I used to like visiting here but it is going downhill fast.The man on the counter was the most miserable person i have ever seen,he didn't smile once and was quite abrupt in his manner.This could have been due to him being alone at the counter doing everything whilst 3 staff members worked the drive thru.Service was really painfully slow even when another employee started helping.The entire restaurant was filthy,no tables were being cleaned and there was rubbish all over the floor.I probably won't return to this branch.

Three members of staff behind the counter - all busy cleaning/re-stocking but not one seemed willing to serve me! When I asked if anyone was serving told ‘be with you after I’ve finished this!’ Would have thought customers came first?

Took my daughter for an after school treat. Whilst queuing noticed a fly going all over the cakes and tray bake in the cabinet. Brought it to the attention of the person serving to be told “I’ll deal with it in a minute. There’s not much we can do anyway as we don’t have covers on the cabinet”. Spoke to me like I’d absolutely inconvenienced by bringing the fly to her attention . Went and sat down and didn’t see it being dealt with, or cakes removed. So if you fancy paying over the odds for cakes that have been covered by flys, visit Dumfries drive through Costa. I will not be back!!

Looked lovely but once we ordered we were told we weren't allowed to sit in the clean and cleared area, we were directed to the outer tables that weren't cleared. 4 adults 1 child. I asked if they could clear the tables but the woman was too busy cleaning the clean area so we cleared it. Shop wasn't due to close for 90+ mins. Only member of staff that smiled was the lady who served us. 100% would not recommend

I had a free reward to use, one of two… I had the code on my phone screen the the member of staff said it was fine, they could use it from the card, already presented. Only they removed the oldest reward and not the one which expires tomorrow. I’m not local, but pass a couple of times a week. Store number isn’t recognised. Disappointed as purposely went to use this week’s reward!

Called today with a friend, served by a member of staff called Ryan, very polite and conscientious. I presented my discount card only to be informed that it wasn’t signed and they wouldn’t honour the entitled reduction for being a Costa Employee. Ridiculous! I showed the shift manager (Julie) my employee emails, along with further information proving that I do indeed work for Costa. Julie eventually authorised the discount! Customer Service needs addressing, possibly a few pointers from Ryan wouldn’t go amiss!! .

It never ceases to amaze me how a business based solely on coffee, continuously drowns a supposed flatwhite with milk! This is basically hot milk and the milk was burned. A flat white cup is much smaller with a maximum of 165ml of milk. Coffee to milk ratio should be much higher.

Popped in here for a quick drink only to discover they had no decaf coffee. How can a huge coffee chain like Costa run out of decaf?? And put a sign to alert customers at the counter. I would have just gone elsewhere but already had a panini toasting so was stuck.

This is a smart, modern Costa offering a sleek indoor area and drive through option. The coffee was the usual Costa quality and service very quick.

We ordered coffee and snacks via the Costa app. When we got to the Costa drive thru a few minutes later we joined the drive thru queue. When we got to the order point we were told in no uncertain terms that we shouldn’t have used the drive thru. This was repeated when we got to the window to collect our purchases. It wouldn’t have been so bad if it was done politely. Needless to say the food and coffee was cold. There are no signs near the outlet and nothing on the app to say that you are apparently meant to collect your order at the front door. The stall need training in customer service.

I appreciate that staff must have been told to ensure customers “log in” to the track and trace system but there are polite ways to ask. We were instructed in a less than pleasant way and then again after we had. The female staff member seemed to want to dominate the cafe instructing one Asian family to leave because they had sat in the “wrong place”.

Visited a Saturday morning and was very disappointed. Ok the coffee tasted same as any other time of day but service was atrocious. Waited 20 minutes in a queue whilst staff joked and talked between themselves. Premises was freezing and everyone was sitting in their outdoor clothing. Tables were never cleared

Espresso machiattos are tricky to get right. I try to explain before hand what I am hoping for (not a mini-cappucino, just a dash of froth). It wasn't what arrived. Full credit to the barista, who immediately made another, which was perfect. Quite unusual for that to happen in a large chain, so I was very impressed.

I visited with my son and it was first class. Great services - with a smile. Coffee was great and nice and hot. Gluten free mince pie was wrapped from manufacturer so i knew it would be safe to eat.

Big asset of Costa Coffee on the Glasgow road is the parking. We gave up in Dumfries. The concession is well up to standard and does not disappoint.

Not nearly as good as it used to be. Disappointing visit a couple of days ago - untidied tables, nobody really caring, customer service poor - coffee still reasonably good, but won’t be back to what was once a favourite place to visit.

Didn't like the fact there was a small dog in the bar. Not that I don't like dogs I just thought they shouldn't ve allowed in there on a busy Saturday night when the misc was blaring and people were drunk. The poor little dog looked terrified and I had to leave because it was upsetting me. My dog would of been scared too. Its no place for a little dog when people are pissed, dancing, shouting ect it's just not fair on them at all

The breakfast was still on when we got to the outlet, so I had that. Was spot on. The restaurant was clean and cosy. Would recommend if you get hungry.

I have reviewed this Restaurant as part of the Galloway Arms Hotel, so this will hopefully clarify the earlier reviews. We have been on a number of occasions since the last review and we have not been disappointed with the food at the Nine Mile Bar & Bistro within The Galloway Arms Hotel. On this visit we chose two times Two Course Specials priced at £14.50 each. The Starters were battered Chicken Goujons, which was quite a large portion and Tempura coated Prawns. Both dishes were very good and the Chicken alone would have been enough for my Wife as a main course. (Small Eater). My Wife had the Beef Stroganoff and I had the Salmon in Dill sauce for the main courses. Normally, we tend to have just the main courses and therefore we had to take home the chips, which were provided along with the Stroganoff half & half. A pint of Moretti is £3.50 and a large Chardonnay is £5.00 and the total bill without tip came to £37.50. The surroundings in the Hotel's main bar is simple, but cozy. A 10 minute drive from Dumfries gets you to this Hotel and I think that it is worth this very small effort.More

We had 6x rooms booked for wedding including the Ash suite paid extra for family and guests fur a wedding the Ash suite there was no hot water for bath and patio doors blowing open and rattling all night. There where still gift left in cupboard from 60th party. We booked 2x dressing gowns and slippers and put on our bill but where not allowed to take them.rang reception said no hot water and attitwas couldn't care less re water or patio doors they also explained not to take dressing gowns as did not belong to hotel.. Reception staff very cold and uncaring it seen they have had your money and not bothered we where a small party for wedding but should be treated as well as a 200 party not looked down on like something they stood in .the ceremony at the gretna Anville was amazing couldn't fault it fool if laughter and fun but also very professional by all concerned even the piper was outstanding the meal was lovely but very very slow booked for2.30 started gone 3 two course took 2houes ..then had to chase staff for clearing tables as everyone was getting bored by the time we got to coffee and shortbread which was extra there was only 6 at the table
