Coffee great. Service not so good....the two behind the counter too busy talking to what I think was a colleague just dropping in for a long chat while scoffing his lunch at the customer side of the counter. While I did not have to wait, it seemed I was a secondary concern with nothing other than what was entirely necessary to complete the transaction.

I specifically asked for a caramel iced cappuccino with extra caramel sauce (I repeated my request with sauce 3 times), and then I was asked my age and was only allowed a decaf (which I don’t even like) and then I was given a normal cappuccino with no sauce at all. Would not recommend and will not be ordering here again.

This review is for Costa Coffee in Fore Street Trowbridge, which didn’t come up on the Costa Trowbridge list! I regularly call in for coffee in Costa Fore Street and I want to make particular mention of the guy with the red hair, in a ponytail. He is unfailingly polite and friendly, but I notice from my frequent visits, also how incredibly helpful he is to all customers, but very notably towards the elderly and disabled who call in there. He is a credit to your organisation. I only wish I knew his name, but he is great! Kate Elston

I used this car park near the Odeon as well and the same thing happened to me - the free parking ticket had blown upside down - its really flimsy and no adhesive - I got a ticket which I appealed but they refused the appeal although reduced the amount to £15 - very expensive when it was meant to be free parking! I will not be parking there again and have warned others.

What a joke this place is, I have been a regular Costa patron for as long as they have been around, but no more. Some fresh faced teen just out of nappies, told me when I complained the tea was too weak that an extra teabag would be £2.20. This coused much amusement to the que of waiting customers, Some one shouted out, "you can buy a whole box full for £1.50".With that the lad said "nothing I can do it's company policy" So I told him don't bother we will go elsewhere. So we did. You wont be getting anymore money from me ever again..

So I had about 25 minutes to spare before my bus, so I walked to Costa (1 min down the road) for a coffee to go. Never again. I almost missed my bus. There was one lady in front of me ordering two drinks to sit in and I ordered two drinks to go. But this took 15-20 minutes to make. The barista was making drinks for the ones who had ordered after us. It was as if ours were being purposely avoided. The coffee shot had gone in and that was it. Nothing more for the next ten minutes. We were stood anxiously waiting as the next bus after this long 25 minute wait would have been an extra 30 mins. Not only did we have to experience what seemed an unnecessarily long wait for a coffee, but the taste was awful. Not sure what's happened to Costa, but it's gone downhill. I'll stick to BTP or even Starbucks if I have to.

There was one cake sitting on its own and most of the other so-called cakes were sugar bombs. The coffee was standard as indeed you would expect but I also went over the hall area to another service area also owned by the same company and had a large scoop of strawberry ice cream. they do not serve cornets, just cups probably because a walked on cornet makes a messCosta is Costa is Costa. not much more to say really.

A really great location for a Costa and a terrific opportunity to 'take-out' your drinks to indulgently nip in, pop next door, then sip away a skinny latté during a epic sci-fi movie within the Odeon cinema. The Costa is located alongside the Odeon Cinema complex in St Stephen's Place in Trowbridge and is accessible from within the cinema foyer. The staff are adept on the nozzles and frothing equipment of the coffee machines and look, at a glance, like crew members at the control desk of the spaceship Enterprise. The staff are always speedy to take your order and are always polite, efficient and well mannered. What makes the difference is at times when the staff are less frenetic they enquire about the movie you are going to see and engage in friendly banter that really does ensure your return to the place. Use your Costa card in here to rack up points that will enable you to get a freebie once in a while. If you are an Odeon Premier card holder then make sure you hand this across as you can receive Premier points that will add up towards a free cinema entrance ticket. Really do recommend this Costa as others in the area lack the hospitality and friendliness of this one. Thumbs up!

Great simple experience. Friendly service lovely flat white. As with all these chain outlets it's the service that makes the difference as the produce is controlled by the company. The staff at the costa in the cinema really try hard and clearly they are aware that people are getting brew to take into the cinema and are often stressed after parking up in the hell hole of a multi storey and are late for the start of the film and work very efficiently to produce the drinks. I must have been in 200 + costas up and down the country and this is the friendliest and is part if our cinema ritual. I'm a grumpy old git to be honest, so this is praise indeed.

We went to the Costa Coffe in Trowbridge. Himself had a large cappucino which he said was tasty but not very hot. I had a lemon iced tea and was slightly startled when the barista handed it to me but said I would have to 'blow bubbles' in it through the straw to make sure that the syrup was mixed in properly, otherwise I would get a super-sweet sludge at the bottom. I've never met iced tea (which was described on the board as 'freshly brewed') made with a syrup but I was willing to give it a try... blowing bubbles apart, it was foul! So I asked if I could swop it for a regular tea instead. The barista shrugged when I said I didn't like the iced tea but obligingly made me an Earl Grey... I asked if I could have lemon, not milk, and they fished out some preserved lemon from a jar. Sadly the teabag used was one of those triangular plastic ones, which in my experience make absolutely disgusting tea, and this was no exception. Combined with the preserved lemon the taste was horrible and I ended up abandoning it (I should have asked for a cup of water, but didn't feel up to the task!)The barista did give me the alternative drink without question, but I had to wait ages until someone would serve me (there were no other customers at the time); I was not impressed at being told to blow bubbles; the barista did not ask what the problem with the iced tea was; and I was not offered a refund seeing as the hot tea was half the price of the iced tea. And the cappucino was not hot.Shalln't use Costa Coffee anywhere again.

With roads closed or completely impassable due to the severe rain from Storm Bert, we finally gave up trying to get home late on Sunday evening and parked up in the car park of the Bolingbroke. Too worried to go any further, we nervously knocked on the door, despite the pub being officially closed, and to our relief was invited in and offered a room for the night. Jo and Rob looked after us all evening, the room was clean and perfect for the emergency overnight stay and even made us breakfast before we set off in the morning. I can thank you both enough for your hospitality and kindness in what was, quite literally, an incredibly stressful occasion. Would recommend to anyone and even planning a return trip, under better conditions, to come back and say thank you once again. Wonderful. Ray and Marion

The website states it’s open until 4pm, it doesn’t say the kitchen closed at 2:30pm. We were happy to have cold quiches but the waitress made us feel so unwelcome even though we spent £46. She then cleaned the table implying we should leave, so we did and we won’t be coming back!

We visited on a Sunday for breakfast. Arriving a couple of minutes after 10am (opening time), we queued for a table and then again to order food. There were plenty of tables but appreciated it was busy - not all tables were full. We waited for 50 minutes for our food to arrive, although coffee arrived much earlier. This was prompted by us asking where our food was/checking the order had been made, to which we were told ‘we’d just have to wait because it was busy’. The food arrived 5 minutes later. The food was tasty and we’ve no complaints about the quality or price. But, something about the system here just doesn’t make sense, queuing at every point and then waiting another 50 minutes for scrambled eggs on toast and a bacon sandwich, doesn’t make sense. We arrived at 10 and didn’t leave until 12:15…. People had started arriving for lunch! Sadly, we’d not return. There are just other places nearby that are doing it better.

We visited with family from France with dog who were looking forward to visiting for coffee and a light snack for lunch,we arrived on a dry bright Sunday lunch, although relatively busy, there were several tables empty, albeit full of dirty leftovers, when we pointed this out to the lovely girl behind d counter she promptly cleared table and wiped, from this point expectations fell away quickly, there was absolutely nothing to eat except carrot cake or muffins fresh or pre packed biscuits and flapjack ! We mentioned this to the counter staff who just said sorry were short staffed and low on food, there were 8 members of staff behind the counter ! Oh well, we ordered coffee which hit the spot first round fine, second round incorrect, then members of our party wished to visit the loo before leaving, a queue of several people waiting constantly to use 1 toilet that was disgustingly dirty from top to bottom ! All in all a poor experience of what some 18 months ago was a lovely place to visit, maybe it was just an Off day, but to have that many staff not doing a lot or cared a lot, not sure I would be in a hurry to revisit
