Food is good, service is incredibly slow.

Coffee cups too small & overpriced for the size.Their large coffee is the size of a small in most cafes which is unfortunate as a nice venue,nicely lit up & nice atmosphere.Staff are friendly & professional.

Terrible only got half my order put through (paid over £8 for a orange drink & very small salad) asked where over part of my order was & said they knew nothing about it but could paid to have it sorted! Differently not coming here again .. I'd rather pay less and get more with a friendly face in verdo lounge .. sorry, this diabetic lady is not happy.

Love this little gem. Best coffee in Sutton C. in my opinion! Often pop here for a nice coffee when I'm out for a wander or in need of a nice bite to eat. Sandwiches are massive! But very nice and definitely worth the money. Can't speak for the cakes, they look amazing though. Staff are lovely. Only way to improve is it'd be nice to have even more seating for the busier days... But that's not often an issue :)

First class food & service in a delightful setting. Our first ever visit to the town and not quite sure where to eat but found this place on route to House of Fraser and it fitted the bill. The food was delicious and service was prompt and with a smile. A nice feel to the place, the sweet potato & butternut squash salad was sublime, we also had a Swiss cheese and ham sandwich and some fries and hot drinks (all shared between my wife & I) - for two total £21.00, well worth it for the quality and top service. We’ll done Caffe Botanico 👌👍

Nice relaxing atmosphere first thing when House of Fraser opens their doors at 10:30 on a Sunday Morning, Only two disappointing comments I have to make and that is that certification is not displayed for "Food and Hygiene" under the the same Hygiene act.The waitresses have hair dangling down whilst serving food, the wearing of jewellery, and false or painted nails is definitely a NO NO,.....27/5/22 we called in to have something to eat and was quite shocked at the cost, a cheese and chicken cob with chilli and chips was £9 each WOW!! £18,we settled for a coffee and a scone,nice place, but at high prices the restaurant will soon be like the rest of the store EMPTY

Came on Monday morning. Staff nice and polite, not over attentive but just perfect (I hate when you’re asked if everything is fine every five minutes) I had amazing hazelnut latte with cappuccino cake, which was a bit dryish but I suppose this is how it’s suppose to be. Also had a crushed avocado with salmon sandwich, the bread was too toasted, I could hardly cut the bite with the knife although it was very tasty. All costed £15.60 Everything was clean, will visit again.

Visited today for lunch and again very pleasantly surprised. They had a good range of different food that is well priced, the tea and coffee is good and the service was great. The staff are informative, helpful and efficient, with ready smiles. All in all an enjoyable experience.

Bright and airy surroundings, food looks scrumptious and my coffee was perfect .

The staff here are extremely rude! Got my orders wrong 3 times, and then blamed me. The teenage staff workers who couldn't get a better job else where, getting 5 pound per hour thinking they can treat customers how ever they want. Never again.

Just went in for a coffee and a pot of tea but the food looked inviting so we treated ourselves! Very different, interesting and tasty food, coupled with generous portions and lovely friendly service. Lunch in Cafe Botanica could become a habit!

The coffee is amazing and the service is excellent! Happy to see this has re-opened. The best place to chill and have a coffee, well done to the staff on making this a fantastic place to vist again and again.

This place is amazing they do very good soup and the calamari is also delicious. The salad is very fresh. They do some very different yet surprisingly amazing cakes such as Avocado cake and a Courgette & Lime cake. These are 2 of the best cakes i've eaten. Very friendly service and good prices, can do take away also.

Staff were friendly and helpful but the cakes are oily. And very expensive £4.20 !don't mind paying if they taste nice.

First time at Caffe Botanico, was quite full but we managed to find a table in the window. Part self service - got to the 'bar' to order, take the cakes and pastries with you and the coffee is brought to the table. Good choice of cakes and pastries. Coffee was good and in a proper cup. Would visit again

Great staff, very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. We come in most days, great coffee, lovely food.

Good choice of food, and everything is bought to the table once ready - so no large queues at the counter.

This cafe is delightful. Always a pleasure to have lunch here. The salads are imaginative and great for vegetarians and even vegans. The vegan pasta salad is very tasty. The team who serve are great. Always helpful and willing to go the extra mile to please the customers. Every one of the team is a valuable asset with Rosie and Beth setting good examples of excellent practice. I always recommend the coffee here and the venue is perfect for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Best in Sutton Coldfield.

Caffe Botanico is my favourite coffee shop in Sutton Town centre. Lovely decor and very pleasant atmosphere. Good choice of cakes and light snacks.

Fantastic service, the team are always very pleasant, helpful and know their stuff when it comes to the products they sell. Coffee is fantastic and consistent accompanied by lovely fresh well prepared and presented food. Worth visiting!!

Unfortunately they have a problem with the water, not boiling so pot of tea was luke warm.

Fed up of not finding the right sort of Christmas presents it seemed OK to stop off for coffee! At 70 my age here was only "average" so no need to feel out of place & the service was a cut above the rest. Too close after breakfast to bother eating but next time, who knows?

This is the best coffee in Sutton. The food and coffee looks and tastes amazing. The gentleman who served us was very attentive and knew everything about the food we wanted (we think he usually makes the food) The staff are always pleasant and welcoming. I highly recommend you visit this cafe

Ground floor rather hidden in the depths of the store. Tastefully decorated. Offers light bites, teas and vice in relaxed style with ability to shop with family. Free WiFi. Plenty of seats. Good staff. Nice selection of goodies.

This eatery is far, far superior to places like Costa. The menu is varied and staff are wonderful. It seemed to be run by Italians. Conveniently placed on the ground floor of House of Fraser. I can totally recommend.

Visited here for the first time today as never noticed this cafe before, it is located within House Of Fraser on the ground floor and you can see it from the outside if you walk by.Had 2 cappuccinos and pizza slice with fries, the cappuccinos were lovely and smooth and very nice, large cappuccino was priced at around £2.75.The margarita pizza and fries was £5.90 and really nice, I enjoyed the freshness of the pizza, the richness and freshness of the tomato puree on top and with fresh tomatoes on a lovely soft fluffy base. Was quite busy and seemed like a popular place to visit for coffee and cakes.Was good to see the lady making up orders was wearing blue gloves for hygiene. Would recommend this cafe to anyone and all the food looked fresh and nice.

Popped in when hangry mid shopping trip and this place really did the trick. Decent food, caters for everyone with vegan and dairy free options (we had a chicken pesto sandwich), the coffee is good quality, the cake selection, however, flippin lovely! The staff were lovely, especially kiara......

Great soup, drinks well priced. Its a nice setting with friendly service, lovely croutons as well. One of the best places to eat in sutton coldfield.

I visited this cafe with my girlfriend and was blown away by the food. The chicken and pesto sandwich sampled was to die for and the Chocolate and Ferrero Rocher Cronut is incredible. The staff are friendly and helpful and the service was quick and efficient. Will definitely be coming back to eat again.

Very convenient location in Sutton's major store. Good meeting point for friends either as arranged or by accident. Coffee best point. A excellent salad for health reasons.

I brought my mum here for a birthday lunch and we had a really nice meal. The goats' cheese and roast vegetables were really nice and came with a very tasty Greek salad and potatoes - fresh, delicious and very attractively presented. The staff were pleasant and the food was reasonably priced. It's a very new-looking establishment, a relaxing environment to sit in with plenty of space between the tables. I really liked it and would happily go again.

On Sunday we reserved an area of the Cafe to do afternoon tea for 20 people.

I attended the cafe on Saturday just gone and although it was very busy the young lady went out of her way to clean and prepare my table for me when she saw me go to sit down at it. I often visit this cafe and I have never felt unwelcome. A great cafe with great staff.

Staff are always so happy to see you, and there is a great atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Went in at 11.30 on Sunday 30/12 /2018 sat at a table that still had cups etc from previous customer,a young girl with glasses delivered drinks to the next table looked at the dirty cups and plates ignored them and walked past ,I politely asked if she could clear them she huffed and picked them up I said thank you ,she gave me a dirty look and without speaking walked off ,this is easily the rudest person I have come across in a cafe or restaurant,quite an achievement.you would have thought house of Fraser would want to keep customers,clearly not here .never again Sutton is full of coffee shops .i employ dozens of people if any of them treated a customer like this I would be mortified

I was very critical of this place on our first visit with respect to hygiene, we have revisited recently with friends and I was pleased to see that the criticism has been taken on board and hygiene rules now seem to be in place.

Great coffee and scones but such arrogant baristas. Hang around in a group by the coffee machine chatting. Girls serving at the tables are lovely - can not understand the difference. Would have been 5 stars without the baristas ‘attitude’.

Great place for a quick coffee or a tasty lunch.

Lovely place but waited 18 minutes for pot of tea and most food served contains cheese and most cakes nuts so when your allergic to both there's not a lot of choice.

Having a quick wander around the Gracechurch Centre on the lookout for a nice coffee and snack place and we happened to see people eating through the window of what I think used to be Beatties? Caffe Botanico is nicely lit, clean and with a "rustic" feel to the place - which is impressive considering it's located within a brightly lit corner of a store. Super friendly staff, decent coffee - and a very tasty crunchy chicken piece accompanied with a feta and tomato salad that left me both full and impressed! Sutton has been in need of somewhere like this for a while - away from all of the mainstream coffee shops - and it does it very well. Highly recommended and definitely somewhere we will revisit soon.

Having watched staff load the dispay cabinet with food this morning, I would never eat there or advise anyone else to do so...

Absolutely blown away by this place. Stumbled upon it accidentally, beautifully colourful HEALTHY fresh food (hard to come across these days) staff all have the biggest smiles on their faces and nothing is too much trouble for them. Ordered a latte that was delivered to my table before I had chance to sit down and it had the most beautiful milk art on top that I’ve ever seen. Will definitely be back , my new favourite place in Sutton .

Got recommended by a family friend , was advised to try the frittata with salad bar but just couldn’t resist the traditional Italian offerings they had so decided on a rustic ciabatta Parma ham with some cannolis for dessert and an aperol spritz to wash it down. Felt like I was in a little restaurant in Milan. My friend was equally impressed and we will definitely be returning for our next girly outing.

This new place in Sutton is the place to be. Great coffee light lunches and some great cocktails on offer! Service was great and a good place to meet. Will be back!

Caffè Botanico is an excellent restaurant for lunch tea or brunch. It is light and airy and easily accessible for anyone in a wheelchair. The staff are intelligent and skilled baristas. Always polite and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The cappuccinos are the best in Sutton Coldfield. The salads are fresh and different every day. I especially like the lemon scones - crisp on the outside and soft inside. We go there every day.

Dreadful. Went here today for the first and last time today. Dry hard scone and a latte that looked like a flat white and tasted like mud. Took it back to ask for the latte we ordered to be told that was a latte. The Barista reluctantly made fresh coffee that he brought over to the table and said its made with one shot this time and slammed them down on the table. Milder coffer but lukewarm. Hubby went up to the counter and asked to speak to a manager as unhappy with everything, to hear, "Who the f--k does he think he is". as the barista went to get manager. To the cocky f----r of a barista, we are the customer and we pay towards your wages. I have been in customer service longer than you have been breathing and your attitude is absolutely dreadful. I suggest you get some lessons in how to speak to people and lose the attitude. To the manager I suggest you look at your staff in particular this idiot, if he worked in my team he would be sacked on the spot for speaking to a customer like that. Dreadful food, dreadful coffee and bad attitude.

This has not long opened in Sutton and it's a great addition to the coffee scene. It's a bit more spacious and elegant than the other coffee houses and the food - mainly cakes and snacks, is very good.

I returned here after a few months away and was delighted to find the same high standards as on my first visit here. The place was light, airy and clean despite it being a horrible freezing cold, snowy day outside. I had goats cheese and leek frittata served with a bowl of assorted salads. The frittata was hot and delicious and the salads fresh and of excellent taste. The meal was less than eight pounds and I thought it good value given the pleasant surroundings. I would definitely return here for coffee, cakes or a casual lunch.

Can recommend the coffee and pastries. Delicious! Good atmosphere and great modern decor. On our list to return for a light lunch and more coffee/cake! A real treat.

This is a brand new restaurant and caffe which has opened in the refurbished House of Fraser in the Gracechurch centre. I was very impressed with my first visit here. It is a clean, modern place which gives all the impressions of being new, so I hope it keeps it up. Coffee was excellent and they have a superb range of pastries to accompany. Of course they serve more substantial meals of the Mediterranean variety in the main, and I look forward to coming here for lunch on one of my next visits. The caffe is licensed and serves prosecco, wines and so on. Prices are 'average' for the kind of up-market caffe that it is.

Had a lovely lunch and prosseco with my daughter today ! Just came across on our way out and it just drew us in literally , cosy, luxurious decadent , extremely amicable staff and the service was excellent it is 5star service ! Yep we will be back .

Saw the recently opened cafe when shopping some friend and I decided to go for morning coffee. Decor is lovely and tables not crowded together. We ordered coffees and cakes. The cakes are on a counter to help yourself but there was nowhere to put the dome plate cover so it was a juggling act. We were told the coffee would be brought to our table...it was but quarter of an hour later and it wasn't even busy lunch time..we thought they'd forgotten us.

This is second visit and lovely cafe and food, but service really needs to improve. The first time waited 20 mins for just a coffee, second time it didn’t turn up until I asked. However they were very apologetic, so i will return.

Absolutely shocking service. 20 min after ordering my coffee I received it. I had already finished my lunch. The staff seemed to be just doing there own thing.

They've done a magnificent job on the place, it really is stunning. Would have been five stars, but almost lost patience waiting for my flat white. Hopefully the speed of service will improve.

Popped into the house of fraser store in sutton coldfield this morning and to my surprise inside they have opened a new cafe, Caffe Botanico. Newly opened today, very attractive modern deco, welcoming staff, lovely display of food and coffee on offer at reasonable prices. A must for any visitor to drop by. A big thumbs up. Good luck to the caffe botanico staff on their open day.
