Costa Coffee in Arun

Good service, but coffee was just a warm cup of coffee flavoured milk. I couldn’t drink it! Dirty floors, chairs, carpet at front door. I would expect better from Costa. Wouldn’t recommend or return myself.

No cups as dishwasher was broken.Toilet dirty no toilet paper. Disgusting and not what a Costa should be like.

I have visited this coffee shop on more than several occasions and am always greeted by very pleasant staff. The young people are a credit to the shop, they are very hardworking and always have a smile for the customers. The coffee is good and cinnamon buns are very addictive. A big “Thank you” from me. Xx

The cappuccinos were delightful and the server was charming in this town centre location. She was ever smiling, she rustled up our coffees, and glasses with ice for our 500ml coke zeros and she generally fussed over us delivering our order to our table. She fussed over all of her customers. It struck me watching the staff just how different this place is to Starbucks. Much more friendly and no extra charge for a glass of iced water (see my review of rip off Starbucks Portsmouth). Costa also sells Coke Zero which the other lot don’t - ice cold coke is great when the temperature is steaming. We were delighted that the place had effective air conditioning as it was 34c - hotter than Barcelona. Costa now advertises that it has linked up with Marks & Spencer for food so it’s a touch of real class in their sandwiches, wraps and sausage rolls. They had free WiFi, the seating was comfortable and their toilet facilities were clean with paper towels provided to dry hands. Go Costa.

Unimpressed by the bearded man with no name tag loudly questioning his colleagues as to why my son was having a soya milk in his hot chocolate when there was milk powder in the cocoa powder (there isn't). It's none of his business whether I limit my son's dairy intake or the reasons behind it. I'd also suggest further allergen training as he is apparently unaware of potential allergens in the products he is serving. Said baby hot chocolate was then served at roughly 6000 degrees and far too hot for a toddler to drink.

I went in told the lady that I was allergic to milk, and I would want soya milk, I must admit the lady looked at me blanky and really looked as though she didn’t know what I was talking about, but the gentleman (who I found out later was the supervisor) said it was ok and he would do it (I can only presume the lady was new). The jug was washed, and the drink was made on a separate machine. I was treated with respect, and everything was good no reaction.

Asked for a soya latte, explained I was allergic to milk, and required a normal latte as well. The lady made my coffee on a separate machine and cleaned equipment. When it came to passing the coffees, the lady kept them separate and made sure that I received the soya latte and the person with me was handed the normal latte. I left feeling safe and respected.

I visited today and the place was filthy, I asked the manager why the chairs were not cleaned or removed if this filthy and she made the excuse that she has to use costa chemicals and none clean a chair...will report to environmental health

Packets of milk on the floor right next to the bin... is this really hygienic. Not even refeigerated. Lady making coffees really not happy to be here. Poor

Maybe the drinks and atmosphere it's nice, but dirty its a lovely word. I put few days a review but I delete it. I will do that again,after me this shop need to be closed. People eating there every day,it's not hygienic. I do some pictures today,can you to see?!

Was on holiday and popped into the shop on a very hot day. The store was busy and the staff were friendly and working really hard. Well done to them for keeping their cool and keeping a smile on their faces. Always top marks for Costa staff.

Love hate relationship with Costa in general. Love the drinks but the food is over priced. This Costa is always very busy and have to que most of the time its not a problem. Drinks are always good, and food quality is good just too expensive for me. Service is okay, most of the time the staff seem rushed and too busy and this sometimes comes across as not friendly and disorganised. Generally clean but normally only have one cleaning tables and taking old cups, so alot of the time you end up sitting at a dirty table and moving the cups yourself. For this reason I normally get a takeaway drink.

Not over clean. Busy. Not always very friendly. Expensive. Caramel latte tasteless. Wouldn't go ther again

Well....it was Costa. It looked like Costa. The coffee tasted like Costa. But the service was ......appalling. Ok..., The guy at the till was ok.... but the lady making iced tea was more interested in chatting and eventually made me the wrong size that was given with a shrug of the shoulders. Having been waiting for... too long... I walked away from this potential confrontation. My own coffee was getting cold. Apathy was in total evidence with the establishment hardly resembling a Costa. Dear Area Manager, go in and sort it please. Or . Sell the shop... it’s letting the brand down.

Expensive prices and rude staff. Every time I go in there, the staff have a conversation between themselves which makes me feel like I'm intruding. Hello.. I'd people like me didn't frequent your establishment you wouldn't have a need to make me a drink and therefore no job to speak of... Something for you to think about Costa...

Great service. Hot chocolate lovely with marshmallows and cream! Not the cheapest but huge mug with 2 handles...lol. Asked for glass of water and guy clearing tables brought me one Spot on service Thanks see you soon

This cafe has very good tasty coffee but prices seem to keep going up not the most cleanest store been to staff are ok but don't talk to customers much

I had a hot drink, and a cake. Nice place with seating outside, or comfy sofas inside. Free wi-fi, and toilets.
