Cosy Club Portsmouth in Portsmouth

Eight adults, one 16 month old and one 12 week old baby went for lunch. Prebooked our table and we given one with plenty of space for us, a highchair and the baby's pram. Good menu including excellent gluten free menutoddlers food was prioritised as she was hungry and so she wouldn't get fidgety. The food was very good and value for money. Can reccomend the custard tart for desert. Best of all was the level of service. Our waiter (sorry didn't get his name), was excellent. A level of service that you would find in a high end hotel or restaurant. This man is a credit to the restaurant.

Very much enjoyed the visit. Service was perfect, really lovely staff so I feel bad that I was a little let down by the food. It was still very nice, but a little cold when it arrived. They were very busy though and it was at the end of brunch time, what I ordered was a brunch-only item so that might have been why. I will deffo visit in the future though as the atmosphere is magnificent and drinks very tasty. I think it was probably just a one-off with the food as I've visited Cosy Clubs elsewhere in the past and enjoyed the food immensely!

We only had a couple of the starters as a snack and were not there for long . Really tasty ! Kind of regretted not going for something bigger . Lovely surroundings. Service a little weird as it took them ages to acknowledge us ! Almost didn’t bother till the hubby went and asked if someone could serve us . All in all not a bad experience. And the small amount of food we had was really good

I liked the set up and ambience of this lovely restaurant . It’s on the upper part of the restaurant area in Gunwharf quays , near the Spinnaker tower . We skipped starters morning straight to our mains , we had mushroom and chicken rissoto and salmon teriyaki . The portions are small I must say so I suggest either starters or side dishes too . They also do small plates if you aren’t hungry . The desserts are around £8 not didn’t have one . There is a good selection of wines , cocktails , smoothies . Liked this place but disappointed in the plate size .

Very chic like being in Hollywood on a film set this place is special. Russell was brilliant thank you. Will defo come back again food very good and drinks.

I ordered Seasam salmon, my husband 8 oz steak, medium done. We have got food after 55 min. It is ok, we undersand, a lot people. But steak and salmon were overcooked and burned. We ordering that meal often and we know what portion should be. It was half of portion. Virgin Mary tomato juices was too spicy and amount was much less in the glass as usual. I am glad that my sons have good food. My evening was ruined. I can send photos what we have got in this restaurant. I complained about bad food. They offered to coock new portions but we haven't time to wait of order again. They do not offered any discount. Disapointed.

Rude and uncouth Manager name Ed very bad attitude, who racial profile me after I made a complain about the rude staff who only give one margarita when ordered 2 for £11:95 in teatime tipple also brought my husband Irish coffee with the cream filled the saucer, then when cleaned up the cream was off and had the audacity to say we had been rude when complained, so disappointing with a nice venue like this.

Love The Decor, Very Atmosphere, Lovely Food, Had The Chestnut, Mushroom And Mascarpone Risotto Which Was Really Nice

Wow!! Came here by myself today and it was amazing. I had the American pancakes with a flat white & espresso martini. Everything was delicious, could not fault it at all. Thank you so much to all the staff who made my visit a very enjoyable one. Will definitely be back!

Nice ambiance, expensive cold food. Rubbish but expensive experience, my advice, find somewhere else to drink eat and socialise!

A great coffee stop in Gunwharf. Nice that it's dog friendly and that they ran over with a bowl of water for her. we've eaten here before and found good hearty portions.

Valentine's menu was a good deal but no option not to have alcohol which was a shame. Food tasted good but not big enough portions for price. Our waitress Jess was lovely. Very low lighting.

Nice decor, good service. Food mediocre. Bacon on American pancakes should have been crispier. It was fatty and limp. Vege garden brunch breakfast poached egg and the house rostis edible but over-cooked, mushroom cold and beans not flavoured with harissa. So basically beans. Sour dough toast was nice, vine tomatoes & avocado, as was the smoothie. Not worthy of a complaint, but would not revisit or recommend. Wetherspoons would probably have the edge for less £.

Small overpriced portions, but very tasty. The staff was polite and friendly, but we felt the portion size were too small.

Lovely place to relax with friends you won't be disappointed

Really great food and service. And the view is awesome. Went to a couple of places this week like the Indian restaurant on the front and Hubbox and there is no comparison. Highly recommend.

Five stars is not enough Russell our waiter was attentive without being in your face, food outstanding, our steak was cooked to perfection, the pudding was recommended and it did not disappointment mouth watering. Will definitely be going back in near future OUTSTANDING !!

Met with a friend for some food before he boarded the car ferry to IOW, and this will be a regular trip for us now! Food was superb, thoroughly enjoyed my maple syrup and bacon pancakes, and there are 2 options for sizes / portions. This was the medium, absolutely delicious. My friend ordered the cosy eggs with bacon, and he told me, "we are coming back for this again." Views are tremendous nestled at the base of the Spinnaker tower, and looking out across the harbour, service is quick and attentive, old school just how it should be! Overall, it was a quick trip, turning into a regular catch-up spot for us.

Visited Tuesday evening and all four of us really enjoyed our meals. There was only two waiters but they worked really hard to give us good service. The choice of the menu is small but we went for steak and duck meals. The fillet steak was very tender and flavoursome though it was a pity the flat iron steak was unavailable ( the difference between them is £10) and the apple tart was devine. A mess up with our starters was handled well when we pointed out the error and the cost of them was knocked off the bill.

Popped in for Brunch with the mrs and was really impressed by firstly the decor and then secondly the food. Avocado was really well seasoned with tomato and pepper, was really impressed. My partners meal was equally good she said. Will come here for dinner.

Good space, nice decor, very good service, delicious vegan burger and tasty chips. Very kind and helpful to the children in the family. A bit of a delay receiving the food but they did keep us updated. All day breakfast is a very good option too. Some good vegan options.

I loved it! Our first visit and we found it great, food was tasty and well presented. restaurant felt snug and cosy (it's actually quite spacious!) And we had perfect waiting staff!! Very attentive!

Fabulous vegetarian and meat-eater's breakfasts. Eggs poached just how you like them and great service. Really good coffee too. Pleasantly busy at 10am. Definitely book first!

We like Cosy Club and the Pompey one has to be their best? The decor's great (fittings from a 20's liner), the service sharp and friendly plus of course the food's great. Why bother with the 'also rans' at Gunwharf?? We'll be back (again)

As always Cosy Club delivers. Superb service, excellent food, lovely atmosphere. They took the most excellent care of us. It was a delight to be here. We've visited the Leicester branch & were v impressed. The Portsmouth branch went even better. My food intolerances were taken on board & dealt with professionally and with no issues. They went the extra mile and our tip reflected that. Definitely will be back and recommend, recommend, recommend! Thanks to all the staff.

enjoyed a lovely lunch today. Staff were friendly and attentive, food was well presented and tasty, 1st time we have been to the cozy club but will definitely be back and will reccomend to our friends.

After a busy few weeks sorting out Christmas for the family I decided to take my misses out for a Christmas date night here and I was not disappointed! Festive chicken burger was amazing (minus the cranberry mayo, I mean what idiot puts jam in a savoury product??? 😆 🤣) The service from the team out front was on point and pete and his chefs produced 👌 top quality food. While everyone is out enjoying the festive period think of these guys working hard to keep you enjoying it!!! Will definitely be back soon, merry Christmas to pete and his team and all who work at the cosy club!

Plenty of Cosy Clubs up and down the country, However this one has to be one of my favourites The staff are attentive without bothering you, they are always dressed and groomed well and have a good knowledge of the food and beverages. Recently visited again for the Christmas menu and the Vegetarian choice was very impressive. Food was cooked and served well and the cocktails were mixed perfectly. Would highly recommend. Their hot chocolate is worth the visit alone!

A great place for cocktails in a 1920s themed restaurant.

I had the butchers brunch and honestly the food was amazing. We were offered the opportunity to scramble, poach or have fried eggs, I chose poached; was the perfect orange runny yolk consistency. Belly pork bites were filled with a variety of different herbs and flavours which combined with the chorizo and beans was a great overall taste. Apple tart also tingled my taste buds. Service also amazing and the atmosphere is a calm ambience which was a romantic spot for lunch time

Went to the Cosy Club on a Monday night in Oct 2023. I had the gluten free burger and was a little disappointed - the bun wasn't very nice (compared only to GF options) the burger wasn't tasty, the fries were over cooked and very greasy. My two friends were much more impressed with their meals so it could just be that I was unlucky. Service was polite without being chatty or friendly. Based on this experience I won't hurry back but can see from other reviews that I may just have been a bad menu choice.

This place has a nice relaxed atmosphere and is A nice place for a few drinks but service was a little slow on our food. The food was OK but a little underwealming compared with what is available in the local area for the same price or less.

Waited for over an 1/2 hour for breakfast and the restaurant was not busy and ordered fried eggs to be soft which when received was hard could sense fellow customers frustration waiting for their food. Even when coffee was served I had to ask for my wife's tea. Would I go back again definitely no.

Can't beat a Cosy Club for atmosphere and food. Love the decor and staff dress to match the venue. Food always great and service just right!

Lovely food, quirky atmosphere and lovely Service

Think of an upmarket Spoons vibe / decor where you're served at the table and (of course) the loos are on a different floor and the prices are mainstream. It's quite large and cavernous and you'll strain to hear conversation over the general hubbub. Our waitress was excellent.

We came here a couple of weeks ago and it was brilliant! I had the prawn starter, the prawns were cooked perfectly, seasoned well and a generous portion. My partner had the duck salad, also very good. We both had the dirty chicken burger, thick well cooked buttermilk breast and the Mac and cheese fritter was so cheesy. Great service too! Would definitely recommend.

Food was great as was the service. Not rushed and able to spend a few hours eating and chatting. Atmosphere was good as was the decor. Definitely will return.

This is a really great place. Some friends and I enjoyed a midweek late lunch there. We had three different meals and all were excellent. I went for the brunch version of a full English breakfast and it was superb -- a higher quality than a typical restaurant full English. The location is also wonderful.

Got to love a Cosy Club brunch.

The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive making for great service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. There is a really good choice if drinks and the menu isn't overrun with dozens and dozens or choices like you see at a lot of other place. The food options are brilliant and very, very tasty based on what we've had so far. Great value for money too. Thanks again Cosy Club, Portsmouth. We will be returning soon :)

Great place for a lazy brunch, dinner or just relaxing on the terrace with your favourite tipple. I visited the Cosy Club a few times during Clipper 23-24 Race Start week. Had a fantastic experience every visit.

First time for us, a very good experience.

My grandson dropped his beer on the table and it went on the floor. We apologised for the inconvenient to the gentleman who cleaned ( a bald guy) who obviously was not trilled at all, no smile when we said again we were sorry. His customer service was awful. First and last. I will not recommend you restaurant at all bc of him
