Costa Coffee in Wokingham

Not the most exciting Costa I've ever tried, but dose have one good feature and that is the outside seating, nice vew.

Very good Costa. Friendly staff, good selection of food and calm atmosphere.

Really good visit today. Food was good, coffee excellent, service friendly and welcome.

Standard Costa. Sunday lunchtime so there were queues. Had toasties which were very nice.

First time in this Costa at Woodley on Monday and have to say that the service was exceptional. The staff were very friendly, quick and efficient and service with a smile.

I really like this coffee shop. It's quiet, relaxed and the service is fantastic.

The air-conditioning is blowing cold on the back and the staff said they cannot switch it off as they are not allowed. Ridiculous..

Firstly, I didn't know costa coffees are supposed to create an atmosphere for their customers (Google request an atmosphere rating)? It's a community based cafe with all sorts going in and out. It's clean, it has clean enough toilets considering how busy the staff are serving at busy times. The service is always 💯. Friendly, a very efficient team, who always take their time helping people with allergy queries. Everything you need from a cafe. I just get frappes which I love. Better than other chains who add yucky sugary syrups. Costa just use ice, milk, espresso, and whipped cream. Dairy free version is yum. Love it. I've visited once or twice a week for two months. No complaints here.

A pleasant change from what it was about three years ago! The quality and cleanliness have improved and baristas are helpful, fast and efficient. Having said that the outside tables are left uncleared for a long time and that is let down.

Visiting this restaurant every weekend. Good selection of food and drinks. Staff makes you feel not very comfortable there. There is no good atmosphere in that restaurant, you simply don't feel really welcome there. There was one incident I was involved, when my contact less payment failed. I have been told in very rude way to leave the restaurant. I haven't been even asked to use another payment method. I ignored that and I put my card in to the reader and was able to complete the payment using my pin.

Great selection of food and drinks. However the staff is really unprofessional. You feel like the intruder when walkig there. You don't feel welcome there. I have seen for number of ocassiond customers queuing when all staff was in the kitchen at the same time. A few weeks ago after I placed order and my contactless payment failed twice. I have been told to leave the restaurant. Simply I have been told to get out. Not giving me even chance to use diferent payment method. I ignored that and inserted card on to the reader where payment with pin has been accepted. The people working in this Costa should go to another Costa location where they can learn how to be professional. I need to admit, that they know how to make coffee or warm up the sandwich. But they have no people skills.

Came in for a drink and the staff were beyond welcoming. Very polite, great people skills. Would visit again.

Quick service, cakes where fresh...slightly expensive but it is Costa, you should expect that...

Whilst sitting in the establishment, we witnessed who we presume was the manager being rude to one of the team members in front of the customers, we found it to be very unprofessional and probably very embarrassing for the team member.

Went in at 5.05pm, it closes at 5.30pm. Both staff members ignored me for ages, so I checked politely if they were still open and they were sour faced and rude. Would have walked out but on principle took my coffee and left.

Tried the Gingerbread Latte...Yum, Yum!

As Costas go it's a good one. Friendly staff

Very dissappointed having bought my son a hot chocolate with a flake. To be told that the flake is always put in the drink unless told otherwise. Needless to say they flake had simple melted. Utterly pointless.

Rules COVID!! I have to put my Costa Card in a small plate… then they take it with them hands to slide it, REALLY??? I touch the card.. then they touch it too, so, what RULES IS THAT? Then the other girl, she done my coffe, but WITH HER HANDS WITHOUT GLOVE, she touch the lids , so I ask her to have another one, and I will put it on top of my take away cup, but please don’t touch the side I drink from … she answered: then how do I give it to you ? Now.. to me something it’s seems not right or very stupid !!! Covid or not, I don’t like people to touch the side I use to put my mouth and drink!!! Is NOT HYGIENIC ANYWAY!!! I like to seat out side… as I’m a smoker, no ashtray and no bin! And stuff left on the table from the last customers, no ine is coming to cleaning or DISINFECT, ARE THIS RULES??!! Toilets are very dirty!!! The front door you clearly can see how dirty it’s and no one DISINFECTING! Covid or not, I WOULD NOT TOUCH SUCH A DIRTY DOOR! No like at all !! Bad service bad place to have your coffe!

It's a Costa much like any other but they seemed friendlier somehow. When I was in there it was quiet. I suppose the most important part is the coffee though... I had a latte, not adventurous but it was good

This Costa is much like any other. It was quiet when we arrived (early Saturday evening) and staff were chatting but once we came up to order they were friendly and attentive. Really appreciate that they offer lacto-free milk as an option! They (and Coffee #1 next door) seem to have a real fly issue right now. Lots of fruit flies darting around while you try to enjoy your drinks. Very distracting and annoying! Doesn't make you want to hang around for long. Drinks were good, as expected, and made quickly. Sofas available and a selection of newspapers (which doubled as fly swats!!)

Spacious place and always find a single table. Not too noisy which is good.

I was quite disappointed as I saw flies inside the window displaying muffins, different cake slices, the coffee counters were not looking tidy, though staff were very friendly and efficient, kindly improve the cleaning around the serving and coffee prep areas.

Coffee was ok 👍 But the place not clean and they only had chocolate brownie and shortbread cookies in the cakes counter Also fridge was empty. My first time I visited and just saw a very bad management in there.

Many coffee choices and snacks but there are not much comfortable chairs.

Bought a Frostini. Not the best. Lacking in flavour. The tables were covered in dirty dishes!!! Needs organising in there.

Great range of items. Not just sandwiches- they do some pasta, breakfast items as well as great choice of cakes and coffee. Fabulous place to visit for a quick bite, or a chat with your friends without feeling rushed

Enjoyed my favourite latte with a shot whilst meeting up with friends. There were several of us and we meet once a month usually. its a great place to meet and chat

My friend and myself go to Costas on a regular basis and we just love the staff and the coffee we have. They are so lovely and friendly and always makes us feel welcome.

Pretty nice and relaxed place. It's in the middle of the Woodley shopping centre. It has a nice view of that busy street.

Went in and got a Latte and Americano. Also 2 x Christmas sandwiches. It was busy and the staff were working hard and getting the queue moving quiet fast. The service was friendly and done with a lovely smile. Keep up the good work

Staff are great and the coffee is good. But the place was a mess. Dirty cutlery served and rubbish all over the floor. Also the toilets were in a pretty awful state.

Costa Woodley is ok but it feels a bit dated compared to the other coffee shops in the area. However the staff are pleasant and the service is generally pretty good. Prices a little on the high side I think.

I have been to this Costa lots of time...however today popped in to grab a bite to eat and a coffee. But when looking at the cakes I noticed little flies all arround the cakes....was not impressed needless to say I didn't buy any food.....my suggestion would be that the cakes need to be in a closed cabinet as this is not the first Costa I have seen this in...

THe tables needed clearing and we had to move the cups to anputher table and when eventually we saw a person walking arowith cloth in hand she did wipe the table as per my request but poorly. I had bagged the table and my wife joined the gathering of people waiting to be served, there seemed to be a lack of staff and those who were on duty seemed very young.

For drinks I had a flat white coffee, which was very good, and my wife had an excellent hot chocolate. Beware, extra cream, marshmallows and chocolate fingers are at an extra charge, so you end up with a full stomach and an empty wallet :) I had a bacon roll to eat and my wife had a sausage panini, both very nice, but on the small side. The restaurant is clean, 5 star rating, and the staff were both friendly and helpful.

The manager really made my day this morning!

"British pork and onion sausage, free range egg, hollandaise style sauce and smoked British streaky bacon in a soft bloomer bread." was pretty tasty but not that large. Americano (choice of full cream or semi-skimmed) was to the usual standard. £5.60 Quite busy and noisy especially because of the coffee machine. Outside seating available.

Lovely coffee of every type plus hot or cold snacks. Can get busy but worth the wait.

I love Costa.. but sadly today I had a bad experience with them. I asked large Latte. And I got it serve in large cappuccino mug. Also the latte didn’t taste good as usually. I do hope it was just one off.

Twice had chocolate drinks both occasions had issues with their disposable cups leaking etc all over me white t shirt (1) all over the table outside when top of cup weakened and the lid shot off.

Busy coffee shop in woodley. Nothing particularly special. Plenty of seating available, although can get filled quickly.

Filthy toilets! Faeces on the floor, I told the manager who seemed to busy to care. Sorry I wont be going back there again

Absolutely love you guys at Woodley and am more than a frequent user ( boardline an obsession type frequent !) but please please can you check your hot water tank for lime scale . Just taken a large swing of tea and got a beach 🏖. Thank you in advance 😊

Very relaxing but a bit loud (baby and teenage noises) let me bring my own stuff and didn't have any problems, free to talk and have my own ting.

Not a happy experience here, it's small, grubby and dark, staff don't seem to be very happy working here either 😐

A bit cramped- coffee as good as other Costa Coffee places!

Everytime I've come in, in the last few months I'm sorry to say but the place is a mess, on one occasion 90% of the tables had dirty cups on and all the while I was here no one came to clear any, theirs never any serviettes or sugar the place has gone down hill and for the amount of money they charge it should be spotless, I don't think I'll try again.

Much quieter than it used to be now another independent coffee shop has opened next door, still good coffee and excellent service

Generally good, can get the odd coffee the hasn't been made right but they'll just re make it.

Just one gripe, this place looks old and dated. One, a new coffee shop few doors away is nice, vibrant inviting. Come on Costa!!

The staff are amazing & very friendly. They are always willing to help with anything. I regularly go here in the mornings & even when busy they are friendly. Nice place to sit & relax too.

Quality of the coffee and food was as good as usual but there was a huge wait, it would have been helpful to have more than one guy on coffee and the tills for a busy lunch.

Visited here recently, had a coffee and hot sandwich. There are a few tables at the front and several more at the back of the shop. Staff were friendly as usual. A great place for a nice relaxing coffee and/or quick bite to eat.
