Costa Coffee Lord Street in Liverpool

My twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into this Costa Coffee as we were heading to The Beehive Pub and what a pleasant time we had.This is a modern Costa Coffee outlet, a lovely light and airy interior, great decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling shopping area that makes up Lord Street and housed in a wonderful building, its certainly eye catching and hard to miss.We were here on a Thursday morning, we track and traced and sanitised our hands and ordered a cappuccino coffee each, served steaming hot ,we just kicked back, chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our coffee's. My coffee was really good, from the first sip till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve, it was just so good being in such a cozy Costa Coffee outlet enjoying a quality cappuccino and to be honest socialising again albeit socially distanced. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before moving on ,had a great time and visit here and when I am back in Liverpool City Centre again will visit here again. This Costa Coffee is easy to locate along Lord Street. Most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

It's safe to say that since December 30th 2020 Liverpool City Centre has been a bit depressing but with the lifting of some of the coronavirus lockdown restrictions for the hard hit hospitality sector on the 12th of April it was great again to be walking around town ,taking in the sites and visiting some of the great cafe's, bars, pubs and restaurants our city is justifiably famous for, walking down Lord Street we spotted Costa Coffee open with outside service, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system on our N.H.S covid app on our phones and ordered a flat white coffee each, served steaming hot, it was just so good chilling out and planning out the day ahead while sipping our coffee's. This is a wonderful Costa Coffee outlet, modern,a lovely interior, typical Costa Coffee decor and furnishings housed in a very eye catching building, its a place I've missed so much since the 3rd national lockdown descended, these are the first tentative steps out of the pandemic, the magnificent vaccines are making huge differences and I am confident that by the 21st of June we will be back to normality. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. This Costa Coffee outlet is easy to locate along Lord Street, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Before the 3rd national lockdown descended my twin brother Stephen and I decided to jump the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre and visit some of the great pubs our city is justifiably famous for, while heading to The Welkin Pub we dropped into this Costa Coffee outlet and what a very pleasant time we had. I love the look of this Costa coffee, a light and airy interior, typical Costa Coffee decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe all housed in a very colourful and eye catching building. We were here on a Saturday morning, greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands and ordered a flat white coffee each, these we payed for contactless and we just chilled out and took in the great Costa coffee cafe we were in.My coffee was really good, served steaming hot, from the very first sip till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee in this outlet of Costa Coffee. We both really enjoyed our coffee's in here, had a great time before we moved on and when the next lockdown finally gets lifted we look forward to visiting here again.This Costa Coffee is easy to locate along Lord Street. Opening hours are;Monday to Saturday, Open from 6 30am.Sunday, Open from 8 30am.A wonderful Costa Coffee, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

I think many Costas look tired. They look old fashioned although comfortable. They all including this one need a tidy up and a bit of modernisation although many people probably like it as it is. Coffee good food good and staff great.

Dentro de esta cafetería hay suciedad y suciedad por todas partes que mires y veas mugriento y sucio dentro de la repisa junto a la ventana está llena de manchas de leche y restos de comida, manchas de café en los zócalos, solo un desastre por donde mires Nunca volveré a poner un pie en este lugar también necesita pintar su aburrido, se ve tan antihigiénico como muchos de estos establecimientos de comida pidiendo limosna, no has estado abierto por un tiempo, regresas, no han hecho nada desde que cerraron el mismo lugar viejo y sucio y ahora todos están un desgaste no se como la gente puede sentarse en la inmundicia

Even though a busy place, was served quickly and went to the additional seating upstairs. Seemed to be following covid rules really well with sanitising. Drinks were as you would expect and no complaints, good clean outlet.

Caminando por Lord Street fue genial nuevamente ver a Costa Coffee reabrir y mi hermano gemelo Stephen y yo nos dirigimos con entusiasmo aquí para conseguir nuestra dosis de Costa Coffee.Me encanta el aspecto de este lugar distribuido en dos pisos, una decoración y un mobiliario agradables, es acogedor, también hay muchas opciones de asientos repartidas por todo este café, todo ubicado en un edificio muy llamativo.Estuvimos aquí un martes por la tarde, pedimos un café capuchino cada uno y tomamos nuestro pedido de pie, el café estaba como siempre aquí, un capuchino espeso y lechoso, desde el primer sorbo hasta el último sorbo de café, se puede decir que usan calidad ingredientes en su café y se enorgullecen del café que sirven.Ambos disfrutamos mucho de nuestro café y nuestra visita aquí antes de seguir adelante y, aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz, como en todas las demás visitas aquí, la pasamos muy bien.Este establecimiento de Costa Coffee es fácil de localizar a lo largo de Lord Street.Los horarios de apertura son;Lunes a Sábado, Abierto de 6. 30 am.Domingo, Abierto desde las 8 am.Un gran Costa Coffee, definitivamente vale la pena visitarlo si se encuentra en la zona.

Hice cola con mi mascarilla y vi como la dama de enfrente se quitaba la suya para hacer su pedido. Luego retrocedió un poco cuando me acerqué, me quité la máscara e hice mi pedido. La joven que estaba detrás del biombo de plástico, bajita, de pelo rubio y gafas, me dijo entonces con cierta brusquedad: «¡Déjate la máscara puesta hasta el último momento posible! ¿Confundido? Sí, yo también. ¿No era eso lo que había hecho? Volví a aplicarme la máscara y le dije que estaba tratando de pedir mi bebida. Luego respondió: 'Tienes que quitarte la máscara para que pueda entender lo que estás diciendo'. Así que volví a quitarme la máscara, repetí mi orden y le dije: '¿Puedes entenderme? 'No estaba seguro de si ella solo estaba tratando de hacerme pasar un mal momento, o si realmente no sabía lo que estaba haciendo. Miré a la señora que estaba parada detrás de mí esperando su pedido, que no tenía máscara, y luego a dos clientes mayores que caminaban por el piso, también sin máscara y sin respuesta, y luego le informé a la joven que me había atendido que necesitaba para decirles a estos clientes que usen máscaras. Ella no respondió. Me había quitado la mía solo para pedir mi bebida. Pasó junto a él, pero sus pantalones se engancharon en la barandilla de metal, por lo que tuvo que retroceder un escalón, sosteniendo una bandeja de bebidas calientes, pasar este objeto y desengancharse. Lo intentó de nuevo con éxito, y el hombre que esperaba detrás de ella estaba bastante enojado, murmurando '¿Por qué han puesto esto aquí? ? 'Le respondí' ¿Es esto una broma? “Absolutamente increíble que en esta época de distanciamiento social, este objeto hubiera sido colocado aquí provocando una acumulación de clientes al pie de las escaleras. ¡Pesadilla de salud y seguridad! Y si la chica de la bandeja de bebidas calientes se había caído, había muchos testigos. Asombroso. Esperé hasta que la chica, y luego el hombre, pasaron junto a mí hasta que fue seguro tomar una foto. Yo, el hombre y la niña estábamos completamente confundidos en cuanto al propósito de este objeto, y estoy seguro de que Costa tiene una explicación "razonable", pero en realidad no era más que un peligro. Suelo ir al Starbucks en Paradise Street, ambiente muy agradable, pero desafortunadamente está cerrado hasta agosto por reformas.

After shopping around, my mother needed a little pick me up. We were greeted by friendly staff who took our drinks order. Not too busy on Thursday afternoon although there quite a few bottoms on seats.

A well positioned coffee chain on once magnificent Lorrd street. Lord street is fast becoming Merseyside's equivalent of the Road to Basra, with derelict shops, beggars and dog dirt filled pavements. Costa is staffed by well meaning staff who struggle to cope with the weekend influx of customers wanting the usual well known fix that is obtained from the American owned coffee chain. However, dirty tables, worn furnishings and filthy toilets leave a lasting impression on you. it is not a good one .....

No estaba ocupado cuando visitamos a la hora del almuerzo el 26 de diciembre, pero aún así nos llevó un tiempo servir un té y un chocolate caliente. Muy poco en el camino de la comida con solo tres sándwiches en el gabinete que pudimos ver. Sé que era Boxing Day, pero Liverpool estaba lleno de compradores y otros puntos de venta tenían comida. Terminamos con un trozo de tiffin y una galleta.

Decidí venir a comer algo rápido con mi hija. Conseguimos tostadas festivas con leche y pastel 20. Estuvimos casi 20 minutos atendidos y luego luchamos por encontrar una mesa que no estuviera cubierta de platos sucios. Moví algunas cosas a la mesa de al lado para sentarme y mi hija asistida por un miembro del personal trajo nuestra comida. La tostada era sabrosa, pero eso fue tan bueno como se puso. Los cafés estaban tibios y tuvimos que improvisar ya que los cubiertos estaban sucios. Pedazos crujientes en tenedores y limo en mangos de cuchara. ¡Obviamente los cubiertos tienen el mismo enfoque que las mesas! ! !

Estaba teniendo una mañana terrible que empeoró al derramar mi café por todo el piso de la tienda. Noté que un barista llamado Lucy se acercó de inmediato para ayudarme. Las grandes empresas como Costa a menudo pierden el encanto hogareño de las pequeñas empresas, pero el increíble servicio al cliente que recibí me ayudó a canjear una mañana horrible. Muchas gracias a esta encantadora niña.

El lugar estaba cubierto de platos sucios, el personal estaba ocupado charlando entre ellos para ir en el orden correcto para las bebidas que escogieron, lo que querían hacer, nunca tuvo motivo para quejarse de una Costa como normalmente buena, pero esta no volveré allí de nuevo el café era asqueroso y no sabía nada bien

I was in your store with my wife at around 3pm on a very busy Saturday. As I was waiting for my drinks I observed how busy the place was and how fantastic you all worked together behind the counter. I was really amazed how you communicated with each other and how bloody organised you all where. You know, customers are quick to complain but never quick to compliment, and I want to compliment your team on their fantastic service. Well done x

So we stopped by Costa yesterday for a drink having just arrived in Liverpool. Being that this is on Lord street you would imagine they would be staffed for that fact. The service unfortunately felt so unorganised and half hearted it was all a little bit messy. We ordered our drinks and then stood at the end of the counter to wait for the 3 of them. The 3 people served after us received their drinks before we did, then the gentleman who served us seen us still standing there and then passed the order to a barista. Roughly 5-6 minutes later 2 of the 3 drinks arrived before we reminded of the tea we were waiting for also.

Before we started an eight days holiday to Berlin my twin brother Stephen and I decided to have a day out in Liverpool city centre visiting some of the great real ale pubs our city possesses, we got into town early and dropped into this Costa Coffee to plan out our day ahead and what a great start to the day.

My wife and I get tea here every time we come to town. It is centrally located near Liverpool 1. My wife gets decaf tea and I get regular tea. For our keto diet, we get almond milk (extra but worth it). They have a coconut milk option as well. Maybe in the future there could be Stevia as a sweetener option for keto friendly drinks. Starbucks does have this available.

Plenty of place to sit and relax with a coffee. Upstairs is very spacious with some couches. .......

The drinks and service was okay, but oh my goodness the toilets, if you did venture past the door god only knows what it was you would of been paddling in, obviously not been checked much throughout the day.

I could not find anything to eat that attracted me and settled on a biscuit to go with my coffee. There is nothing exciting about panina's or toasties and their current filling.

Yes all Costa's are the same menu wise but at least this one is 2 storey with a very large panoramic seating area upstairs and is perfectly situated in Liverpool One. They have some good meal deals at the moment and we had the breakfast muffin with an Americano and had a £1 discount ...... so two egg and mushroom muffins and two coffees for just over £9 which was quite OK. And the loos were clean (noting some other reviews)

As visitors to the city it was nice to find a Costa so central, Maybe that explains why it was so busy.

After a number of visits i love this place but people are abusing the place just walk in charging laptops and phones and sit there on the wifi without drinks or food ..... not fair on other people who need the seats otherwise i would gave it 5 stars

What more do you need, shopping in town then a relaxing cup of coffee. We both had a cappuccino each, see photos. It was busy but the service was quick and friendly. Fab.

I have often visited this Costa Coffee but have used the toilets three times.

Costa Coffee are endemic throughout the UK ,most every major shopping area has at least one of their cafes on and this particular Costa coffee is a particular favourite of mine.

This is a standard Costa, busy, and not enough people cleaning the tables in a timely manner. I had a Hot Chocolate on both visits, the first time I went it was too hot to drink, and on my second visit it was just right. I bought a butter croissant, and a toastie on my first visit - the croissant was not very tasty, and was quite hard. I never bought anything to eat on my second visit.

Went to this for dinner and went upstairs was gave a filthy cup for a cup of tea floor are a didrace a flys everywhere

No better or worse than any other Costa coffee establishment. The usual corporate layout. However staff very friendly

As a fan of a sit down to have a coffee and pastry, I was disappointed in so much as the tables were left uncleaned, the floor full of crumbs which put me off giving a higher rating. I do understand that all coffee shops can get busy, but a chain coffee shop should be able to get staff in to keep the cleanliness

The coffee and pastries were as you would expect from Costa but the décor is tired, the crockery needs replacing, the cutlery was not clean and the floor and tables were covered in crumbs. The toilets were also in need of a good clean. This location needs a refurbishment as there is so much competition in the local area.

Location wise, perched just at the edge of Liverpool One opposite Debenhams, this should be the ideal coffee shop to go to but its one I avoid like the plague. Its always cold, dirty, so busy it takes ages to get served (though the staff are usually friendly), but its just an unpleasant place to be. They've a decent choice of food and beverages but you'd not want to stay to consume them. The one time I needed the toilet they had a special keypad you had to input a code into, very odd and not exactly customer friendly. I've not stayed long enough of late to see if that's stil the case as I popped my head round the door to see it was just as bad as before. Given the location and the size of the actual cafe its ridiculous they have such poor standards.

Went here with my partner for a coffee, as we always do but this has been the first time I have ever used there bathrooms.

I go to many Costa coffee shops here was a dismal experience.The teapots were stained and chipped and and also the cups were a disgrace.After showing them to the staff the reply they are all the same! The toilet was also was non usable and filthy.

I am a regular Costa visitor but today I visited this Costa. Nightmare. There was a queue, why ?? there were five staff behind the counter with one girl shouting at us sorry for the delay ???

A queue when not that busy with so many staff being inefficient I thought. Placed my order which is routine and simple and was then asked loads of questions if I wanted this that and the other !! I had given my order and it was very precise - no wonder a queue. The tables upstairs were cluttered with old crockery and the tables filthy. During my whole stay there they were never wiped. Furniture needs attention especially the sift chairs. Not good - wont be repeated - there is a Pret over the road - so efficient.

Not a fan of Costa but was handy. Most tables and chairs are too small to eat as an adult. Cakes were dry and it was first thing in the morning. Over priced

What is it with these coffee shops great coffee until you come to use the restroom the are so filthy I was appalled Makes you wonder if the kitchens are the same way Maybe a house keeping trying Day wouldn't go a muss

We enjoyed an iced coffee from Costa on a very hot day in Liverpool! It was busy but the service was good. We visited quite a few Costa coffee shops during our UK vacation.

Visited for mid morning coffee. Service was really slow and staff didn't know how to handle a gift card or add reward points. Given coffee on a dirty tray with a dirty knife. Toilets not very pleasant so will avoid in future

out walking firstly saw the look of Costa coffee, went in to the usual great taste of coffee.. impressive inside and out.. staff really friendly..

It's usually very busy inside so it is quite difficult to actually get a coffee there, especially if you're on a lunch break. I quite like the lattes that they make here.

I am a frequent visitor and the standard of the drinks here varies depending on who has made it. The food is always the same as you can't go much wrong with heating a panini which is why I have given a rating of average. I have noticed recently that paper napkins are no longer appear to be supplied and that the standard of cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Trays of dirty cups and plates are stacked on empty tables where customers have had to clear them themselves even when it's not busy. Tables are left wet, sticky and full of crumbs. Come on Costa Coffee!, drinking coffee is supposed to be a pleasant experience. There is definitely room for improvement.

Typical Costa. Quick service. Tuna melt was good. I had a Classic Americano which was great. Wife had a Minted Hot Chocolate bu wasn't that impressed. Good for a quick bite. Refuel yourselves.

Good place to stop off for a break while shopping. Quick service and friendly. Nice seating area both downstairs and upstairs.

I have visited many Costa places in Liverpool and elsewhere and they all seem to have similar problems. Ridiculous waiting time for a cup of coffee, dirty tables and filthy filthy toilets with a smell that makes you sick. Wonder what would happen if Health and Safety suddenly made a visit! Good coffee though and yummy carrot cake but only to take out.

To much money for a coffee the charge extra to put it food on a plate if u stay in its extra its bad wot they can get away with

Great service, but incredibly under staffed. We enjoyed decent snacks, delicious coffees but unfortunately we're in ridiculously long queues. Lots of dirty tables, but that wasn't the fault of the staff as they were lovely. Please employ more staff Costa. Your staff in this branch are over worked!!

How this place is still open I have no idea. Tables are filthy and as for the toilets, the one downstairs was used by my daughter and it was disgraceful. The smell and flies are everywhere as you walk through. Staff seem pleasant enough but investing in a full time cleaner and some bleach would go a long way to improve this place. It's in such a fabulous location that I fear visitors to Liverpool get such a bad impression if they stop for a coffee first!

The headline 'Quick drink' on the previous review made me laugh after our experience here on Saturday afternoon. The service was so slow that my wife, who had taken a table upstairs while I waited to be served, thought I had left her! After queuing to order, which of course is just one of those expected things on a busy day in a very busy spot, we then queued again while our brews were made - very very slowly, with no sense of urgency whatsoever. I foolishly thought staff at a city centre prime spot would perhaps be used to providing service at some speed - but certainly not here. The wait was so long that the quality of the drinks became incidental and we will go elsewhere next time.

Popped in for a drink and a rest! ... 4pm in the afternoon and still plenty of food on offer in the display cabinets which looks really appetising I'm looking at this because there's a que like there always is but it quickly clears and I'm served by a very nice polite member of staff.

This is on the main shopping street in Liverpool and is just at the top of Liverpool One. Lots of seating both down and upstairs

Great place to gow ith fruends for a drink and get together. Me and 2 othee friends went and played cardsnof humanity and board games. It wadnt to loud and yhe staff where friendly.

Stopped for a cappuccino after shopping in town, the queue was right to the door but I was not in a hurry so decided to wait. Things got a bit tense with people getting frustrated with the long time it was taking to get served. Eventually I got my cappuccino and a seat. Their were enough staff it was just that they were very slow, still my cappuccino was great.

Disappointing for a chain coffee shop. Staff are not very well trained, and sometimes quite short. Would recommend visiting an independent, or another chain coffee store in close proximity.

Can be busy and service area sometimes chaotic. Guaranteed usual good Costa Coffee and sandwiches. Floors are polished concrete, so chairs very noisy when moved. On a busy corner of the high street so sometimes you need toward to find a seat.

Best Costa in Liverpool by far. I always feel like i can have a coffee and sit at a table and do some work in here and be comfortable. Can be busy at times, but so can anywhere? Wouldn't say this is downfall whatsoever.

Had lunch nearby but didn't bother with a dessert so we called in here for a cappuccino each and shared a cake. We had a slice of lemon drizzle, very tasty. It was busy but we were served quickly by friendly staff. Coffee as good as ever.

I would not recommend this branch of Costa at all. Dirty tables, chipped cups/saucers, broken glass left on the floor and mediocre drinks. We will not be visiting here again.

We ran into the Costa Coffee shop just as the heavens opened so that we could avoid getting soaked to the skin! It is a friendly place to be and the coffee was excellent, as to be expected. We'd return if we were to be in Liverpool again.

Very clean, staff helpful. Got two coffees and had the most delightful bacon roll. Plenty of bacon, definitely worth the money. Will be going back!

Been to other vistas in Liverpool city centre but first time to this one. Should have gone to one of the others, coffee not the best (don't know why it varies so much from one costa to another! ),and the three of us had cakes which all had to be sent back as they were stale.The whole place looked like it could do with a good clean . Won't be back

ok so im not a massive fan of costa coffee, but i came in this weekend to have been served by a truly lovely young lady named Beth! All smiles and nothing was too much for her! fabulous Beth!

Usually I enjoy costa coffee but this just disappointed me, I have a baby and Costa normally have decent baby changing facilities or at least my local one does, this had no baby changing facilities what so ever and only one toilet for men and women that smelt horrible and the sanitary bin was over flowing, very poorly attended to clearly. Even if they did have baby changing I would have not even dared to use them due to have unclean it was.

It's spacious and you usually get to find a table but don't even think of going to the toilet. Also, it might be a good idea to help customers with their heavy trays with such a long staircase.

Looks good don't know what it's like it's a great sight when you walk past glance at people's coffee and tiffin just haven't been in.

Never seem to get your coffee right ask for it a certain way they even relay it back to you when passing you it and it wrong every time only plus us it's cleaner in here now

Visited several Costa Coffee shops whilst in Liverpool for two days. They are situated everywhere and serve a good coffee. The beauty about Costa is that you know you will get a good coffee

Absolutely dying for a coffee but should have been more patient. Busy and dirty. Nowhere to sit, tables needed to be cleared. Coffee mediocre. Howevere I'm not sure it is the staff's fault. They do try their best.

Polite staff.Great coffee and cake..But the toilets !!!.Dried on faeces and urine on toilet pan.Overflowing bins.Dirty walls and floorsToilet seat needs a good bleach and possibly jetwash.DISGUSTING.This is something that has built up over a few days.Dont think these toilets have seen a mop or a cloth for weeks.Wont be visitin again

I usually prefer independent coffee shops but this place is quite big for a Costa. Staff are very friendly. Hazelnut late from Costa is always better than Starbucks.

often drop in to costa as I like there coffee. This is one of the biggest Costa's in Liverpool city centre. Convenient for Liverpool one shopping centre nice food, nice staff.. There is sitting inside and out.

Met with friends for a coffee and as usual the coffee was good but the wait was too long. They had plenty of staff behind the tills but the queue moved slowly. That said the service was good when our turn finally came and they did apologise for the wait. Couldn't fault our cappuccinos.

Ubicación perfecta, mucha variedad de cafés y bollería de calidad. Es un sitio amplio y en el que te sientes muy cómodo. Recomendable para desayunar y empezar bien el día.

Love it here I ordered a Terry's hot chocolate with cream and a cheese and ham tostie I also ordered 2 crumpets for my daughter and this was all beautiful the staff are delightful I also came here with my friend who ordered a milky bar hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and they enjoyed this very much along with a chicken and bacon tostie which was also delish if you are ever in the city centre it's a must go

This Costa has a very good view, its on a corner so you can see the shoppers go by while you enjoy a good coffee.

Coffee slightly better than my last COSTA visit. Uni Sex Toilet disgusting..... paper etc all over the floor. Not recommended.

Visited Saturday morning and while it was busy I have been in busier Costas and had better service. I ordered toast and when it arrived it was hardly toasted so returned it. Ten minutes later I was still waiting I asked a member of staff who said it was busy and a queue for food. My partner had eaten his order before mind arrived and I had dunk my drink. Will never use this Costa again. The whole place has an uncared for air about it.

Costa was very clean, staff friendly, polite and quick. There was plenty of room as there our table upstairs as well.

Visited at 11:30am, this place is filthy and needs a dam good clean from top to bottom, seats, table legs, floor and under the stir case needs cleaning with soapy water, Toilets untidy and no toilet paper. As usual because of greed not enough staff.

Nipped in here today, whilst outside was really hot it had great air-conditioning on so was lovely and cool. Lots of seating available.

Visited here today and it was so busy! There are several costas hidden around Liverpool. The staff were very happy and polite and welcoming would definitely visit again

Staff were under pressure but coped well with a smile ! Good location on outskirts of Liverpool One. Able to sit outside which is always a bonus
