Where to start. First the elderly lady behind the counter didn't won't to serve us or anyone for that matter, so a man took over. The large breakfast my husband ordered was no bigger than my small one, both breakfast were luke warm, and the drinks barely hot. Apparently they aren't allowed to sell the meals to hot? if this is right they should install a microwave somewhere so the customer can heat there own own meals.

We visit this cafe twice a week with my dad who has dementia. The staff are excellent and always make a fuss of him. Special thanks to Sharron who always makes us feel so welcome, goes above and beyond, even giving Pops a personalised birthday present and cake, also Arianna, Kath, Dave, Amy, Myra and Shirley who are so kind, thoughtful and cheery. Food always good too.

Visited Morrisons today to have brunch with my grandma at the Caffe. We were very unwelcome during this visit. Older lady behind the counter, was very rude to myself and my grandma, because apparently my grandmas wheel chair took up too much room and her other costumers needed that space. My grandmas wheelchair is an average size wheelchair, so I did not understand what she meant by this. When asked for her to explain to me, she got very hostile towards me. Other customers also felt uncomfortable and suggested that she should speak to us kindly, instead of raising her voice In such an awful manner. We will not be back here. My grandma suffers from anxiety and has high blood pressure. This was a bad experience for her and myself. we would not recommend anyone to come here, especially someone in a wheelchair or with bad mental help.

I love Tesco Cafe in Musselburgh. All the staff including Kath, Sharon, Jamie Lee, Myra, Ariana, Amy, Dave, Liz and Shirley are always happy and welcoming. The cafe is extremely busy and they work tirelessly to do the best that they can while always providing the best service. They also make the best coffee in Musselburgh!

Very disappointed. There was no access to the cafe as the lift was blocked off by an advertising sign. Apparently the lift has been out of order for sometime and is still awaiting repair. There was no way of getting anything from the cafe and no way of getting it takeaway. Ended up visiting the greggs takeaway that is also located in the store and got great service here.

Well let's start at beginning 20 minutes waiting in queue to even order food . Then after you've ordered the food you get a response of food will be 50 mins to come.the till lady had a big queue but disappeared to clean tables while we all waited until she'd cleaned up 4 tables under staffed cafe does not run properly with out the right amount one cleaning tables not till lady.just found the experience bit to much just to get a seat and a meal within 30minutes .won't be back ever again .better and quicker to do it yourself. Lesson well learned .quality of food was good and hot but tea was cold by the time the breakfast came to table .

we have been into this cafe at the rear of tescos, and and stairs ( there is lift too ) and our personal favourite in there, is the all day breakfasts, which you can choice to have with toast / fried bread / or tattie scone and we have it with pot tea. at for less than £15, for two, we not only think its reasonably priced, but is cooked to order. you're always made to feel welcome from moment you arrive, and if your order is going to take longer then likes five minutes, you always get told that like today, it weill be up tyo 15 minutes wait, is that OK. You get given you order number to display on the table, and most times, you barely get chance to sit down, when the assistant is bring the tea accross, which is always nice and hot, and nice tasting cup tea. . but really i have seen quite few dishes too that others have had while in, which also look advertising, the assistants if its ones that know us, have gotten used to us now and two them say, is it your normal, , which we say yes, (or if tables limited, one orders and other gets table, ) but most the times, as a table becomes free, there's one the assistants normally there within minutes and clearing it and disinfecting the tables and chairs for next customer..

Tesco's cafe in Musselburgh is a wonderful place! The chips are delicious as are the scones (you get lovely soft butter and jam to spread on too). The meal is brought to you after you order and the staff are delightful! This is my first time and certainly won't be my last!!! Thank you!

We arrived to for a morning roll and coffee ,,it was busy ,but we were prepared to wait untill we saw a man behind the serving counter ,,with his face mask under his chin ,not just for a moment the whole time we stood in the busy queue,,what is the point really we all know the face mask has to be over your nose and mouth ,not keeping your chin warm !!!!!

Absolutly terrible £0.90 for 1 piece of black pudding on top of the price of breakfast at £4.15 then £0.55 for 1 extra slice of toast because you only get 1 slice with your breakfast... and to top it all it was cold apart from the black pudding, no drinks were included so had to buy a coffee at £2.15.. so this is a expensive breakfast.. @ £7.85 Stay clear

Bought a breakfast consisting of 1 sausage, 2 rashers bacon, 1/2 fried bread (should have had toast as it is 1 slice), 1/2 cold tomato, 1 egg and 1 spoon of beans. As I felt the breakfast was a bit on the stingy side, I added an extra sausage which I thought was going to be 60p (I mistakenly looked at the wrong sign on the board). This was an additional £1. Also bought a pot of tea which was warm rather than hot. I spent over £6 for this and I feel this was poor value compared to Morrison's breakfast. Doubt if I'll ever return to their cafe.

Went in got served by Mason, he was really helpful & really cheery, the older woman that brought our food out had a really bad attitude, when she said something my wife answered her, to get a reply from the woman that was really snappy & not a nice way to talk to anyone, I will be passing this on to senior management too

We popped into Tesco’s for lunch by chance after fuelling up prior to our departure down to England on Wednesday. We both had the fresh beef burger with chips. I can honestly say it was without doubt the best and most enjoyable beef burger meal we have ever had. So much so that yesterday we went to Tesco in Catterick and had the same meal. We are returning to Edinburgh this afternoon and prior to our departure we are going back to Tesco’s in Catterick for the same meal again. Highly recommended

Very impressed on every level with this cafe. My friends and I had a combination of healthy and traditional breakfasts, all the food was fresh, hot and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and very helpful. This place has upped its game since I was here a year ago. Highly recommend for families, very reasonably priced, good selection and lovely staff.

Had breakfast here yesterday before attempting the weekly grocery shop. Impressed by the menu and ordered the eggs royale to be told there were no poached eggs but could have fried or scrambled instead. Bit perplexed by this - surely eggs are eggs? Ordered the healthy breakfast instead with a fried egg and is was delicious. Decided there were no poached eggs as the staff maybe couldn't make poached eggs? Seems bizarre. Service very good, smiling a little more would be nice. Toast is very good too.

Tesco is on the edge of Musselburgh near the finish line for the Edinburgh Half Marathon and has a large car park so it was an ideal place to have breakfast last year while waiting for the runners to finish. Cafe was quiet when I had breakfast, service was swift and efficient, the place was very clean. Breakfast was reasonably priced, lots of it and tasty as well. Will definitely go again this year.

The food is average and it is not the most plush surroundings. However it is very child friendly. There is a lift for taking buggies up, a good clean changing room, a bottle warmer and room to sit with your buggy.

We’ve been many times as a family but I’m guilty of not ever having left a review. There’s nothing I can negatively criticise. Location atmosphere staff friendliness and knowledge all excellent. The food was excellent from the veggie options to the rest. I had the best breaded haddock ever and I’ve eaten a lot of fish in my time. All 6 of us were very very happy. The chef mingles and Ann was on top form being her usual friendly but professional self. The other staff were very attentive and friendly too.
