I will not go into detail because I will bore you and then you won't continue to read my review. Basically this place is no better than a chinese takeaway with dated decor and bright lights. Awful customer service and although the food was edible it certainly didn't merit it's price tag. AVOID , go find a better place, we're in our capital city, there's a million better ways to spend your hard earned money.

This is my husband and I's local dimsum spot..The food always come swiftly, freshly cooked, very hot and always hits the spot 👌🏽We really like the dimsum here... served until 4.30pm..We've also been here for dinner, ala carte menu and the food has been consistently delicious..The staff are always very helpful but very busy. The interior, however, could do with a bit of an update; we dont mind it as we come here for the food, but if you are one that likes a bit of an "ambiance", then you might find this place a bit outdated..Having said that, if you want delicious, fresh, no fuss, Chinese foodn then you will enjoy this place.

Excellent Dim Sum and truly the same taste that I used to have in Hong Kong. Very friendly staff and helpful. Dishes serving hot and quick! Very good dining experience. But, there was an unfortunate thing happened about the parking. I have followed the instruction in the menu to pay the parking before I left the restaurant. The user interface only allowed me to enter the departure time (no option for the arrival time). So I presumed that the arrival time was recorded by the system and the fee would be calculated automatically. Howevee, later I received a PCN saying that I did not pay the full charge and the fine is £100! I am appealing this with the Car Park Enforcement and hope SaiKei can reflect this to the Parking Company about the problem of the user interface. It definitely refrains me to visit SaiKei again if it's not solved.

Don't agree with the other comments on the service. The staff were attentive when requested and used initiative as well, I think lack of extra courtesy is due to being busy. Location is slightly further away from public transport, but easily accessible with a car. To begin, food was a mix bag in my opinion. Siu mai, har gao, hor fun, Cheong fan, char siew bao were ok but the rest were a big miss. For example, custard bun was all dried up and not watery enough. Service wasn’t that good as dishes were served incorrectly to us multiple times, it looks as though the delivery system was off. We were also charged incorrectly for a dish that didn’t arrive but we managed to rectify that from the bill. Atmosphere is alright but not the best that I could imagine.

He was fined 100 pounds after he sent the letter, and he paid the parking fee for that day. The parking culture is very confusing, and you will be fined for filling in the wrong information. In short, everyone should be careful to verify the parking information before eating. This After this time, I will not drink tea at Century again to avoid another unnecessary disaster!

November 2023 I went to century restaurant in Greenwich, I rounded up the bill so as to pay a bit service charge. The waiter was polite and didn't protest. Unlike the previous time when I paid a fraction of the 15% service charge, the waiter threatened to take a photo of my car registration number and send it to Greenwich county council. These waiters had no manners and would openly argue with customers despite the fact that the bill says Service charge is discretionary. Last Sunday, I paid cash £70 to clear the bill of £66. The waiter said, "You're not paying the service charge 15%?". Again, hassle in this restaurant. I put down £1 coin extra, He said, "My manager will query me for this." I told him that the word DISCRETIONARY meant just that and we left. This thuggish greedy waiter was so rude. They already increased the price of King Prawn Fried noodles by adding £2 since November. MY ADVICE: Give half the charge and ask if the waiter knows the meaning of Discretionary. Ignore their rudeness!

For me, the food was bog standard, gloopy, greasy and totally uninspiring. It is also overpriced, working out at £40 per person, including just one bottle of white wine, so very little alcohol. One of the better dim sum places in London. Loved the old school canto vibe of the restaurant. Very popular with locals - there were queues at 11am. Make sure to get here before to avoid the queues. Overall, the dimsum was of a very high quality. The chive and prawn dumplings were some of the best I've ever had. The steamed ribs were very good too, along with the cheung funs and turnip cake. The shanghai soup dumplings were slightly below average, and the congee was slightly underseasoned. Chilli oil could've had a bit more complexity. It just tasted spicy with nothing else going on. Service was friendly and continued that way despite the huge volumes of people that they're dealing with. Would highly recommend going if you can drive to Greenwich!

The dim sum is good and with most of the dishes around £5. The fried noodle and hofun dishes are yum, but the portions are small. Service is good is good and reliable. For the atmosphere, it’s typically in traditional Chinese settings.

Poor customer service, some food ok but prep & hygiene questionable! - Not my regular dim sum place but decided to try after a few years as we happened to be local. Went for lunch on a monday so it was quiet but upon arrival all the servers didn't even acknowledge us so first impression wasn't great. - After finally being seated although there were only about 10 tables aside from us it was difficult to get someone's attention to take our order. - While waiting for the food I noticed the spoon set on my place had some crusty old food stuck on it, not entirely shocked at this point. Luckily there were spare cutlery on the table so didn't have to go through the hurdle of getting someone to change it. We gave all our cutlery a good rinse with hot water before using it! - After browsing the menu we noticed that they don't serve deep fried squid which is a dim sum staple and a favourite of my daughter's so that was disappointing. - The dim sum we ordered was generally good but decided to top up with an order of ho fun stir fried with 3 roast meats.. wish we hadn't as the dish was strangely sweet and the ho fun wasn't particularly hot considering it had just come out of the kitchen. To top it off my mum also found a piece of plastic styrofoam in it! - Everything combined and what appears to be a minimum charge of £3.50 for parking regardless of the duration I won't be returning to this place.

Food and service is ok. Sometimes is curtain individuals which could provide bad service. On this occasion served two of the dishes wrong, ordered fish congee and got chicken congee. Parking will cost £3.50 for 6 hours, no other options. Little over priced for lunch on dim sum.

At first I thought I walked into the the wrong place, the restaurant? If that's what you would call it is very dated. The carpet is coming up and for a Friday evening there wasn't very many people. I found the food to be overpriced, eg the mixed starters couldn't be ordered unless there was two people, and when it came out you literally got 1 rib, 1spring roll, 1 prawn toast 1 chicken satay for £10 each (£20 total) it was daylight robbery. The other starter was just as bad, X4 small prawn balls (had minced prawn....or what I think it was?? Didn't taste much like prawns ..I used to having a whole prawn in batter or breadcrumbs) I was disappointed that I actually didn't bother ordering a main and went to a different Chinese restaurant!! The service was atrocious! Nobody greeted us at the door although it said "please wait here" After a few minutes we went into the main restaurant and caught a servers attention to be seated. After 20 mins nobody had come to take our drinks order, so AGAIN had to call a server over to take our order! On the plus side the mains my friends had were nice, however we couldn't wait to leave, I definitely would NOT come back here! Had to ask twice to get the bill, had to ask twice to be bought water... TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! PLEASE Avoid!!!

Whether dine in or take out...a rare example of a varied menu done right. Superb. The beef stew is a recipe we are trying to copy at home :-)
