Costa Coffee in County Durham

Worst coffee I've ever had. The coffee tasted like it was made with rotten coffee beans and the milk was sour. I have contacted food standards. I have been sick from it

Pasta is lovely and hot. Coffee tried the Maple Hazel latte with oat milk and really nice will definitely buy again

I don't know why you guys never add straw my order even after I still have to add a note. . how is this hard to do? Inefficient bunch

mocha was weak, usually arrives nice and frothy .

Came here as had "5mins" for a coffee break, as only in Consett for a work call. Had the new Salted Caramel Milkshake (as a take out), and very nice too!! Staff friendly and helpful. Would come again when next in Consett.

After a hard day my friend and I thought we would enjoy a nice relaxing latte at costa consett. When we entered the cafe their was a chap already being served and a young girl in front of us waiting to be seen. There we 2 women working the machine making drinks. We entered the cafe just after 4:45pm on the 9th feb. I was eventually served at 5pm, no sorry for your wait, no apologies of any sort just a grunt n groan from the dark headed,short, medium built woman. At the finish I had to request our drinks in take out cups as we were limited for time.

Met up with a few friends for a coffee. No queue, so served quickly, but think the server was in training. She was polite and friendly, but wasn’t too sure how to make an oat milk latte. One of her colleagues had to take over, but this wasn’t a problem. Very few tables were free, and those that were, hadn’t been cleared, so a little disappointing. Although the place wasn’t that busy, it was rather untidy, but not sure if this was due to staff shortages or something else.

Seems to have gone downhill … coffee is good but apart from that I expect more from the Costa brand 😔 the service is average but the cleanliness is very disappointing … three staff and tables not cleared and floor could do with a wash let alone a sweep to pick up the debris. It’s not a nice welcome when you walk through the door and see tables not cleared 🤬

Missing sandwich from bag. Only the coffee from my order was present.

Longest wait ever. Was very busy but I think the stagg were not very well organised. They were very slow. Apart from the girl making the coffees who was very good until she allowed another member of staff to squirt the cream on my latte. He launched the coffee everywhere. Had to wait for it to be re made after being in the shop over 15mins already. I go to Costa regularly but not this one and I won't go back.

The white hot chocolate didn’t taste of anything other then hot milk

I really love the breakfast food from Costa. The egg spinach and mushroom bap is to die for - not veggie nor fussy but man I’ve tried to recreate it so many times to no avail. Thank goodness they deliver.

Staff and service friendly and efficient. No problem finding a table and seat. Had latte and a tuna melt sandwich, both very nice.

Didn’t get the right sweet treat

The delivery was on time and friendly driver. But the order was missing items from Costa order. Two bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches and a frappe. Costa is too expensive to be missing items on an order. I am beyond upset and have had no resolution on the order.

I ordered at 15:07 and the order got delivered an hour and a half later, the toastie was freezing cold and rock hard to eat.

Gave me an almond slice instead of the blonde brownie i asked for.

I have always been very standoffish about costa coffee, i guess i still am as i personally feel like it's extremely overpriced and full of ponch's. The staff seemed friendly i suppose and the place was clean and they had chillout music 🎶 🎵 on in the background, the coffee i was got was nice but it just all seems a pointless to me..in my eyes 👀 you go out for a drink & that involves a pub or at the very least a small owner owned cafe..would I go again, if I had to, but i still wont change my mind, its a bit lefty for my cuppa tea..

Atmosphere was lovely and staff were great. Coffee was very nice too. Place was so clean and tidy which is a credit to the staff.

Ordered Chicken and Bacon Toastie but recieved Ham & Cheese, with no message from them to advise it would be different. Toastie isn't worth the price, was barely toasted and barely any cheese or ham...Latte was nice though.

£5.60 for a toastie I never recieved. Coffee is good but don't bother ordering their "meals"

Slow and understaffed tables and seat not very clean. We had to clean a table to use.

Bacon sandwiches great as usual but why was my latte removed from my order????? The only reason I use Costa is for the lattes!!!! Not happy at not getting my latte fix today 😪

Staff member very friendly and helpful. I have a nut allergy and she went through the allergy book with me . I felt a bit bad for holding the que up but nothing seemed to be to much for her .name on the reciept says Ami .♥️ XX

Impeccable service, as always in this store

A drive through Costa, can be busy at times, drive through is tight, I find it better off parking in the normal carpark and walk in. Friendly staff, comfortable seating, typical Costa, could always be cheaper for cake of coffee 😉 Always my preference to a Starbucks

Food and drink is wonderful as always. But the staff are always so warm and welcoming. Maddy is especially friendly. Service makes this place brilliant 👏

Lovely coffee shop. Girl with the split dyed blue and black hair who served was lovely and friendly. Definitely recommend.

Always better than Starbucks. Normally use drive thru, and the staff are great on it. Never had any issue

Delicious food and caramel latte

One of the better Costa's, staff very efficient, and don't ignore counter customer to favor drive through traffic, (unlike Starbucks) nice atmosphere and good mix of generations.

Love the atmosphere in this costa.

They didn't have a very good selection of food. However, we did visit late afternoon.

Salted Caramel frappe did not have my salted caramel was just a cold coffee not a frappe

Friendly service, good range of sandwiches and snacks to go with coffee. Would be good to have more meal deals and offers as prices can be quite high for some things.

Order was taken and the delivery driver hadn’t even started work. Was over 1.5 hours late.

Took the kids for a "hot" chocolate drink just before Christmas. Couldn't believe the prices, 60p each kids drink!!! Didn't think it was possible to go out and spend so little money, three drinks £3.80. Kids loved the hot chocolate as it comes ready to drink and it's not burning hot 🔥. Toilets were clean, staff were super friendly and everything had a festive atmosphere. Will be going back.

Convenient central location. Usual Costa offerings; sandwiches are fresh. No wifi when we were there. Still no wifi, 8 months later.

System updated eventually with amended delivery and the coffee was hot and muffin delicious so all good

Loved it in here came in with husbands nan for lunch we had a latte and toasted sandwich and some millionaire shortbread. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff in there are really lovely and chatty. Wouldnt hesitate to go again. Pricey for what we had but knew costa is so was prepared.

Order got cancelled. Cakes must have been sold out just as I ordered and website said available which was disappointing but I ordered again and chose something else instead. Coffee good as always

Very good - makes a nice flat white and has the usual range of cakes and savouries available. Service fairly quick and usually able to get a table indoors. Free parking available.

Inside a typical costa . Staff very slow .Boiled the milk when making latte.Cant use thermometer.Need retraining as soon as possible

Quick delivery, only problem, I asked for caramel latte and they sent salted caramel instead. Hate salted caramel! Ended up pouring it away.

Went to costa today and had to give my order 2 times, then when i recieved my order it was totally wrong. Staff need reeducted on competency and customer satisfaction!!!

Needs some TLC in the deco, tables and chairs. Coffee was not hot enough but millionaire shortbread was delicious.

Honestly, thanks so much for finally delivering to our area, I can't drive for medical purposes but I absolutely love Costa and so it's very difficult for me to enjoy this place especially from the comfort of my own home, thank you :)

The restaurant was great and separated the cream from my oat milk frappe without me asking which was very helpful. It took a good while to assign a driver which isn't their fault but then another 30 for the order to be on the way to me. However, the drinks were lovely and the hot drink was still quite warm despite the drive distance.

Absolutely lovely, forgot the cream but the drink and the food was beautiful, definitely recommended and delivery driver was very polite :) thank you!

A very welcome visit - the Christmas themed menu is delicious. My favourite is the After Eight mint hot chocolate, perfection in a cup. The nice way of warming up on a cold winter day.

I would give a 5 star but they always run out of coconut milk, like always, many times I've had to take my own coconut milk, and ask them to make me coffee, we use them everyday as their coffee is only one we like, and all we ever order is coconut latte, its only drink I personally can drink, I hope they make larger orders of coconut milk as they always run out, they had none for 5 days, got a delivery, ran out again 2 days later, I hate leaving any kind of bad reviews, the staff are lovely, but it's so annoying to never have the drink I like.

It’s okay if you’re wanting a quick cup of coffee via drive thru. Don’t expect the drink you ordered though! Every coffee comes as a latte, I’ve found. Service in store is slow, seem more preoccupied with hitting their drive thru KPIs!

Worst customer service ever , no manners and when we checked order missed cream and marshmallows that’s after twice confirming the order seems to be a regular thing here

Always clean and tidy, staff are helpful and friendly, usually not too busy which is good. Drive through as well as sit in available.
