Costa Coffee in Islington

The croissant was awful, avid at all cost, but the coffee was good and staff members were exceptional. A big shoutout to the guy who was in the counter today. Really sweet and helpful.

I normally have a nice experience in Costa but got a coffee before work here yesterday morning and had a terrible experience. I was served by a blonde haired woman who greeted everyone apart from me and for some reason was very rude to me as well. Was waiting for almost 10 minutes for my coffee and she could see I was waiting as I was at the front of the queue on the side but tried to give my order to a gentlemen behind me twice… safe to say I won’t be visiting again

I ordered a cup of coffee and I told them extra hot but it's not hot, I always love my coffee extra hot and my ice frappe is not good not even looks like the picture they have

Rude customer service with very impatient cashier. Coulbnt wait to get rid of me and move on the the next customer whilst I was still ordering. And then my cup is half.... Why do I even pay full price

Advertised WIFI but no WIFI, expected to use after purchasing items here, the sign on the door is very misleading

The staff were friendly but there is no working wifi (even though it’s advertised on the door) and the toilet is out of order. Impossible to work here.

The staff is friendly, and cafe itself is cozy and clean. However, for the past two weeks, the toilet has been closed due to an issue, which is unbelievable.

This is one of the better Costa Coffees. The interior is very modern with comfortable seating, plenty of plug sockets and WiFi. This Costa coffee was clean, including the bathroom, and the coffees prepared here were very nice. Staff were also friendly and made good coffee. Good location, right by the station.

I went near closing. It wasn't too crowded. Staff politely politely explained that there are only 10 minutes to closing (7pm) as we were eating. Roughly 10 tables inside. Faster service and also do try their mango passion cold drink :) The berry equivalent of that drink also suits some people more.

Farringdon costa staff are brilliant. Order is always correct and quick (even during rush hour and queue goes out of the door) Always really happy with my coffee from here. Bring my own cup to get extra reward stamps and earn free drinks quicker.

I always go for a Costa coffee instead of Starbucks or Nero. Their coffee has something special in it.

Staff member (tall skninny lady with brown hair on a ponitayl) was really helpful about my kcal questions despite being busy. A good asset to the company.

I am very concerned about staff working in there. Both of them who were working today afternoon turned out to be unprofessional ones. A gent who served me and a lady who tried to fix the issue. Firstly, they had an argument between themselves in my presence, secondly, I was served in unprofessional way. I suggest they should be trained better in term of barrista' skill as well as attitude to customers. Thank You

Was closing as we got here (At 4pm on a Tuesday) 😳 They allowed us to stay 20 mins for a brief meeting. This is the earliest time I have known a Costa to close on a week day. Sure they breached their franchise. That said they are right next to Farringdon Tube Station and that was closed, so perhaps understandable.

I couldn't sit in Costa because I didn't have a smart phone to scan the track and trace app. I even proposed to give my name and phone number but they refused. Not everyone can afford a smart phone :(

Good for a great bite and drink on the go or sit in. If you sit in don't forget to track and trace.

The hot chocolate here was refreshing and delicious.

Visited Costa near Farringdon a few days ago. It is a nice place with some seating. The coffee is always very good and my favourite caramel latte has never failed me!

This is a small cafe next to the station. It was very hot when I was there (April) which took the edge off somewhat. Coffee was OK

Sono a Londra per la prima volta e per la colazione sono stato da Costa Coffee. Veramente un buon cappuccino italiano con schiuma, cacao e brioche, possibilità di sedersi ai tavoli tranquillamente. Prezzi nella media: cappuccino e brioche £ 3,20, circa 5 €. Servono tutto su tazze di ceramica in una città dove di norma utilizzano solo bicchieri di plastica riciclata ecologica. Consiglio vivamente... ;))

Abbiamo scoperto questo locale che si trovava vicino al hotel in cui io e la mia famiglia alloggiavamo, e per alcune mattine della nostra permanenza abbiamo fatto colazione, consumando cornetti e cappuccino che erano veramente squisiti. Il personale era veramente molto gentile, il locale pulito e disponeva di tavolini interni dove sedersi per consumare l’ordinazione.

Don't like this Costa Coffee. It's small, dark and the staff are not as great as at other locations. It is VERY busy during the morning rush hour. I recommend you go to the other Costa Coffee 5 minutes to walk, at Hatton Garden. Here, I ordered a large hot chocolate on an evening when it was not busy at all, but the staff still didn't take the time to prepare the drink carefully. The guy asked if I'd like whipped cream on top (didn't know it'll cost me half a quid—he asked it as if it was a friendly gesture, like "would you like some cinnamon on top"). It was still fine, until I got the drink: one spoon full of cream was thrown unlovingly on there, a mess, the most expensive and least carefully prepared drink I ever got at any Costa Coffee. Never again will I order at this one. I also got a link to write a review by coincidence and complained, but never heard anything from them. Shame.

The staff are excellent. Both helpful and friendly. They only serve in paper mugs - no china - which is not great for the environment. But that's because most of their business is takeaway. However, I chose to sit in today and would have liked a 'proper' mug for my mocha ☹️.

Avendo un appuntamento nei pressi della stazione ferroviaria di Farringdon, decidiamo di fermarci in questo locale vicinissimo alla stazione. Hanno posti a sedere all'interno e qualche piccolo tavolino all'esterno dove ci siamo fermati noi. Presi due caffè, ovviamente parliamo di quello inglese, appena bevibile. All'interno tranquillo, all'esterno in mezzo al flusso dei londinesi, personale gentile e disponibile, prezzi nella media.

Una cafetería agradable, tiene buen café y los frappes están muy buenos. Te ponen mucha cantidad y también puedes comprar bocadillos o dulces.

Le Cafe est très bon. Les autres snacks ne sont pas fait sur place. Donc le. Café top Le. Reste bon sans plus. Prix. Correctes.

Standard chain - type café, ok prices. The toilet was not the cleanest one, and the place was a bit dark, not very well lighten.

I have also been a waiter and I know how bad it is. Low wages and 12 h standing with 30 min break. Still, they should do something to improve the service. Coffee is acceptable but expensive

I used to go to this Costa every day until I moved office. The staff are friendly but a bit forgetful. The one down the road is way better -- quieter and the staff remember your order.

Good coffee shop and very convenient location situated just next door to the station. However being situated this means that you mostly struggle to find a seat if you have work to do before a meeting or just fancy a sit down coffee. I eventually found an alternative, I use the weather spoons just a min walk from Costa where you get nice breakfast and coffee at a great price and there isn't any queuing for the unisex toilets or lack of seats!

I needed one of their Creamy Coolers on a hot day when I was having a rough afternoon in the office, and went to Costa Coffee for a white choc-raspberry version. I went for a medium-sized drink, said I was going to splurge myself for a treat, and the guy at the counter said he was getting off in a few minutes and that I looked like I deserved a large one. So he made me a large one, and charged me for a medium one!

Good local Costa with good service. Perfect for people watching at Farringdon Station

It's hotter than the Sahara in here. Avoid unless and until the management gets the air con fixed!!

It's about 300 degrees in here and the ac does not work. If you sit down take a lot of water to stop getting dehydrated.
