Costa Coffee Tiverton in Mid Devon

Super lovely staff, helpful and kind, lively and busy atmosphere but not overbearing, even a christmas tombola out! was a lovely place to stop for a quick coffee.

Lovely friendly staff and top service. Spoilt by being a very noisy environment. Smokers sit out side the on their tables and chairs so the cafe stinks of cigarette smoke they wafts in through the doors.

Thursday 29th December and we visited this popular branch of Costa Coffee along Bampton Street in Tiverton. Before ordering our coffees we found a place to sit at the window seating overlooking the street. A great place to sit and watch the world pass by outside. The shopfront, with it's many small sized panes of glass, had an old world feeling. We ordered our coffees, two flat whites, which were £6.30. At the time of our visit there were two members of staff working, one taking the orders and payments, the other preparing the beverages. It was not the quickest service and the staff were certainly not in line for any customer service awards, however it was a good cup of flavoursome coffee

I encounter a rude, fair haired young girl who I could not hear as she spoke softly and too quick for me….I had to ask more than once what the drink was and when I left she muttered ‘Jesus’ under her breath. Not impressed being abused at Costa in front of other customers! Happened at 1400 18th June. Latte and an Energiser I will be having at Starbucks going forward! Grrrr!

Okay, so Costa has been around for a good while now, and yes, we take for granted a certain look, menu and level of service. That standard is pretty darn good overall in my experience, but it does become 'normal'. The difference in the Tiverton branch has been the team who run it, their friendliness, enthusiasm and efficiency. That, and my love if a cortado, keeps this as my regular coffee shop!

Having hiked along the Great Western Canal, I found myself in Tiverton. Here I sought out a coffee shop and found Costa's. Here I had a freshly prepared coffee whilst I charged my tablet.

Nice that Tiverton finally has a vista, staff professional and polite and a good hot chocolate. The smokers outside are a put off though. Sat in the shop front. Gross.

Nothing different from so many Costa's could do with a freshen up. The staff are friendly and helpful to advise when something isn't available.

You know what you are going to get and they didn't disappoint. I really enjoy the sausage bap as its toasted and a skinny flat white perfect together and quite good on the calories

Coffee was as good as always from Costa and this particular café had very pleasant staff that were polite attentive and shared a joke and a smile along the way. Excellent.

Nos tomamos un café con un amigo, y aunque las bebidas estaban bien, eso es lo mejor que puedo decir de este lugar. El servicio era descuidado con el personal joven que aportan un "I am bovvered actitud". Me paraba en el mostrador esperando a ser atendidos y vimos el gerente me vistazo antes de desaparecer. El joven detrás del mostrador me eyeballed y caminamos. Al final me dijo "vas a tomar mi pedido? ". Su respuesta fue "Ah". No hay habilidades de servicio al cliente, y las mesas no estaban despejadas. Cuando hay varios establecimientos independientes en Tiverton contentos de su patrocinio, ¿Por qué elegir aquí? No volveré.

Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, quick staff. One of the best I've been to! Will always go back there.

On our way into Tiverton fancied a hot drink and maybe a bite to eat, pleased we did very nice lady serving all clean and tidy there, we had coffee and tea the coffee could of been a bit warmer the tea very nice also had breakfast bap and sausage bap very nice also, clean toilets for ladies bit cold in there, mens toilets clean bit cold in there also, could do with being a bit warmer having some heating on, is a bit on the pricey side though! would definitely recommend and stop here again very good stop off!!

Bonito lugar para tomar un café o bebida fría, bien distribuido con buen personal, pero hay el mismo realmente ahí la calificación promedio. Pero quieres un café aquí un lugar tan bueno como cualquiera en Tiverton a conseguir uno, tartas, etc. también disponible.

Always get good service, this is a popular place to have coffee, the venue is nearly always full. Reasonable prices for drinks and cakes etc, also able to get takeaways

an amazing place coffee is the best the cake just melts in your mouth my grand daughter tried the hot chocolate

Had a drink and a sandwich today. The usually good service was a bit sloppy and there were a number of dirty tables. My hot chocolate was dribbled down the side of the cup into the saucer. Maybe time for a change of regular haunt!

The staff are very friendly and efficient. The drinks are tasty as are the cakes and savouries . The atmosphere is always good and generally busy.

Oh dear oh dear! Latte with little taste and burnt milk was not a good start! Whilst the cappuccino was ok (have they changed there coffee beans?) but not great, I'm afaid the sticky table , cost and smell of cigarette smoke from outside made for a very unpleasant visit.

Staff helpful and work fast clean and plenty of space situated in a good part of town always popular in here when I'm visiting Tiverton as u can rely on there hot drinks being hot !

It was great to find this dog friendly Costa to shelter from our English summer. The service was great and the drinks were better than the average Costa. With 8 million dog owners in this country it's great to see an establishment recognising the potential market. Again well done.

Love going there for a hot chocolate and slice of shortbread, service is very good and hardly waiting at all for drink so always really hot!

Haven't been in Costa Tiverton for a while having enjoyed the Costa experience at various Beefeater and Brewers Fayre restaurants in Gloucestershire, Somerset and Devon. Mind you, if you demand your coffee barista prepared you have to go to a Costa coffee house and Tiverton is a good place to start. To get to the point! All new faces behind the counter since my last visit. No problem, they are a friendly bunch who are very welcoming. Great atmosphere in the coffee house, plenty of chatter going on. As always my cappuchino was first class, with chocolate sprinkles in a palm tree pattern. My partner's latte was to her liking as were our muffins, mine a Sicilian lemon and my partner's a salted caramel. Always a treat at Costa, ENJOY!

I had a problem with my Costa Coffee Club card, the server was friendly and efficient in dealing with this and quickly got me served with a medium cuppachino with soya. The drink was served at a good temperature too. Unlike other coffee chains, Costa doesn't charge extra for soya! The decor was pretty standard for Costa, though layout I find varies from branch to branch, so not entirely predictable! You can get a feel for a representative cross-section of the Tiverton public, which you may not get so much in a more individual, independent place!!

It was lovely to go somewhere after a busy stressful day at work with couple of friends to be served by someone who was polite and friendly and looked like he enjoyed what he was doing coffee and cake was lovely as always well done

We stopped in here for a warm up and rest from the cold January day we were visiting the area.Friendly and welcoming staff in here. Clean and well laid out

New to Tiverton one thing you can always seem to get is being fully accepted as part of the community as most frequent this incredibly friendly coffee stop is the place to meet locals. The staff are excellent, the management look after staff and it is always relaxed and you are made to feel welcome. Will be writing my scripts in there most days I fear.

I am partial to a Costa (mine's a large Americano with cold skinny milk and a shot of gingerbread syrup) and so I was really pleased when one opened in Tivvy. The store is your standard Costa but always clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Sometimes, when it is busy, however, there can be a bit of a wait so it's not always great when you are in a hurry.I also like the fact that you can collect points with a loyalty card.

I am a regular always enjoy a relaxing rest here I am remembered they are always friendly and having free Wi Fi gives it that added bonus. Often pop in after church as well as a rest during shopping

I live in town and after months of visiting various cafe's and having to force down bitter coffee from stale beans or having to add sugar as the water was too hot and burnt the beans...Blurgh!!!You may pay a little more but I get my coffee made the way I like it!An extra shot if I'm not awake or a huge dollop of cold milk if I'm in a hurry which I'm well known for in my ginger bread latte too lol!I visit every week, the staff are polite, toilets clean, atmosphere warm and get greeted with a smile every time too.Hooray for Costa Coffee, Jules and the team!

I have never been a fan of Costa, but I was persuaded to go, the cafes are clean and the staff are efficient, but for the price you pay you really don't get value for money, poor quality coffee, over priced cakes and sandwiches. My friend had really wishy washy coffee, and I had weak tea, I am sorry Costa, but I will not be visiting you again.

Great what more can I say keep up the good work efficient staff quick and clean cafe nice choice of yummy food no not cheap but use your loyalty card for free stuff!

I was visiting Tiverton briefly on cold day, so I was pleased that I chose Costa Coffee for refreshment and to warm upThis was only my 2nd ever visit to a Costa Coffee, but I have to say I was impressed. Warm, relaxed surroundings. Friendly staff, quick and efficient service. Although busy there was plently of seating space available. A variety of chairs and tables in different styles and the one I chose was definitely comfortable. Newspapers available to read, including my personal favourite (Times). Coffee was good and had its own individual taste ~ which is not a criticism as I enjoyed my cup of Americano. The only thing I did not ask and it was not offered was a loyalty card, but in any case price was reasonable.I would certainly not hesitate to visit this establishment again. Thank you.
