I asked for a decaf iced coffee as I can't drink caffeine as it gives me jitters, and the staff gave me an iced latte with caffeine. This is actually not the first time this has happened and I only feel the effect after I drank it all as decaf and caffeine basically taste the same. I also notice they overcharge as well as I paid £5.35 for the latte but other places I'm paying £3.80-£4.00? Really disappointed.

Very good service from that lady who wear glasses, her customer service is amazing, plus she make the drinks spot on .top.notch .well done .

I often go to this costa and every time they automatically either charge for medium or when prompted will almost certainly never prompt small size cup. This appears very much a tactic to charge more for a larger cup. Unacceptable.

*Update: Walked in on Sunday 17th March at 15:21 for a cortado. The young tall member of staff didn’t know that it must be made with full-fat milk. I’ve had to challenge him that by costa red book it has to be that milk. He agreed after a few minutes. However - they didn’t have full-fat milk, so I’ve asked for alternative full-fat milk like coconut and have been told I would be charged for that despite they don’t have the milk they should to make the drink. Costa standards have dropped to the very bottom of English Channel. One of the worst Costa branches I have been to across the country. Staff do not know Costa Brand Standards book at all. Not sure if they know it exists. By default they make flatwhite with semi-skimmed or skimmed milk, when it must be full-fat, they overheat the milk making most drinks taste weird and not genuine Costa flavour. You have to ask them to put full fat milk every time in your flat-white - ridiculous! 9/10 they will tell you there is no full fat milk. All drinks I have tried there (cortado, flat white, coconut milk flatwhite) taste really bad. The SLOWEST Costa Service you can find, especially at a station, where speed of service is critical. More than 3 people in line becomes a problem and staff cannot manage. Shop is not managed efficiently to put it softly. When the queue is right next to the door (7-10 people) staff do not take further orders, serve people by one and instead of sorting out the long queue that needs to get to work the staff look lost, not knowing what to do - hah - they might as well just check their Facebook ! Clearly wiping the fridge comes last according to common sense when there are 10 people in queue. I have raised this with Costa Head Office and no action or response has been taken. People, go to boulangerie jade - it’s much better in from A-Z and local !!! :D Merry Christmas !

Unfortunately the service was tragically bad I had to wait a minute before being served to only wait for the contactless machine to work luckily I didn't have any urgent appointments to attend. Overall its highly unlikely I'll visit this particular branch again due to the fact the staff there need alot of customer service training!!!.

No coffee taste at all. And it smells really funny...milk might be expired.

This was a commuting stop while I was in town for a meeting. The atmosphere was quiet but there was nothing the staff could do to improve it. It’s simply the area and the busy nature. The staff were both lovely and they provided me with a friendly and quick service. The drink was warm and well made, and their patience was admirable considering it was busy and I was having trouble with my cards. Would highly recommend, and thank you to the two young Asian ladies who served me that day.

First time trying Costa coffee. We ordered hot chocolate and Choco Tifini? Not sure if it is the correct spelling but it tasted amazing. It was not too sweet and it has a crunchy texture. Staff were nice too

Really huge shout out for team which is amazing , served me a nice drinks and food. Whereas, Another great place of coffee spot next to woolwich DLR station. Menu keeps evolving to meet every budget and the range of products means there is something for everyone at any time of day! I personally love the great value drinks (gives pricier merchants a run for their money any time!) and sandwiches , which I somehow manage to add to all my orders! The points scheme is also fabulous and those points quickly add up to genuine freebies from the menu - but please add the option to buy a larger or sandwich with points 🙏

Busy little shop next to DLR, coffe was different than my usual costa,

I've been a few times however this is the first first time I've been around lunching hours. I found the atmosphere quite unsavoury. Line was long with no proper system in place to expedite this. My turn was rushed and no proper communication between barristas. The store has so many flies and they were landing on the stack of paper cups above the coffee machine. Sorry but what? At the same time, there was some dodgy looking men walking in and out the store which made me have to look over my shoulder a few times. They were locals to the area clearly, and we're back and forth between the station entrance and Street entrance. Anyway: I ordered a salted caramel frappe and I would say it was not nice. I have this all the time from other branches and, this was so tasteless it was like blended milk with a few sprinkles of sugar on top. Wouldn't bother again it's was expensive trip for that experience.

What a terrible coffee they doing! What is wrong with this people? I'm drinking Costa everyday and I know how it taste. This is not a Costa and these woman's are not Baristas!

I just wanted to give 5 stars for the staff named Like ( I cannot remember her Chinese name ) she was very friendly and when my son spilled his milk, she cleaned up quickly even though she was the only one working there at that time. Well done, girl!

I used to like Costa. Last time I went there I couldn't even taste the coffee on my mocha so I thought...maybe they changed their coffee and now is weaker so the next time I ordered 2 extra shot and still didn't taste any coffee. It's sad because the food is fine. But the coffee just changed my whole perspective of costa.

Very kind staff, good coffee, hot sandwiches. It's open very early so it's great for the people are in hurry to go for work and need a cup of coffee.There are some places outside too. I highly recommend!

Ordered an oat latte and received a large hot cup of oat milk, no coffee taste whatsoever. This is the second time (last time was a few months ago, I hoped they’d improved since then but sadly they’re still a coffee shop with terrible coffee). They’re also notoriously slow in here. I have visited a lots of Costa and they were so awesome and this Costa Staff was arrogant, rude and they don't even respect the customers. They will spoil Costa's name and Such a pathetic service.

Not great Costa, only take away cups and packages. No cups or plates! I would say avoid, but you have little alternative choice. Best just to avoid Woolwich completely if you can.

El local no esta mal ,fue renovado hace poco pero no le doy cinco estrellas por que las mesas estaban sin limpiar y se notaba que no las limpian muy amenudo y lo otro es que no tienen un Lugar apropiado para tener el azucar las servilletas etc, y no tienen un bin para tirar la basura solo una bolsa mal puesta sejeta a la mesa donde estaba ek azucar ect.

With out doubt the worst Costa I have been to. I have lost count the amount of times they have messed up my order. Today, as always, I ordered a Medium Latte with oat milk and hazelnut. They made it with dairy which I have become intolerant to. Aside from the fact I can’t drink this, my main issue is what happens when somebody has a serious reaction to something because of a mistake. Natasha Ednan-Laperouse.

Never have anything available, not even frappe on a hot day. Unless you want just tea or coffee you can forget everything else. Only tell you when you spent 5 minutes queuing

I have visited alot of these shops over the years and it is sad to say that this would no doubt in my mind be one of the worse. Staff are rude drinks are thrown together in a cup that look like it was aboard a boat across choppy waters and the seating areas are left filthy. Come on guys pick up the pace a little.

Staff seemed overwhelmed, got one order wrong for customer ahead of me, got mine wrong also. I get it's a busy branch, but to get two orders wrong in the 5 minutes I was there, wonder how many others today.

It is next to DLR station. If you have a free coffee promotion by vodafone or any company , you should not go there cause they are still charging you!!! Even 0.005 pence lol ! 🙈🙈🙈

They aren't very good at making cappuccinos or lattes and the staff are so rude. I've had money snatched from my hand and eyes rolled at me. Also it always takes absolutely ages to get your order most days

Today I was here at 6 in the morning to have my usual coffee. It was a great pleasure to see the girl who came back, she is the same girl .... works hard and always with a smile on her face. Keep it up.👍

Lovely staff, anxious to provide good service. Unfortunately the large latte had NO taste whatsoever! (I only ordered one of that size as had a 'earned' a sufficient number of 'beans' so thus was entitled to a free drink). They replaced it but sadly no better. The man told me that a large latte has 3 shots but a cappuccino has 4. I begged him to empty some out and 'top up' with more coffee. He did and ithe drink then finally had a coffee taste, but the taste was rather 'rank'. I don't think Costa stotes generally are particularly successful in producing good lattes, I've found it 'hit and miss'. Not a very wide selection of cakes here.

I regularly go there for a latte. Occasionally I stayed inside to drink, mainly takeaway. Their drinks are always fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend it!

Very nice place after they reopened. Almost every day coming here for coconut mocha with caramel or with their special festival chocolate syrup. The staff is lovely with customers. Apart from rush hours.))

Don’t waste your time here, they always get the orders wrong. This is the 5th time in a row now. Won’t be going back.

Terrible service. We paid for a gingerbread latte with a slight premium and instead received a regular latte. After trying to communicate that the drink was clearly not what we asked for, the staff lied about putting in the flavoured Liqueur and the gingerbread man in the drink when I could clearly see what the barrista was doing. A second member of staff proceeded to conflict what the other was saying, mentioning that the gingerbread is only accompanied with the cream. Firstly, that's ridiculous, why I not just pay for a regular latte of it doesn't have the contents I asked for? Secondly, the staff were clearly lying at this point. The staff are not all trained propperly and I won't be going back.

Very bad costumer service especially the lady at the till the black lady when I asked to add my points on my app so kissed her teeth , very bad attitude . That’s not all I went there with my misses ordered 2 coffees, they served the 1 one and then left me hanging and waiting , people were coming in and they was getting served and they didn’t still made my coffee until I told them obout it , they didn’t even said sorry , and the milk jug was very dirty , it look like it wasn’t cleaned for weeks … very bad costumer service from there don’t get ur morning coffee from there I don’t recommend it !!!😡😡😡😡

The store situated within the train station. Great spot to drink espresso and to unwind...

The Baristas have not got a clue at this branch. They serve customers in the wrong order - you're left waiting for your order whilst people that have ordered after you have been served and have already left... There's a real lack of organisation and care here. Better training for staff would not go amiss.

I've been looking forward to coming back here after the revamp but I'm left feeling disappointed. I've come here for my morning coffee 3 days in a row and it is been scalding hot, with burnt milk. It has been so hot that you can't even hold the cup (what happened to those cardboard cup sleeves?) and I haven't been able to drink it until I get to work. Won't be coming back until the batistas get proper training.

I love Costa coffee but the shop I went to wasn't so good. They're slow. Customer card receipts were just lying on the table where other people could see. Very unprofessional

Seems very disorganised - long queue, nobody socially distancing. Two baristas making coffee, one person serving (albeit very slow) - only came here for convenience, but I could have gone to Brazil myself and made the coffee quicker!

In the past 2 weeks I have placed an order through Just Eat. On both occasions either the wrong hot beverage has been sent or items have been missing.The manager was apologetic,but they really need to be more competent when preparing and really to check orders before they are dispatched.

Use here often, (latte with soy milk) before work the staff are a breath of fresh air, theres a few new members and I'd like to give a big shout out to Charlotte (believe that's her name) always upbeat when under pressure. Great job guys :-)

Cant really go wrong at a costas

Absolutely disgusting attitude from every member of staff that worked there. I ordered a drink that takes most Costa stores 4 mins max to make , they proceeded to take 10 minutes to make it and didn’t even apologise for the wait. When I tasted the drink it wasn’t blended properly and there was ice that hadn’t been blended at all. When I went back to request a refund, they pretended to ignore me for 3 minutes while they stood there gossiping even though I was the only customer in the store. When I asked for a refund they then pretended that they couldn’t hear me even though I was talking loudly , calmly and clearly. Once they finally understood , they made a huge deal out of giving me a refund and tried to accuse me of “just being difficult”. Once I finally got the refund (after 5 minutes of debating it) they then tried to make out that I was the one in the wrong by sending it back. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour of all 3 of the ‘barista’s’.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this time I couldn’t hesitate.. I asked for the coffee at 5 in the morning, whilst I’m rushing to work.. I explained what I am after, and unhelpful and unprofessional lady got it wrong (even tho the conversation about my request took over a minute), I guess she was just not in mood at the time. I work myself in same branch, and I know everything if possible (especially espresso with hot milk up to the top). It’s only 5 in the morning, I left angry and disappointed- that’s definitely not something that you expect when you step in to Costa just to grab a coffee.. I think your staff needs additional training on how to deal with customers.

Horrible experience ... The girls are super rude and ignoring a request ...I did ask a simple change of my coffe and they acting like is a big deal and then if you are brave inaff to ask them something they just rolling their eyes on you and throwing your change back to you ...specially the blonde girl ... This is not how you working with costumers and if you can't be nice then do not work in hospitality... This Costa coffe is full of rude girls and the nice Hungarian girls left because of them ... Have to do something about it because it's not normal !!!

I'd honestly recommend avoiding this Costa branch. If you want a caffeine boost or a slice of cake it's probably fine, but if you like to enjoy your coffee you're better off going to the coffee lounge around the corner... I've entered this store many times hoping for improvement and I've always been left disappointed by the burned taste that my coffee brings. There have been occasions where they have made my coffees completely wrong, or ignored a simple request I've made such as 'not too hot please' and I have watched them reuse old milk in the bottom of jugs regularly. Just today I ordered a flat white 'not too hot' and watched as they used semi skimmed milk (I'm led to believe the official Costa training recipe states full fat milk) when I specified I wanted full fat milk I was told by one member of staff that it was full fat milk and by another that I should've made this request at the till. They ignored my request and continued making my drink with semi skimmed milk which I established was also much too hot and burned despite my request for a cooler drink.

Friendly staff, good coffee, the only problems is there are NO toilets unfortunately.

There were flies over the cakes as there is no window on both sides of the glass. I told them this and all they did was move the cakes to wipe underneath and then put the very same cakes back!! The baristas working there aren't that good and coffee tastes burnt. Everytime I have visited to dine in I'm not even given a spoon or the essentials e.g. small plate with napkin.

Most of the staff don't know how to make a Flatwhite properly, so I wouldn't recommend ordering it. You can ask them to re-make it, but they will just do it badly again and give you some attitude too. Their customer service is poor, at least in this respect. I am not sure about their other drinks as this is all I have ordered there. Some of the barristas are good though. Also, it isn't a great place to order coffee to drink in either. Most of the tables are occupied by customers who pay for take away coffee then sit there for hours. As a result, it is quite difficult to get a table. The furniture and floor look very tatty and quite dirty. The doormats at the entrances are filthy. This outlet would benefit from a full renovation. I find it amazing that anyone who had visited this Costa recently would award it five stars. Perhaps those reviews are just very old.

All the stuff there are friendly and nice , except the rumanian Menager, he thinks caught the sky because he’s Menager in there, is so rude most of the times and no respect for him costumers. Shut be an investigation from COSTA company to it.
