Costa Coffee in Eastleigh

Was given a lukewarm latte so i microwaved it when i got home. Lulewarm is out of order for £3.90. I don't know if it was a mistake or given to me with intention because I asked for five pound coins instead of a five pound note in change. Staff were polite but i fear it was just sarcasm.

Order frappe with coffee. The 1st make was wrong, staff make another one. The 2nd drink didn't taste the coffee (and I didn't see they put it), although I ask about it. Not worth it.

The food is good, but typical of a Costa, over priced. The staff are friendly. The chairs are looking grubby and in need of a good clean.

Firstly, I'd like to stress that the staff were very friendly and helpful and are no way any issue. In fact, they're the only reason I'm being so generous with stars for this review. Firstly, the place was filthy. I don't mean that there were uncleaned tables because the staff clearly kept on top of that, what I mean is the seats were absolutely freaking disgusting. Every single chair which had fabric was filthy and a stained. Not like one or two, all of them, and even half the wooden chairs had something gross splattered up the backs of them. That alone is reason for a 1 star review because it was totally off-putting. Not sure what manager thought fabric chairs were a good idea but either the regular customers are disgusting or the chairs must be very old. Unfortunately we ordered food to eat in before we realised just how grubby the place was otherwise we would have turned the way we came. Unfortunately when my food came it wasn't heated enough but I didn't feel I could ask them to reheat as there were other people also waiting for food and we'd already waited a while as it was. So I ate it anyway but it was bland and tasteless. The same for my drink. I paid for a syrup in mine and I know there was a lot in it as I watched them make it but I forgot I even had a syrup until after I got home because I genuinely couldn't taste it. I even did a covid test when I got home because I thought I'd lost my sense of taste! My drink was also not very hot surprisingly. It had cream on top but usually hot drinks melt cream don't they? No, my cream and marshmallows stayed freezing cold and my drink was cool enough to guzzle in one without waiting (which I did of course so we could leave and I could wash the ick out of my brain from having to sit on and next to filthy chairs). Like I said, the staff were genuinely very nice but whoever is in charge must never work the floor because there's no other way they don't know how utterly disgusting it was in there. Filth and grime are very different from a bit of drink spilled and cups here and there. Safe to say, I will never go back. First and last visit I'm afraid 👎🏻

Wow bought a drink but women on coffee machine would rather have a jolly with her friend they saw I was waiting for my drink to be made yet continue to talk and make me wait what felt like 15 mins for my drink poor customer service drink was t well made also shop seemed to have no customer maybe they was treated the same

Hampshire Police have reverted back to tactic sleep deprivation, almost the same tactics as Star Hotel. I've been in and out sleep all night thanks to constant 'people' coming in and out, slamming bathroom door like five times in the space of ten seconds, jumping up and down, slamming front door, and I am sure someone with a ladder by my window tapping it.... HAMPSHIRE POLICE!!! I AM TRYING TO SLEEP! YES! LIKE 90% OF PEOPLE OUT THERE, I SLEEP DURING THE NIGHT. You are unlawful!

Bag was wet at the bottom so as i carried it into my house it split sending the 2 coffees all over the top of my landing. So yeah, thanks.

Good for a coffee, carparking outside if you're lucky, double fronted shop so plenty of room to relax and never looks bizzy.

Friendly staff my coffee always made to how I like it

Took ages to come. One the lids wasn’t on properly so the drink had spilled out everywhere. One of the drinks looks like a small put into a large cup. Food is cold

This costa is one of the few that accept NHS discount. Its not alot, but it's something and for that I really appreciate it! The service has always been really good, and they get out of their way to help the customers.

Improved since I came in just before closing time, met Danielle the young blond hair lady, very sweet and approachable and welcoming, strongly recommended coming here when she's on duty.

I just had a gingerbread Latte should gone for hot chocolate. It cost £3.70 in Costa but I payed £4.25 for extra strong coffee which I don't get but didn't want to in first place. I might of well ordered large one as it only 30p extra really disappointed even though staff was lovely. Disappointed not much flavour in them just the buscuit had flavour nothing more. With £4.25 I was expecting a large one not medium. Didn't really enjoy my visit

We arrived to find this place rather busy, which is understandable. We eventually placed our order but were not told about the free drink available on offer this coming weekend. Probably a profiteering ploy. The lady behind the till completely forgot about my order and left me waiting for over half an hour for my mango smoothie and then got the size wrong. I asked for medium and was given small.. I was highly annoyed as this had ruined my life. There was a hole as well but wasn't able to talk through it very well. Won't be coming again.. not in this place anyway.

Never have any sandwiches gives us the frappe menu but when ordering o sorry we don't have any cream. Poor quality staff and no stock. Or the card machine doesn't work. I've tried to go here twice both times was a fail never again.

The coffee is watery. Ugh. I have used many Costas but this is the worst.

An awful lot of shouting going on by all the staff behind the till, the lady taking orders was constantly shouting at customers despite being right in front of them. I was planning on staying a while but chugged my drink and got out of there as it was so bloody noisy with all the shouting staff!

É o melhor café em relação à qualidade dos produtos, porém o atendimento é muito fraco. Fila de pessoas para serem atendidas, não dão atenção aos clientes quando estão à mesa... Meu filho pequeno derramou o leite na mesa e demoraram mais de 30 minutos para irem limpar, enquanto isso ficamos ali inundados em leite,nosso café ficou gelado, perdemos a graça de estar ali. Seria ideal pensarem numa estratégia de atendimento ao cliente mais eficaz. Mas em fim, é o café mais saboroso... O bolinho de limão é incrível!

I had a Massimo latte eat in with a cheese and ham melt got in seated and served quickly even during these trying covid times. Enjoyed my coffee and snack.

Even though it was a relatively quiet time and there was plenty of tables to sit down at, none of the tables were clean and we over heard another customer complaining about the cleanliness of the toilets. But we are unsure whether this could be a combination of reasons including lack of staff quality, being under staffed or merely a lack of motivation or training from the staff on shift. From two people who have worked in the hospitality sector, its hard to believe that the customer areas were allowed to get in these states! Especially during these crucial times. From what we had observed there was a lack of luster and enthusiasm amongst the staff, which no doubt played a huge part in the atmosphere of the place. When I asked for our table to be cleaned, one of the staff members approached without saying a word and only wiped 70% of the table surface area. There was crumbs still left on the table.

3 staff on duty at 2.30. 2appeared to be cleaning and shifting the store whilst one served resulting in large queues! When eventually served the drinks were served on grimey looking trays in overflowing glasses which resulted in slimey sticky dirty hands.......could do a lot better!

Flies all over the cakes. Staff aware but say there is nothing they can do. Suggested they removed it and didn't sell it but staff paid no attention. Yuck!

Have been a regular here for over 6 years. No longer will I be, new staff who obviously have received little training. Waiting time for coffee is awful when busy, tables never get cleared. The overall standard has dropped drastically, steer well clear

Tables covered with left over crockery and cutlery. Food and rubbish on the surrounding floor. The most disturbing thing was the amount of flies and the food items uncovered. Will not use it again.

Waiting in line for a few minutes I decided to go for a Christmas coffee but vegan option, the lady corrected my choice by telling me what I meant, which was fine, it wasn’t delivered particularly friendly but As long as it was hot I didn’t care I ordered a milkshake for my daughter, she always has the same one but complained it tasted funny, she drank it so can’t have been that bad She had a cheese toasty which she demolished and I had a vegan Christmas sandwich which was new and very tasty indeed The people in the queue behind me waited a long time while my drinks and food were made, maybe two staff isn’t enough The restaurant was a little messy but I think they had enough to do with the queue For me the food was perfect, the drinks ok and the service nothing special, hope they get some help because in a busy store they need it

Visited costa coffee on market street, I have come to notice new staff. The staff 1 male and 2 females have no duty of care for their customers. I.e talking to them, offering any offers with in the store (OPS) different flavour of tea’s. They seem to like talking among themselves and drinking directly in front of customers. The service is very slow in regards to making drinks.. I think more training should be involved in regards to speed for drinks and actually talking to their customers on shift!! Also toilets are not very clean either! Also had to ask for napkins to go with our food!! Not to mention that they forgot to put the food on and needed reminding some 10minutes later!!! And the store isn't busy at all with only at best 8 people. APPALLING!

A veces visitar y creo que ahora es a tiempo a escribir. El cafe es delicioso y esta lugar es muy sofisticado pero quiero decir todo el mundo los camareros es muy simpatico y han creado una atmósfera única. Absolutamente fantastico.

Whilst they were fairly busy I have received better service in busier cafes.Orders were not filled in the correct order,and when my companion commented to me her toastier would be cold before her drink came a senior member of staff told her not to be so rude they were doing their best

Cant say much about coffee this time round as what was served to us was watered down milk with half shot of coffee over crashed ice! Christa needs retraining not only on how to make ( usually) amazing coffee but also how to control her attitude! Would I visit again? Different Costa store definitely yes.
