Costa Coffee at Marine Hotel Ballycastle in Allerdale

4 times we told the guy the other, before he could get what were looking. The order was 2 americanos and pouring cream, 1 americanos decaf and it came down as 2 regular americanos no cream. We asked for cream to be told they no cream

Unlike the reviews below. Tasty Irish coffee and very good Cappuccino. Respectable place. The prices are high but the location facing the beach has something to do with it.

Reasonable coffee as with all Costas no friendliness from staff was like being served by a robot atmosphere was lacking only thing going for this Costa was the view from front window of beach.

The three stars are for Emily. Who was sweet and polite and helpful. Zero stars for the coffee. It was way too hot and tasted dreadful. I did not drink it. Service was slow. 6 wait staff waiting to serve but only two behind the counter barista-ing and preparing food. 6 weeks in Ireland with a coffee most days and this was the only one I couldn't drink. Someone should train the young baristas to heat the milk to the correct temperature. It's not rocket science.

Terrible coffee, burnt beans and overheated milk. Plus overpriced, £20 for 2 sandwiches and 2 coffees.

Decent lunch menu in nice surroundings ,well priced with pleasant staff.

This is not Costa. Its hotel that offers table service with Costa coffee. Flat white was nothing like Costa flat white, but pleasant enough anyway. Service was reasonably quick. But just like another review, my raspberry and white chocolate scone was not!

Very poor , staff half asleep , rude and can’t get a simple order of a scone correct . Ordered a raspberry and white chocolate scone …. Got a cherry, then a wheaten , then another cherry. Staff insisted it was correct. Thankfully they have a good manager that got us our money back. It’s not rocket science serving a scone …. Glad we didn’t order something more complex . Glad not to go back.

Enjoy my visit to Costa. Had to wait a short while to be served as there was some confusion with the staff. Staff apologised for the delay.

It's like a hybrid between independently run and the Costa chain. Food was not bad but service was very slow and they stop serving breakfast at 11AM

Thanks for a fab coffee and carrot cake, it was just what I wanted on my trip along the north coast. The ease of parking and the friendly staff made this one of my favourite stops.
