Cosy Club in Birmingham

Great food, great service and a lovely location. Was perfect for our lunch time treat.

A very stylish bar indeed. Set on the first floor in Brindley place, it has a very eelaxing atmosphere, during the day. A group of 4 of us had lunch here. The menu was varied, and whilst we all chose different dishes we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality. The only issue was the musky smell emanating in parts.

Tuvimos una cálida bienvenida encantadora de Sofía que reconoció nuestra reserva y fue capaz de sentarnos inmediatamente, aunque siendo 20 minutos antes. Sofia mencionó el servicio puede ser un poco más lento, ya que el personal corto que de hecho no experimentamos en absoluto. Nos cuidaron muy bien. Nuestras dos opciones de comida eran encantadoras y sin duda volvería a visitar. Encantada de conocer a Sofía que era muy agradable y atento. Gracias.

Almorzamos en el Cosy Club antes de visitar el teatro Rep. El menú y la comida estaban bien, pero lo que más me molestó fue 2 perros grandes que estaban sentados en los sofás en la zona del bar. Eran de dos hombres que estaban bebiendo allí. Hablé con un miembro del personal y casualmente me dijeron que están allí regularmente y que limpian los asientos cada pocos días. Después de que los hombres + perros se fueron, otra pareja llegó y se sentó en esos sofás! Pienso que si se permiten perros, deben restringirse a sentarse en el piso solamente y la política / actitud de este Acogedor Club me ha pospuesto de visitar de nuevo.

Early evening meal and drinks before a show in brum. Lovely place to visit. Nice menu and great cocktails (the tiramisu martini was amazing) but for me, the mains fell a bit short. I had the Spanish chicken. It was tasty but extremely expensive for what I got. It doesn’t come with any sides so I ordered some Parmesan fries which were really underwhelming (again, very expensive for the measly portion). Other half had the burger which he said was nice but again on the small side. So, lesson learnt for me-great for drinks, not so for evening meals.

The service industry is hard, I work in it in a different sector. What really makes the difference is not perfection but how minor issues are resolved. We went to the Cosy Club Brindley Place yesterday for a treat, I have coeliac disease and the cosy club chain always feels safe which is huge for me. There was a small mix up with the order which was noticed almost as soon as the first dish was laid down before we even had to ask and then fixed as fast as they could. We felt that the care Sophia took looking after us was absolutely brilliant. Having coeliac disease it's fairly common to feel like an imposition and we avoid eating out because of that. Yet Sophia couldn't do enough to help us feel comfortable and welcome. Thanks Cosy club we will be back and thank you Sophia - if there were more of you in the world, life would be so much more sunny.

I have recently discovered a Cosy Club in our home town, bout we rarely eat in our home town, just at home! So, we were in Brum for an afternoon event so we thought we’d try this one. A bit hard to find as I was expecting it to be canal side from the description. Watery views are really only on the outside balcony. Lift or steps (even at 74 we can manage steps) to a warm welcome. Very quiet but at midday on a Friday not unexpected. We’d booked but not really necessary. Really friendly and efficient service. Our food was most enjoyable: Cosy Club sandwich with skinny fries and Ragu with Rigatoni. A waiter recommended desert (spot-on) followed by Espresso and a Hot Chocolate (though this was warm rather than hot). Two or three drinks and £85 plus the added 10% service charge. We now need to try our local Cosy Club to see how it compares 😂 Thanks to servers and the Chef

Decepcionado con mi reciente visita tristemente. Fue a cenar con un amigo. El servicio era mixto - servidor femenino era encantador, mientras que servidor masculino tenía más de una manera sarcástica que personalmente no me gustó. Una de las guarniciones que pedí fue el pan; cuando lo he comido antes ha estado caliente y húmedo y suave. ¡Esta vez, el pan estaba tan hecho y duro que no pude cortarlo ni morderlo! No tuve más remedio que devolver esto porque el pan no era comestible. El servidor femenino se disculpó por esto y se organizó para reemplazar el pan. Esto causó un ligero retraso en la comida. Cuando llegó el nuevo pan era mucho mejor, sin embargo todavía no tan agradable como el pan que había comido en este Cosy Club anteriormente. Mis otros platos tampoco eran tan agradables y por lo tanto la calidad de la comida era decepcionante - los arancini estaban exagerados y demasiado crujientes y las patatas fritas eran sosas con poco sabor o textura agradable. El mac & cheese estaba bien, pero de nuevo mucho menos bueno que en visitas anteriores. Si ha habido cambios de personal en la cocina o se han cambiado las recetas o se han deslizado los estándares, no lo sé. Mi amiga también estaba decepcionada con la calidad de su comida. Los precios eran bastante altos, por lo que como cliente esperas que la calidad coincida con esto, pero se quedó corto. Debido a todo esto, elegimos no quedarnos de postre y tuvimos esto en otro lugar. Durante toda nuestra comida, hubo una gran fiesta en el restaurante que eran muy estridentes y haciendo mucho ruido. Varias otras mesas aparte de nosotros los miraban, ya que su ruido estaba claramente impactando en otros comensales. Por lo que vi, el personal no abordó esto: sentí que deberían haberlo hecho discretamente, para evitar que un grupo estropeara el ambiente de muchos otros clientes. Me decepcionó aún más cuando llegó la factura y nos habían cobrado por el pan horrible, además de que también se había agregado un cargo por servicio sin que se nos preguntara de antemano. Le expliqué a la sirvienta que quería que se eliminara el cargo por servicio de la factura, ya que había asumido que el restaurante no habría cobrado por el pan como gesto de disculpa / buena voluntad. Ella aceptó esto. Una pena que las experiencias de comer aquí no son consistentes, desafortunadamente esto me ha pospuesto visitar Cosy Club en Brindleyplace en el futuro.

We had our valentines meal here last night and chose the set menu, and it was the best experience! The food was incredible, amazing value for money and just perfectly cooked. The service here is always fab, all the servers are friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. However, our server Jude went above and beyond to make our evening special, so lovely and really deserves acknowledgement. This has been our favourite restaurant for years, and likely for years to come. Thank you!

Brilliant place staff really good

Nice atmosphere, really good Chicken Club Sandwich, a good menu overall, nice drinks selection as well. It was our first time at Cosy Club (Birmingham BrindleyPlace) and it won’t be our last. Oh and let’s not forget about the lovely staff. All very professional and friendly.

We were here for dinner before going to the theatre. Greated by a charming/friendly young lady called Ellie who showed us to our seats. Our drinks 🍸 order came straight away closely followed by our food, I had the the house burger 🍔 which was delicious, my partner had the fish which was also first class, the restaurant is large and airy and very clean, toilets spotless, all the staff were polite and friendly, the general manager (Sophia)came over to us and was very attentive to ensure we were looked after (which we were) Ellie looked after our table and a special thanks to her for a great friendly and professional service.

We had a great brunch here, plenty of veggie options available and were considerate of any allergies etc. Would recommend!

Loved the atmosphere of this pub/restaurant with a nice speakeasy look, beautiful furniture and decoration. My meal was great (the cozy club sandwich) with good portion and fresh ingredients. Fries were perfectly salted / cooked and sandwich was tasty and with attention to details. Very pleasantly surprised as I was expecting not so great food from other pictures. Service was a bit slow but super kind

Popped in for a quick drink & a snack whilst visiting Birmingham. All staff were super friendly. Best service I’ve had anywhere in a long time. Truffle fries, flat bread & halloumi were devious. Christmas mandarin Martin was fantastic. Well done to everyone involved, great place.

Great food, perfect for a night out with friends or family, good service with friendly staff, we wasn’t booked in, but they still found room for 6 of us on a Friday night. Had the Christmas pie which was a festive special and very tasty. They also serve nice cocktails. Definitely recommend

Lots of little things made it an overall disappointing experience: - Waiting a long time to order and generally poor service - The next door table being left empty with uncleared with dirty plates for a long time - full bin in restroom - food was ok not the best Hoping for others it was just a bad Sunday we chose to go..! A shame as was a fan of other Cosy Club locations in other cities we have lived in.

Really nice place, always loved Cosy Club as a franchise. The food is incredible, and the staff is always super helpful and nice. Do recommend their 3 course Christmas Dinner, it was a really lovely time and the food itself was mindblowing.

Really lovely overall experience and the start wasn't the best. Went here for Breakfast, was seated and treated perfectly. We both ordered breakfast and tea. Our tea came, really nice. Proper cuppa. Our breakfast arrived, sadly cold. We were debating to say anything, British through and through. Our waitress noticed something wasn't right straight away and really lovely, simply said, is there something wrong. We told her both our meals were cool.she whipped them away, said chef would cook again fresh. We would have been happy it reheated. When our food did come, it was delicious! When our bill came, it had 25% off without asking. Couldn't fault. We left a tip and will definately be back. The waitress was so good. We were in today at table 26 and paid our bill at 11:43. I hope the waitress and chef get out thanks 😊

Highly recommend breakfast at cosy club. I went for the Cosy Butcher's Brunch I think it's called & it was incredibly filling and delicious - my plate was completely clean by the time I was done. We also went with a toddler and a lot of patience was shown to us. We were given crayons/colouring to keep him busy. Every single member of staff was super friendly and I really appreciated that we were not rushed through our meal and out of the restaurant. The overall atmosphere was very warm and family friendly. I didn't even know Cosy Club served breakfast and they far exceeded my expectations.

This was a very nice meal the food was really good and the drinks too. the decor is nice well presented. The service was friendly just a little slow in taking our orders for food and drinks it was not too busy but soon filled up later. The food was very good had the burger with the gravy that was lovely. i would go back again.

The food was good, although two items of our order were unavailable despite it being midday. The food we were able to have was tasty and the service was attentive.

The Cozy Club is on the first floor of a building in a bar-to-bar neighborhood. The place was pretty big, but only manageably full. It still took a moment until we were shown to a table by the window. The interior is littered with portraits of all kinds of personalities and is made to be a bit “cozy”. However, due to the size and the noise generated by the few guests, this feeling did not arise for me. The service was friendly, helpful and everything came to the table quickly. First a carafe of water, which was obviously part of the service. Ben and I's burgers were delicious, but the portions - like all of them in England so far - were rather small. Alex had a hint of fish at the bottom of her plate and Tim had one count of pasta. However, everything is probably very tasty. The price for the four of us was around 100 euros. England is an expensive place and despite all the friendliness I find the prices quoted are simply no longer appropriate for the service offered. However, this is not a problem for the Cozy Club, but rather affects all the bars and restaurants we have visited so far.

So good we went there twice during our weekend stay in Birmingham!

First time visit to this bar, I was hoping that the vibe would be as good as the one in Colmore Row but unfortunately it was not. It lacks the same character as the one on Colmore Row with its period features, it also lacked that charm that makes cosy club COSY.

We were a large group of about 17 people and whilst the food understandably took a while, it was all hot and well cooked when it arrived which we thought was impressive. Lovely and helpful staff.

Dined here in a Saturday evening before going to a concert at Symphony Hall. Service was excellent. All staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Food was really good and didn't have to wait long for it. Highly recommend.

My partner and I came here for a Saturday breakfast - our first visit to a Cosy Club and, unfortunately, it hasn't inspired us to return or to go to any others in the future. The website looked like just what we were looking for - somewhere comfortable and relaxed for a good hearty breakfast before we drove home from Birmingham having been up for a concert the night before. It was fairly busy but not packed - probably a good half full but plenty of free tables around. While our waitress was polite, smiley and friendly, the overall service in terms of getting food and drinks out was incredibly slow. We were given complimentary tap water from the get-go, which was just as well as it took almost half an hour and our waitress chasing it up twice at the bar for us to receive the drinks we ordered: a glass of orange juice and a bottle of Diet Coke, so nothing that should have taken long. There were two people working behind the bar. One guy seemed to just be on the coffee machine and not doing anything else, which may well be a reasonable strategy if loads of customers are ordering hot drinks. But he and the other person behind the bar also kept disappearing out to the little room off the bar a lot, leaving no one making drinks and serving at all for quite a few periods of time. It was just frustratingly slow. Our waitress looked like she knew it wasn't great that we were waiting so long and kept apologising. But, ultimately, they were just taking as long as they were taking to get the drinks out. I couldn't even see anyone who obviously looked like a manager (there must have been one, I assume!) trying to keep on top of service. When the drinks arrived I was shocked to discover that such a small glass of orange juice cost £6! Food-wise: it was very underwhelming. My partner ordered the classic breakfast. When her plate arrived, it looked very unappetising: the bacon looked grey, her poached egg and the potato rosti was overcooked. It wasn't very hot. She did say that the sausage was nice! I went for the stack of three berry pancakes. The pancakes themselves were very stodgy and heavy. And then there was a mountain of very strong flavoured berry compote tipped all over the pancakes. There was the tiniest amount of yoghurt on top, the 'chai granola' mentioned on the menu was a small number of seeds on top, and there was a total of six blueberries on the plate. I left half of it because stodgy pancakes drowning in compote and not much else just isn't very nice. There was also a slightly weird atmosphere in there. To be honest, if we had walked in the door and immediately felt the vibe, we probably would have just turned around and gone out again. But when you go in the main door, you don't really get a sense of what you are walking in to as you have to go upstairs to the seating area. Although there were a reasonable number of customers in there, it wasn't very buzzy but also wasn't at all 'cosy' - I actually found the chairs pretty uncomfortable. Overall: our waitress was pleasant and my partner enjoyed the sausage! But incredibly slow service, a bill for almost £40 for two below average breakfasts, and a not very comfortable or appealing physical environment/atmosphere means I wouldn't recommend, I wouldn't visit again (for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just drinks) and I also don't feel inclined to ever visit another Cosy Club location either.

Delicious food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere. The staff was friendly and efficient, and each dish was perfectly prepared. Highly recommended!

Came in for dinner before a show in the arena next door as we had heard great things and they weren’t wrong. The atmosphere of the whole place was amazing. It was very busy with the restaurant and bar area full I assume due to the show but this didn’t affect the mood or the staff at all. All the staff we spoke to were lovely. Our server Toby was absolutely incredible and was so sweet to us. Performed such a high level of service under what seemed to be quite a high stress night for the team. Such a natural gift with social skills, an amazing character to have on a FoH team. Our food came out in 25 minutes which was faster than we were expecting with how busy it was. It all tasted amazing. We weren’t planning on having deserts but Toby convinced us to have a look and I’m glad he did because that custard tart was delicious. Such an incredible night, thank you to everyone at Cosy Club Brindley Place and we will definitely be back when we are back in the city

Our first visit to the Cosy Club. We arrived early and started with cocktails. We relaxed on sofas taking in our surroundings and the decor before being seated for dinner. The staff were excellent and gave advice on the food. I had never tried sea bass and was told by my server it was her favorite, I am so glad I listened to her advice. The food was stunning we had starters, main and pudding, everything was of a high standard and well presented. More cocktails at the table, I can highly recommend the cherry bakewell cocktail. We were so impressed with everything that we are already planning our next visit.

Was going to a show so ate around 5:30pm was quiet when we were seated which was fine. Staff very attentive and friendly, we were asked if ready for next course rather than just bringing it out. So never felt rushed. Food was very good, tasty and portion sizes ok. Our only gripe would be our mains were served in not so warm plates and the food wasn't hot (only warm) when it came to the table. We felt it good value for money and would return.

Staff work really hard and are very accommodating. Had a lovely meal and cocktails this evening. Slightly on the expensive side but the portions and quality make up for this.

Usually a lot busier at Sunday lunchtime. Great position, very interesting decor with historic prints. Usual friendly and efficient service. But summer menu much more limited.

Noah is a wonderful barman, I was on my way to off myself in the canal - however after an evening spent with that fine man I now value the small things in life like limoncello cocktails. 10/10 bar man give him a raise or I will!!! Xxx

Visited today (Sunday morning) after a night out in the centre. Was quickly seated and chose a table on the outside balcony as it was a beautiful sunny day. Lovely outlook over the canal. The breakfast was good quality and very enjoyable but the experience was review worthy due to the lovely Sophia whose fabulous personality really stood out. She was enthusiastic and a real credit to the establishment. These days not many staff in the service industry stand out but she really was the exception. Her sunny personality matched the beautiful weather! Well done Cozy Club and Sophia - never change, you are amazing!!!!

Great place for a cheeky cocktail or two!

Went to celebrate a friends birthday a few days ago and was served by a lovely bartender. Leela was so helpful describing all the drinks and helping our group with the order. She made the drinks perfectly and very fast. Very enjoyable atmosphere and really great staff.

Cooked breakfast, food very nice but all served lukewarm. I sent the sausage back because it was cold, the replacement wasn't much better. Pleasant service and good quality ingredients but why can't it just be served hot??

Great location, awesome art deco decor, fantastic staff and food. What more do you want. I can highly recommend their flat whites, watermelon basil and pineapple juice and the Cali Brunch it was delicious.

First time at the Cosy Club, we were in Birmingham for a concert and looked for somewhere for food before going into the venue. Great friendly staff, loved the decor, chicken burger was very tasty. Will definitely be back.

I'm always impressed with cosy club and the lounges group- crowd pleasing menu, executed well, with a nice atmosphere and good service. This particular club is conveniently located around a number of big event venues and while walk ups may struggle on an event night, it's rarely difficult to book a table in advance. Thoroughly recommended.

Have spent the last week stewing over the horrible service we received at this place. Visiting Birmingham for the first time and decided to stop for a tea when we saw their balcony. Was a bit surprised when we were told the balcony was only for restaurant so had some desert at same time. Ordered a tea cake and a posset. Tea cake turned up in ten minutes but we were ready to leave half an hour later before the posset my husband ordered finally arrived ( seriously took that long!). To add insult to injury, we watched another guy walk up, sit down on the same terrace and order a beer- no food. Strangely enough this guy was WHITE! My husband is Brazilian. I never thought I would say this but this really felt like racial discrimination. I’m sure if I was on my own this would not have happened ( unless they are mysogenistic as well). We then had to wait for them to come back to take our payment - ended up going to them to pay. I will NEVER visit a cozy Club again in my Life. Sort out your principles !

Visited this place thrice now and the experience each time has been delightful. Breakfast is amazing, leaving your taste buds satisfied. Coffee is good too. Service is quick and staff is very friendly and warm. Avocado pea mint in English breakfast is unique and tastyyy.

It's was very busy but the staff were friendly & efficient. The food & drinks were very good.

Went for lunch on Bank holiday Monday. The weather was great, and the big doors onto the outside terrace were open, and it was a lovely atmosphere. I think i had possibly the best chicken burger i've ever eaten; it was absolutely superb! Service was excellent too. Overall a really enjoyable experience.

My husband and I visited on Friday night and the restaurant was heaving because of the Peter Kay show at the Utilita Arena. Despite this, we couldn’t fault our experience at all. Our sever Caragh was delightful; super friendly and efficient. We ordered the buttermilk fried chicken and the dirty chicken burger and both dishes were piping hot and delicious. All the staff members we encountered were so friendly and polite and although the restaurant was busy we didn’t feel rushed at all. The cocktails were excellent and the ‘Teatime Tipple’ offer is great value. Overall an amazing experience- thank you Cosy Club!

Wouldn't go again. Very expensive for what you get. Kids meal came with berries and you got about 7-8 blueberries. Adults meal was average at best for the price you pay.

Ordered some cocktails and the waitress used gloves to prepare it and even did a taste test to make sure the drinks were up to par. Brilliant service!

Delicious vegan fry-up to start a day of shopping in Birmingham. Great location in Brindley Place, overlooking the canal and ICC. Staff were wonderful. Thank you for having a full vegan on offer. Much appreciated. Will definitely be returning to try out the dinner menu!

After a god awful experience at a competitors restaurant (Botanist). We came here hoping for some decent service and my god did they deliver. All the staff were really accommodating and friendly. Going out their way for us. Exactly as it should be. Can’t wait to come back! Shout out the “man at the front” in a white shirt and the guy behind the bar with tats and a beard.

Lovely place to stop and have a drink and bite to eat . Staff were helpful . Atmosphere of the place was relaxed and could have stayed for a lot longer . Very good pint and food . Reasonably priced . Would go back again . Toilets were nice and clean . 👍🏼

One of the best brunch spots in Birmingham. The only let down was, 2 of our orders came wrong. One plate came with “pork belly” as it mentioned on the menu however it was a big chunk of fat. However they resolved this as soon as it was spotted, so thank you for that. Overall, we all loved the food and would definitely go back again. Definitely gives cosy vibes!

This place is buzzing. Had a great meal with a bunch of friends before a concert. Hadn’t heard of them before but they’ve got restaurants all of the place, so I’ll almost certainly try them again at some point.

We were in Birmingham with my folks. They didn’t want anywhere too modern so the Cozy Club hit the bill with its retro styling and feel. We were seated at a nice corner table. I asked for a spicy Margarita (not on the menu) and got exactly what I asked for. It was delicious. We just ordering a light lunch, mum had the fish finger sandwich, my partner had the Cozy Club sandwich and my dad & I both had the Spanish chicken. Food took a while but I was happy as I got to have a spicy Paloma too, also delicious. The Spanish chicken was very tasty, just enough chorizo and paprika to not be overpowering. The fish finger sandwich looked good, I didn’t taste it. The Cozy Club sandwich was good, I did try that. Definitely worth a visit.

If you didn't know how nice this place is you could easily walk by. It is upstairs so you cant look inside but well worth a visit. Had a lovely meal last night. I had the Fish cakes with poached eggs and it was delicious. My friend had the Salmon and Noodles which was just as nice. Food very reasonably priced and service was good. Would highly recommend.

Food order got lost, these things happen but no apology given regarding this and when we asked about the delay the customer service was awful. Food was also cold when it arrived and we asked for an item to be removed from the meal due to an allergy, this did not happen. We did receive a refund for the one meal but unfortunately not the point as this was a really poor experience for a birthday treat. We’ve been to other cosy clubs and had a really good experience/meal but wouldn’t recommend this particular venue. Such a shame.

One word ,scam , style over substance ,avo on toast ,cold toast ,flavourless avo ,cold ovever cooked bacon c9ld egg £10, full breakfast aga8n over cooked and cold , we were the only 5 people in the restaurant, don't bother with this hipster nonsense

We've eaten here before and enjoyed it. However our recent experience was not as pleasant. The order on both meals was incorrect. The meals were not warm when they arrived. The drinks on our order did not arrive until we reminded the staff.

Food was nice but could have been warmer. Cocktails were also nice but the man who made us drinks (short blond hair) was not very friendly and needs some retraining in customer service. Not even a “hello” or smile.

So glad we found this fabulous place. A warm welcome and friendly service will definitely be visiting again when next in the area.

Ate here prior to going to Strictly. The surroundings were nice, the food very good and the service excellent- especially Patricia.

We had a disastrous afternoon falling victim to scam accommodation and trying to sort it out meant we missed our dinner reservation at an alternative venue prior to a show. Cost club was very busy but Liam and Sophie went the extra mile to fit us in ensuring we could eat and get to the show on time. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. Our tears were replaced by smiles and we got to the show on time ! Liam and Sophie we can’t thank you enough for literally saving our weekend, you’re fabulous

It's a very busy weekend in Birmingham due to strictly show in the arena. We arrived at the restaurant and were waiting in the queue at the front desk. When we got to the desk we were told very rudely that we were late so we would have to wait at least 30 mins for a table or leave. I told the male staff member that we had been waiting in the queue and we had not in fact been late for the table. He managed to 'find' a table for us and in fact there were several empty tables around us. Terrible customer service. I was with my daughter and 81 year old mother and he was going to turn us away.

turned up not booked was quickly shown a table a number of staff members approached the table asking for drink? the food order? the food itself? when it arrived. all of which was excellent. probably the best seabass I've had in a long time very easy going staff which I love definitely be back when I can

Very much enjoyed it here for lunch. There's a bunch of these around. The only thing I can recommend to improve on is the service. When we got it, it was perfect, but unfortunately we got given our plates and that was it until we put our coats on to leave. So I found it difficult to order more drinks without seeming rude. Maybe they were short staffed for a Sunday..
