Costa Coffee Drive Thru in Slough

I just started my morning quite bad with a bad and tired man in this store in slough his name is Ryan. I ordered flat white which you can’t really call that a flat white, it looks like a like a English breakfast tea and he spilled the flat white without saying sorry or anything such a rude staff and it even went inside the sandwich the spilled flat white and yeah nothing no sorry or any apologies at all. I had ordered 2 chocolate babycino as well for my children but he didn’t give them to me. I did wait a while as I thought he will be doing them a bit slowly but no. I went to ask I said to him his name is Ryan I said I think you have forgotten the 2 babycinon I payed for and all he said it was ah ok, no apologies or anything. I said to another lady who works there I said I have the receipt that I have paid for 2 babycino but they haven’t given to me yet so can I please have them and she was the one who did them and she said sorry and thank you for the wait. It was my first time coming to this store to get something on the range shop but I thought I stop for a coffee but after this I would never come and wouldn’t recommend to anyone this palce with such a rude staff and very very dirty place and the time is just 9am when I came on this store so is quite early for the tables to be sooo dirty. It looks like no one has cleaned them the night before or early this morning. Very disappointed and rude staff, Ryan. I think he needs to change his work for good.

You can't pay in cash because you can't spend

used to be decent, now very unfriendly staff, never have iced drinks available, you half to go through half the menu before they have something in stock very poorly run costa this one

Rude Behaviour ! On 21 October 2024, at about 5 PM. When I entered the shop, there was an elderly man ahead of me in line. While a gentleman was busy serving the drive-through, which was completely fine, an older, thin blonde woman—who seemed to be in charge—was wiping the shelves. The elderly customer politely tried to get the staff's attention, but the woman responded harshly, saying, 'Wait, we'll come,' while walking towards us with an angry expression, "she took her gloves off, and came straight to the counter, without washing her hands!". I felt sorry for the elderly man, whose face turned red, and I also felt offended by her tone. I calmly told her to show some respect and calm down. On the positive side, the gentleman serving me was very kind and professional. However, it’s disappointing to see the company employing untrained staff like that woman, as her behaviour left a negative impression.

I recently visited Costa, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying a relaxing coffee break. What truly stood out to me was the exceptional service. The new manager was incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure every customer felt welcomed and valued. She took time to recommend drinks based on my preferences and even checked in to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. Overall, my visit to Costa was delightful, and I can’t wait to return. Thank you for creating such a wonderful environment and for the top-notch service!

I had a wonderful experience during my recent visit to Costa! What really stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were friendly. The new manager was particularly impressive; she took the time to engage with customers and ensured that everyone was having a great experience. The food is good but the serive is really slow i have to wait about 10 minutes for a coffee and the climate there is so terible stinky, dirty rubish all over the floor. Workers work where as if it is a forced job. The toilets are so stinky too.

Very rude and abrupt, I asked for a bunble blueberry, I didn't realise it was a frappe as I've never ordered one before, she ended up giving me a mango and passion fruit cooler! I tried to explain to the lady but all the staff were foreign and it was hard to make myself understood , I'm surprised this place makes money

Had to wait absolutely ages for our order for them to get it wrong. Didn't bother telling them for the fear of having to wait again! Very disappointed with their disorganisation

Consistently poor. I come here once every couple of weeks. Floor always needs sweeping, toilet always dirty, tables always need wiping and for some strange reason they serve the drinks where you pay for them rather than at the end of the bar? It means when it's busy all the customers are bunched up waiting for their drinks. The pastries are always fresh though.

I recently visited this Costa Drive-Thru and was genuinely impressed with the experience. I ordered a chocolate twist pastry and requested it to be warmed a bit more than usual. Great service from Zimm! This is the second time we have been in and served by him and he has been so welcoming, helpful and friendly both times. His positive attitude really made a difference to our visit.

Short stop for a coffee & a bite for the drive back home, the service received in the drive-through section was very good and very quick

Poped in 4 a cup of tea as i do not drink coffee sometimes a hot chocolate it was quite bussy the service was good i dont drive there was pleantly of seating out side in the sunshine

I visit Costa Drive Through almost every weekend for my morning coffee. There’s an Asian girl there who makes the best cappuccino in the world! Her customer service is exceptional, always accompanied by a warm smile. It’s a great way to start my day!

Came here about 5 times in one month but i was not impressed with my flat white not even once, I don’t know about other things here but the coffee sucks, really horrible, and the look on the barista doesn’t help you to suggest exchanging the bad coffee so I didn’t risk it!! avoid if you have an option

Every time drive thru is so slow. Is this maybe not enough staff. You can wait for up to 15 mins for a coffee.

MISS IMAAN - COSTA SLOUGH RETAIL I went to Costa Slough Retail on the 19th of Jul with a friend. It was my birthday, and as every year, I enjoy the free pastry as a birthday wish from Costa. Unfortunately on my advantage Costa card my birthday was not showing. The girl working at the counter, Imaan, was so nice and helpful. She checked several times, but could not find it. Nevertheless she decided to give me the free pastry to wish me Happy birthday on behalf of Costa Coffee. Not only her gesture was lovely but she was also very professional and caring, with me and the customers waiting in the queue. Imaan is definitely the reason that makes a customer want to visit Costa again. Thank you Imaan

Older blonde lady often working at the drive thru is the rudest, confrontational and argumentative person I have ever met. Every interaction we had with her has always been cold and unwelcoming. She has a real talent for bringing people’s moods down. On our most recent visit she misheard my order and made the incorrect drink, then blamed me for ‘not speaking loud enough’. I suppose that’s the poor customer training she has received. Management needs to have a talk with a her!

They've messed up my order twice. I ordered a cappuccino with coconut milk and they've given me a chai latte, few days later was same order with another error and charged me extra! I only went twice and it is the filthiest Costa so far. I will of course avoid visiting this store again!

Was very busy when I came in to order as drive thru was closed. Ordered 2 fruit coolers which were made about 5 mins apart which meant by the time I was served one of them had partly melted.

Ryan made us a salted caramel frappe with a smile, enthusiasm and even brought it to our table whilst we were trying to deal with unruly moaning children. We really appreciate you for going the extra mile Ryan

The place is filthy, food and dirty cups everywhere not being picked up. Tables not wiped. Staff are very slow. The toilet was dirty with tissue all over the floor. Even behind the counter was not clean. Got a bad belly now. A member of staff dropped a tissue on the floor then put it back where she used by giving it on a customer.

Felt miles away from the usual standards you expect from Costa. Cleanliness and customer service not on point at all. An off day perhaps. Coffee did the job as expected

The younger staff are always so polite and generally nice, no issues with the food/drinks however there is an older blonde woman who seriously brings down the place. She is consistently rude and unhelpful every time, how she still has a job there I dont know.

We are coming to this Costa every week and for the first time in our experience we have been served the medium size frappes at the size of small or less and the explanation was to avoid spilling the drinks, and charged the full price. The attitude of the staff members was very bad, disappointing and not customer service friendly.

Drove 10 minutes just for a coffee to see a note on the door that they are closed at 18:30 when on Google map shows 19:00. Wasted time and petrol

Lovely place love to come here but today it was so unorganised - enough staff behind the counter and looks relaxed but not interested to clean around which is disappointing

Worst costa experience. Lady at drive thru has the worst abrupt attitude with a face like she does not want to be there. One word questions, Walked off when I said hold on. Charged me for a full size drink when you ran out of your larger cups. How is that my problem. So basically you charged me for something you didn't have and put it in a smaller cup. This is the worst costa service I have ever had. Normally I praise costa to everybody, based on their high level of service. Clearly this is the exception!

It’s 6:09 and I was sent back to my car not even allow me in the shop because they are not ready…people would come here as they are going to work and making them delayed and on top of that not even allowing them in the warm shop, no wait in the cold or go back to the car… come in team…

The blond woman who is working there are rude and could not care less for any customers. I have no words. Some serious training is needed if you want to keep customers coming back and not to choose a 2 mins away Costa instead.

Typical Costa on the retail estate, with a drive through. Handy for shopping in the adjacent large stores - Dfs, Lidl, The Range etc. Nice coffee, better than Starbucks, and the usual selection of food. Free Parking is available but is time limited to three hours.

Lady coughing away, open hair, I had to get someone else to make my coffee! Lady was coughing away on hands and wiping her nose and not even washing hand after. Keep on making the coffee wow you go girl. Disgusting! Any common sense NO! looks like management hasn't trained up that staff member well. Come on fix up or close up. Most likely won't come here again

Staff do their best and are polite but drive through opening is like a lottery, sometimes it’s open sometimes it’s not?. Drive thru doesn’t open when shop opens, closing times are however the staff feel on every given day. The coffee always seems fine but it baffles me how a business can be run in a such a way especially given the size of the company. Never known any other Costa that runs the same way. Eye opening.

Always good coffee in Costa. This shop is big. Barista lady who served us last evening is polite. I will visit again. Good break after Christmas shopping.

All this was observed, whilst waiting in the longest, slowest moving line ...in the history of coffee-dom FOOD - saw a member of staff drop a packet of cinnamon buns, pick them up & carry on like nothing happend SERVICE: staff staring in the air, moving at a snails pace, whilstorders over flowed...no, they were content in letting orders pile up. Very frustrating to watch. ATMOSPHERE: The sounds of customers groaning at the sight of this joke of a coffee shop

I didn’t even got a chance to buy a coffee there. The place was closed 10 minutes past 6, according to opening hours it should be open till 8pm. Update the opening hours! Three other cars arrived at the same time all people angry and disappointed.

Drive thru didn't work. Only two people working. For the second time I'm recieved the coffee that tasted horrible because it was rushed and I asked for extra shot which i didn't get.

Totally agree with all the other reviews - the place is always dirty and sticky and every time I’ve been I’ve had to clean up after other customers. This wouldn’t be so bad except when I asked staff for tissues to clean the table they told me to get them from the till and didn’t seem to care at all.

Why is the drive thru open sometimes and other times just randomly shut??

Ive been here 3rd time. And consistently recieve bad service every time. This time cappuccino was rushed, barista did not wait for the milk to settle after heating it, so my entire cup was filled with froth. Last time a barista was poking their nose whilst serving the customers. It's not like the costas I visit in so many other places. Disappointed. Won't be coming back in this branch

Very busy little costa with a drive through. Popped in to grab a coffee to go, and there was the usual wait for them to make a coffee. Busy on the drive-through, but less so inside. Staff were welcoming. The restaurant was clean and tidy.

I usually go and sit inside. They have good coffee.

Drive-thru is never open and always has a long queue. Chia Latte is my go-to. They make it specifically how I enjoy it.

Just went today to get couple of iced drinks. When i went they had the ash tray next to the coffee which is so unhygienic while they are serving customers.

It's Costa, so you know what you are going to get. Some of their counter wasn't working, not their fault. I used a "free drink" voucher, which they accepted, but then still charged me full price. Rear room needed maintenance

New place. Its very popular and suprised at the vast variety of snacks, biscuits, pasties, etc available. Fast service. 👍

First time dining in this branch of Costa. Got three drinks to dine in and a bacon brie panini. The panini came nice and toasted. But then they came out with the drinks in takeaway cups when we had told them we want to dine in. The employee then casually said that we can still drink the takeaway drinks there and that you actually get more in the takeaway cups. We did not even receive an apology for the mistake either. We were appalled to hear such a thing. We understand the mistake of making the drinks to go rather than to dine in but that was not an appropriate thing to say. It felt as though we were thought of as lowly and the statement seemed unprofessional. We wanted to dine in so that’s what we wanted we did not care if there is a higher amount of drink in the takeaway cups. Eventually they poured the drinks into glass cups to dine in. On top of that a dirty unusable spoon was given to us to stir the drinks with, it had white stains all over it. Our customer service was terrible on our visit at this branch today.

Staff are incredibly slow. Honestly the slowest Costa I have ever been to, despite there always being approx 8 members of staff. Coffee is generally good though.

The Wiltshire ham and cheese toasties are often very sloppy.

Well for starters the drive-thru very rarely open. I don't know why and then also the Bloomington machine wasn't work and so it couldn't get our points for the Costa card thing even though the lady said we can just show our receipt next time we're in now. Whatever, but it's yeah it's not too normal standard

Every table in the place needed clearing when I came here, plus litter all over the floor. Not a pleasant experience. Also uncomfortably overheated. Won't be coming here again.

Shocking!!! Went for a coffee? Quite happy to take my money, yet 5 minutes later( about 19:05) the "person in charge" came to tell us they had to close because of an "issue with the water" and we had to leave?? when I asked what the issue was she couldn't answer. Very poor!

Drive thru makes it super convenient to order that delightful cup of coffee or tea without needing to exit car. Plenty varieties of hot beverages and sweets delights to choose from. Easy to access though Bath Road traffic can be problematic. Ample parking. Can get hectic inside.

I go most days and find it great plenty of choice. They could do with two tills and a better setup, but staff are friendly its great.
