Great food, friendly service! Reasonable prices!

Ok. Quite expensive for what we had. Food not that much better than pub fayre. Serving staff pleasant but long wait times for our food.

Excellent choice and value - but grilled mackerel was very greasy!

Portion size was more like a starter! Over priced and the food was tasteless! Go somewhere else and pay less with a better experience! I’ve fed back to Côte and the manager at the West Bridgford site seems not to be bothered ! Poor show

A lovely restaurant in the centre of this area of Nottingham. A nice ambience and pleasant, attentive friendly staff. The food was very good, great ingredients and well cooked, but the only rider was that my portion of Parmentier was very small! A little pricy considering the above. Would be quite happy paying a premium, as the staff, the quality of the menu and the restaurant were excellant, and the location central and close to our grandsons uni accommodation, but please…a little bit more😀

Had another "Christmas break" breakfast at Cote West Bridgford today. Went for Breakfast Complet with Garden Breakfast. Staff were welcoming and attentive from the minute we walked through the door. Food was superb, and staff (sorry didnt get names to give them a personal shout) were fabulous right up to us leaving. Well done everyone! Pat on the back to every single one of you

Absolutely love this restaurant. I would go there alone and I would also take my family and friends there because it’s such a nice place. The food is DELICIOUS! Very very delicious. My last visit was in 2018 but I just remembered how much I loved this place and had to give them a review ❤️❤️❤️

I was so looking forward to try their Nöel menu, very nice looking place, on the entrance, nice surprise, there was waitress from our country very kind and cherish person, but our table was served by someone else, tea and starter was served quite quickly, nice tea, starter still tasty, but You can tell it was waiting on shelf, so puff pastry get soggy. Then 50min waiting for the main, because of " miscommunication" , and served luke warm , felt like reheated, whats made turkey chewy.Chocolate fondant for dessert was perfect. And because of the trouble, manager given us 50% discount, so fair play, so far when I checked menu, I thought, I'd like to try more of those in future, but actually I can't recommend it, or say I would like to try again.

The staff are very abrupt which put us off from the moment we walked in. Coffee & a hot chocolate came to the grand total of £9.41, extortion!!! There are plenty of other better cafes within 100 yards. We certainly won’t be getting ripped off at Cotes again that is for sure!

Called in for a coffee and was greeted by one of their unfriendly staff. A coffee £3.80 and a hot chocolate £4.75, both of average quality, extortion! Won't be calling in any time soon!

slow service, more than half an hour between starter, main and dessert, took three hours to complete a lunch. Medium rare steak become medium well Still the dessert is ok:)

Great food and atmosphere. Staff excellent, special call out to Maisie our waitress who was fabulous! Had returned after an excellent birthday meal the month before and it didn't disappoint 😀

Called in to Cote at West Bridgeford on Sunday 8/12/24. We were served by Holly again, maybe who was really friendly and attentive ,we ordered and Holly arranged to have our food prepared. She asked if we needed Coffee before our breakfast,we had Coffee and two glasses of Orange juice. The food was really good and Holly's service was above and beyond. Definitely will be going again, maybe in the evening. Holly really made our visit exceptional. Great service great food, great atmosphere,great company.

Charlotte the server was wonderful. Was super cheery and advised us on the menu! She mentioned the breakfast deal, which saved us some pennies! Really looking forward to coming back for my posh breakfast! The food was really tasty, just what I was fancying. A non greasy breakfasts! Just like a spa breakfast. Lovely. £14.95 for the breakfast deal, breakfast, coffee and a refreshing juice!

First time here and will certainly come again. We were served by Kieren S who was so helpful and friendly. Food was amazing.

Shameful customer service today. Popped in for a coffee, was ignored until I asked if I could choose a table and sit down. Was instructed to wait. Was left for a further few minutes while two waiting staff attended to other matters - although the place was quiet. Was eventually seated and explained that I was wanting a coffee. Was left looking at the drinks menu for another five minutes. No one came to take my order and if I was a paranoid person I'd say I was being put in my place because I hadn't come in for lunch. When I put my coat on to leave, I explained that I had given up, and the waiter showed complete indifference and walked off - offered no smile or apology. Won't be hurrying back!

Very tasty starters (the cheese souflé, the baked camembert and the onion soup are fantastic) and we enjoyed the toasted bread and chutney that came with one of our starters. For the main, you can't go wrong with frites and you can have them as a side. The seasonal menu is varied and worth checking (the Breton fish stew, which is currently on the menu, is great) and we also enjoy the moules frites and the fish parmentier. While the description of the desserts can be a bit overenthusiastic and generous (a raspberry salad means 2 raspberries, for instance), all the desserts we tried were delicious: warm chocolate fondant, crème caramel royale, chocolate praline tart, Paris Brest. I very much like the place and the decor, but I was a bit surprised that we got to hear only 1 song with a bit of French in it over the length of a 3-course meal, as the rest of the music was all your usual UK-US pop songs. The place isn't cheap and there's a service charge on the bill, but if you can afford it, it's all delicious.

Warm and friendly staff, delicious foods!!

Recently having moved to West bridgford, the Cote breakfast offer had been highly reccommended to us. We visited on a Wednesday morning and the vibe was perfect. Instantly greeted with genuine smiles and looked after impeccably throughout, by our waitress Fanni. The breakfast was piping hot and had a nice French twist. The manager was extremely friendly too, adding to the wonderful atmosphere. We didn't make a reservation but were advised over the weekends and in the run up to Christmas it is definitely advisable! 10/10 will be back to try the French toast stakes! Thanks to all for a lovely morning.

I go every week and the food and staff are great. V v busy today (2/12/24) but the staff really looked after me esp when there were some v minor problems to sort. Really impressed.

Arriving as a pre booked group, our meal choice had been pre ordered. Drinks ordered were placed and promptly arrived. The lack of draught was irritating but was described by waiting staff as ‘too posh to pull’. This amused us and sums up the attitude of head office. French in style but far from ‘Liberty, equality and fraternity’. Understaffed and under pressure, the waiting staff strived hard to allow our visit to be an enjoyable one and they succeeded. A special mention to Charlotte, whose canny Nottingham wit brought a certain ’Joie de vivre’ to the place. A restaurant is based around its food and is key in determining the outcome of a meal. All the guest including myself enjoyed the meal. Enjoyable but not amazing. Good but not outstanding. My starter was fridge cold and not freshly prepared. The mayo in the crab had began to water and the chill dominated, causing the delicate flavour of crab to be diminished. My main was good but I expected a richer gravy. It just lacked what I expect from a bourguignon and bourguignons, I’ve made in the past. But it was enjoyable. In a world of increased food prices and energy prices ‘Cote’ served portions that reflect. A ‘pensioner’ or ‘child size’ portions would best describe what was in front. I don’t need tons of food but a little more , would not go a miss. Three pieces of beef, instead of two; a few more pieces of bread for the group, so we could all enjoy two pieces, instead of one. A few more fries on the steak. It all just looked a little… measly. At £70 per head, it does not present value for money. Cote just falls a little short of the wow factor. It’s a chain restaurant aimed at a middle class market. I can’t rave about.

Nice cozy place .. very nice stakes friendly service

The food was great. I had a really nice IPA Beer, everyone else also enjoyed their meals. The only thing to distract from the experience was slightly lax waiting at table. Empty bottles were left on our table for far too long. Some of the waiting staff either looked like we were keeping them up, or they were on a go slow.

Came here with the family for lunch today, Sunday. A positive experience - friendly, attentive staff; light airy venue; good food. To be honest, this wasn't my idea - I thought the chain was getting tired. But I was wrong - this was good.

We have been regulars here since it opened. Over the last couple of years it has frequently been a disappointment. Today it really hit the top level again. New manager Charlotte is a star. Her personality lights up the place. The food was great as was the service especially from Coran. We’re going to be regulars again!

We had a wonderful evening at Côte. The food was delicious - I had the delicately spiced curry mussels with fries, my partner had the belly pork. Daupenoise potatoes were fabulous, very flavoursome and not too much cream. The restaurant is cosy with lovely warm lighting and there are plenty of things on the menu that we wanted to try. Nicole and colleagues made it a really special evening for my partner's birthday. Thank you Côte, we'll be back!

It's a bit of a disappointment for price and brand. There's better independent places to dine in West Bridgeford. Would give it a swerve.

Fantastic champagne brunch with a friend at this restaurant. Served by Aga… so friendly, helpful with meal choices and served everything we ordered with a smile - Thank you Aga for making our visit so great. We will definitely be back again as the food was delicious and service was excellent.

I absolutely love this place. My husband and I have only been twice as we only recently discovered it..... and I can honestly say it's our new go to. The atmosphere is great even at lunchtime mid week. The food is fresh, beautifully presented and served in a timely manner. The staff, and a big shout out to Charlotte, are friendly, chatty and helpful. The staff that bring the food down and collect the plates to take them away are the unsung back bone of this smoothly run, cheerful, welcoming eatery. I highly recommend it in every way. I'm going to start to bring friends and family here for a great dining experience. To ALL the staff, thank you.

Came in for my dads birthday and Charlotte made his evening that extra bit special, it’s rare to come by the level of service, thank you so much Côte! You consistently impress and we will be returning!

We had the most incredible dining experience, thanks to Holly and the entire team! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The wine selection was spot on, and each dish was better than the last. The French onion soup was rich and comforting, the steak cooked to perfection, and the starters were beautifully prepared. But the highlight of the evening had to be the Tatar beef steak—it was absolutely wonderful, bursting with flavour and so tender! Holly’s service was attentive, warm, and made us feel truly special. We’ll definitely be returning soon! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

Amazing night here for our anniversary! They even got us a card which I found to be very sweet and thoughtful. Holly was an amazing server and checked on us all evening to make sure our experience was perfect! Will definitely be returning to try the rest of the menu.

Quite rich French cuisine. The prices are also contained and it is a good quality/price ratio. The service was very friendly. Trying to speak Spanish even though we speak English. The place is nice!

Massively underwhelming. My expectations weren't high as I'd never heard anything about the place but yet it still disappointed. The camembert starter and salmon main were both monumentally lackluster and of a quality I could have made myself at home (i.e very poor). One of us had the beef bourguignon which I sampled and I'll grant that it was a better but still nothing incredible. The cocktails were also sub par, even very basic ones. All of this at a price point far exceeding the quality of the dishes. I genuinely felt ripped off. There are numerous other restaurants in the near vicinity where you can get far better food for less money. The only saving grace and the reason for a 2nd star is that the staff were lovely, prompt and managed a rather busy day with ease. If it was a rating purely on the people then it'd be a lot higher, alas if a restaurant can't provide good food then it's just not worth going to regardless of the people. I won't be going back.

Latif warmly greeted us as we entered the restaurant. We were then escorted to our table by Dan B, who took the time to provide us with a thorough explanation of the menu. Given that it was our first visit to this restaurant, both Latif and Dan graciously fielded our inquiries regarding the various food options. The food was excellent with good portion size. Throughout our meal, the attentive staff consistently checked in on us and sought our feedback on the quality of the cuisine, leaving us with a truly unforgettable dining experience.

A very nice place for a meal. I met my old friend for a late lunch and we enjoyed our meals. We enjoyed the cheese plate and the seafood stew was perfect. All in all, a very enjoyable experience.

My boyfriend and I came out for breakfast and it was a lovely experience. We had Alex as our server and he was very friendly and welcoming. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food, drinks and overall time at Cote.

Fabulous experience: the girls who took our orders and checked if we were OK were lovely (I think it was Holly and Lydia apologies if I've missed anyone they were also lovely and very engaging. Food ... Great... we tend to choose a selection and graze when we visit and the choices were fantastic we could have eaten ut again.

Our waiter was friendly and helped us feel welcome here on our first time. He also recommended a great wine for the food we ordered. The other staff were also helpful and attentive. This place is really quite disgusting. Booked it because the breakfast menu online looked nice and there were decent vegetarian options. Unfortunately this place is very different to how it appears online. From outside, it looks rough.. as you enter there is an awful smell and the table that we were directed to for our reservation had hair, crumbs and wet marks on the table and chairs. We obviously left without eating. Staff also looked poorly groomed, it was off putting.

Have always enjoyed Cote and been to many plus had cote boxes at home. However I was disappointed with the chicken and my wife felt the same with the sea bass.

Upon entry the host was very kind, personable, and inviting. He showed a very useful system to indicate allergens, which we needed and found useful. The starters were delicious — we had calamari, whitebait, scallops, french onion soup and a crab maison. The crispy whitebait wasn’t very crispy but was still good. However, it seemed like the starters were the pinnacle of the dining experience. The mains, consisting of steak and seafood dishes, were rather disappointing. The steak frites were good but everything else was not up to standard. The children’s steak was a little too undercooked but was ok for the adults to finish off and then buy fast food later on for the kids. There were also a few bones found in the fish parmentier. For a seemingly decent price, you would expect decent food. Do not recommend. Skipped dessert to quickly end the experience — family was not happy with this ‘celebratory meal out’. Just to top it off, there was a pesky fly circling the restaurant and table — I have never been bothered by flies in restaurants outside of Asia! A rating of 3 stars is generous.

I had a waiter , look after us , called cris. He mad my wife and my evening perfect. Just little touches that make a difference. I saw , two other tables praise him for the way he was . All the staff was very Professional, but Chris went above and beyond. And. I think he is A massive asset to your company. Such a great experience. First visit for me & my daughter for my birthday treat from her & we've got to say it was amazing from walking through the door. The team are fantastic & the service impeccable. Awesome service provided by Alex and Coran. Warmly greeted by Alex as I walked in the restaurant and kindly offered a seat on the terrace as the restaurant was fully booked inside. The soup and the steak were delicious as well as the dessert very tasty in the chocolate sauce. Highly recommend, I would definitely come back.

Terrible steak. One third fat and full in connective tissue. Reluctantly replaced it but cooked more than I'd asked for and the chips and veg that was on my plate, was not replaced. Service was slow and absolutely no atmosphere at all. Felt as though we were disturbing their day. £170 paid for 4 meals from the fixed menu with only 2 drinks. Will never return to this place.

Lunch menu is great, excellent quality, good value. Moules plus steak frite 👍 But on a recent visit the maitre d was quite offhand - perhaps we weren't her sort of customer??

This place was highly recommended but my overall experience is just disappointing. I was expecting it to be good since the food is pricey, for a £24 plate of steak, I was genuinely disappointed when the food came out, the presentation was just sad with one piece of meat, some chips, and some leaves on the side, can't even consider it a salad, the taste is average, the only highlight of the meal is the warm chocolate fondant (which I didn't take a photo of because it didn't look good, so again, the presentation is not great). The staffs were lovely and smiley though. The total bill is around £80 for two, which was not worth it, not too pleased with my birthday dinner 🙂 P/s: even though my bf said on the phone it was a birthday meal, however nothing was arranged, would have been nicer if there was a little vase with one flower on the table, or a card or something, maybe I was expecting more from a restaurant like this one.

Amazing food, and couldn’t ask for better service. Fantastic range of gluten free options - I was spoilt for choice! The team had taken note of the additional requirements on the booking form and provided an additional chair for me to rest my broken foot on. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

The team really pulled out the stops to make my birthday lunch feel special. They couldn’t have been lovelier - even joining in with singing Happy Birthday! The food and wine were great, and they managed to get all the meals out together, which we appreciate isn’t easy for a table of 12. It was just what I’d hoped for - thank you!

Pre cricket at Trent Bridge we dropped in here intending to have a light meal. The warm greeting and service turned this into a 3 course pleasant afternoon dinner. Great staff, dealt with Allergy professionally and made our day out so much more enjoyable. Salad Maison was tasty, Moules meaty and seasoned well. Nice cheese plates available too. Shame no automatic bread on the table but otherwise quality food, simply served.

Charming service for a birthday visit. Tasty food, although the main course arrived tepid it was replaced without fuss and manager took 10percent off our bill. With every business problems will occur. In this case overactive Air Conditioning . How the staff deal with them separates good service from bad. I will certainly return.

Disappointing Went for Fathers Day. Father’s Day menu was overpriced and very disappointing. The vegetables were awful, creamed spinach was not creamed and was sitting in water and cold, no sign of cheese as advertised. Service poor even though they were not overly busy. So many mistakes - wrong sauces bought with mains , the waiter did nt even know what they were. They had run out of green beans we ordered so substituted some without asking. Dauphinois potatoes cold. Wrong size wines served. Tap water warm. All in all poor. Won t be going back. Also window seats are so close to customers sitting outside there was no privacy.

Birthday treat . Food as ok but on arrival we were asked ‘would you like 2 Mimosa’s for your Birthday? ‘ in such a way as implying these were free of charge . Didn’t really want them but it felt rude to say no . Was totally shocked to see these on the bill at the end . My wife paid the bill as she was worried I would complain. Felt duped .

French themed restaurant. Nice brunch options, prices in line with West Bridgford so on the slight premium side but decent quality food, and service was quick and friendly.

We had a lovely anniversary meal at Côte, we were greeted with a lovely anniversary card and welcome drink and received excellent service from Dan throughout. The food was speedy and tasted amazing !

This restaurant is our go to restaurant when we are in West Bridgeford. Staff are always really friendly, professional and helpful. The manager is excellent who clearly enjoys meeting his customers and takes the time to ensure everything is satisfactory. We generally go for brunch and they do a great French toast stack with berries which can’t seem to get anywhere else. Today I had eggs royale and my partner had the French American breakfast. Both really good and well cooked. Highly recommended

Lydia is an outstanding waitress who made us feel very welcome and valued throughout our visit. She did a great job helping us decide on our drinks and food which was amazing also. We will certainly come again.

It was my daughter’s and my birthday and we were treated with a birthday card and a glass of bubbly! We have always loved Cote and this was the “icing on the cake” for us. Wonderful!

Appalling service. Several promises made and not delivered. We had to ask for both courses when they hadn't appeared after a long wait . More than half an hour for cold charcuterie ? Uncomfortably noisy.

We came here on Sunday for my Nan's birthday as a family of 7. We were mainly served by Dan (who was brilliant) with the occasional visit from the lovely waitress and the waiter with long, dark hair. I've described them because they really do deserve recognition for how wonderful their service is. We were greeted with a birthday card from the team for my nan, which was such a lovely touch, and attentive, warm and friendly service throughout. The food was fantastic. We had a mixture of the steak, chicken salad and fish pie. All perfect! The food is always good here. The apple dessert to share is by far the best dessert I've ever tried. My Nan has dementia and this restaurant is a safe place for us as it's familiar, consistently good, and even at its busiest it runs so smoothly that you don't realise just how busy they are. She was so relaxed, so happy and enjoyed every moment of it. Including the birthday plate and candle they brought out for her. I'm so grateful for how special the team made our Nan's birthday. Thank you so much!
