Rude rude rude customer service, male staff have an attitude and make sarcastic comments. If you want polite service go elsewhere. One member of staff waited for me to finish my drink so he could collect my glass… very weird service

Abiba needs to learn some manners. Who trains these ignorant people who can’t say please or thank you. At least Ruby was very pleasant and polite. Won’t be back. Ed.

Very rude and unprofessional as was waiting to get survived for 2 drinks and he said that the chap behind use was first there was no qué at all at the shop and when I asked what fraps they he went to quickly and quite and couldn't understand a word he said so if anyone who has heating problems like I do won't hear them and why use paper straws when they are useless to try and drink with..?? Please train us staff better as I have have been in customer service myself for over 26 years and never spoken to any of my colleagues or customers like Ur employ did on Tuesday afternoon and if they don't know the menu they should not work there as my friend asked for cream on his hot milkshake and Ur employ asked if he wanted cream even though it comes with cream please sort this out time was 2.50pm and it was very quiet in the shop I wonder why with the staff that u employ there are rude

Food is normal for costa but staff service is rude.

The cutlery was dirty and the coffee machine looked quite dirty. There was no latte art which I would expect from a Costa to be honest.

I came into store today to work away from home, the service I received was so warm and welcoming. The team cleared every table with speed and kept the environment so nice and clean! lots of people filtering through as I spent the whole morning there and they busted their way through the queues so quickly! Seemed like the team members had a really good working relationship too, supportive and calm, serving with a smile! Also, my hot strawberries and cream milkshake was divine!!! Thank you Birmingham New Street Costa Coffee!

The Costa staff are very friendly abs helpful with your order . Service is great I could not fault it

This bullring Costa is always packed. I think it would be pretty difficult for anyone to access seating if in a wheelchair or a child in a pushchair. It's quite tight to move around the seating and it's always packed.

Typical Costa experience, no complaint.

Good selection of produce and a variety of drinks, easy access for wheelchairs, suitable for small groups. Efficient service although 1/3 of my party's order was wrong.

Avoid!! Poor customer service, hardly any eye contact, very robotic and the lady that served seemed to have no manners whatsoever, no please and thank you. She did however smile several times at an older lady customer when serving her, it just shows that clearly she dislikes me even though I was very polite. The bias is evident which is assume is because of my skin colour. Also received muted service from the Barissta preparing the drinks and I said thank you very much to him twice and he didn’t utter a single word back. Plus the chai latte didn’t taste as it should, it was too milky!! Will avoid this costa again.

Had a free coffee ☕️ on my app and on way to train 🚊 so popped in. Quite quiet Friday pm and we tried the new maple 🍁 edition coffee. We found the service and drinks great.

Not sure if this is the correct Costa as it’s not clear from the listing but the review is for the one inside Next in The Bullring. Rude staff ignored us and carried on having a chat about the Grand Prix. Understand one of them was completing a previous order but it would be courteous to at least acknowledge customers. Bad enough when I thought it was just a couple of Suday temps… then I see that one has manager on their badge. Awful service. Tables needed clearing too.

Our drinks were fine. However the venue needs more attention both in cleaning and routine clearing of tables. It is a prime location being central to the cafe cluster in the station

Popped in mid travel on the morning of 21/5/21. Served by mike the manager. Nothing was too much trouble. He was very pleasent and made us feel very welcome. Will deffinatly be visiting again Well dont to the team as well.

A polite smile costs nothing but says a lot. Popped in for a hot chocolate. Not allowed to have it in a proper mug and had to settle for a paper cup. The young lady was having a bad day or her face was.

The Bull Ring is a busy shopping centre, but the Costa coffee is just average but with slow service, its just a Costa at the end of the day, the drink was fine.

Called in here for a coffee, whilst shopping. Coffee was great as usual, but the cleanliness was a bit off . Sticky tables and food on the floor. The toilets were also not good . Good do better . Staff were friendly

We decided to visit this branch of Costa Coffee due to a previous good experience. Unfortunately, the same could not be said on this visit.I decided that I wanted to try the Cold Brew option due to it being a very warm day. The greeting I received was the less than corteous and positively grumpy, "We have no cold brew" - No sorry, no alternative, no going out of your way to provide good customer service, just "We have no cold brew". Thank goodness that a) I was using points to pay for our order and b) I really needed a drink before going to an athletics meet later that morning or I would have walked out.That wasn't the end to the "delights" of this trip. There was loose flooring boarding near the serving area which seemed to a humourous topic of conversation amongst the staff and the storage area appeared untidy.If this is the norm for this branch, somebody from Head Office needs to visit to shut the branch and deliver a crash course in Customer Service to the team.In fact, if you want a good Costa customer experience in this complex, visit the Grand Central branch instead (which I visited on Sunday 25 August) - at least they value the customer.

We ordered Lattes and toast for 5 , this is not the first time the toast served was obviously stale.Check my reviews I don’t complain often but felt this needs sorting by the manager.We left the toast won’t be going back ,once bitten and all that .Shame love the coffee but hey ho got the feeling it will happen again sorry Costa .

The coffees were good and the service was fine. However the grime and dirt that is by the window frames is not acceptable. We feel that it requires a deep clean. Regards Gary Saunders

Vinimos a tomar una copa y quería usar el baño. Había dos que estaban cerrados. Después de 10 minutos, le pregunté a un miembro del personal que fue muy amable si los baños estaban fuera de servicio. Ella dijo que ambos estaban trabajando y ambos deben estar ocupados. Después de otros 5 minutos, le pregunté a otro miembro del personal que me dijo que uno estaba fuera de servicio. Le expliqué que había estado esperando mucho tiempo y el otro miembro del personal pensó que ambos estaban en uso. El miembro del personal me dio una mirada sucia y se fue. La bebida fue encantadora. Es una pena la mala actitud de los miembros del personal hacia los clientes.

This Costa Coffee is located on the 2nd floor Next Bham Bullring. The location is good in the city center. We ordered Cappuccino Primo and Mocha Cortado. We like Mocha Cortado. This Mocha is very tasty.

Sorry, but your coffee tastes burnt and bitter. I have fallen out of love with costa over recent years but had been willing to give it another go. The coffee tastes bitter and burnt.

Called in here for a coffee, whilst shopping. Coffee was great as usual, but the cleanliness was a bit off . Stick tables and food on the floor. The toilets were also not good .

Visited the bullring for the first time. Ques for food were appalling, out of the doors! Decided to go to Costa. Looked for the meal deal. The signage said that one of the toasties were in the deal, however by the time we were served the lady serving said it wasn't, although the label on the shelf clearly said it was there. We were then told the dishwasher was broken and given disposables. No serviettes either. A stressful lunch. Not what I'd expect from such a large chain.

We popped into Costa on a Sunday for a light lunch, we both had a toastie and a hot drink which were tasty and great value.

Costa Coffee in the Bull ring is a very busy place, the staff do there best to try and keep up with demand, nice green tea and a great relax point during shopping.

Fast service and clean...which ever one you use...its still exact same standard. Very clean and organised not to much to say...its a costas

Lo mejor de Costa es que cuando pides algo, sabes exactamente lo que vas a obtener y, como siempre, una buena taza de café. Lo coloqué en un 4, ya que debería obtener un recibo, lo cual es especialmente importante si desea usar el baño, ya que hay un código de puerta impreso para que pueda ingresar. En mi visita no recibí un recibo, pero el personal estuvo dispuesto a proporcionar uno cuando se lo pidieron.

Café totalmente débil, incluso cuando se le pidió un disparo extra no podía probarlo. Pusieron crema en la parte superior y cuando dije que no quería crema, la chica que hacía el café fue bastante grosera y me dijo que debería haber dicho eso en orden. No sabía que el café con leche de color naranja caramelizado venía con crema batida en la parte superior, así que no lo indico y en Starbucks te preguntan. También puedes probar el café en Starbucks. ¡Ya he terminado con Costa!

Tuvimos una mesa en la "pared" / ventana de vidrio, que nos dio una gran vista de los compradores y los alrededores. El lugar se veía lo suficientemente limpio y alguien estaba ocupado limpiando las mesas.

Couldn’t fault food and drinks but there wasn’t enough staff to clear and clean tables. We cleared the only free table and I asked a woman to wipe the table. She said “give me a minute” but never came back. Not the fault of the staff, they were rushed off their feet. Costa need to have more staff on duty.

It was easy to get a table and comfy chairs. We just stopped for drinks. The teabag was missing, this was quickly rectified by friendly staff. Wheelchair accessible toilet facilities very welcome!

Inevitably this is a very busy branch of Costa Coffee, right in the Bullring area where thousands of shoppers and other pedestrians are passing by - so it has the atmosphere one would expect in this sort of location. You may have to wait a while for service. That said, the staff work hard to reduce the queues. Coffee is excellent - the usual Costa standards and snacks such as toast and muffins are fresh. Prices are average for a chain of this kind. i have been here several times and always found iut relatively clean considering how busy it gets.

Well located next to Snow Hill station An oasis today with lots of trains cancelled because of a little bit of snow! Staff are hard working and helpful Toasted sandwich was nice Coffee a bit big! But ok

I quickly popped in to have some coffee - ended up having a huge cup, a lemon tart and a nice view (second floor). I got a table at the huge window which allowed me to look down and watch people strolling along the shopping streets, taking pictures with the bull (which was right outside the window) and just enjoy my coffee and tart, both were quite tasty :)

We like costa coffee so took a table while it was reasonably quiet. Coffee and snack were fine but this place lacks any atmosphere. It is designed to cater for the hordes of shoppers and has the feel of a motorway stop!

Staff pleasant and service quite quick. Coffee OK and selection of food good. We didn't have food apart from a cookie, which was ok. Seats comfortable and not overly busy for a coffee shop in middle of a store. Would return

Sadly this restaurant does not live up to the usual Costa standard. Avoid. The background is complex and not well handled.

Metimos en un desayuno rápido antes de nuestro día, pedimos tostadas, chocolate caliente, y un café con leche. Orden preparada en buen tiempo, tostadas estaba bien de tamaño y las bebidas estaban bien caliente. Sin embargo, tanto las bebidas sabor extraño; sólo era la leche así similitud era como algo muy divertido con la leche.

Personal amable, encantador y fantástico trozo té bakewell. Poco lento para conseguir el té, pero no hay problema. Mucha variedad de tortas y una experiencia encantadora para una copa rápida/pastel.

Me encontré con un amigo después de que ambos tenían un comienzo temprano (4:00), así que estábamos en la necesidad de un café! Descubrimos que había tostado magdalenas demasiado, así que por supuesto ellos también necesitaba para probar. Servicio rápido, y la deliciosa torta de té normal de buena calidad de café. Nos bastaba hasta la hora del almuerzo!

Cuando tienes una cadena de café que sé formulista qué esperar antes de entras en la puerta. Así el mismo sabor el café, las tartas hacer demasiado, sin embargo, es aquí donde la diferencia está en que el personal era muy atento y muy servicial cuando nos fuimos con nuestra nieta. Nada era demasiado problema, incluyendo la realización de nuestras bebidas a la mesa como nuestras manos llenas. Servicio de atención al cliente genial. . . .

No soy de revisar una cadena especialmente no para un café rápido. Pero me pareció que el servicio fue bueno hoy aquí, que el personal se merece saber. Probablemente el más educado y amable sirve café que he tenido en un muy, muy largo tiempo.

Como con todas las de la Costa del servicio y los productos son los mismos en cada fábrica. No tenemos ninguna queja al respecto, sin embargo, creo que las necesidades de costa para ver! Muchas otras tiendas de café son tan buena y proporcionar un poco de galleta! Que es un bonito detalle.

There was a queue but it went down very quickly as lots of staff behind the counter. Very clean unlike other chain coffee shops I have visited. Waiters cleared the tables quickly

We actually stopped here for a cup of tea whilst in Birmingham today.My wife had Earl Grey and I had normal tea - we were served with a pot of tea each and proper cups and saucers.The place inside was clean and tidy.The tea was excellent and we each had two cups from each tea pot making it excellent value for money - top marks!

Me and the wife popped in while doing some birthday shopping. She had a green tea which looked horrible and after a couple of stirs the bag broke. I had a traditional tea that wasn't much better very weak and tasteless and not very warm. Whgy can't anybody make a desent cup of tea. The only good thing about this visit was the toast, For what you pay you would expect a lot better!!!!

Called here as it was bitter cold outside my daughter and I fancied a hot cup of coffee,what a dissapointment this was it was cold and so strong not like your normal costa.will not visit again

Flavourless dishwater would be the best description of what I received. The crema was gone off the top within 10 seconds, which I knew was a bad sign. I tasted the coffee and it was dreadful. I asked for it to be replaced and the same again.The girl who served me was wearing a "Barista" shirt. A Barista she is not. Never again.

Popped in for a cuppa after Christmas shopping. I'm normally a coffee drinker, but was gasping for a cup of tea. It was very weak, despite letting it stew for 10 minutes. The second cup was marginally better.Tables were not cleared quickly and not wiped when they were.

Came here with a friend and had coffee and cakes to share! Was very busy but that is understandable as it was a busy Saturday in the run up to Christmas. Great surroundings great food and happy staff. Thank you for making our trip so much fun.

Sorry to say,as we are big fans of costa coffee,especially this time of year,we went in the colmore row cafe tonight as my wife loves the black forest Xmas special coffee,I had the Lindt hot chocolate,as my wife got the table I waited and watched the barista assembled the drinks,she seemed distracted and very slow sometimes appearing confused,there was a distinct lack of attention to detail with the black forest drink especially but I thought that was me being picky,eventually I took he drinks to our table,to be honest I've had hotter baths than that coffee and drank it in next to no time and my wife was the same and complained there was no taste to hers which at £3.95 a drink is severely disappointing,we will be reluctant to go again it is sad to say.

Generally I find this coffee shop chain good and this branch was no exception. The staff were smiling and helpful - and relatively quick in their service. The coffee was the usual quality one would expect - hot and tasty. The muffins were fresh. The shop was clean and well decorated. I have no issues with this store and would return here for coffee and a snack any time.

Great place to have quick coffee and snack before work or after or even during break time, also they have really nice muffins.

This is for the bullring shopping centre Costa can't seem to find that Costa branch on trip advisor. I ordered a latte and croissant to drink in I had two bags in hand one big one and other my handbag the guy behind the counter could see I was heavily pregnant I told him I'll go find a table please bring my order over as I can't carry it all. He looked annoyed that I asked I sat down and saw my order on the counter for a good 15 mins. It weren't busy he could see that I had found a spot to sit down he grumpily walked over with it and plonked it down. I asked for some sugar and he came back with loads of sachets did he think I needed to pour 20 sugars in ? ... Very rude and the woman clearing tables needs to wait until the customers have left not as soon as they have drank whatever and still sitting there. Have been before but never encountered such rude staff but this was over a year ago.

Quick service in this Costa in the Bullring. Very handy to pick up a coffee to take on the train if you're a Costa fan.

Staff are slow but friendly. It's really nice to sit in, clean and fresh smelling. Lovely decor. The cakes and toasties are great

I walked in to order my drink as I had forty minutes until my train left and immediately noticed that two girls behind the counter were staring at me and giggling. I brushed it off and went to order, but then the girl at the counter was gesturing at me and muttering to her colleagues whilst putting my drink through! I felt extremely awkward, especially when my order (hot chocolate with soya) was met with an eye roll, so I went to the toilet while my drink was being made to check my appearance. There was nothing amiss, so I figured it must just be my general appearance. I took my drink, which was fine, smiled and left.I just brushed the incident off after leaving, but the behaviour of the staff could really ruin someone's day. There were around five girls behind the counter, and all of them made me feel uncomfortable because of the whispering, staring and giggling. Basically, lovely drink, great location but unfortunately horrible, childish staff.

Being thirsty and needing a coffee, I was in and out of Costa's in Birmingham New Street Station within 5 minutes, on the way to getting me next train.Quick, professional baristas.Due to location, its a little dark and dingy inside - could do with better lighting.However, the Vanilla Café Latte was very good and everything you'd expect from Costa Coffee.

Came in before catching a coach for a quick bite to eat and a drink. Served by a lovely young front of house man, who was very chatty and making good conversation. Unfortunately management seemed too busy laughing in the back room (in plain sight) to help him with the long queue of people at the till! If anyone is management material, it's that guy - not the two that are too busy to provide customer service!

Can't beat Costa for a break away from shopping and this one delivered as usual. Nice that didn't have to wait which can sometimes be a problem if visiting at lunch time. The coffee and hot chocolate revived us well for the next attack of the shops. We only had toasted teacakes but these were again quickly toasted for us. Good that we could get an empty table that had been cleared without having to search.

My friends and I came here for a quick bite to eat and a drink. The man who served us was very rude to us, and took forever to make our drinks even though it wasn't busy. Our drinks were made to a poor standard and tasted like they had been watered down, there was no taste to our drinks what so ever. We were sent to sit down and wait for our food to be brought over to our table. For some reason, the waiter was unable to walk to our table and bring us our food, we had to get it ourselves cause he was too preoccupied with laughing and joking around with a colleague. He needs to be trained on customer service, I don't think he even knows what it is.

This report relates to the New Costa Coffee shop at Grand Central, New Street Station, this is my second visit and my last!! The staff albeit new, are TOTALLY useless, they love to chatter to each other rather than serve their customers!! Today I ordered a Medium Cap (extra hot) and brown toast, the coffee was only luke warm and I had to send the toast back as it was hardly toasted!! There appears to be plenty of staff but they all like to hide and chatter in their hideaway room at the back!! COME ON COSTA SORT THIS STORE OUT!!!!

We stopped off for a coffee and were served very quickly. Vanilla lattes were excellent and very hot. Comfortable and clean surroundings.

I visit Costa on a regular basis. The staff are very friendly and polite. Their drinks are great and the cake selection is great too. My favourite is the carrot cake and chocolate brownie. It can get quite noisy at times but overall a nice place to meet up with friends.

we came for a coffee and bite to eat before going to the sealife centre. I am a costa member and was impressed with the snacks on offer. My granddaughter enjoyed herself and the service was very good and busy too.

I love Costa some much I got my family and friends into it, I went to this Costa today like I do everytime I visit birmingham also friendly staff and there is always a queue but what you expect in a busy city like birmingham and costa is very popular too also there sitting area and sometimes it is hard to get a table to sit down as busy but other than that I always enjoy my Costa when I visit :)

Just your standard Costa Coffee really. It is nice just to have a break from shopping, have a sit down and a drink - if you can get a table that is. I have been here several times in the past and often struggle to get a table. Apart from that though it makes for a great coffee shop in a very busy shopping centre.

I love my coffee and take it straight black... how hard can it be right? Visited with the family and it was busy, but we are talking Thursday afternoon not Saturday lunchtime here! Dirty tables, rushed drinks and that feeling of just spending a small fortune and for what? Very disappointed Costas :(

Costa coffee is my favourite. I'm not going to lie. Mainly because they are the only coffee chain on the high street which cater for my needs and serve decaf tea. So brownie points there costa.However, when I have to queue for 15 mins to get a drink, that's not great. I just don't get why they can't have a better system running in these coffee shops. Surely it is possible??? Then on top, I ordered buttered crumpets. One came cooked and delicious. The other came stone cold and utterly revolting. When I asked I was told it was because they'd squeezed a lot of items onto the cooking racks because they were so busy. Undercooked food is a no-no in my book. Sorry costa. I was just thankful that it was only a crumpet and not something meat or fish based.Would I return - well, yes I would but purely for the decaf tea.....

Had a lovely day out in Birmingham and decided to finish the day having a coffee before catching the train back, got in to the cue with roughly about 7-8 people in font of me. I've been to literally hundreds of coffee shops in my time, and many Costa, but I can say that this was by far the most poorly organised and slowest service I have seen, there must have been 5-6 staff on duty, with the only person doing his job with any sort of efficiency and that was the guy collecting dirty cups and trays. It was more than 25 minutes to get to take my order and then still more than 7 minutes to make two drinks, a latte and a flat white. The manager seemed more interested in being on the phone during this time and the staff had no urgency whatsoever, the coffee itself was ok but not the best quality from Costa, not sure why today was so poor, as have been here in the past and it seemed adequate. With so many other coffee outlets in the area I will be choosing differently I the future .

We popped in for a coffee and a snack whilst visiting the craft market, the whole coffee shop was dirty, the floors were sticky the toilet was dreadful however this was not down to lazy staff it was understaffed for the amount of custom, one poor girl was rushing around trying to clear up and apologising to anyone who made eye contact a truly awful experience!

Like the majority of Costa's this is well located in the centre of Birmingham. Staff polite and friendly. Clean and tidy inside. Worth a pit stop in between shopping.

Stopped for breakfast, not sure what was on offer. Didn't want to pay £15 for breakfast in the Holiday Inn, come on, its a bit much when you don't want the full English....Anyway Costa, do a great role or bap as they say here with bacon and egg. It was really great and not too expensive. Well done girls, free wifi as well.

We always aim for Costa whenever we r out and about .. Coffee fab.. Service fab .. Tables could have been cleared but in there defence it was extremely busy.

I had some trouble to locate the Costa shop since it was my first visit to the new-look station. It's located on the upper level in the south-east corner. I chose a sandwich from the fridge immediately inside the entrance, lined up in the queue and waited a couple of minutes to be served. After I had paid, it took maybe 5 minutes for the coffee and sandwich to be delivered. My coffee americano was brewed to my style (not the least sufficiently strong) and the ham 'n' cheese sandwich was quite alright after heating without being fantastic.

Dont go if you are in a rush this is one of the busiest costa i have ever been in coffee was good and nice selection of pastries but so so busy
