Costa Coffee in Staffordshire Moorlands

Parking it wasn't great small space difficult to park.

I don't usually go out of my way to review a Costa etc. but I just want to say that the staff here are lovely and polite and made us feel very welcome!

Coffee made to perfection 👌 slightly slow service, a few trays left on tables, taking about 20 minutes to tidy up. Parking is pay and display, directly outside, quite busy though. Accessible for wheelchairs.

Drive through leek everyday for work. Been here 4 times and every time the coffee is terrible. So use the Costa machine at the garage instead.

I don't do casta coffee, never have and nevwill.

The teenagers working are either chatting among themselves or using their cellular devices. Slow service. Toilets in need of attention.

Typical Costa experience. It is very generic, reliable, and polite customer service. It is a little dated inside, but that's usually expected within Costa's.

5 stars 🌟 for Tasha! I have recently become a regular here and visit most mornings in the week on my commute to work, everytime I see Tasha she is putting in the effort with a smile on her face! She always remembers my order and it always arrives perfectly! Cannot fault her! Overall the staff are great, friendly and keep a clean ship! But just wanted to put that special mention in for 1 fabulous barista ☕ 🌟

Visited this Costa in Leek during a wedding weekend. As good as usual and another added Costa to our collection! Friendly staff🙂

Costa coffee was fine, I am just not overly fond of coffee drinking out that often. If you like this, then it's a smaller Costa Coffee. However, the service was good.

We always call into a Costa Coffee because we know exactly what you can get from them and how nice it is the food is great and so are the drinks the staff are always welcoming, friendly and professional meaning we will always look for the Costa Coffee sign. 🍪☕🥤🥪

I waited nearly 15 minutes for 2 flat whites even though the cafe wasn't that busy. When the drinks arrived, they were very poor; bitter tasting, watery and no texture to the milk. I asked for my drink to be remade and when the second one came it was just as bad so I asked for my money back.

The coffee at this Costa was really good when we were passing through. Staff were polite and friendly.

The staff were friendly and service was quick & efficient...a pleasant experience. The seats and tables were clean and the coffee was lovely.

Look, it was OK, but only ok. The staff were functional, I've been to loads of Costa's, staff always ok...but some venues are really warm, you feel welcome & not in a International chain.. Hey, no reason not to frequent Costa in wonderful Leek

I usually don't go to Costas but this is my one exception purely for how lovely the staff are , always so sweet and friendly and work so hard to make sure your drink it perfect. This branch really doesn't feel like it's part of the chain because the customer service is so amazing 10/10 would recommend

Staff are awesome but I hate that frappe mixer, it's so loud I can't hear myself think let alone hear what someone is saying to me. I rarely go in now because it makes my tinnitus unbearable, I send my husband to get take out.

Called in with my wife on her birthday. Needed to use the Costa app. This was problematic to say the least. The two ladies who sorted things were patience and politeness personified. A credit to Costa!

Not happy! Forgot our other hot chocolate and then forgot out toastie saying it was in and when I walked away he put them in so had to wait for that !

Absolutely the slowest costa in the world, or at least, the slowest I have ever visited. I visit here a couple of times a month, the staff are always pleasant. Just very slow

Nice Costa in a historic building, otherwise standard Costa experience.

Coffee is fine as you'd expect. There always seems to be quite a queue here. There's parking right in front but on a weekend you may not get on due to the market.

Shambles. The staff were trying but seemed under prepared for the job. Service was slow and 2 out of our 3 drinks were wrong. One drink was made well before the other two, all whilst the que was getting bigger and bigger and more and more chaotic, as the que develops into more of a crowd with some people wanting to pay and others endlessly waiting for their orders. My advice, if you come to Leek bring a flask and find a park bench.

My wife and I +dog recently tried to visit this costa coffee in Leek only to be met at the door by a member of staff who told us we could not enter with our dog but could sit outside, we agreed to meet her at the side door and she showed us to a table in a dingy backyard, covered in rubbish and having passed the back entrance to the kitchen area which was filthy. The floor area was covered in detritus both food and litter and it stank, We left having not placed an order. Foul establishment, very, very unwelcoming. It would be interesting to see how low their hygiene rating would be if inspected!!!!

Last time I went it appeared to be one girl on her own. She had glasses. Customer service was good but it was slow due to her being on her own. I felt sorry for her.

Pretty poor service… been in three times and ordered a stay in coffee… every time served in take away cup… each time has been different time of day and still same service… generally pretty poor service and some tables uncleared of mugs and plates I don’t like to complain . I know they work hard but I shan’t be getting my coffee fix here again ☹️

Visited this morning. It was very busy with about 15 people sitting in and then a constant queue of around 6. The young girl serving was on her own and was AMAZING! She was calm but very efficient and quick, with a smile on her face.

Nice staff, clean place, good coffee. To me the place feels very claustrophobic, though; a small cafe could be cozy, but this one feels rather crammed and cold. It's also quite noisy due to sounds echoing against concrete walls. Lighting's also not perfect. Clearly the interior designer didn't do a very good job on this space.

Very poor organisation! Gave my order to somebody else and took forever to remake our drinks.

Costa Costa Costa ... what's not to love?!?

Leek has a poor selection of coffee shops so I thought I’d give in to the corporate junk and go to Costa. Long queue, although a friendly local lady with her costa app to speak to. Asked for a flat white and got some over sized bucket of a drink. I presumed I’d be getting the normal 5.5oz but this thing is huge!!!!! On questioning there is a “mini” which is probably what the standard FW should be. But be warned, ask for a flat white and they will give you a bucket and charge you more. Coffee tastes ok, if a little burnt and milky. Come on Leek, step up the pace. But hey, do you actually have the customers?

15 mins to get a coffee every time I go in.

My partner and I had a lovely time at Costa Leek! The staff were patient and polite, delivering a sumptuously foamed coconut cappuccino and well balanced caramel iced latte. I do think the configuration of the store is always going to be a challenge for both staff and customer experience, but that is no fault of the staff who were all working hard to create a positive and safe environment.

None of the customers seemed to know how queuing works. Lots of tables needed clearing. Poor experience in a normal favourite chain to get coffee from.

Called in to Leek Costa at 8.20am. Large queue as only one young girl serving. Lily was on her own and dealing with numerous customers who wanted 4 drinks and breakfast food. I find it ridiculous that this Costa has very few staff working at this time in a morning as it's always busy. Lily dealt with the customers in a very friendly and professional manner but this is not satisfactory service from such a large professional company. More staff required!

Shame the owners have let the decor slip and the window especially looks like it will fall out.

Very nice little coffee shop with lovely pleasant staff. It's worth a visit. Could do with a little something to help notice the place, and to Brighten it up outside! But it's definitely ok

Friendly staff but sold out of most items & forgot most of our order

High staff turnover frequently indicates a serious problem, which means this particular branch must be in the midst of a real crisis. Longer serving team members have continued to leave, one by one by one, as a result of ineffectual management and a near total absence of organisation or direction. The dark and oppressive atmosphere is compounded by the obvious despair of those that remain. Inexperienced staff desperately attempt to serve a torrent of customers while clearly lacking the basic training that would allow them to do so. Attempting to return to the counter to have another mistake rectified is a soul destroying experience. Even if you manage to fight your way through the bottleneck of increasingly irate customers and return to the counter, the sense of obvious disgust evidenced by the staff is visceral; your very presence another unnecessary inconvenience they have to deal with. If the food and drink were excellent, you may be inclined to persevere, but this isn't so. The coffee is venomously bitter; the aftertaste of scorched engine oil lingers on the palate long after you step back into the light. The food is exorbitantly priced for what is, in truth, pre-packaged supermarket fare. And any items of any merit are being slowly phased out to cater to an increasingly teenage clientele. Others compare this Costa Coffee to a dungeon but I have to disagree. If it were a dungeon, the food and drink would be much better, and you would be treated more humanely by those serving you. I no longer have any hope it will improve and cannot continue as a customer. Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.

Last month got a coffee I didn't order..this morning only got half a cup of flat white..obviously they don't give a @×$*$ about their customers. So sod this place

Due to the Covid restrictions it was very slow service, customers in shop came a poor second to click and collecters

I love a Costa and thought id grab myself a coffee on the morning dog walk. I ordered my drink & asked for a ginger bread man for the little one, unaware that you didn't sell them. The guy who served me really did try to look and then apologised when he couldn't fine anything. (he seemed like he might be new) Unfortunately the lady behind the counter thought it was hilarious that I had asked for a ginger bread man and decided to humiliate me in front of the whole shop! 'where do you think we are' 'haha we don't do ginger bread men' I became very uncomfortable and couldn't get out quick enough. I won't be returning and I'm very disappointed.

30th September in lovely Leek. Entered shop with mask on due to the Ol'Rona was looking at the menu and was told to hide behind the fridge and not look at the menu due to someone being served 4 metres away. This was a male, maybe team leader? with tattoos that told us to do this, may have been the manager... Not a clue, but rude none the less Finally got to our turn and then choose our drinks (nothing new here) and was told to wait standing for our drinks... Weird as we weren't allowed to sit down at a table? Instead stand in the way of staff and customers walking past us ? Obviously no table service (fair enough). Me and my partner were then told by the same male to step on a circle ⭕... A circle... 2 of us... On a circle, grow up mate, we were more than 2 metres away from anyone, stop being a jobs worth and improve your customer service skills. We were standing no more than half a metre away from this special circle in the first place.. ridiculous! We standard on this special circle and staff asked us to move 3 times as they needed to get past ... Think you may need to move you circles! All in all drink was very nice, 2 girls were lovely, just a shame that they had a rude team leader or what ever he was, on shift! Will not be coming back to this Costa !

Quite busy but there was space. Enjoyed our coffee even though in paper cups as dishwasher not working.

For a chain café this one is pretty good. At these difficult times the staff are cheery and brisk... Particularly Natalia who exudes a lovely positive energy. Well done guys. 👍
