Costa Coffee in East Renfrewshire

Popped in to purchase teas and a latte,I wasn't sure if one of the people took milk, the server gave me some milk which I thought was very nice

Paid on Just Eat for a £34 order which should have came with 4 toastie sandwiches and two lattes, but only the coffees and one toastie came, how can they not read or call up if they didn't have it, utterly disappointed with this service.

I have been a customer o and this particular coffee shop, more or less since it opened it's doors, I am so disappointed ☹️ that whenever my wife gets me a coffee ☕ from here then it's supplied 3/4 of a cupful (when the operator pours the coffee it's only goes to 3/4 cup the rest is filled with bubbles), because of this it makes the coffee extra strong. I do like to go to this shop as it is my local but due to the parking problem's associated with this shop I might just take my business elsewhere. I love COSTA COFFEE and this is the only shop that in my travels (from Middlesbrough to Wick + all of the Island's), appears not to be able to give Customer satisfaction. I am so sorry Michael but I feel I need to make this complaint. Hugh....

Coffee was okay. No waiting, really. When in need of a coffee this place is fine.

I visit a friend in Clarkston regularly each time I’m there I pop into costa for a coffee before my train home, the assistant Jen is always very welcoming and always offers to heat up my bun, service with a smile and that extra of asking how my day is and then listing goes a long way. Fantastic customer service.

It's a Costa Coffee and it fulfils that role well

Visited on the afternoon of Sunday, 25th June and was incredibly disappointed with the cleanliness of the place. It wasn't particularly busy during the few hours we were there and despite there being 3 members of staff on, not one attempt was made to clean up the messy tables or mess on the floors left by others. This used to be a really nice, clean place to visit so it's a shame to see it become so grubby.

Can't fault the first class customer service, though I think I popped in at the wrong time as stock was low... Staff were making every effort with housekeeping but you can see where the unit is looking tired - as a company Costa seems to have went down the McDonald's route and saturated the market, but with price increases it's not what you could call value for money at the moment

Staff is not trained, have to wait 35 minutes for our drinks, after 35 minutes we being told that our order can't be fulfilled as ingredients out of stock. No apologies

I was here for lunch with my youngest grandchild. The service isn’t super-fast but it is friendly. As usual it was quite busy with a fair number of school kids. It’s standard Costa fare - and as usual on the high side of acceptable pricing.

Friendly staff but no impressed by one member who dropped two items on the floor and picked them up to use without washing them. Seats Nd floor were disgusting and dirty. Only here because of a birthday voucher. This is February and there were house flies in this establishment.

Handy for a quick coffee before the trains for Glasgow or East Kilbride arrive at the station.

Urrgg worse coffee I've had in a long time. Luke warm and weak, couldn't even taste the coffee. 1st and last time for me.

2 hours waiting for our order and it’s still not arrived. No contact whatsoever and the number goes straight through to an answering machine. Wouldn’t recommend at all

I visit costa in Clarkston as often as I can around my shifts at work. I'm always greeted in a friendly manner by name and they know my usual order without having to ask. There are some members of staff in particular who are fabulous and go out their way to make sure you've got what you need and promptly. Jen, Michael, Saffron, Sandra, Grace and Oliver are all assets to the company and make it such a lovely place for me to go to for my coffee and toast. I can sit and relax and read my book without hassles. All excellent baristas with great customer service skills

Terrible. I told the guy I didn’t want extra packaging and I was just going to carry everything. He took the bap out of its packet and put it in a box, stuffed in extra napkins then put it in a bag. All of that went in the bin. What a waste. They really don’t care.

I found my interactions with staff awfully unpleasant and I see them as very ill mannered individuals. Asking for things as simple as where is the sugar got them wound up .Disappointed to say the least .

One of the worst Costa shops I have ever been in. cappuccino has a nasty aftertaste. the staff are unfriendly & are more interested in talking to each other rather than serving customers

Very clean premises, well stocked and friendly staff.

Wanted a quiet coffee on a Sunday afternoon to read the paper. This was prevented by a male member of staff who drew attention to himself by shouting and even breaking in to song at times. Not acceptable.

Yet another coffee shop that didn't have any cream. Ridiculous.

Why won’t you let people pay with contactless cards? Instead you’re making people download your silly app and enforcing a registration. It’s so obvious that you’re taking advantage of the pandemic to force registrations to meet some silly target. it’s bad behaviour

Glad to have Costa back, great coffee and food excellent. Staff are very helpful, and courteous.

Not sure who is responsible for cleaning the disabled toilet. On Monday 9 November I visited with my friend. Considering all the hand hygiene precautions the toilet was disgraceful. Important that it should be crucial.

Call in regularly to Costa, Clarkston and can be assured of a nice welcome. The only coffee house that gets my request correct. The staff are extremely hard working and try their utmost to satisfy customers. Always a pleasure to visit

Manager was so sweet to everyone else but not to me n my boyfriend as soon as we walked in? Also the vanilla latte was not well made.

I wanted to go to Costa coffee but as I was walking in I already had heard very loud singing and i actually came here to have peace and quiet but i coninued to walk in despite the noise as i was ordring i noticed that the person who was singing was a man and i think his name is Michael but im still unsure. The coffee was bitter and the seats were a little amount so i had to wait standong as my coffee was getting colder. I would never go again.

Not a good experience, ordered £5 worth , sat for 1.5hrs , told to buy something else as its "getting busy". I was going to, just not so soon after a LARGE coffee and cake. Is this how you treat customers during COVID? Well I won't be back!

The place from outside looks pretty decent. I got inside and it seemed very loud, it can do with a bit more hygene we had to ask members of staff i think his name Michael he took a long time to do so, it seems like he was only good at raising his voice. I think the staff should concentrate on costumer service rather than talking and joking around.

Track and trace did not work.staff didn't care. Tables not cleared or cleaned after being used. Very unsafe. Staff were only there to make the company money, not interested in the customer's safety or health. Please don't even walk past, cross the road.

Love having a coffee in here . Can get mega busy at times and loud. But most of the time its a good place to relax. Staff always greet you with a smile

the almond milk latte and mango/passion fruit cooler is great, in my opinion better than other places like starbucks. the ham and cheese toasties are delicious, the staff are nice, i like the homely and cosy decor and there is 2 fairly close by costa’s near me. apart from it being expensive i would recommend costa coffee.

Customer service was diabolical. The lady behind the till was okay, she seemed to be at a bit of a loss on how to get some items onto the till, when she asked for help the other staff member just tapped buttons on the screen in a bit of a “huff” and then said “she’s new” - poor soul! The older lady then proceeded to take over and started raising her voice at my partner (as if he was stupid) saying we don’t make regular coffees, it’s medium. When we explained that that wasn’t even part of the issue and that we would like a soya gingerbread latte (dietary requirement) she looked very confused - it’s on the board! When rudeness got too much from this lady, my partner insist we left, which we did. I’ve never experienced this much bad customer service. Clearly this woman shouldn’t have been training either! How ridiculous, whitbread never used to stand for things like this!

We are big fans of Costa and go there often. The staff are usually pretty good and coffee is great . Not to strong which I don't like. The one at Clarkston is good and loads of room to sit a while and chat which is what coffee is all about 😊

Lovely visit once again. Visit here on a weekly basis with my baby and sometimes my bigger girls and friends. Great coffee and cake. Such a lovely group of staff too- Michael, Saffron, Kian amongst many more. Sorry don’t have all the names. Always so friendly, helpful and efficient. Can’t rate highly enough 10/10

Nice Costa quick service and clean tables and toilet, makes a change. Good displays of cakes to nice and spacious.

Staff chatting amongst themselves at total disregard to waiting customers, also managed to get the order wrong which I was told was my fault.... Anyway suffice to say I'll be heading to independent places for my coffee from now on.

It's a standard Costa. There's better coffee shops in Clarkston.

I love Costa coffee's relaxed atmosphere. It really is a place for everyone! The manager is great so friendly and mucks in with all the staff which is a true sign of leadership. All the staff are so friendly and happy to help and of course the coffee is great!

Great place fabulous staff. Disappointed that £4.95 lunch deal is cancelled over Christmas. Loyal customers throughout the year miss out. A bit mean to say the least. Numbers are down normally so busy. Poor show Costa.

It's Costa,you know what you're getting with it! This one is relatively large so getting a table not usually an issue and large windows across the front to watch the day go by.

Young male member of staff ..didn't seem to concentrate much on what he as doing..just stuck my coffee on a tray no acknowledgment at all !!!

The costa coffee itself it good but the older lady who works here was very rude when i last visited.The cafe doesn’t shut till 7pm but she wanted to close off half the seating area at 5pm. So put chairs to cone off half the space. I was sitting in the seating area she had obviously decided to close off. I had been in for a while working on a laptop using the wifi, still a paying customer i had just ordered a panini. The cafe was still very busy, all the tables in the other area occupied. A man sat at the table beside mine to which she rudely told him off and he left (as there was no where else to sit). She then reminded me she was wanting to close this area so i shortly left too.Having worked in a coffee shop previously i think this is unnecessary. Theres no need to close off half the cafe so early if it is busy. Also, speaking to paying customers the way she did is unacceptable.

Strategically placed Costa Coffee shop in Clarkston just 25 +/- mins from Glasgow . Clearly a meeting place for many locals though. Sadly it is surrounded by at least 7 charity shops which, although serving a purpose, shows it's lacking a fresh Butchers, a grocery shop and a focused bakery shop as examples. The decline of services for those who really need them. I visited all the charity shops buying some items needed at home. I was truly impressed by the overwhelming friendliness of all I met. I was really really impressed with the service here. I don't often go to Costa as I'm not a fan of their coffee (which is why this isn't 5 stars) but my two waitresses were so lovely it made my day.

This is, in my opinion, the poshest Costa Coffee I have ever seen. The staff are very polite and friendly. The food is fresh and tasty as in all Costas. Outwith the busy lunchtime it can be quite quiet and calm at times, which I love.

Pleasant Visit to Costa on the Main Street in Clarkston. We use this fairly regularly when in the area. Always good fairly swift service and a good selection of cakes. They have good high chairs for young children as well.

A good weekend place for a coffee.

Costa opened here well over a year ago and provides a good addition to the coffee scene in Clarkston. Located on the main shopping road, the unit looks very smart, with a bright glass frontage, good seating and good lighting.It’s open from very early (6.30am I think) until late evening, selling standard Costa fare (which is good). There is a good amount of comfy seating. I have been here a few times and always found the service to be friendly. It’s a chain store of course but it’s a positive for the area.

Been here on afew mornings now. Staff have always been helpful and smiling.
