Costa Coffee in East Lothian

This has got to be the dirtiest Costa I’ve ever been in. Two staff members on. Area at the back was full of tables covered in leftover trays. Crumbs everywhere. Had to move trays out of the way to get a seat. No one clearing up. Costa get your act together. I’m a regular customer but won’t be back to this branch. Get your act together.

We have been here appr. 1.5yrs ago, when we were allowed to come and sit in with our small dog,BUT this time, our new puppy was carried in my husband arms, and the other small dog, well behaved was on lead, and I even put our blanket on floor, thought the shop Is still dog friendly. But the shop assistant let us know, we have to leave, as it’s not dog friendly… seemly never been???she said…. So left the shop, and spend our lovely morning in Steampunk rather, where they are always professional and very friendly, and for the same price you would get far more better quality coffee and cakes for your money. So never return to Costa, as they are very old fashion company… disappointed but luckily other coffee shop made our day👌

Don’t go to Costa regulalry as not a fan of their coffee but getting an early train and the only option open. Medium sized latte with an extra shot! Should be able to taste the coffee but so weak it was like warm milk! Won’t be back!

Got a hot latte and a frappe, both tasted unusually weak, as if they had very little coffee in them and way too much milk or something. Very lame and not worth buying

We make regular visits to Costa in North Berwick... Staff are very friendly and helpful also they always remember what we like to drink. A lovely place to visit, close to the sea...

Costa app says open from 7am, arrived at 08:30 Tuesday to find shut with a listing of totally different openings times to the app and doesn’t open at all Monday and Tuesday. Travelled out of our way for this!

Very friendly helpful staff and great coffee and toasties,very good magic bag on too good to go app is the icing on an already tasty cake .

This Costa is different from most of them, it has a nice and cosy atmosphere, in fact this is the only Costa I like.

Lovely coffees and cakes. Friendly helpful cheery staff all working well within Covid rules. Always nice and welcoming when you go in unlike other “independent” coffee places locally who have a snobby attitude!!…: Great asset to NB providing jobs etc too. Always first choice for us!!

Staff are friendly, coffees great and its a nice place to sit and work, the staff could not be kinder or more helpful

I have visited this North Berwick cafe many times this year . Every time our coffee tasted great and hot and always presented and served in a professional manner . You would expect this great service from British company trading for 50 years . You can tell Costa actually train their baristas to a high standard unlike some .

I visitied yesterday with my kids and friends kid. All the kids were upset, hungry. Two needed the loo. I was harassed and stressed and wanted to get them all lunch. I was met by the rudest most aggressive women I have come across in a customer service position. She had a go at me about seats, track and trace, you name it. I am unsure if she was the manager. She clearly doesnt have kids nor a kind bone in her body. I left feeling quite upset and stressed. I am local and will never go in to this Costa again. She should be ashamed of her manner and Costa your staff are not a credit to you. I will use local small independent cafes next time!

Disappointed at the poor service and attitude in Costa North Berwick today. Prioritising click and collect orders over clearing tables despite several being empty, 3 members of staff behind the counter and numerous customers looking to get a hot cuppa in the wet snd cold conditions. My second poor experience in this Costa so definitely won’t be back and would not recommend.

Come here regularly for coffees, hot chocolates, muffins etc on my own, with family, with friends and have always had good service.

They take great care in this store and the Baristas make exceptionally good coffee. I would recommend it

I asked to use the toilet and I would be buying coffee on my way out as I was bursting. The women server manning the door, replied no she wouldn’t let me. I had to buy first then she would let me use the toilet. There was a huge que! I said “that’s ridiculous, can’t everyone just try to be kind and helpful to each other”. She said “there are public toilets down the road hen, go and use them!”. So, so, so rude! They would have probably got an order of around £30 from me, which I happily gave the polite local cafe along the road. Honestly what is wrong with people?

We came in as a family and was welcomed wonderfully, thank you so much for your kindness. Its set up well and great to see it not far from home. Thanks guys x
