etc.

Open from 07:30 this well hidden restaurant serves up great scrap. Polite staff work their socks off to please. Quality and quantity!... Or something else of the menu. Not just breakfasts.

This place deserves every success in the whole world!! Every single time we have visited it has far surpassed all expectations and have provided us with the very best breakfast ever!! I will go so far to say that it is most probably one of the best ive had!!

After reading reviews for cottage stables we thought this was a must find when staying at the Premier inn which was only 1.5 miles away.

Came in today with a friend of mine for some breakfast as we were local in the area temporarily visiting the touchwood centre and it was very good food! We had the full English breakfast that is delightly served all day!
