I met a friend for a drink. The staff did not inform me that there was a time limit in the car park of 1 hour, as a result I received a parking charge. Costa were not bothered and were unhelpful. Will never use this shop again, and will use cafe Nero or similar instead of Costa from now on if that's the value they place on customers

I'm only writing this because the two young staff members have worked flat out during the time I've been here....12.00 midday 20.12.23. So pleasant, calm and courteous despite a constant queue. Not their fault, everyone in agreement that they're great staff.....Costa give them a bonus for Christmas and an extra pair of hands....also call in a plumber to fix a constantly running tap in one (at least) of the loos!!!!

Friendly staff, good supply of drinks. Food selection can be a little limited sometimes but there is always something tasty.

First of all - I am a former Costa Coffee employee, having worked up to management in busy stores at an exciting time with the brand between 2009-2014 and remain involved with the brand now so I feel I am in a good place to give an honest review. I have visited this store regularly as I work close by and have had a consistently bad experience each time but lately it seems to be getting worse. I understand this is a franchise store and I think that the franchise owner should be brought to scrutiny on the state of this store. It’s dirty, dim due to several dead light bulbs, toilets frequently out of order, no music, no atmosphere and the staff look deflated and lacking in leadership. However, I must stress I believe this is NOT the fault of the staff themselves. I really believe they have some good people here who have been treated poorly and given no support and not being given the tools to provide the right service. I’ve never seen a manager here in over a year. The cake display and cold fridge are always at least half empty, at any given time of day. The drinks are often warm; I’ve even had americanos served warm, as this is predominantly boiling water and hot coffee it would indicate a maintenance issue with either the coffee machine or hot water boiler depending on where they pour the water from. It appears they also have an issue with bunzl ordering as they don’t always have the correct takeaway products. Honestly, it saddens me. I’d wondered if this was a ‘costa’ issue for a while but having moved to a new area and tried the 3 costas (2 equity and one franchise) I can safely say that this is just a Costa Coffee Eaton Socon issue. I hope that the staff read this and understand it’s not their fault and that they put some pressure on whoever is above them to get this place in order.

Accidentally overstayed to feed and change my distressed newborn baby. Appealed to Civil Enforcement who rejected the appeal - disgusting company. Anything to make money. AVOID

Paidfor extra shots of coffee for my drink and they blatantly lied to our faces saying there extra coffee and extra Caremal, thanks for getting the caramel right though

I use this Costa on my way to work in the mornings. Staff are superb!! Warm, friendly and perfect for. 7.15 Coconut Flat White and toast! Without doubt the best Costa around making the best coffee!!

We visit at least twice a week. The staff remember what you usually have and are geared up ready to provide you with a nice welcome and your usual sir.

I visit regularly and the staff are friendly and there is good service. COVID restrictions are implemented well but some visitors forget masks.

A coffee and lunch with a friend ended in me receiving a parking fine of £100 !!!!!!! Only 10 minutes over the ‘allowed’ 1 hour stay, but I didnt see any signs and a very empty car park I telephoned the store because I couldn’t believe this was correct and was met with a very rude member of staff telling me ‘everybody knows it’s 1hour parking and if they don’t they always see the signs in store’. When I pointed out that ‘actually not everyone knows or sees the signs otherwise there would be no fines’ he just progressed to being more rude. I realised it was pointless trying to reason with such a person and ended the call but like the last review It Left a very bitter taste in my mouth. My advice is to avoid this one, there are plenty of coffee shops with parking that don’t issue a fine.

A socially distant outdoor coffee with a family member during covid ended in receiving a parking fine !!!!!!!During these times are you not trying to encourage people to spend money and get the economy going again ????Only 12 minutes over the allowed 1 hour stay, didnt see any signs and a very empty car park.Left a very bitter taste in mouth !!!

Ive been here a few times before but most recently on my way home last week. Absolutely amazing improvements made since the manager ashlea took over with very friendly staff. Tables were all clean and stock put out nicely. Very impressed and will be returning!

Music is played rediculously loud. Clearly in the interest of the staff and not the customers. Wont be back.

Visited Costa and spent over an hour sitting in the restaurant. The service was fine, shop reasonably clean and parking is free for up to one hour (which can be extended via a touchscreen inside). 2.50 GBP for a regular americano to drink in.

I really hope that this Costa continues to improve. Much better than some recent visits, with service being friendly and more efficient. Coffee and cakes were good. Several visits as solo for takeaway recently and I have noticed the improvement then as well. Coming on!

Came in as I work around the corner and wanted to relax a little before going into work.Feeling like the underside of a cow’s backside as it was so early, it really perked me up to be greeted by two very up-beat and friendly girls. During my stay, I observed them both wishes each customer a good morning even if they were not serving that person personally. What a cheerful start to the day!Great work girls!

Although the service was slow the products served were good, many of the tables had nor been cleared as the 2 staff were busy serving. It appeared to be under staffed.

Parked in the Costa car park. Was there little over an hour & received a £100 parking fine (£60 if paid within 14 days). Apparently there are signs, albeit not clear as I would have been aware. Understand i'm not the first, & won't be the last to suffer this rip off. Most expensive coffee's i've ever bought. The tables were uncleaned & the carpet too. The fine for using their car park just added insult to injury. Would never use again & recommend others don't too.

Apalled with how the place and the service is going downhill since the manager and staff changed. Before that the place was cleaned properly, staff helpful and actually doing their job with a smile. Now with the new management (I think the lady's name is Ashley) the place is filthy, tables are never cleaned! The staff is slow and clearly lazy even when there are no cutomers standing in line to be served. Shouldn't they clean when it's quiet? Coffee tastes worse than ever. Bring back the old manager and the lovely barista Klaudia!!!

This place seems to have a greater staff turnover than anywhere else I know. I visit regularly for a takeaway and sometimes 'drink in'. Even when not busy it seems chaotic. Staff pleasant enough but the personal touch that there used to be as a regular customer has gone. Why no staff retention? Coffee OK. Nothing more. Better places around.

UnbelievableIn the Eaton Socon branch i purchased 2 small americanos one with one shot and the other with 2 shots (normal). I asked for the spare shot from the single coffee to be put into the normal coffee. I was told that I would have to pay for an extra shot. I pointed out that I had already paid for it as the single and 2 shot coffees are charged at the same price. The young man serving me insisted on making a charge. Obviously I refused to pay twice for the same thing. I have made the same request in other Costa shops and many neros. I have never been charged.This branch needs to urgently review this crazy policy.

Met colleagues here for a business meeting which went on a bit. 10 days later received a parking penalty notice as my car was parked outside 1/2 hour over the 1 hour limit. Will NEVER go there again.

I have been a customer for years and have always enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and professional attitude of the staff. I took back a lemon muffin today which was stale. The staff where not helpful and quite aggressive in their attitude.

They have a screen you can use to add an additional hour on, didn't register. Got hit with a CCJ for a ticket I shouldn't have received. DO NOT PARK HERE.

We visit Costa at least once a week. Staff always very friendly and welcoming. Once you have been a few times they remember what you like and how you like it.

The signs re 1 hour parking are not very prominent but they are there and fortunately a friend pointed out that you can only park for an hour. However you can register your number plate on a touch screen inside the building to get extended parking in excess of the hour, again the screen is not prominent unless someone points it out so beware! Regarding cleanliness and service, I use this location on a fairly regular basis and have found it to be mostly OK, it is what it is!

I have used this Costa on many occasions but mainly as a takeaway and have reviewed it as such. My daughter and I had a rare late breakfast there and to be honest, it wasn't as bad as some reviews are saying. My coffee was good, the food was OK and so what other reviewers are basing their reviews on stating the coffee was awful, I just don't know. Its Costa coffee and certainly not awful. We knew that parking was only for an hour and that fact is clearly displayed along with the fact that you can extend that time period.

Many times I have picked up drinks on the way to work and this Costa is definitely improving. Cheerful staff who remember their regulars. The coffee (and chocolate) has been good. I really think that having a more regular staff team is finally paying off. Don't seem to have heard that they have run out of things for ages. Definitely on the up!

The pastries here always seem to taste a bit stale, still the coffee is always good. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating, usually friendly helpful staff.

Ridiculous!!!!! Made the stupid mistake of paying for breakfast, coffees and snacks for friends. Spent £30 in Costa, got fined £60 for the privilege .

Very obscure signage to indicate only one hour of free parking. Slow service. Got a PCN after overstaying parking for 11 minutes. Will not be going back.

Things are slipping, the pastries taste old and dry. The coffee is expensive for what you actual get, the service is a bit hit and miss depending who is on shift. Still better than Star Bucks, but slipping down the list fast. Plenty of seating and parking.

Service often slow but biggest gripe of all is the 60 minute parking limit or face a fine. Not sure how other more positive business reviewers hold meetings here as often from arriving to sitting down takes 10+ minutes.

Haven’t been here for a while as there have always been an issue of some sort but today topped it off..........Costa have been advertising The Mint Hot Chocolate drink....mmm I thought fancy 1 of those.

Went into this Costa last Thursday for a coffee. We frequently use Costs coffee shops around the country but the first time using this one.

I visited this coffee shop today at around 3 pm. On being served I could hardly hear the person serving me over the very loud music being played. I politely asked for it to be turned down. The server said that he would do this but in my view there was no change. The music continued at a very loud volume. I'm sure that the type and volume of the music was there for the young people serving rather than the customers. Several other customers commented. Still no reduction in the volume. Surely the owner of the franchise must be aware that it's customers probably prefer a chat to have their ears abused by loud club type canned music. Perhaps he / she would give assurance here that this will be fixed. Until then I will use Nero's in town.

Often stop here for coffee or lunch when in the area. Staff is always friendly and service prompt. Will continue to come here.

Typical Costs type outlet, food and drink is ok but the common shared toilet condition is always a dirty place.

Regularmente la recogida de comida para llevar en mi camino al trabajo. Si había otra Costa tan convenientemente cerca, entonces sin usar. Mi esposa y yo en ocasiones decide ir a por café y tarta y, de nuevo, es conveniente. Estoy informó de que esta es una 'Franquicia costa" y que la misma persona es dueña de la franquicia para el vecino que es a propósito KFC, horrible. Sólo me han dado este 1 estrellas porque el personal probar! Siempre son la falta de personal. Este último lunes festivos, solo había un miembro del personal de empleados que sabían lo que estaban haciendo. Ella era preciosa, pero básicamente de supervivencia por su propia cuenta. Todo el mundo se quejaba. Necesitaba la cafeína para mantenerme despierto mientras esperaba por mi café y tarta.

Pagamos por un café con leche grande con extra shot. Estaba viendo todo el tiempo como mi café con leche se hizo y sólo incluía un shot de espresso. Cuando comentamos que estaban excesivamente discutió diciendo que estaba mintiendo y se negó a llamar a un gerente y no agregar otra oportunidad. Nice and convenient for a stop and coffee, the sandwiches and cakes are nice and fresh. Stopped on a sunny day and they have some outdoor seating. I think the parking is limited to an hour though.

Utilizan cámaras de placas reflectoras para vigilar al entrar y salir del aparcamiento. Aparentemente sólo 1 hora el aparcamiento es gratuito. £100 por un extra de 15 minutos parece bastante excesivo para mí! El reclamo personal de aparcamiento no tiene nada que ver con ellos. Si fue 4 horas quizás podría entender pero después de emitir avisos de Parking a sólo 1 hora parece completamente injusto para mí. Evita este a menos que rápido!

Como esta Costa para un café, un aperitivo y una captura con mi hija. Personal amable y paciente. Aparcamiento ahora limitado a 1 hora, que me imagino que no es beneficioso para Costa. . 1 hora no es realmente suficiente si está muy lleno y quieres comida. Por desgracia, 13 minutos sobre el límite y han sido multados.

Ripped off given 50p change from a £10 note for a regular gingerbread latte (£3.50). Receipt said paid by visa card and received 50p change. Someone is lining their pockets short changing kids. DISGUSTING!!!

The premises are quite small but the coffee is as good as at any other Costa. It's a convenient location between various shops. Suitable for a quick snack or drink in between shops.

He visitado en varias ocasiones pero no era consciente de las restricciones de aparcamiento. El café tarda mucho en realizarse que es inevitable que una hora no es suficiente. No había señales cuando visité en 3 / 8 / 16 a decir de límite de tiempo. El personal no nos hacen conscientes del límite. Hoy he recibido un ticket de aparcamiento para 120. Pero 60 si se paga en 14 días.

No te puedes equivocar con Costa y esta es una práctica ubicación para un café después de una tienda en las inmediaciones de Aldi, Lidl o&M; (al lado). El aparcamiento es estrecho, pero siempre hemos conseguido entrar.

I am surprised to read all the negative reviews. I love this store. Its close to my work and I regularly visit there. I have always found it clean and the staff are friendly. Its a great Costa.

Costa is great however this particular branch has a parking problem, small car park which is shared with kfc and if your more than an hour you can expect a £100 fine, now if like me you enjoy a coffee and a catch up with friends i wouldn't both going there, use the one in town and pat to park for a few hours and not have to rush! Both kfc and costa will not accept responsibility for these fines!!!!!

Hemos visitado todos los miércoles durante 6 semanas. 4 De las 6 veces que he tenido que pedir un vaso limpio. He oído el director hablando personal muy groseramente. Personal descontento de estar allí. Aparcado durante más de una hora cada semana sin aviso de costa que me iba a llegar una multa de estacionamiento si más de 1 hora!!! Muy muy descontenta. Me encanta mi costa y es una lástima, es una decepción para su empresa.

The absolute pits, I will,never go there again, the place is filthy dirty, everything is sticky and run down , just look at the outside, the service mates the dirt.terrible and slow.

Fuimos allí para comer con mi marido y nunca volveré. Esperamos aproximadamente 20 minutos en la cola de 4 personas delante de nosotros y luego otros 10 minutos entre pagar y recibir el café. Visite la zona y decida entrar y conseguir algo de llevar bebidas, para 45h esperaba estar ocupado, estaba equivocado, no había nadie esperando para ser servido. Ordere tres bebidas y había personal de 5 detrás del mostrador, no parece mucho mayores de 18 ninguno de ellos, se esperaba mi bebida rápida, equivocado era yo! Uno de efectuar el enfriador pero no parecía saber lo que estaba haciendo el otro chico que estaba haciendo la primera le dije a poner más zumo, fiasco justo solo tres bebidas. Permite al costa como eso!

Soy un visitante habitual de esta tienda en la mañana. El servicio es muy malo. Llegar lentamente Mezcla de cafés, sin olvidar a los clientes y un servicio lento (han tenido 7 personal de la tienda de todo aparentemente no tenía ni idea).

It's the usual stuff served in the same precocious and expensive manner. I don't like the Costa coffee blend anyway - Nero's and MacDonalds serve better coffee in my opinion but i'm obviously in the minority as the places keep popping up....seemingly everywhere!!!

Visitamos hoy para un café y panini pero lo que un error. El servicio o la falta del mismo era malo y no parecen tener ninguna supervisión de un adulto ya que todo el mundo parecía que estaban allí como parte de su trabajo los sábados. Panini era frío y mal cocida, la crema en la cima de la leche había salido y la estación de café estaba asquerosamente sucio con café molino muele splatters de leche y todo el lugar. Quien quiera que sea el dueño debe ser la franquicia pertenezca ya no entra nuevamente a pesar de tener una ubicación de primera.

Having been to Costa on a few occasions I have been disgusted by the lack of staff total inexperience and being run without any consistent Management, waiting to be served, tables full of plates & cups that hadn't been cleared away and no clean table to sit at!!!! I think its time that Costa employed Senior Management to make sure it all runs smoothly its not fair on either customers or the very young staff they seem to employ, to have to put up with this level of service and pay a decent wage to get good service from their staff!!!

Always regularly visit this place with friends. Staff are lovely cakes are amazing. Food nice too . Good location easy to find. Very clean establishment.

We have been going to this costa since it opened but have found it to be constantly under manned and rather slow,today was the last straw,it was freezing inside , im sure it was warmer outside lol but seriously it was 2/3 rds full but everyone was wearing their coats . So we will travel into st neots now just to find a warm coffee shop.
